Laster, the rapper’s attorney, Dawn Florio, questioned if the search was legal. The Post reported that the Cadillac Escalade was idling in a no-standing zone, prompting the police to investigate.

“Cops found two loaded .380-caliber pistols and two loaded 9mm handguns inside the vehicle,” the outlet stated. Additionally, it was noted that no one in the vehicle “had a valid license for the guns.”

Tjay was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. This is classified as a felony. He is slated to bond out of Rikers Island today (January 18) after posting $90,000 bail.

“He didn’t get out because the judge wouldn’t [take time] to sign or look at the bond,” said Florio. “It was the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”

There was a gun that was allegedly found behind the driver’s seat in the back,” Florio said. She further argued that one firearm was “found on the licensed security guard. And two guns in a lock box. They started searching the car and they found the guns.”

“But the security guard, who is a retired federal officer,” she continued. “They didn’t care.”

Meanwhile, at the same time of Tjay’s arrest, Ice Spice was also in the Bronx facing off with police. She was reportedly in a vehicle with a man when they were stopped by officers. The man was arrested and also charged with criminal possession of a firearm.

Ice Spice’s “In Ha Mood” Music Video Shoot Had The Bronx Turning Up

In recent years, no one has had a come-up quite like Ice Spice. Just last summer, it was her “Munch (Feelin’ U)” single that turned the world on its head, and now, her “in ha mood” track is having a similar impact on the masses.

While it first started gaining attention thanks to apps like TikTok, the song is now available across all streaming platforms. From the looks of things, we’ll also be getting an accompanying music video in the near future. If the rising rap diva’s past work counts for anything, this one is sure to be equally as lit.

TMZ obtained footage of the Bronx baddie filming in her borough of the city on Monday (January 16). In the clip, Spice stands on top of a car while rapping along to her bars. Instead of her signature ginger afro, she’s sporting a sleek, straight hairstyle with bangs.

“Like, what? Let’s keep it a buck / Bitches too borin’, got ’em stuck in a rut,” the crowd sings along as the New Yorker dances and flaunts her figure. “Lamborghini roarin’ when I hop out the truck / Pretty bitch like Lauryn with a big ass butt, yup.”

Many eyes were on Spice at the shoot, but the dancers in the crowd are what really kept the energy going. Even in the chilly winter temperatures, they clearly know how to have a great time and enjoy the music.

As it turns out, yesterday’s set was actually for the 23-year-old’s collaboration with Lil Tjay, “Gangsta Boo.” However, the latter is under arrest after law enforcement made contact with him at a traffic stop. It’s been said he was brought in in connection with an “alleged weapons violation.”

At this time, we know that five men were inside the vehicle with four handguns. Fans are presently waiting for more details regarding the situation. With any luck, we’ll see Spice and her colleague on set together in no time.

Lil Tjay Was Allegedly Arrested For Gun Possession On The Way To Film A Music Video With Ice Spice

Rapper Lil Tjay may have beat the odds stacked against him, but he’s falling into one of the biggest traps set for rappers, random encounters with local law enforcement. After surviving multiple gunshot wounds during a botched robbery attempt last June, the rapper has made a triumphant return to music, but it may come to a screeching halt.

According to TMZ, Lil Tjay was arrested while on the way to film a music video for the song “Gangsta Boo,” a collaboration with fellow Bronx native Ice Spice. In their reporting, the rapper has been charged with gun possession. Video quickly surfaced online of a person who looks like the musician being detained and then quickly escorted by New York City Police officers while handcuffed into a squad car.

Instead of canceling the video shoot after learning of Lil Tjay’s arrest, Spice shifted gears to film a video instead for her song “In Ha Mood.”

With rappers like Young Thug’s lyrics being used against him during his current RICO case in the state of Georgia, things don’t look good for Lil Tjay. Not only does Lil Tjay have prior arrests for gun possession, amongst other things, on his record, but in his music, he has often rapped about keeping weapons on his person.

Little is known at this time. But we will keep you updated as more information is released.
