Ice Spice’s ‘Princess Diana’ Has Fans Crowning Her As Royalty

Last night, Ice Spice suddenly dropped her new debut EP, Like..?, and fans were buzzing. Even more iconic was the EP’s tracklist, which features a track called “Princess Diana,” named after the late Royal.

“Nowadays I be duckin’ them cameras / And they hype that I’m up on them banners / Callin’ my phone, but they know I don’t answer (Why?) / In the hood I’m like Princess Diana,” Ice Spice rhymes on the song.

Her fans were immediately obsessed with the energy, as many had compared the rising star rapper to Princess Di on social media. She clearly has seen the memes and decided to use them to her advantage. It also doubles as Spice crowning herself as royalty.

“i know Princess Diana is looking down at her kids Harry & Ice Spice rn with joy in her eyes,” one fan wrote, including Prince Harry in the mix.

“u literally have no clue about the connection between ice spice and lady di, ice spice is princess diana reincarnated, pls take down ur comment as i find it extremely offensive,” another added.

Beyoncé’s Ivy Park x Adidas ‘Park Trail’ Collection Campaign Will Feature Offset, Ice Spice, And More

Beyoncé fans are seemingly losing their patience with their Queen Bey thanks to the delayed visuals for her latest album Renaissance. Still, the Grammy Award record holder hopes a new Ivy Park x Adidas collection will hold them over.

The entertainer’s latest line, Park Trail, will feature gender-neutral performance apparel pieces, including sequined jackets, faux fur coats, canvas tracksuits, performance tights, hoodies, sweaters, and sweatshirts in forest green, lime green, cream white, indigo orange, purple and camouflage print. In a statement released by the company, they describe the line as a “trail-blazing expression of performance wear inspired by the resilience of the outdoors, the spirit of the streets, and the possibilities of the future.”

The collection will be available in Adidas stores and online beginning February 9 and select retailers globally on February 10. In a promotional campaign to announce the line, rapper Offset and his son Cody will make an appearance, as well as Ice Spice, Devon Aoki, and more. Ice Spice & Lil Tjay Team Up On “Gangsta Boo” Single

Since she exploded onto the scene last summer, Ice Spice has delivered plenty of hit singles. “Munch (Feelin’ U)” initially got her on the world’s radar. That song was quickly followed by tracks like “Bikini Bottom” and “In Ha Mood.”

Now that the 23-year-old is well-established within the rap game, it was about time for her debut EP to arrive. On Friday (January 20), the New Yorker shared her Like..? project, complete with three previously released titles as well as three brand new ones.

The sole feature on the short but sweet effort comes from Lil Tjay on “Gangsta Boo,” which surfaced online earlier this month. Initially, Spice and her collaborator were due to film their accompanying music video ahead of the song’s arrival.

However, the “Calling My Phone” hitmaker ran into police at a traffic stop before making it to set. Upon searching the vehicle, authorities found several firearms inside, leading the young lyricist to be taken into custody.

Rather than waste the day, Spice turned the shooting day into one for her “In Ha Mood” single. Video footage captured a few days ago shows that the redhead’s hometown was going hard for her in front of the cameras as she rapped along.

It remains unclear when we’ll receive the official music video for “Gangsta Boo,” but Ice spoke with Ebro Darden to explain her link-up with Lil Tjay.

“I made the song, and then I was just thinking who I would hear on it really. But I wanted it to be a real genuine collab,” she recalled. “We’ve been friends since last year, so I was just like, ‘Yeah, who better than him?’”

Ice Spice has arrived with a new EP. Named after one of her signature catchphrases, the Bronx rapper delivers Like..?, the first release through her partnership with 10K Projects and Capitol Records.

The full EP arrives after Ice Spice delivered the new single, “In Ha Mood,” dedicated to all the baddies on the planet.

Prior to its official release, “In Ha Mood” has amassed over 975K views on YouTube, 2.2M streams on SoundCloud, and 70K creations on TikTok. On the single, Ice Spice’s baddie demeanor exudes in the bars as she sidesteps munches, while being the one everyone wants to get next to.

Ice Spice Is Searching For A ‘Gangsta Boo’ With Her New Lil Tjay Collaboration

Ice Spice has released her much-anticipated debut EP, Like…?. Though the EP came only after a few hours’ notice, Spice already has the internet going crazy. On the EP is her Lil Tjay collaboration, “Gangsta Boo,” the video for which was reportedly scheduled for earlier this week, however, was put on hold due to Tjay’s arrest.

On the song, “Gangsta Boo,” Spice is searching for a special kind of love. Over a drilled-up sample of Diddy’s 2002 hit single, “I Need A Girl, Part 2,” Spice says that she’s looking for a “gangsta boo,” rapping, “I’m tryna see how a gangsta move / He never worried bout no exes / All on my body, I’m the bestest / Diamonds keep dancing on my necklace.”

Tjay hops in with a verse, letting Spice know that he fits her criteria.

“I’m a gangsta, I keep it legit / I could hold you, I told her some secrets / So she know I be on that sh*t / Told her ‘not so much know what you know,’ he raps.

Adding a modern touch to an early aughts classic, the two New York rappers play well off of their chemistry with each other.

Ice Spice Lives Up To Her Name With Some Particularly Spicy NSFW Art For Her Debut EP, ‘Like…?’

After an eventful 2022, which saw Ice Spice go viral with several hits, the New York rapper is gearing up for the release of her debut EP. Today (January 19), she took to Instagram and Twitter to reveal the title of the EP, Like…?.

The EP’s artwork left little to the imagination. In the cover art, she is seen bent over, and on the back of the cover art, the tracklist is written on her backside.

Earlier this week, Spice was spotted in New York City shooting music videos for some of the EP’s songs. She was reportedly set to film the video for a song called “Gangsta Boo,” however, her collaborator, Lil Tjay, was reportedly arrested ahead of the shoot. Fans then shared images of her and her crew dancing to “In Ha Mood,” presumably using the time to shoot the video for that single instead.

It appears Spice is dropping the EP at midnight tonight, as she has been retweeting tweets with the hashtag #LIKEATMIDNIGHT.

Lil Tjay also took to Twitter, saying, “Me nd @icespicee_ dropping some pain tonight!”

In the meantime, you can check out the cover art and tracklist for Like…? below.

Ice Spice Had The Perfect Response For A Fan Who Criticiqued Her Throwback Outfit

Ice Spice isn’t just in ha mood — she’s the mood. The 23-year-old Bronx, New York drill rapper was neck-and-neck with GloRilla for the rap rookie of the year title in 2022, and she’s keeping that momentum going in 2023. Her success so far hinges on her blunt charisma and a fondness for mid-2000s nostalgia, a preference that often extends to her wardrobe.

However, not everybody is as fond of her lewks, as demonstrated by one fan’s response to an outfit of the day photo she posted to her Twitter. “Ice Spice needs a stylist bro, wtf is this??” they asked. Unfazed, Ice Spice clapped back with the perfect response. “U wouldn’t get it,” she razzed. She also retweeted a few behind-the-scenes shots from her recent music video shoot in the same outfit, as well as some fan art.

FWIW, the outfit — a pair of stone-washed jeans with a white camisole bedecked in belts and capped off with a pair of Jordan IV — was something of a mall staple in 2005, and while Ice would only have been five years old at the time, her throwback look is no worse than when my generation was wearing outfits that could’ve worked on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

With her timeless style and fan-favorite singles “Munch” and “Bikini Bottom” offering a well of quote-worthy bars, it’s probably only a matter of time until Ice Spice’s outfits become inescapable. If and when she hires a stylist, something tells me she won’t be changing up her look too much.
