YBC Dul’s Father Speaks Out After Rapper’s Death

Abdul Vicks, who performed under the name YBC Dul, was shot and killed in West Philadelphia on Friday afternoon at the age of 25. He was hit multiple times in the chest and right hand before being transported to a nearby hospital. There, he was pronounced dead. Police have yet to make any arrests in the case.

Vicks’ father mourned his son in a post on social media after news of the shooting broke. “Hey all of my son friends / family.. etc i am dul’s father,” he began, as caught by No Jumper. “I was handed over all my babyboys belongs this morning by his close friends & I wanted to clear up any confusion my son Abdul Vicks was murdered yesterday afternoon broad daylight while sitting in the back of his car alongside with his friend who was also shot in the hand my son was not on a bike when he was killed nothing of that such so that video going around is not him stop the false news,” he said. Further in his post, his father admitted that his son wasn’t always a “saint.” Prosecutors had previously accused Vicks of being the ringleader of a violent gang, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

He continued: “lk my son did not live a life of a saint but I was not born yesterday either my son was targeted in some set up plot that’s the only way they could get him from up close like that & I’m standing on that, for someone to be able to walk up so close to his car was the first red flag for sure & I promise we not gon stop till ya dudes are exposed I spoke to my son the night before this all went down & I just couldn’t understand why this talk outta all days felt different “pops it’s been weird cars passing by me for a week now idk I just feel weird whenever I’m in PhiIly” … i swear whatever u was running from son they was watching u closely & imma expose it.”

Legendary Rapper And Producer Scarface Has Been Hospitalized For An Undisclosed Ailment

Health is truly wealth. Legendary rapper and producer Scarface would certainly agree with this ideology. Over the years, the Geto Boys member has documented his frightening medical ups and downs, which included a kidney transplant and a battle with the coronavirus.

Sadly, Scarface is back in the hospital for an undisclosed ailment. Yesterday (August 23), the “F*ck You Too” rapper posted an image of himself receiving medical treatment. “Ouch… Grateful,” read the caption.

Scarface did not outline the nature of his treatment or what he was admitted for. But the Houston Chronicle pointed out that one of the professionals in the image belonged to the facility’s Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. After he’s had time to properly heal, Scarface might provide the public with further information.

Until then, several hip-hop titans, including DJ Premier, Mannie Fresh, E40, DJ Quik, Twista, Three 6 Mafia, and Krayzie Bone rushed to the post’s comment section to wish the Southern rap icon a speedy recovery.

“Prayers sent Face! Continue to heal. Love you, Brad,” wrote Premier.

“Praying for a speedy recovery family. I love you,” penned E40.

“Let’s go bro, we got things to do,” added Mannie Fresh.

“Brad, we got more work to do bro bro. Ain’t no time to be out of time,” chimed Quik.

“God, watch, protect, and heal my brother,” inked Twista.

Kanye West Takes North Toy Shopping In South Korea

Kanye West brought his daughter, North, out toy shopping in South Korea after he traveled to the country for his Vultures 2 album listening party on Friday night. In pictures obtained by TMZ, Ye rocked a white hoodie while picking out different toys with his “Talking / Once Again” collaborator. It’s unclear whether it was happening simultaneously, but paparazzi also snapped Bianca Censori out with West’s other children as well.

As for the Vultures 2 listening party, West performed dozens of his most popular hits from throughout his career. In addition to his new collaborations with Ty Dolla Sign, he performed “All Falls Down,” “Diamonds From Sierra Leone,” “Jesus Walks, “Through the Wire,” “Hey Mama, “Heard ‘Em Say,” “Touch the Sky,” “Gold Digger,” “Runaway,” “Blood on the Leaves,” “Father Stretch My Hands, Pt. 1,” and many more songs.

Additionally, while performing “24,” West strangely gave Joe Budden a shout-out. “Jooeeee Budden! God’s not finished,” he sang. Budden responded to the moment while mimicking his singing on social media afterward. “Them Korean n***as was like, ‘what the f**k are you talking about,” he remarked. Budden wasn’t the only celebrity Ye dedicated a song to. For his Graduation classic, “I Wonder,” he brought up Drake and Ian Connor. “This one for Drake. This one for Ian Connor,” he said. Ye dropped Vultures 2 back on August 3. It peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. He and Ty plan on releasing the third album in the trilogy later this year.

Jason Lee Trashes BIA For “Horrible” Cardi B Diss Track

Jason Lee says that the diss track BIA released for Cardi B was “horrible” and explained his opinion on her music during an interview with VladTV. BIA dropped the track, “SUE MEEE?,” back in June after Cardi seemingly threw shade at her on the “Wanna Be (Remix)” with Megan Thee Stallion and Glorilla. At first, Lee thought there wasn’t any serious drama between them.

“It was horrible,” Lee began. “First of all, BIA’s birthday, we have the same birthday. We’re both Leo’s, August 16th. Happy early birthday BIA. BIA thought I hated her for so long because my staff would write about her sneak-dissing Cardi and she would say, ‘You’re tryna create all these problems between me and Cardi,’ and I used to get on my staff like, ‘Hey, please don’t create unnecessary beef between these girls if there’s no beef there.’ And, they were like, ‘No, but she’s sneak dissing her.’ And, I’m like, ‘Well, she’s saying she’s not.’ This was going on and on and on and then, Cardi felt the way she felt and I would say, ‘Oh, I talked to BIA. She’s not sneak-dissing you.’ And then all that happened.”

He continued: “It was like, you started a beef with somebody who is 10 tiers above your career for no reason other than to pander to Nicki Minaj probably. And, it backfired on you because that was a horrible horrible thing. It wasn’t like when Remy went after Nicki and ‘Shether’ literally ended that beef or Kendrick that just laid Drake to sleep in one song. This was a poor attempt to get what? To get a moment that fizzled away and now, nobody’s talking about you. And I think that BIA’s talented. She’s beautiful. She has a lot of personality. She’s a Leo like me. She had a lot of potential– she probably still does at some point, but that kinda was like, ridiculous.”

Lucki Slams Live Nation During “The Gemini Tour” Concert

Lucki went off on Live Nation at multiple points during his The Gemini Tour concert in Indianapolis on Friday night. In doing so, he accused the company of treating him like a “robot” and underpaying him to perform. He explained that he didn’t want to be there that night, but did so for the kids in attendance.

“I’m not a f*cking robot. You can’t book people on shows back to back and you not really paying me tonight what the f*ck I wanna be paid. And the only reason I’m doing this sh*t is because Indiana is close to f*cking home. I swear to God. But I’m not a f*cking robot,” he said. “Literally, I’m rich as f*ck. I stay in the f*cking crib. I don’t got f*cking time for this. You want me to perform back to back, you need to pay me like I wanna be paid.”

From there, Lucki stopped the show one more time to call out Live Nation if they refused to pay him after his comments. “I’m only doing this sh*t for the f*cking kids,” he remarked. “I don’t give a f*ck. Luh Tyler Finally Delivers His Debut Album “Mr. Skii”

Luh Tyler’s star has been flickering for about the last year and a half. 2022 saw him drop one of his biggest tracks even to this day with “Law & Order pt. 2”. However, he really broke through last year with his debut mixtape My Vision. The teenage sensation from Florida would go on to include songs like “Back Flippin”, “Ransom”, which saw him develop his connection with Lil Uzi Vert, as well as with multiple other features. That project allowed Tyler to show off his gravelly and whispery flows to a broader audience. Now, Luh Tyler is carrying the momentum from that tape and multiple features to drop off Mr. Skii.

This is the long-awaited debut album, and it comes after a slew of singles. “First Show”, “Change My Wayz”, “Young N****”, and “2 Slippery” were first. Then, the night before its release, Tyler went onto to include “Stayed Down” and “7 AM in Munich” to that already large stack. Now, with a bigger budget and even more recognition, he’s working with bigger names from across Gator Country such as BossMan Dlow, Kodak Black, and BLP KOSHER. Tyler does ride some punchier and trappier beats on this project in comparison to the airier and minimal instrumentals he typically selects. London On Da Track’s BM Drags Him For Alleged Absence From Daughter’s Life

It’s no secret that London On Da Track and his ex, Eboni Ivori, haven’t always gotten along. The two of them share a child together named Paris, whose life he’s not very involved in, or so Eboni alleges. She’s called the artist out for this, among other things, on multiple occasions. He even sent her a cease-and-desist in 2022 over her accusations against Shenseea‘s seven-year-old son.

Most recently, Eboni took to her Instagram to share a series of photos that feature sad-looking children, none of which are hers. In her captions, she alleged that London hadn’t seen their daughter since December. “My lil girl waiting on her dad since last Christmas,” she wrote alongside a photo of a sad child. “Another pic of my lil girl waiting for her dad on her birthday last year,” she captioned another.

She went on, also alleging that Paris didn’t get to see her dad on Father’s Day. He’s yet to publicly address her accusations. It looks like Eboni isn’t the only one of London On Da Track’s exes who’s struggled to co-parent with him, however. Summer Walker jumped into The Shade Room‘s comments section to empathize with Eboni today, writing “Same [eyeroll emoji].” In the past, she’s also put him on blast for his alleged absence from their daughter’s life. In 2022, for example, she vented about the situation on her Instagram Story, though she deleted it shortly after.

“I literally have the worst bd on the face of the planet lol I can’t wait till I can just get some peace,” Walker wrote. “It’s okay tho I have the most perfect bundle of joy in the world. His argument garnered mixed results from his followers. One user replied: “We evaluate political figures based on their policies, actions, and track record, regardless of their race or gender. Holding our leaders accountable ensures that those in power genuinely advocate for the interests of the communities they represent.” Others agreed with the “Hypnotized” rapper. “Talk to em!!!” one user wrote.

Drake & Benny The Butcher’s “Buffalo Freestyle” Vanishes From Streaming Services

Earlier this week, Benny The Butcher fans were greeted by a welcome surprise, the Griselda rapper’s new EP Buffalo Butch, Vol. 1. The project boasts various high-profile features from the likes of Fabolous, 38 Spesh, and of course, Drake. Their long-awaited collab “Buffalo Freestyle” was a fan favorite, but sadly, it along with the rest of the EP was quickly removed from streaming services.

For obvious reasons, fans are disappointed, and wondering what happened. Reportedly, it disappeared from Spotify yesterday (August 23), and other streaming services followed shortly after. For now, it remains unclear exactly what prompted its removal, but as expected, social media users have some theories.

Two tracks from the EP, the ones that do not feature Drake, are still live on Benny’s YouTube channel. “Buffalo Freestyle” says it’s been removed due to a copyright claim by Universal Music Group. Benny The Butcher has yet to address the debacle. This is far from the first time there have been issues with the release of the song, however. Benny first announced that he recorded a track with Drake in 2020. In 2021, he shared that they traded songs to appear on each others’ projects, adding that it may not ever come out. He noted that he was frustrated by the situation, but didn’t blame Drake.

“I was pissed, I’m not gon’ lie.
