Druski & Joe Budden Share A Cringe-Worthy Chest Bump In New Commercial: Watch

Druski and Joe Budden are in somewhat different industries and really don’t have any history together. However, they are now connecting for a new commercial. According to a tweet from a user who goes by SOUND, the comedian and rapper turned podcaster are essentially brand ambassadors for PrizePicks. If you don’t know, it’s a daily fantasy sports app/website that allows people to place prop bets on professional and college athletes from numerous leagues. However, you aren’t competing against other players, just the stats. If you pick the correct over or under for an individual’s numbers, then you win money. In the 30-second commercial, both Budden and Druski are trying to decide who they want to place bets on.

Ultimately, they go on to make the correct picks –with help from Joe– and they celebrate by chest bumping each other at the party later on. It’s both funny and cringe-worthy in the best way possible. According to Vibe, newcomer to the brand, Joe Budden, expressed his excitement about working with PrizePicks moving forward. “PrizePicks is fun, fresh, simple to use, and most importantly for me, not afraid to take risks. Nothing about PrizePicks feels like the old guard being run by old rules, they’re truly a great organization that isn’t afraid to embrace creativity and that’s paramount to me”.

Who Had A Druski & Joe Budden Commercial On Their Bingo Card?

For Druski, he’s the “veteran”. He recently signed a partnership deal with the betting company which will include him putting together “social skits, an original short-form series for YouTube, and a co-branded line of exclusive merchandise”. “I’m fired up to work with PrizePicks, we’ve done some cool stuff over the years and I’m excited to keep it coming”, Druski said. YSL RICO Trial: Lil Woody Tries To Get Young Thug’s Lawyer To Say The N-Word

Lil Woody seemingly tried to bait Young Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steel, into saying the n-word while testifying during the YSL RICO trial on Tuesday. While Steel was reading a quote to Woody, he asked him for clarification on what he meant by “N.” Steel began to spell the word in an attempt to explain but stopped short of laying the entire spelling.

In response to the clip going viral on social media, fans have been having plenty of laughs. “Steel’s too honorable to even spell it [laughing emojis] hesitated on that second g, didn’t even get to the a,” one user remarked. Others joked they wouldn’t have a problem with Steel if he had fallen for it. “I’m gonna go on a limb and say Thug has given Brian a pass AND he’s invited to all the cook outs til the end of time,” one fan wrote. Another agreed: “The Day he took his tie and jacket off and asked if he could do his 20 days in a cell with his client, is the day I would have given him a pass.”

The viral moment is just one of many Woody has had during his time on the stand. Earlier this month, he caused a stir by admitting his previous comments on Thug from 2015 were entirely made up. “The police kept locking me up for whatever they could,” he said. “Every time I counted the door, the police was on me, and they keep bringing up Thug’s name. So what I did was to get ’em out off me, I said, ‘Thug did this. Thug did that. Thug,’ because I knew they were—I knew he didn’t do it.”

Victoria Monét joins Eddie Francis on Apple Music 1 to talk about her experience writing “SOS (Sex on Sight)” featuring Usher. They dive into the process of how this dream collaboration came to be and Victoria teases that more music from Usher is coming very soon.

The two also discuss Victoria’s very successful year, which included GRAMMYs, record-breaking success from her single “On My Mama,” and more. Victoria teases a deluxe version of JAGUAR II and a new era on the way.

When Francis asked Monet about the Usher collaboration, she mentioned another unreleased song that the two have together.

“It’s coming in the future. I don’t know when, but there’s another song,” Monet added. “So we were working together on that song. So he came by the studio to work more on that. And when he got there, I was working on SOS, but I just had the hook only. So he was like, “Let me hear what you’re working on.” I was like, “Okay.” Nervous. So I play it, and then after the hook goes off, he starts mumbling a melody. I was like, “Hmm.” And me and DJ Camper, the producer, looked at each other and we were like, “Do you want to just go in? Maybe just try some stuff?” So he goes in the booth and starts this rap part, and then he comes out and we write a few lyrics to that. And then he has to go, he’s like jet-setting somewhere else. And then he finishes his parts in Atlanta. We decide like… We were like, at one point, “Do we do both of these songs or do we have to choose one? What’s the protocol?” But it just felt so special and so organic so that we just were like, “Let’s rock with both.” Camper got his horn player on it. We just did final touches and everything, and here it is. So I’m excited.”

Phillip Leeds, a mainstay within the music and fashion industries compiles eights years of original photography in BIG SHOTS!! Volume 2. Over 500 color Polaroid pictures of household names are archived in this new edition, out today courtesy of Blurring Books, the Brooklyn-based publisher. 

Over the weekend, Phillip Leeds hosted the a BIG SHOTS!! launch party in Los Angeles in partnership with lifestyle brand Pleasures. The collaboration between Leeds & Pleasures was a continuation of events from earlier this year’s preview at Paris Fashion Week. The author brings BIG SHOTS!! to his hometown of New York City on September 11th with Awake NY. Other dates to be announced soon via @BigShotsBook. 

In 2017, Phillip Leeds released the critically-acclaimed & wildly popular book BIG SHOTS! (Rizzoli) Described at the time as capturing a generation of artists and celebrities just as Andy Warhol: Red Books defined a previous era. Shot by Phillip with a unique vintage Polaroid camera called The Big Shot, the book offered a visual who’s who from the worlds of art, music, fashion and popular culture from 2004 through 2016. Kanye West Took A $36 Million Loss On The Sale Of His Controversial Malibu ‘Bat Cave’

Kanye West is taking a massive loss on the sale of his Malibu home, according to Consequence and a press release from the buyer, Belwood Investments. The real estate equity buyer announced it is buying the house — which Kanye went to great lengths to turn into his own person “bat cave” — for around $21 million. That’s $32 million less than his initial asking price — which is another 4 million less than what he bought it for in 2021 (close to $60 million).

After gutting the property — which caused him to incur yet another lawsuit from the building’s former property manager over “unsafe work conditions” — Kanye let the building languish, which contributed to its drastically reduced sale price. Among the renovations he wanted to be made to the property were disconnecting it from city water and power and replacing the stairs with slides, all in an effort to turn it into “a bomb shelter from the 1910s.” According to the lawsuit from his former property manager, “He wants to have no doors, no windows, no fixtures, just concrete… [a place for Kanye to] hide from the Clintons in and the Kardashians in.”

After trying to sell the home in its current state for $53 million earlier this year, he dropped the price to $39 million, apparently unaware that the half-completed work made it worth way less than that.

Ludacris Went Viral For Drinking Potentially Dangerous Glacier Water In Alaska, So He Shared A Follow-Up Video

The National Park Service says, “Never drink water from a natural source that you haven’t purified, even if the water looks clean. Water in a stream, river or lake may look clean, but it can still be filled with bacteria, viruses, and parasites that can result in waterborne diseases. […] It is essential that you purify natural water.”

Ludacris does not seem to have heard that advice.

On August 23, he performed at the Alaska State Fairgrounds in Palmer, Alaska. While there, he decided to take in the local sights, and a video of him drinking glacier water went viral, with commenters expressing concern about Luda’s health. (A 2022 study showed that “hundreds of thousands of tons of bacteria are being released by melting glaciers.”)

So, in a follow-up video shared today (August 27), Usher decided to assure everybody that he’s doing just fine post-gulp. He says in the clip, “Yo, for everybody asking me how that glacier water really tasted… When I tell y’all I’m a water snob: It was the best-tasting water I’ve ever had in my life, and as I drank it, I felt like every cell in my human body was being hydrated and rejuvenated at the same damn time.”

Lauryn Hill’s Surprise Show At High School Reunion Grinds The Gears Of Fans

There seems to be a little bit of a divide in the Fugees camp and most of the blame is falling on Lauryn Hill. That’s at least what the iconic rapper and singer feels is the case, according to past quotes from her Instagram. “Some media outlet’s penchant for sensationalism and clickbait headlines have seemingly created a narrative that has affected ticket sales for the North American portion of the tour”. That’s what she feels led to her ultimately having to cancel the reunion tour in the states. Her making last minute changes to performances is nothing new, although past injuries have been a consistent sidelining factor. Still, it’s been a constant theme and fellow band mate Pras has taken notice of it as well.

In fact, he was even dissing Lauryn Hill on an unreleased song not too long ago. However, he claims it had nothing to do with her, the timing of it certainly would suggest otherwise. Pras also has been feeling the Fugees fans’ sadness and disappointment. “They are paying their hard-earned money to see you. We’re going on almost three decades of our existence, individually and as a group. To have people still interested in wanting to come see you, man, you have to be grateful”.

Lauryn Hill Gives Her Old High School A Night To Remember

If Pras wasn’t dissing Lauryn Hill on “Bar Mitzva”, he might be speaking out soon against her for real once he sees this video. According to a tweet from The Art Of Dialogue and an article from HipHopDX, Hill was recorded giving an impromptu show at her high school’s reunion. Specifically, the free medley show took place at Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey. She performed hits from her solo catalog and Fugees classics like “Ready or Not”, even altering the lyrics to show love to her alma mater. “CHS taking over / Buffalo soldier / Dreadlock Rasta“. Fans were quite upset about seeing this footage, as they are calling her out for performing at the wrong reunion. “She showed up a year late and sang to the wrong reunion”, one X user half jokes.

Popcaan Demands Kendrick Lamar’s Music Gets Shut Off In Viral Clip

Popcaan refused to listen to Kendrick Lamar when the rapper’s music came on during a recent interview with Link Up TV. In a clip of the moment circulating on social media, he appears to be in disbelief before demanding to know where the music is coming from. He eventually requests the song be turned off and reaffirms his allegiance to OVO.

In response to one of Drake’s fan pages posting the clip on X (formerly Twitter), fans had mixed responses. Many praised the Jamaican artist for sticking up for his OVO collaborator while others were more critical. One user wrote: “Drake stans don’t even know Popcaan is OVO, they’re on here saying things like ‘wow respect’ and ‘wow Drake has the streets’ because Drake completely erased him after taking his flow.” Another added: “N****s in the comments wanna act like they listen to Popcaan cause he signed to Drake.”

His defense of Drake comes after Popcaan recently discussed his relationship with the Toronto rapper, earlier this year. “By being around Drake and the whole connection, it gave me a lot of exposure,” he told GRAMMY.com while speaking with them over Zoom. “We have a chemistry where music is concerned and whatever we do, it’s always [about] just [doing] something great … It’s a very great link, and it’s very good for my culture as well.”
