Tory Lanez’ Damning Jail Phone Call Was Released And It’s Changing Some Fans’ Minds About The Outcome Of The Trial

Last week, Tory Lanez was convicted of assault, negligently discharging a firearm, and illegal possession of that firearm after being accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the feet in 2020. During the week-long trial, the jury heard from witnesses including Megan Thee Stallion herself and a local resident of the neighborhood in which the shooting occurred, as well as the recorded statement from Meg’s friend Kelsey Harris and a jail phone call from Lanez to Harris in which Tory appears to apologize for the shooting.

Now, after the trial concluded, some of that evidence has become public record after the audio from Tory’s jail call surfaced online. Although Tory’s defense tried to portray the call as the rapper apologizing for allegedly pitting the two friends against each other, the jury saw it as a damning admission of guilt. Along with Harris’ testimony, it was enough to convince them that he had pulled the trigger. While some observers had remained skeptical of the reporting of the trial by reputable outlets such as Rolling Stone and the Los Angeles Times, preferring to be informed by unlicensed gossip blogs, it appears that with this information becoming widely available, perceptions are beginning to shift on social media, where Megan Thee Stallion was dragged through the mud in attempts to discredit her on behalf of the accused.

The veracity of the audio recording has been confirmed by reporters who were present for the trial, including Law Crime News’ Meghann Cuniff, who has acquired the cheeky nickname “Meghann Thee Reporter” on Twitter for her work during the trial. Meanwhile, Tory Lanez awaits sentencing after being convicted; he faces up to 22 years in prison and deportation back to Canada.

Logic Shelled Out $100 To Winners Of Impromptu Rock, Paper, Scissors Matchups

In June, Logic spoke with Zane Lowe about the challenges of being a target for internet trolls. “I wanted to step away from the negativity,” he said, in part. “Not like I’m trying to hide from it and this and that, but just like, ‘Dude, I need a break.’” Logic’s online behavior is generally positive, such as his “Like A Playwright” freestyle posted to Instagram this week. Another antidote for internet negativity is spreading holiday cheer IRL, which Logic also did.

On Thursday, December 28, the multiplatinum rapper and best-selling author wandered the streets and offered strangers $100 if they won impromptu rock, paper, scissors matchups. One woman wished Logic a merry Christmas after winning her $100, to which Logic replied, “Happy Kwanzaa!” Another guy couldn’t believe Logic was serious. “Is it for real?” he asked.

Logic responded, “Yeah, yeah. You got it, man. Get out of here. Don’t spend it all on blow. That’s a joke. Could you imagine?”

Hours before that video, Logic also posted an Instagram clip of him bumping into someone named Archie and offering to buy him a Revolvr sweater for Christmas. After that purchase was completed, Logic took him to Lark to shop for crystal candles. Despite Logic’s generosity, Archie still named Future as his favorite rapper. “I love this kid,” Logic said, laughing.

Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black Toe” To Make A Comeback

Fans of the Air Jordan 1 High OG have been blessed with some amazing sneakers over the years. Among them is the “Black Toe” model which was one of the original colorways. Of course, this is a shoe that bears the aesthetics of the iconic Chicago Bulls.

Overall, there are plenty of other great Jordan 1 models out there. However, the “Black Toe” AJ1 remains one of those shoes that fans absolutely love. It is a model that has been retro’d in the past, although there are still plenty of fans who yearn for some new variations.

Another Air Jordan 1 High OG Reimagined

This past year, fans were blessed with the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Chicago Reimagined.” It was ultimately called Lost & Found because of the whole aging aesthetic. Many people liked this look, and recently, it was revealed that the Air Jordan 3 would receive such a shoe.

Subsequently, it is being reported by sneaker account jfgrails that the Jordan 1 High OG is getting yet another Reimagined model. This time, it will be the aforementioned “Black Toe.” This is the perfect colorway to do this for, especially with the “Royal” offering getting the same treatment in 2024.

Overall, sneakerheads are going to be eating well over the next two years. 2023 is already promising to be a huge year, and we don’t doubt that there is even more to be revealed. Hopefully, Jumpman continues to surprise us with their potential slate of releases.

At the time of writing this, the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black Toe Reimagined” does not have a release date. However, you can stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates. Additionally, let us know what you think about this potential release, in the comments below.

Lakers Reportedly Interested In Bradley Beal

If you are a Lakers fan, you know that this team needs some help right now. Sure, they have Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis. However, AD is always injured and it seems like LeBron has to carry every night. This is not sustainable, and if they want to make the playoffs, a trade has to be made.

Unfortunately, there are not a lot of players to trade for right now. Most of the best players in the league are cemented on their teams. Furthermore, no one is asking for trades right now. Even players like Bradley Beal in impossible situations don’t want out.

Lakers Like Beal

Despite Beal’s standing in Washington, it seems like the Lakers want to make some sort of deal happen. According to Marc Stein, teams around the NBA believe that the Lakers are currently stockpiling their assets. This is all in the event that Beal decides he wants to get out of Washington.

“Some rival teams believe that the Lakers want to try to keep their two most coveted trade assets in case a currently unforeseen shot to trade for a legitimate third star — like Washington’s Bradley Beal — materializes suddenly,” Stein explained.

Overall, this is a very unlikely outcome for the Lakers. They simply do not have the negotiating power to get anything done. Not to mention, Beal will likely want to stay in Washington.

Rae Sremmurd Drops Gritty Visual For ‘Torpedo’ As Another Teaser Of Their Upcoming Project ‘Sremm4Life’

Well, with just a few days left in the year, it looks like Rae Sremmurd’s long-awaited SREMM4LIFE project won’t hit streaming platforms until 2023. So far, the duo has released two singles from the album, “Denial” and “Community D*ck” featuring Flo Milli. To hold fans over until the project receives an official release date, brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi have dropped the video for their new single, “Torpedo.”

Co-produced by Sonny Digital and Austin Powerz, “Torpedo” is a complete departure from their past two singles. “Denial” was a melodic track about the rollercoaster of emotions that come with being in love, whereas “Community D*ck” was an attempt at the commercial rap sound with playful banter about the reckless sexual escapades of men. “Torpedo,” on the other hand, is explicitly made for the streets.

The video, co-directed by Matt Swinsky and Medet Shayakhmetov, quite literally showcases Rae Sremmurd and their posse enjoying what their native neighborhood has to offer — parking lot pimpin’, exotic car drag races, and hood highlife flexing, which is driven home as Swae Lee raps in the chorus, “Takin’ off to the money, torpedo / Now all the h*es tryna find me like Nemo / Pockets is tight as a speedo / Jet fuel makin’ me float / What exactly they mad at me for?”
