SZA Rocks A Wild Bug Prosthetic And Discusses Her ‘Toxic Relationship’ With Music On ‘Hot Ones’

The immediate headline from SZA’s Hot Ones episode that dropped today (September 26) is what’s going with (or “on,” more accurately) her face: She did the whole show in a facial prosthetic that makes her look like a bug.

SZA explained it at about 12 minutes into the episode, saying, “This one brings me so much peace of mind. It just… in the realm of, like, being a person is so daunting, and like being your own skin and […] just the freedom of… of yeah, for no other reason other than I’m just tired of being not a bug. It’s like, ‘What the f*ck?’ Wouldn’t you want to be a bug if you could be anything else?”

Meanwhile, starting at about six minutes into the video, SZA satisfied her curiosity about host Sean Evans. She asked about his relationship status and wondered why he’s not married, saying, “Do you feel like this is more exciting than any connection you have with the opposite sex?” With a smile, Evans explained how the show “meets me halfway all the time,” adding, “What I put into it, I get out of it.” He concluded by saying he has an “honest relationship” with Hot Ones.

SZA replied, “I f*ck with that. I wish I could say the same for music.” She continued, “It’s just not honest enough for me. I never know what’s happening. I be like, ‘I thought you liked this?’ And then they’re like, ‘No, stupid. We hate this! We want more of this,’ and it’s just so confusing. I’m just like, ‘What… does my boyfriend love me?’ It’s abusive, but it’s also very fulfilling and validating. I’m in a different type of relationship. You have a good thing.” She then agreed with Evans’ takeaway that SZA is in a “toxic relationship with music.”

Recently, SZA appeared on First We Feast’s Hot Ones, where she opened up about her career, personal life, and more. She did all this while dressed up as a bug, telling host Sean Evans that she’s “just tired of being not a bug.” During the interview, the songstress was asked which songs were the most emotional for her to perform, which prompted her to make some revelations about her love life.

“‘Nobody Gets Me’ because my ex-fiancé hates me so much, and it’s so unfortunate,” she explained. “Every time I sing it, it’s like, ‘Damn, what the f*ck?’” SZA continued, adding that “Normal Girl,” “20 Something,” and “Drew Barrymore” are also emotional, comparing the latter to the feeling of seeing “the boy you like … f*ckin’ on some other girl” at a party.

SZA Talks Dating On Hot Ones

Elsewhere in the interview, SZA was asked to give viewers an update on what’s been going on in her life. “I’m going through a breakup, it’s hot as f*ck,” she revealed. The Grammy winner didn’t share much more than that about the current state of her dating life, though she did compare her career to a toxic relationship. According to her, the music industry has been tough to navigate, as it can be so unpredictable. She recalled being annoyed by the success of her track “Kill Bill,” as she found it “super easy” to write. “I never know what’s happening,” she described. “I be like, ‘I thought you liked this.’ Then they’re like, ‘No, st*pid, we hate this.’”

Macklemore Passionately Doubles Down On His “F*** America” Statement

Over this past weekend, Macklemore performed in his hometown of Seattle, Washington for a benefit concert. The Palestine Will Live Forever Festival collected proceeds that will eventually go to Pious Projects, HEAL Palestine, United Nations Relief and Works Agency, and the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. If you have been keeping up with him lately, you know that he’s been extremely vocal about the Israel-Palestine conflict. After this he was scheduled to be the headliner at the first ever Neon City Festival, which is going to start in late November in Las Vegas. However, the event organizers have removed him from the roster, thanks to his bold statement at the first festival we mentioned. “F*** America”, he said to the Seattle faithful. It led to some applause at the site but was more controversial online.

Some sports franchises in Seattle have addressed it, with all of them stating how they are going to evaluate the situation. Since making that proclamation, Macklemore was silent. However, he’s recently broken his silence on it on Instagram, according to Billboard. He posted a lengthy and passionate series of paragraphs, essentially apologizing for not being too brash with his delivery. But in that same breath, he’s not too sorry for how he feels about how our country is handling the war in the Middle East. “My thoughts and feelings are not always expressed perfectly or politely. Sometimes I slip up and get caught in the moment. Saturday night was one of those times”, Macklemore starts off.

He goes on to voice how he’s been uncomfortable with the government’s stance, saying, “I have been in utter disbelief with how our government is showing up at this moment in history. Macklemore then ends off with, “I’ve slipped in front of the world before. I’m sure I’ll do it again. But they will not silence my voice, and they will not close my heart. Costco Claims They Don’t Sell Baby Oil After Diddy’s Lawyer’s Explanation

Diddy’s lawyer recently spoke to TMZ about the alleged hundreds of bottles of baby oil that authorities found in his Miami and Los Angeles homes during the March raids, and his answer was apparently not an air-tight excuse. “I can’t imagine it’s thousands,” Marc Agnifilo remarked, downplaying these quantities as irrelevant to supposedly normal sexual activity. “I’m not exactly sure what the baby oil has to do with anything… I don’t know what you need 1,000 for. One bottle of baby oil goes a long way. I don’t know what you need 1,000 for. He has a big house. He buys in bulk. I think they have Costcos in every place where he has a home. Have you sat in the parking lot of a Costco and seen what people walk out of there with?”

This resulted in some jokes online, many disturbed reactions, and a lot of ridicule due to Diddy’s lawyer’s statement. Well, things just got worse for them, as TMZ allegedly conversed with a spokesperson from Costco who reportedly claimed that not a single one of the company’s U.S. locations sells baby oil. For those unaware of the innuendo here, the federal indictment against Sean Combs on sex trafficking and racketeering charges insinuates that baby oil is another lube option, and that he had so many bottles because of his alleged “freak-off” parties of days-long sexual exploitation.

Diddy’s Lawyer Addresses Baby Oil

Elsewhere, other legal developments for Diddy include staunch denials of the allegations against him and his former bodyguard in a new sexual assault lawsuit. “I know for a fact that this is a money grab,” his associate reportedly told the Daily Mail. “I’ve never seen this lady. Don’t have any tape of her like she says I have. I’ve never seen her, I never did anything with her. I don’t know, none of this. I don’t even know this lady.”

Meanwhile, Diddy decided whether or not he will testify in his court case… Or at least, that’s what his lawyer indicated. His testimony could go a million different ways, and so could the trial as a whole. Still, it’s far too early to speculate much on it, especially as so much of the case remains a mystery.

Earlier this week, Toronto rapper Top5 beat a murder case and was set free following his 2021 arrest. He had been in custody for his alleged role in the shooting of Hashim Omar Hashi. At his most recent hearing, a judge dismissed social media evidence, ruling it inadmissible. “An innocent man just came home,” Top5 told reporters outside of the courthouse. “I hope they find whoever they did that. R.I.P.”

Shortly after his release, Top5 took to Instagram to celebrate, thanking those who helped him along the way. Apparently, this even included fellow Toronto artist Drake, who he alleged covered his legal fees. This is unconfirmed, and the post was later edited to remove any mention of Drizzy.

Top5 Shows Off His New Bling Following Release

Now, it looks like Top5 is making the most of his newfound freedom. In a new clip shared by 2Cool2Bl0g, he’s seen showing off his three new luxury watches alongside New York City-based celebrity jeweler, Benny The Jeweler. It’s unclear exactly how much the high-end pieces cost altogether, but it’s safe to say it wasn’t cheap. Obviously, Top5 hasn’t wasted any time getting back to his normal life. While many can’t blame him, some are still skeptical about how he’s chosen to operate since his release.

Recently, for example, he sat down with DJ Akademiks and Adin Ross for a controversial interview after getting out of jail. During it, he appeared willing to fight Kendrick Lamar and Metro Boomin. “It’s not a threat, I’m just looking for Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar,” he said at the time. “I’m doing my homework on them right now, doing my tasks on them right now. Aubrey O’Day is still making her disdain for Diddy very clear amid his federal indictment and various lawsuits of misconduct against him. Moreover, she’s choosing to further open up about her experiences as part of Danity Kane and the show Making The Band. According to the Daily Mail, the singer and TV personality appeared on Renee Graziano’s “Crysis Queen” podcast and claimed that the Bad Boy mogul “groomed” her. However, it’s important to note that her explanation refers more literally to the physical act of grooming someone to look a certain way, not sexual grooming to normalize sexual abuse.

“With Diddy, I saw multiple real things, sides of him,” Aubrey O’Day reportedly shared on the podcast. “I don’t know who I was even talking to, who was sober… There was always an element of something going on. He’s on camera saying how much he hates it. Then he’s off camera telling me all the ways that I needed to be groomed properly. Like, down to my toenails. I was sent out of a studio session one time because my toes weren’t polished properly.

Overall, this latest war of words between Offset and Cardi B is not a good look. Both of them are going out of their way to publicly expose some sensitive information about one another. It’s horrible to see a mother and father bashing each other so ruthlessly, and it makes you wonder the kind of home that their kids are growing up in. They are co-parenting, but still, it’s something that should be talked about.

Things started off last night with Cardi B calling Offset needy and provided evidence of said claim with some NSFW texts from him. He’s been returning the favor by saying that she was having sex with other men during her pregnancy. There’s also been some threats of going to court and settling things from both sides. Cardi claims to have been talking to other guys since June 24, about a month and a half before the divorce reports. This set him off (no pun intended) on a rapid-fire series of responses which were attempts to further expose this allegation from her. Eric Adams’ Official Indictment Charges Have Been Revealed

The official charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams were revealed by a U.S. Attorney’s Office on Thursday (September 26), according to NBC News and various other reports. The charges in the 57-page indictment are the following per correspondent Tom Winter: conspiracy to commit wire fraud, federal program bribery, and to receive campaign contributions by foreign nationals; wire fraud; two counts of solicitation of a contribution by a foreign national; and bribery. Furthermore, these campaign finance, bribery, and conspiracy charges accuses Adams of colluding with the Turkish government for funds in exchange for favorable treatment.

Not only that, but Eric Adams also faces accusations of using a city program to match smaller donations by up to eight times their original worth. Prosecutors claim he put large donations through various individuals in diminished amounts in order to rake in millions for his campaign. In addition, they accused Adams of accepting travel benefits from a government official in Turkey without disclosing this to his constituents. Many in the hip-hop world and beyond have reacted to this news, with 50 Cent expressing shock but also skepticism about this historic moment in NYC mayoral history.

Eric Adams’ Charges + Press Conference

“I will fight these injustices with every ounce of my strength and my spirit,” Eric Adams responded to the indictment in a public Wednesday address (September 25). “I am innocent. Now, if I am charged, many may say I should resign because I cannot manage the city while fighting the case. I can also understand how everyday New Yorkers would be concerned that I cannot do my job while I face accusations, but I have been facing these lies for months […] Yet the city has continued to improve. Make no mistake, you elected me to lead this city and lead it I will.”

The Mayor’s First Response

Before this, Eric Adams’ last public moment of goodwill with the hip-hop community was when he handed the Key to the City to Fat Joe. “Shout-out my wife, my daughter, shout-out my favorite aunt in the world,” the rapper shared. “I gotta thank the pioneers.
