HRSMN Return With Apocalyptic New Album “The Last Ride”

It was long believed that the four HRSMN, represented by Kurupt (Famine), Ras Kass (Pestilence), Canibus (War), and Killah Priest (Death), had gone dormant. Yet after twenty years of speculation, the lyrically charged supergroup has returned to deliver their long-awaited — and presumably final — album The Last Ride.

Clocking in at fourteen tracks and featuring guest appearances from Planet Asia, Chino XL, Blakkamore, RBX, and more, the project is a welcome showcase from four emcees who have long honed their bars. As expected, Ras Kass, Kurupt, Canibus, and Killah Priest are in devastating form, taking to a surprisingly varied repertoire of production, including a more contemporary sound on “One Second” and a cinematic dose of scholarly boom-bap on “Centaurs.”

The maniacal “Impossible” is made all the zanier through a potent dose from RBX, while the penultimate “Burger King” finds Ras Kass trading bars with Phil Da Agony and El Grant. On an appropriate note, the closing track “Last Ride” captures a spooky western vibe that serves as a fitting end to the voyage. If you’ve ever been interested in hearing a project from the HRSMN, be sure to show support to the project right now, and be sure to sound off with your favorite tracks, standout members, and hardest bars in the comments below.

Quality Control’s Metro Marrs Releases Debut Mixtape “Popular Loner”

Quality Control rapper Metro Marrs has so many resources at his disposal– which is the main reason why it’s so special that he decided to release his debut mixtape without any of his famous friends featured. The teenager has a close friendship with his labelmates in the Migos, but he chose to prove his own ground on his debut project Popular Loner, which is officially out now.

Weeks after going viral by throwing $10,000 into the crowd at his high school graduation (and getting arrested for the stunt), Metro Marrs went a more official route by launching the Loners Rainy Day Scholarship in conjunction with his first full-length release. Handing $10,000 to his graduating class Valedictorian and Salutatorian, Metro Marrs continues to give back as he proves himself as one of the brightest young stars of tomorrow.

Listen to the 18-year-old rapper’s new mixtape Popular Loner below.

John Stockton Roasted Online After Appearing In Anti-Vaxx Documentary

John Stockton is the all-time NBA leader in assists and his record will probably never be broken. As a member of the Utah Jazz, Stockton went to two-straight NBA Finals although he never ended up winning a ring. His career led to his induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame, and to this day, he is highly regarded as a legend by Jazz fans.

Yesterday, however, Stockton’s favorability amongst fans dropped significantly after it was revealed that he would be appearing in a documentary that underplays the seriousness of COVID-19. In fact, a clip from the trailer shows Stockton talking about the vaccine and how he doesn’t believe in it.

“This isn’t a virus cheating us of this opportunity,” Stockton said. “It’s the guys making decisions saying, ‘No, no we’re too scared. We’re going to shut everything down. Sit in your house and be careful.’ My kids and my grandkids hearing these things and accepting them as truth when I know by my significant amount of research that it isn’t, it’s very frustrating.”

Immediately following the virality of this clip, fans took to Twitter to mock Stockton and his views. They also made sure to throw in some digs about the Jazz and their NBA Finals failures that came at the hands of Michael Jordan. It was pretty brutal, although when it comes to COVID-19, we’re sure the backlash didn’t sway his views in any way shape, or form.

Queen Naija Covers Drake’s “Marvins Room” For Amazon Music

In addition to her newly released “Bed Friend” single with Jacquees, Queen Naija has more new music in store for her fans this week. Today, the R&B sensation has also shared her Amazon Original cover of “Marvins Room,” which is available exclusively on Amazon Music.

Rather than a straight-up cover of Drake’s classic 2011 song, however, the missunderstood artist decided to put her own spin on the timeless record by adding her own lyrics to the song’s original melody.

“This cover of Drake’s ‘Marvins Room’ was dope to do because it was kind of a throwback to the early 2010s,” Queen Naija says, “and I love bringing the nostalgic feels. I wanted to do it from a female perspective – hope you guys enjoy it!”

How do you think Queen Naija’s rendition of “Marvins Room” stacks up against Drake’s original version?

Quotable Lyrics

I think you addicted to gettin’ women, break ’em until they finished
Lyin’ in the beginnin’, like you ain’t scared of commitment
Until you wake up and decide you don’t want somethin’ that you’re used to
You got me searchin’ all around like f*ckin’ Blues Clues.

James Harden Has Had Enough Of Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the NBA although there is one area where he truly needs to improve on. Of course, we are talking about free-throw shooting, as he is constantly bricking shots that are supposed to be an easy point. Throughout the course of the playoffs, Giannis has received delay of game violations for taking way too long to shoot his free throws. His routine prior to taking each shot is ridiculously long and players are starting to get fed up.

The best example of this was last night as the Bucks and the Nets faced off in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. At one point in the first quarter, Giannis was taking practice shots without the ball, and it continued to delay the process. Eventually, Nets star James Harden shouted at Giannis and threw his hands up in the air in exasperation. Needless to say, Harden and his teammates were fed up with the antics.

Luckily for Giannis, things turned out just fine for him and his team as they were able to tie the series at 3-3. Now, they will play a deciding Game 7 in Brooklyn and it remains to be seen whether or not Giannis and the Bucks have what it takes to knock off the favorites to win it all. With Kyrie out of the lineup, the Bucks definitely have a chance.

As for Giannis and his free throw routine, it doesn’t appear as though he has any intention of changing up his style. This might be good for him, but it’s certainly not good for our sanity.

Trump Admits He Didn’t Win 2020 Election

Donald Trump is finally catching up to what we all knew many months ago– the fact that he didn’t win the 2020 Presidential Election.

President Joe Biden has been in office since the beginning of this year, recently signing an order for Juneteenth to be celebrated as a federal holiday. He’s been working to undo the damage that Trump did to the United States during his four-year reign of terror and it looks like he’s officially ready to admit defeat in the 2020 election.

For months, Trump has tried to argue that, because of voter fraud and many other falsities, he was the rightful winner of the election. However, after plenty of re-counts and fact checks, it was determined that Biden won fair and square. Still, Trump has had trouble accepting the fact that he lost, telling countless journalists that he’ll find a way back into the White House. There are disturbing conspiracy theories about him potentially coming back into power this year, which are being pushed by his QAnon supporters, but during a recent interview with Fox News, Trump finally admitted that he wasn’t the winner of the election.

“We got ’em by surprise in ’16 and in ’20 we did much better than we did in ’16,” said Trump during a phone call. “Shockingly, we were supposed to win easily at 64 million votes and we got 75 million votes and we didn’t win but let’s see what happens on that.”

Nah, we’ve already seen what happened. You lost. It’s over.

D12 Spit Bars On Crazy “Freestyle” From “Devil’s Night” Re-Release

Today marks the release of the Devil’s Night (Expanded Edition), an updated version of D12’s 2001 cult-classic debut. In addition to a few acapella tracks, instrumentals, and deep cuts, the project also includes a “Freestyle” that many fans will likely recognize. Previously titled “Whether Or Not,” the bar-heavy track from Kon Artis, Bizarre, Eminem, Big Proof, Swifty, and Kuniva has received a new instrumental makeover in its streaming debut.

A nostalgic glimpse at a bygone era, the track finds all six Detroit emcees in pure cypher mode, with Eminem’s verse serving as a reminder of why his reputation stands to this day. “You think just because I got caught by these cops once, I’m not gonna carry shotguns to blow your wigs back like hamburgers without any top buns?” he spits. “So many damn murders I can’t even count one.” Following Em is the late Proof, and while he doesn’t quite offer as lengthy a verse as Slim, his presence is always a welcome addition

Be sure to check out “Freestyle” now, previously known as “Whether Or Not.” If you’re feeling nostalgic for more D12, revisit the Devil’s Night (Expanded Edition) right here.

QUOTABLE LYRICS

I’m a wildebeest, and I’ve concealed a piece even after I was busted by Warren Police
You think just because I got caught by these cops once
I’m not gonna carry shotguns to blow your wigs back like hamburgers without any top buns
So many damn murders I can’t even count one
Two black guns, I don’t know maybe they’re Magnums
I don’t know what the fuck they’re called, I just grab them

Drake & Michael B. Jordan Show Out At Bronny James Jr. Game

Just last weekend, Drake, JR Smith, Jared Dudley, and LeBron James were all seen at Bronny James Jr.’s high school basketball game for Sierra Canyon. Bronny’s team ended up losing their game although it certainly wasn’t the end of their season. Over the last week, they have been participating in their regional playoffs and on Thursday night, they got to play in the semi-finals where they would have a chance at going to yet another Finals game.

While the team ended up losing yet again, they found themselves with some famous people in attendance. Once again, Drake was at the match and he was accompanied by none other than Michael B. Jordan. The two were courtside and if you remember, they were also at a Lakers game just a few weeks ago, when LeBron took on the Golden State Warriors in the play-in round.

Unfortunately, it seems as though Drake is a bit of a bad luck charm for Sierra Canyon as they always seem to lose when he’s in attendance. He brings a ton of energy to the crowd, although it hasn’t exactly translated into any big wins.

Either way, Jordan and Drake seemingly had a great time at the game, and we’re sure the Sierra Canyon players were appreciative of the strong showing of support.
