Beyonce Leaves People’s Choice Country Awards Empty-Handed Despite 17 Nominations

Despite the tremendous success of her latest album Cowboy Carter, Beyonce has walked away from yet another country music awards ceremony empty-handed. The “Texas Hold ‘Em” performer was nominated for an impressive 17 People’s Choice Country Awards this year. Sadly, she lost in all categories, including People’s Artist, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Female Artist, and more.

Of course, Bey’s fanbase believes she’s been snubbed, as she was only recognized briefly thanks to Shaboozey. He won Best New Artist and gave her a quick shoutout at the end of his acceptance speech. “Thank you Beyonce, you’re amazing,” he concluded before making his exit.

Shaboozey Gives Beyonce A Shoutout At People’s Choice Country Awards

This isn’t the only time the hive has been outraged about their queen’s country album getting overlooked, however. She wasn’t nominated for a single Country Music Award either, which sparked a great deal of backlash. Dolly Parton even chimes in on the snub during her interview with Variety this month, providing her best guess as to why Beyonce wasn’t given the recognition her supporters believe she deserves.

“There’s so many wonderful country artists that, I guess probably the country music field, they probably thought, well, we can’t really leave out some of the ones that spend their whole life doing that,” she told the outlet before praising both Beyonce and her album Cowboy Carter. “I don’t think it was a matter of shutting out, like doing that on purpose. I think it was just more of what the country charts and the country artists were doing, that do that all the time, not just a specialty album.” What do you think of Beyonce leaving yet another country music awards show without an award? Are you surprised? Do you think she was snubbed or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Uncle Luke Claims Diddy Was “Consumed” By Drugs

The Diddy scandal is so massive that celebrities are checking each other’s commentary on the matter, which causes its own set of debates. A recent example of this back-and-forth discussion came thanks to The Stephen A. Smith Show, where the sports commentator invited Uncle Luke to speak virtually for his latest episode. They discussed whether or not Suge Knight is accurate in his assessments of Sean Combs given how long he’s been in jail and the historic rift between them. During his evaluation of Suge’s perspective, Luke made a heavy claim about the Bad Boy mogul based on alleged information from his close circle.

“Let me tell you like this,” Uncle Luke’s remarks began about Diddy and Suge Knight. “[Suge is] still connected to the outside world. You know, in some shape, form, or fashion. You know, [there are] guys [that aren’t] supposed to have their telephones in jail, but they do have their telephone in jail. But then they get their one or two, you know, calls, and they get it done. So, those guys are still connected.

Uncle Luke Speaks On Diddy & Suge Knight On The Stephen A. Smith Show

“But I listened to the interview just like you did,” Uncle Luke went on. “And I listened to certain things. When he’s talking about drugs and the industry drugging Diddy. Again, a lot of my friends who know him real closely, you know, they say that he got consumed with the drugs. And so, when you hear certain things like that from a guy that’s incarcerated, that means that he’s really, really in touch to the situation. You feel me? And so, at the end of the day, you know, and a lot of other things that Suge said… I mean, the industry don’t change.

“If you don’t control the industry, the industry will control you,” Uncle Luke concluded about the Diddy situation. “If you don’t humble yourself, if you let it go to your head, then it will get you. It will eat you up. It will consume you. When you think you’re too big when you can go and file a lawsuit against Diageo, the largest liquor brand. Exactly! When you feel like you can go after these types of conglomerates, something got to your head! Something really got to your head. Drugs or something or the liquor. Something really got to your head when you think you that big where you can take on that giant.”

Devin Haney Sues Ryan Garcia For Alleged Fraud & Battery Over April Fight

These two boxers have made their disdain for each other crystal clear. The latest update in the Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia rivalry is the former’s new lawsuit against the latter for alleged battery and fraud on the journey to – and during – their April match at Barclays Center, per TMZ Sports. Haney allegedly filed the suit in New York on Friday (September 27). For those unaware, Garcia initially won that bout after multiple knockdowns, but officials called it a no-contest after they found evidence that Garcia used performance-enhancing drugs for it. Therefore, Haney says that he would not have agreed to the fight if he knew of these enhancements, and thus feels defrauded.

In addition, Devin Haney posited that Ryan Garcia’s ingestion of the drug despite his agreement to fight clean led to Garcia making various misrepresentations. The nature of these is unclear, although Haney said that they would’ve caused him to call the fight quits. But Garcia isn’t the only defendant in this situation. Haney also sued Golden Boy Promotions for alleged breach of contract. Haney seeks unspecified damages for how the situation inflicted “physical injury, reputational damage which will amount to millions of dollars, and emotional and mental distress.”

As of writing this article, it seems like neither Ryan Garcia nor Devin Haney have publicly addressed this lawsuit or the claims within. Elsewhere, though, they have plenty of other matters to jab each other over. For example, Garcia recently called the Diddy scandal a “very serious matter” despite how he trolled Haney for his alleged connection to the Bad Boy executive. As far as a response from Haney, this new lawsuit certainly answered that question.

However, there’s a chance that Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney could settle this the old-fashioned way: with another clean, sanctioned, exciting boxing match. The latter’s promoter wants to make it happen, or at least, that was the plan prior to Garcia’s expulsion from the World Boxing Council for a recent racist rant. As such, the future is uncertain when it comes to a potential round two. We’ll see what the next clash looks like…

DaBaby Reaches Settlement In Sucker Punch Lawsuit

DaBaby can finally put his 2020 scuffle to rest, as he officially settled a lawsuit against him according to court documents reportedly obtained by TMZ on Friday (September 27). For those unaware, homeowner Gary Pagar sued him due to a 2020 incident at a music video shoot at Pagar’s house for the Stunna 4 Vegas track “Play You Lay.” What happened was that the rapper allegedly “sucker-punched” Pagar after he complained about music video shoot regulations, eventually bringing about this civil case. Both parties reached a global settlement on all claims and asked the courts to remove future conference dates in order to sign the settlement into existence.

What’s more is that DaBaby has a pretty good excuse to celebrate this settlement, as he just dropped his first project in two years. HOW TF IS THIS A MIXTAPE? is a pretty ambitious question for a record of this nature, and as you’d expect, it’s filled with his typical style and some more fiery verses. We wonder whether the Charlotte MC has more plans for 2024 as far as career moves or extracurriculars. After all, he’s in a place where he can pretty much do as he pleases.

Elsewhere, DaBaby is making headlines for his brash, prompt, and savage reactions to the whole Diddy scandal. Specifically, he pulled a master troll move for one of his upcoming music videos, which is ironic considering the lawsuit that he just settled. Nevertheless, Baby bought a whole bunch of baby oil for the visual, referencing the alleged hundreds of bottles of the substance that federal officials found while raiding Sean Combs’ Miami and Los Angeles properties. He still hasn’t lost that provocative and jester-like tone, has he?

Meanwhile, DaBaby continues to be confrontational in his music, not just in his social media antics or extracurricular antics. He seemingly launched a diss track against his ex DaniLeigh’s brother over the relative’s lawsuit against him. Maybe 2025 will hold less of these courtroom developments in the 32-year-old’s life and career. But one thing’s for sure: he will respond scathingly whether it’s a trial motion or an Internet jab.

Summrs Drops Energetic “You Mind?” Ahead Of New Album

Summrs is an emerging rapper and singer from Lafayette, Louisiana. He debuted in 2017 as part of the boom in SoundCloud’s underground rap scene, but he did not ascend as quickly as some of his contemporaries. He did, however, emerge as a key figure in the “plugg” subgenre, a style of music that blends ethereal, often spacey beats with melodic flows and lyrics that range from introspective to bashful. That style eventually spun off into rage music, which is the sound that Playboi Carti and many of the rappers signed to his Opium label are currently at the forefront of creating.

Summrs continues to release music prolifically despite not quite catching on in the same way that other SoundCloud success stories did (which is not to say that he’s done poorly, as he still has over a million monthly listeners on Spotify), coming out with the prequel project B4DARAVEN in April, his tenth overall. Following this, he released the single “You Mind?” on September 26. The new track is a teaser for his upcoming fifth studio album, TALE OF DA RAVEN, which is set for a 2024 release. It’s a trademark Summrs release, with production that fans may closely associate with someone like Destroy Lonely. Summrs himself takes inspiration from NBA Youngboy, Chief Keef, and others. The Youngboy influence is particularly noticeable on this track, delivering his braggodocious verse similarly emphatically to many Youngboy verses. It’s a quick, energetic track that’ll sound good in a party setting. Check it out.

Wack 100 Accuses Drake Of Sending Kendrick Lamar Cease And Desist Over Super Bowl Performance

Earlier this month, Kendrick Lamar announced that he’ll be headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans in February. Many consider this to be the cherry on top of an already massively successful few months for the Compton rapper. He went head to head with Drake in a viral lyrical battle, and ultimately came out on top with tracks like “Euphoria” and of course, “Not Like Us.”

According to Wack 100, however, he may not actually get the opportunity to perform the smash hit at the event. On Clubhouse recently, he even alleged that Drake sent Kendrick a cease and desist in order to prevent it. At this point, this claim is completely unconfirmed, though anyone could understand why he may not want him to perform the song.

Wack 100 Discusses Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

Famously, Kendrick accuses Drake and his OVO crew of being pedophiles on it. This is probably not an allegation Drake wants to be thrown around more than it already has been amid the feud, and might explain the alleged cease and desist. It’s not the first time someone has theorized that Drake’s already taken legal action over the upcoming performance either. Earlier this month, Charlamagne Tha God shared a similar theory. His suspicion, however, is that Drake allegedly took legal action only to prevent Kendrick from accusing him of being a pedophile onstage.

“If he does ‘Not Like Us’ at the Super Bowl, I want the opening cords and then just the hook,” he said at the time. “If you think that the NFL and Roc Nation and a bunch of other people didn’t get a whole bunch of legal letters yesterday from people with owls as their stamp. I promise you, you’re not calling me a pedophile at the Super Bowl. I guarantee you, the OVO people sent so many legal letters yesterday.” What do you think of Wack 100 accusing Drake of sending Kendrick Lamar a cease and desist to prevent him from performing “Not Like Us” during the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February?
