It’s the boots for me! The Queen of Hip Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige kicked off her Good Morning Gorgeous tour with special guest Ella Mai and Queen Naija on Saturday, September 17.

 MJB rocked her most notable classics, (“Real Love,” “Family Affair,” “Everything,” “Be Happy,”) and new smashes (“Good Morning Gorgeous,” “U+Me,” “Rent Money,” “Amazing,”) to a sold out crowd in Greensboro, North Carolina. 

Blige, 51, is set to visit over 20 cities ending on Saturday, October 29 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. 

The iconic singer brought the heat onstage and gave fans an epic and emotional night to remember.

FDA Advises TikTok Users Not To Try Viral NyQuil Chicken Recipe

The FDA is warning TikTok users not to try a bizarre recipe that has gone viral. TikTok is known for trending challenges and pranks, however the latest recipe trend is seemingly absurd but not enough for the FDA to stay quiet. The feds say NyQuil-marinated chicken, or the ‘Sleepy Chicken Challenge’ as it’s called, is dangerous and potentially deadly. 

The FDA says cooking the medicine makes it more powerful and can change its properties.  They add that inhaling the vapors during the cooking process can cause lung damage. 

According to Yahoo Life, the trend is actually a joke but videos of the meal are circulating on social media, and people are concerned children will be vulnerable to influence.

 In addition, the TikTok recipe calls for an amount of NyQuil that’s much larger than the recommended adult dose. 

In 2021 the ‘Milk Crate Challenge’, where people used milk crates to stack in a pyramid and then attempt to climb up them like stairs went viral. Tik Tok banned the challenge after numerous participants were seen crashing down with injuries from their failed attempts.

Rihanna, A$AP Rocky Spotted Together At Recording Studio Sparks New Music Rumors

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have been seen hitting the recording studio recently.  The couple has been spotted several times at a Los Angeles studio in the past few weeks, adding to the rumors that Rihanna may release a new album. It’s been six years since Rihanna dropped her last album ANTI.

 The Grammy-winning singer gave birth to her and Rocky’s son back in May, and fans have shared their surprise and excitement that she could already be making music again.

Meanwhile, Rocky is facing felony firearms charges and a civil suit, which he and his lawyer call an extortion attempt from a former member of ASAP Rocky’s crew.

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle “Uninvited” to State Reception at Buckingham Palace

 Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were reportedly “uninvited” to a state reception hosted by King Charles on Sunday.  The Duke and Duchess received an invitation to the event earlier this week, but palace officials say the reception is for working royals only.  

The confusion over whether Harry and Meghan will attend the receptions follows mixed messaging over the Prince’s right to wear a military uniform during funeral events.

Meanwhile, crowds of mourners continued to line up to view her coffin in Westminster Abbey, some waiting up to 14 hours to pay their respects.  

Great Britain also observed a national minute of silence for The Queen.  A muted Big Ben rang its bells at 8 p.m. to mark the start of a national moment of reflection.

Popular Miami Doctor Banned From Performing BBL Surgeries After Patient Dies

A popular Miami doctor has been banned from performing Brazilian butt lift surgeries after a patient died on the operating table the same day.

According to the Miami Herald, 33-year-old patient died after the Instagram-famous Dr. John Sampson performed BBL surgery on June 16, 2021.

According to an autopsy report obtained by the Herald, Sampson punctured the woman’s liver and intestines during the procedure.

The Florida Board of Medicine banned Sampson from performing the BBL procedure again. He was also fined $20,000 and $5,626 for the board’s investigation and prosecution costs.

Sampson was ordered to study five hours of continuing education in medical records keeping, a one-hour lecture on liposuction and gluteal fat grafting surgeries, and he can’t be the head physician at any private or public medical office or surgery center.

ICYMI: Cardi B Returns To Bronx Middle School Donates $100K for Arts Program

Cardi B returned to her old middle school in the Bronx on Tuesday to cheers from students. The Grammy award-winning raptress talked to her alma mater about her experience in the public school system and the importance of an education. 

While visiting I.S. 232 in the Bronx the “Up” creator also announced a donation of $100,000. 

The money will go towards implementing activities like dance programs, tutoring, music and more. 

After surprising the students and faculty, Cardi B answered questions and took photos with the excited middle schoolers.

The school, which has more than 300 students, said “We are thrilled to welcome Cardi B back home to I.S. 232 in the Bronx, and we are so grateful for her generous contribution to her alma mater.” 

“Cardi B’s commitment of $100,000 for the arts will help the school’s kids soar to their highest heights. Thank you, Cardi,” continued, New York City Schools Chancellor David Banks.

[WATCH] First Look Teaser of ‘The Little Mermaid’ Starring Halle Bailey

Disney Pictures has released its first look at the live-action The Little Mermaid.  A teaser trailer for the remake was unveiled at Disney’s D23 Expo on Friday. 

It featured beautiful underwater shots of Halle Bailey starring as Ariel, singing some of the iconic song, ”Part of Your World.”  

Bailey said Friday was the first time she had seen footage of the film.

“Being a little girl swimming in the pool, imagining I was a mermaid, I never imagined that would come to life, she gushed on stage. “The three days filming “Part of Your World” was the most beautiful experience of my life.” Bailey continued, “..Feeling all the feelings she feels, her passion, discomfort, and everything she’s experiencing. It was so exciting for me to play those emotions and to have Rob directing me and being such a moving force on this film was really an honor.”

Director Rob Marshall said it was important they honored the original film while still reimagining other parts to bring more depth to the story, which includes the musical numbers.  

Alan Menken, who worked on the original Little Mermaid soundtrack, is teaming up with Lin-Manuel Miranda to create four new songs for the movie as well.

[WATCH] Tasha K Responds To Cardi B In A Scathing Instagram Live

YouTube vlogger Tasha K insists she will not pay rapper Cardi B any of the $1.25 million she was ordered to pay until she has exhausted all appeals process. The two have been going back and forth on social media because Cardi B is still waiting for Tasha K to pay up after winning a $1.25 million defamation lawsuit against the blogger earlier this year.  

Tasha K was found guilty and ordered to pay the rapper $4 million in damages to after the jury found her liable for defamation, false light invasion of privacy, and intention of emotional distress.

Cardi hopped in the comments section of a post on the Neighbourhood Talk of a screenshot of the NYC rapper liking a tweet about lawsuits. The tweet said suing people was only a problem with Cardi doing it.  

“I don’t care what y’all say,” Cardi wrote in response. “Cause I bet the same people commenting were the same ones calling me weak, sensitive, and saying I needed tougher skin when a woman lied on my health, father, my mother, and harassed all my friends and family …THIS is what I was fighting for while others laughed.” 

In response to Cardi, Tasha released a scathing live on Instagram directed to Cardi.

Nicki Minaj Denies Threatening Blogger’s Life Over “Cokehead” Accusations

Nicki Minaj is Looking for Artists to Sign to her Record Label

Nicki Minaj is denying threatening a social media commentator’s life over claims she made about the mega star.  On Wednesday, The Neighborhood Talk posted an Instagram picture referencing the defamation lawsuit Nicki Minaj filed against Marley Green. 

 Green responded saying “Nicki doxxed me and is sending people to threaten my life. Maybe get the full story @neighborhoodtalk before posting?”

Minaj responded by saying it was another false allegation about her and she would be suing her for more money now.  Minaj initially filed a defamation lawsuit after Green called her a “cokehead” and made disgusting comments about her child and being a rapist.
