Quinta Brunson Creator of ‘Abbott Elementary’ Shuts Down Followers Asking For School Shooting Episode

Quintin Brunson went to social last week shortly after the school shooting tragedy in Uvalde, Texas and made it very clear to fans of ‘Abbot Elementary’, a fictional Philadelphia elementary school and the show she created and stars in, that there will not be an episode now and in the near future about school shootings  “I want people to understand the flaw in asking for something like this.” She stated. After the May 24th Shooting that killed 19 students and two teachers, Brunson said she was inundated with messages asking to incorporate a school shooting into “Abbott Elementary’ episodes after she Tweeted her thoughts on the school shootings saying “Sick to my stomach tonight over the love affair America has with guns. I read about gun violence often.  My city and family have been affected by it.  Gun violence is a constant, day after day problem.  Mass shootings are only part of it.  If you vote, demand more from the people you elected to change laws.” According to Brunson, multiple fans then asked for a school shooting episode of the show. She then went back to twitter stating “Wild how many people have asked for a school shooting episode of the show I write.  People are that deeply removed from demanding more from the politicians they’ve elected and are instead demanding ‘entertainment.’ I can’t ask ‘are y’all ok’  anymore because the answer is ‘no’,” wrote Brusnson on twitter,   She also shared an anonymous request from her fans and then replied asking her followers to “Please use that energy to ask your elected official to get on Beto time and nothing less,  I’m begging you.

There have been 27 school shooting in the US this year and 119 since 2018,  The second  season of Abbot Elementary will premiere this fall on ABC.

Shaunie O’Neal Weds In Anguilla

Shaunie O’Neal, the ex-wife of Shaquille O’Neal married her fiancé Pastor Keion Henderson at a destination ceremony in Anguilla on Saturday.

The couple got engaged in November 2021 after dating for 2 years.

The wedding was attended by 200 guests, including Shaunie’s three sons, Myles, 25, Shareef, 22, and Shaqir, 19. The boys walked their mom down the aisle on a golf course at the Aurora resort. Shaunie’s two daughters, Amirah, 20, and Me’arah, 16, also attended.

Gospel singer Yolanda Adams performed during the reception.

Shaunie Henderson, 47, exclusively told PEOPLE she leaned heavily on her sons for emotional support.

“I just lost my dad in February. So, I really struggled with how I was going to get down the aisle. Losing my dad in the midst of planning this wedding was a lot, so my sons handed me off.”

T’yanna Wallace Celebrates Biggie’s B.I.G. 50 Bringing Juicy Pizza To Brooklyn

The Notorious B.I.G.’s B.I.G. 5Oth Birthday was celebrated this weekend by all. The icon’s daughter T’yanna Wallace brought her own pizza to the party, by hosting a pop-up shop in Brooklyn, bringing the flavors of her once “Juicy Pizza” restaurant in Los Angeles, CA, with co-owner, Tyra Myricks (daughter of Jam Master Jay) to her dad’s borough of Brooklyn, NY. On May 21st, 2022, guests stood on line at Lilly’s Pizza Bar (located Downtown Brooklyn), waiting to grab a slice. The limited menu offered a small 12” personal pan pizza providing 3 flavors off of the original menu, Fried Lobster, Jerk Chicken and Oxtail. As the sounds of Biggie filled the room guests mingled, ate, drank and enjoyed the vibes. T’yanna + Tyra celebrated with fans and other influential guests including her brother C.J., Lil Cease, Protect Yo Heart creator + celebrity artist Uncutt Art, entrepreneur and make up mogul Dollhouse Pretty (Chyna), Love + Hip Hop Socialite Paris Phillips amongst others. With over 200 attendees, the Juicy Pizza pop-up shop was a hit. Keep an eye out, Juicy Pizza may be coming to a city near you. When asked if we’ll be seeing more of Juicy Pizza, co-owner Tyra Myricks answered, “Absolutely.”

[WATCH] Sherri Shepherd Debuts Trailer For New Talk Show

Sherri Shepherd dropped the first trailer for her new daytime talk show, Sherri, which replaces “The Wendy Williams Show” time slot.

In the trailer, Sherri promises to take viewers “behind the scenes, on the road, in the studio, rehearsals, interviews and so much more.”

The former “The View” co-host assured viewers that her show won’t be Wendy Williams 2.0.

“This is my time. It is my lifelong dream to have my own show and it is finally happening,” she said.

“I can’t wait until I return to New York to host the show and merge everything I love… pop culture, talk, entertainment and comedy,” Sherri said previously.

Saweetie dropped major gems regarding her mental health and why she thinks it’s important to maintain the three B’s: balance, breaks, and boundaries, on the newest YouTube series executive produced by LeBron James and Maverick Carter ‘Recipe for Change Amplifying Black Women.’ A series of dinners designed to bring women together to celebrate the stories, traditions, identities, and experiences of Black women as they gather around the dinner table. In this particular segment, Saweetie hosted a dinner with guests  Kelly Rowland, Former Atlanta Mayor  Kecia Lance Bottoms, Elaine Welteroth, Angelica Ross, and Hallease Narvaez while Kelis Rogers was the chef of the night.  Discussing important issues to Black women like their thoughts on the phrase ‘Strong Black Women’ and also how do the ladies keep their mental health in check.  In the clip, Saweetie breaks down her own recipe in keeping it all in check. “We All need the Three B’s,” she says, “its Balance, Break, and Boundaries.  Balance not only do we work hard but we need that love, that girl time. Breaks-I always tell the young entrepreneurs, the young go-getters… team no sleep? No, that’s not cute. Kash Doll went to Twitter with an urgent question for Cardi B- “Aye Bardi how the hell u change wav diaper with the nails?  Lol I got on press ons struggling.”  Cardi rose to the occasion, of course in true Cardi B fashion, the mother of two answered her fellow MC’s question with a full two-minute diaper changing video demonstration on a stuffed bear, long stiletto nails included. With the caption “Okay girl sooo I just made a whole video 🤣😂😂Trust me you will get the hang of it! Last night Keyshia Cole went live on Instagram to talk to her fans about her ill fated relationship with NFL free agent Antonio Brown. The Grammy-nominated artist took to Instagram to discuss her relationship with the free-agent wide receiver, days after he shared a video on Instagram speculated to be of Cole showing off a lower back tattoo of his initials.

After recently sharing her new ‘AB’ tattoo on her lower back. Cole took issue with the caption of Brown’s video, which read: “You Ain’t Pimpin Until You Hit An RnB Diva. #FreeAgent #KeepPimpin.”

“It was a little harsh,” Cole said in an Instagram Live with celebrity stylist EJ King. “Maybe he doesn’t know that it was a little harsh for him to say that. Even me speaking to him, he was like, ‘Do you want me to change the caption?’ And I was like no, I don’t want you to change the caption.”

King called the caption “a little insensitive,” adding that if Cole told Brown the latter, “You’ll start to resent him if he’s not in a place of receiving what you’re trying [to say].”

Now AB is telling Keyshia to keep his name out of her mouth…

In a live stream from Dubai Antonio says, “We don’t want you Keyshia” and calls himself a player. He also calls Keyshia a clout chaser and said she hit him up to do something, they did it and that was it and now he wants her to leave him alone.

SOURCE SPORTS: Adam Silver Says the NBA Has Teamed with the WNBA to Work on Brittney Griner’s Release

WNBA star Brittney Griner has her pretrial detainment in Russia expended for one month earlier this week. On Tuesday night, NBA commissioner Adam Silver revealed he is working alongside WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert in an effort to bring Griner home.

Silver was on hand at the NBA Draft Lottery in Chicago where he spoke to ESPN‘s Malika Andrews and revealed the league is assisting, but listening to experts to not attempt an aggressive approach.

“We’ve been in touch with the White House, the State Department, hostage negotiators, every level of government and also through the private sector as well,” Silver said. “Our No. 1 priority is her health and safety and making sure that she gets out of Russia.”

Griner is believed to be wrongfully detained in Russia after allegedly being in possession of vape cartridges containing cannabis oil.

“That consular official came away with the impression that Brittney Griner is doing as well as might be expected under conditions that can only be described as exceedingly difficult,” State Department spokesman Ned Price said in Washington. “But sporadic contact is not satisfactory. It also may not be consistent with the Vienna Convention to which Russia has subscribed.”

Designer of Marilyn Monroe’s Birthday Dress Says It Was a “Big Mistake” for Kim Kardashian To Wear It

Marilyn Monroe’s estate may be happy that Kim Kardashian wore the iconic “Birthday Dress” to the Met Gala, but the designer of the dress, Bob Mackie, is not.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Mackie called wearing the dress “a big mistake.”

“[Marilyn] was a goddess. A crazy goddess, but a goddess. She was just fabulous. Nobody photographs like that. And it was done for her. It was designed for her,” Mackie stated. “Nobody else should be seen in that dress.”

Mackie drew the design for Jean Louis in 1962, who would fashion Monroe for the president of John F. Kennedy. Monroe would die three months later.

Kim Kardashian wore the dress as she strolled the red carpet with her bae, Pete Davidson. Leading up to the big event, the dress was displayed at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museum in Orlando, Florida.

“Well, this is Marilyn Monroe’s dress and it is 60 years old and she wore this when she sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to President John F. Kennedy in 1962,” Kardashian confirmed to La La on the red carpet. “I had this idea to try it on and then they came with armed guards and gloves.”

According to PEOPLE, the dress was a bit too small and required an intense diet from Kim Kardashian to wear. “I tried it on, and it didn’t fit me. I said, ‘Give me three weeks.’ I had to lose 16 pounds down today,” Kardashian said.

Kardashian stated the challenge was like getting ready for a movie, and she abandoned carbs and sugars for three weeks. After the conclusion, Kardashian joked at a pizza and donut party at the hotel after the event’s conclusion.

The dress originally cost $12,000 and was created around Monroe, who was sewn into it as it was made. After Kardashian walked the red carpet, she changed into a replica dress for the actual event.
