Halle Bailey Responds To DDG Drama, He Calls Rubi Rose A “Wannabe Ice Spice” In Deleted Tweets

DDG called Rubi Rose a “wannabe Ice Spice” in a since-deleted tweet, continuing a barrage of back-and-forth claims. Moreover, it all started when DDG and his girlfriend Halle Bailey started unfollowing each other on social media, which fans quickly took as a breakup. However, when the rapper’s ex Rose got involved, things took a turn for the juicier. She tweeted a message about someone letting their “b***h” wear her clothes, which users quickly pointed at Bailey. In a selfie, she wore the exact same T-shirt that Rubi wore in another picture, although many didn’t take it that seriously. Still, things got more heated when Rose posted alleged DMs between her and DDG.

Moreover, the messages apparently show the Detroit rapper asking Rubi if she’s in Los Angeles. Then, she told him, “U hitting me the day y’all argue is so u lol,” referring to his alleged issues with Halle. The rapper quickly denied those claims and started to go at Rubi on social media. In fact, a hilarious clip of him reacting to those messages pouring in sees him quite frustrated. In a now-deleted tweet, he said “[Cap] u old news gang. U a wannabe Ice Spice now [clown emoji] This the most relevant u been in years. Quit posting that weak ass music you didn’t write on your story.”

Later, she quote tweeted that message with “U so f***ing sassy wtf lol.” Also, she tweeted, and deleted, “Get ur family before I say sumn fr lol.” Moreover, she likely referred to DDG’s sister’s messages for her. “Y’all can tell [Rubi Rose] I want all the smoke…” she wrote. “I owe that b***h an ass whoopin anyway for that s**t she pulled with my mama and sister.. B***hes always wanna bully the sweet girls.”

Meanwhile, Halle Bailey stepped in to set the record straight. “The devil is working,” she wrote. “Lol please don’t feed into the lies, especially from a third party. Stay blessed everyone.” In a quote retweet, DDG expressed, “Can y’all let my meat go now. Rubi is a weirdo. She been hating on my relationship for years.” Regardless of who you believe, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates on this developing story.

Rubi Rose Calls DDG A “Weirdo,” Denies Disliking Halle Bailey

DDG is calling the internet “gullible” for believing the rumours about him and Halle Bailey ending their relationship. Despite his denial, however, the drama continues to surround the pair. Now, the rapper’s ex, Rubi Rose has entered the chat. Earlier this weekend, she seemingly called out the Michigan native for passing along one of her old shirts to his new boo.

The Little Mermaid actress recently posted a Story to her Instagram page. She wished her followers a good morning while sporting a bare face and a black and white tee. The clip’s focus is more on Bailey’s face than her outfit, but internet sleuths still quickly noticed the top is identical to one Rose previously wore in 2020. At the time, she posted a series of selfies with the caption, “I know he lying… But f*ck it I am too.”

Shortly after the R&B songstress posted her Story, DDG’s ex shared a telling message on her Twitter page. “Having [your] bitch [wear] my clothes is crazy lol,” she wrote on Saturday (February 11). Of course, followers instantly assumed the message had to be about Halle. “You coming for the little mermaid, your mentions ’bout to be a mess fr,” one person pointed out.

“She probably got that shirt off Fashion Nova just like you did, relax,” another troll chimed in. In her usual fashion, Rose didn’t hesitate to address the drama unfolding in her mentions. She firstly defended her typos in the initial tweet, explaining, “I’m still lit off the ‘migos bae, my b.” Then, in another post, made it clear that her beef is with her ex, not with his new girlfriend.

“I like Halle,” the 25-year-old confirmed in a short and sweet post. “DDG a weird tho fasho.” Unfortunately for her, fans of the YouTuber were quick to pull out receipts of movements when her behaviour was nothing short of unsavoury as well. Among them are screenshots of social media posts saying things like “DDG f*cks my p*ssy so good,” and “DDG got the best d*ck in the world.”

Those responses have received far less attention from Rose, though they continue to pour in on her page. Elsewhere online, some are taking advantage of Bailey’s breakup rumours, going so far as to create a Change.org petition demanding that she find a new man. It was officially launched earlier this week and has already received upwards of 1,600 signatures.

“Halle Bailey is black royalty and she has a childish peasant attached to her,” creator Lindsey Williams wrote in the page’s description. “We want better for our princess. Her celebrity shouldn’t be used for YouTube views and clicks. She’s unproblematic and her childish (hopefully ex-boyfriend) thought it was funny to sub her when she’s about to have the biggest year ever.”

DDG Calls Internet Gullible After Halle Bailey Breakup Rumors

DDG and Halle Bailey have been one of pop culture’s most adored young couples over the past year or so. The streamer-turned-rapper and Beyoncé-apprentice singer’s relationship had been sunshine and rainbows for the most part, until things took a turn earlier this week. On Feb. 7, DDG put out a tweet that implied he and Halle were on the rocks, saying “All these girls the same.”

After this, fans discovered he had not only wiped any mention of Halle off of his Instagram page, but the couple unfollowed one another also. DDG’s tweet went viral and prompted reactions from both his supporters and Halle’s. Some people even believed DDG was implying that Halle cheated on him. It was then discovered that the youngsters re-followed each other on IG hours later, making it all seem like just a melodramatic fight or argument. Amid this drama, Halle’s older sister Ski Bailey had some words for DDG, telling him not to “treat her the way that you’ve treated these others.” Later, though, Ski rescinded her remarks after discussing the subject with her sister, where Halle assured her nothing was wrong: “My bad y’all. I spoke to sis and ain’t nothing going on lol. Let me go back to drinking my water and minding the business that pays me.”

DDG Backtracks

In a quick change of tone on Feb. 8, DDG put out another tweet seemingly looking to reel the drama back in. “The internet so gullible” he wrote accompanied by a laughing emoji. Less than three hours following this, he put out a new WORLDSTARHIPHOP exclusive music video titled “Delilah.” Fans in the replies immediately felt that the drama he manufactured with Halle was simply for promotion of his new single.

While we cannot be sure of DDG and Halle Bailey’s current standing, he is definitely making it seem like his original tweet was overblown, as it is now deleted. Regardless, it is pretty apparent that, whether he meant to or not, his latest release is getting more attention because of the debacle. What are your thoughts on the DDG and Halle mess?

Halle Bailey’s Sister Ski Apologizes After Calling Out DDG

A tweet by DDG set the internet on fire after people believed he was shading Halle Bailey. The couple has been going strong for some time, often sharing bits of their romance with fans. However, yesterday (February 7), DDG tweeted, “All these girls the same,” causing a firestorm of reactions. People quickly attributed the message to The Little Mermaid star, and rumors of a breakup soon followed. The controversy elicited a reaction from Ski Bailey, Halle’s older sister.

In a video, Ski seemed perturbed by seeing Halle’s name as a hot topic. Then, she directly addressed DDG and let him know her sister isn’t to be messed with, especially publicly. “Halle’s not like the ones that you been with,” Ski said in her video. “You will not treat her the way that you’ve treated these others. I don’t give a freak if y’all had issues going on. That’s what you won’t do. Please understand that.”

“Like, you’re not gonna do her the way that you did everybody else,” Ski continued. “You’re not gonna come to social media and try to put her on blast and insinuate or put something out that make it seem like she was doing something that she wasn’t doing. You need to pipe down and get yourself together. If y’all broke up then you need to just unfollow and just keep it pushin’. You don’t have to put nothin’ out there like that. Talkin’ about, ‘All these girls is the same.’ Are you dumb? Are you stupid?”

After her clip circulated online, Ski returned with an update. It seemed that she spoke with Halle and got the inside information as to what was going on behind the scenes. “My bad y’all. I spoke to sis and ain’t nothing going on lol,” she wrote. “Let me go back to drinking my water and minding the business that pays me.”

Still, the status of DDG and Halle’s relationship is unclear. Neither has addressed breakup rumors, but Ski’s update has made fans believe that whatever happened may have been reconciled. Yet, others noted that DDG seemingly erased Halle’s photos from his social media accounts. Check out Ski Bailey’s video above.

Did DDG And Halle Bailey Break Up?

As Valentine’s Day approaches, love is in the air. However, based on whispers across social media, hip-hop and R&B’s hottest young couple DDG and Halle Bailey may be sending the lover’s holiday apart. The pair began their romance in January 2022 and have been publicly spotted in public ever since, including on the red carpet at the BET Awards.

Rapper and YouTuber DDG has spoken about how the singer has motivated him, centered his love for her in his past music videos, and used his platform to speak out against racist trolls targeting her starring role in Disney’s The Little Mermaid live-action adaptation. However, after fans noticed that DDG was no longer following Bailey on Instagram, they began questioning if the pair had quietly called it quits.

In a now-deleted tweet, DDG wrote, “All girls are the same.” Without context, the internet began to think that the singer had stepped out of the relationship, but Bailey’s oldest sister took to social media to clear Halle’s name. In the video, she said, “you’re not going to come on social media and insinuate that she was doing something that she wasn’t doing. You need to pipe down and get yourself together.”

After pushback, DDG retired to Twitter to seemingly address the rumors of the singer cheating, writing, “The internet so gullible.”

So, did they break up? It looks like the jury is out for now — but all the signs are there. We’ll have to wait until they confirm it one way or another; ’til then, it’s all just speculation.

Fans Think DDG & Halle Bailey Broke Up

Another Hip Hop couple may have called it quits—that is if you are to believe the rumors about DDG and Halle Bailey. It was just over a year ago when the pair were rumored to have vacationed together. Soon, they were displaying their love to the public, and while it seemed like an unlikely match, their bond quickly grew on fans. However, things seem to have changed online, and people have speculated as to the status of their relationship.

The rapper recently tweeted, “All these girls the same.” He dropped off a crying emoji and added, “Ain’t no wayy.” Then, people noticed that DDG scrubbed his Instagram clean of memories with Bailey. Further, it looked like they no longer follow one another on Instagram, either. It didn’t take long for social media users to hop online with their takes on what could have happened.

Despite sharing tender moments with the masses, DDG and Bailey were a private couple. They didn’t let the world into too many of their intimate moments, but when they did, they boasted about one another. Back in November, the rapper visited The Breakfast Club and detailed why he was so taken with Bailey.

“I’ve never been with nobody that’s like really motivated me like she do,” he said at the time. “I’m seeing different sh*t. I ain’t really been around this type of sh*t before. So, it’s like, she’s bringing me around sh*t that I ain’t really—you know what I’m saying?” DDG added, “I was my own person before her, but in a way, she put me on to different sh*t. That’s dope because I’m usually the one putting motherf*ckers on.”

Meanwhile, after unfollowing Bailey, DDG seemingly re-followed after going viral. People also believed he was insinuating that Halle cheated, which didn’t bode over well. It was further noted that DDG isn’t private regarding his love life, but for Halle, this is the first public relationship she’s shared. The rapper earned himself backlash from Bailey’s fans. There Was ‘No Agenda’ When Casting Halle Bailey In ‘The Little Mermaid,’ The Movie’s Director Insists

After Grammy-award-winning singer and songwriter HER’s (real name Gabriella Wilson) performance as Belle in Beauty And The Beast: A 30th Celebration television event, Disney lovers are counting down the days until the live adaption of The Little Mermaid hits theaters. The film starring Halle Bailey in the title role of Ariel is slated to be released in the spring of next year.

Over the years, Disney and its child company, Pixar, have made strides to center more diverse stories and actors throughout its films. Unfortunately, not everyone was pleased with this decision. Seeing a regal underwater mermaid with dreadlocks pushed some over the edge.

Although the “Do It” singer has avoided the negative comments, only addressing the pressures of stepping into the role, many other industry professionals have come out to publicly support her, including Encanto director Lin-Manuel Miranda and now, The Little Mermaid director Rob Marshall.

In an interview with EW, Marshall clapped back at naysayers claiming Bailey was only cast to appease the “woke community” or to meet a diversity quota. When asked about Bailey’s casting, Marshall replied, “We just were looking for the best actor for the role, period. The end. We saw everybody and every ethnicity. The goal was to find someone who can be incredibly strong, passionate, beautiful, smart, clever, and with a great deal of fire and joy.”

Marshall stressed there was “no agenda” behind Bailey’s casting.

For upset about Halle Bailey’s upcoming appearance in The Little Mermaid, you may want to brace yourself as her big sister Chloe Bailey has verbalized her desire to play Storm from X-Men.
