Halle Bailey Is Sipping Wine And “Blasting JT” Amid DDG Drama

It looks like Halle Bailey is trying to drown out the noise with some adult beverages and ratchet hip-hop. If you have not been keeping with the singer and actress’ relationship with DDG, let us fill you in. A couple of months ago, the rapper and The Little Mermaid lead called it quits not too after the birth of their baby, Halo. Since their breakup there have been some signs of healthy co-parenting, but also some lowlights as well. For the most part, the YouTuber has been the one responsible for pretty much all of the drama. It’s why some feel that Halle Bailey is better off without him due to his content-creating lifestyle.

Those folks’ voices are amplified even more so right now thanks to DDG inadvertently thrusting himself into the fire (depending on who you ask). He made an appearance on plaqueboymax’s recent stream and was asked who his favorite ex was. He said someone whose “name starts with a K” instead of Halle, although he did attempt to clarify prior that he wasn’t including family. DDG was indirectly referring to the mother of his child by saying that, but outlets clipped the answer only.

A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom)

That led to him calling out The Shade Room (who covered the story) as well as a legion of his fans. “HALLE IS NOT MY EX, SHE IS MY FAMILY, I EXCLUDED HER. I DONT GIVE A 2 F*CKS ABOUT THAT OTHER WOMAN, IM JUST PLAYING THE GAME. THIS IS OUT OF CONTEXT!” he wrote in the publication’s IG comment section.

Despite the explanation, Halle Bailey and her fans are trying to quell the talk and speculation. The Shade Room reposted a picture of the younger Bailey sister in a black, lingerie-style night gown. Fans are loving the sultrier mirror selfie, writing, “She said Halo’s asleep but Mommy’s up 😜” Another adds, “She has an alter ego & I love it LOL.” Bailey captioned the post with a pretty obvious indirect reply to what’s been going on lately: “🖤 drank some wine & blasting JT.”

DDG Calls Out Gossip Blogs As Recent Comments About Halle Bailey Were Chopped Out Of Context

DDG is all sorts of enraged today following a recent collaboration with streamer, plaqueboymax. The rapper and fellow content creator was on his platform, and he participated in a segment similar to “Hot Ones” called “Dry Ones.” It’s also a Q&A and if you decide to not answer the question posed to you, the person has to eat a Popeyes biscuit. At around the 21-minute mark of the YouTube clip below it becomes plaqueboymax’s turn to ask DDG a singeing question. After some deliberating, he decides to ask him who his favorite ex was that he actually dated. Immediately, the Michigan native was already imagining the “TikTok clip” coming.

But he played along anyway and said that it was someone whose name “starts with a K.” He had said that it’s been about five years since they last spoke. However, he did admit that they “had a good run.” DDG, being in the public eye for a while, read the situation perfectly, because The Shade Room clipped his answer and reshared it on social media. But this has since led to a lot of angry reactions from fans who saw the full stream, and DDG himself.

A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom)

What the clip from the outlet doesn’t show that the YouTube one does is what he says prior to his answer. “‘Cause we ain’t talkin’ about family.” Plaqueboymax then wanted to clarify, “So favorite ex besides… you know.” Of course, they are referring to one Halle Bailey, whom DDG split up from earlier this year. Many fans pointed out this fact in the comments section of The Shade Room‘s repost. “The SHADEroom purposely cut out the besides Halle part. Yal really are a BIG part of the problem 🤦🏽‍♀️” one user writes.

“Shade room intentionally left off the Halle part bro they really be working overtime to promote drama 😂” another adds. DDG also went off on the media outlet for doing so. “HALLE IS NOT MY EX, SHE IS MY FAMILY, I EXCLUDED HER. I DONT GIVE A 2 F*CKS ABOUT THAT OTHER WOMAN, IM JUST PLAYING THE GAME. THIS IS OUT OF CONTEXT!” Based on the all-caps writing and language used, you can tell he’s visibly upset with how this was handled. In hindsight, he might have been better off just eating another biscuit and calling it a day. On the other hand, he did want to play along and provide content for plaqueboymax, so he was really in a sticky situation from the jump.

Chlöe And Halle Bailey Came Together For A Performance At The 2024 Fashion Awards, Now Fans Want A Full-On Reunion

The Chloe x Halle reunion rumor flames are scorching hot. Yesterday (December 2), Uproxx cover star Chlöe and Halle Bailey hit the stage for at the 2024 Fashion Awards.

Although the siblings walked the British event as ambassadors for Pandora (the jewelry company), they had another professional obligation. Later in the evening, the pair rekindled their magic as a musical duo for the packed Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

While the ladies had five projects to pull from (including Ungodly Hour) as well as recent collaborations “Want Me” (from Chlöe’s Trouble In Paradise album) and “Soft” (off of Flo’s debut album Access All Areas) they decided to switch things up. According to one TikTok user, Chlöe and Halle’s set included a cover of The Bee Gees’ “To Love Somebody.”

At this time only attendees can spill the beans about the duo’s temporary reunion and most are tight-lipped. Whispers online claim that the full performance in all of its sure to be glory will be uploaded to a video service before the week is up.

However, Chloe x Halle fans don’t want to wait. Across social media sites such as X (formerly Twitter), Snapchat, and TikTok clips of their set have popped up. But each post doesn’t have much staying power as they appeared to have been struck down due to copyright infringement claims.

So, ultimately patience is key. If the reports are true, the performance as it was intended to be viewed should be out soon.

Halo Hilariously Indicates That His Dad DDG Doesn’t Have The Best Hygiene

DDG and Halle Bailey love to show off their son Halo on social media, although sometimes, they might want to make sure that he can’t inadvertently make fun of them for the ‘Gram. Moreover, the former was recently recording his son as they both just chilled out on a bed, and Halo put on a hilarious “stank face” after smelling his dad’s armpit. In fact, he even let out an audible “Ugh.” It was pretty hilarious and follows some other viral moments featuring the near-one-year-old, even as the drama between his recently split parents continues to go up and down.

Fortunately, it seems like things are much better for DDG and Halle Bailey these days, and it’s great that they can stay connected and support each other through Halo. Also, that certainly is a plus when they face a lot of trolls and nasty online comments via social media, such as a lot of clowning when the former shaved his facial hair off. The important thing is to just recognize when to present a united front against the haters and when to instead advocate for yourself in the relationship.

Halo Seems To Think His Dad DDG Is Stinky

For example, Halle Bailey and DDG recently faced a situation that involved both of these aspects regarding their son Halo. When the latter took the little one to Kai Cenat’s stream without Halle’s permission, she expressed a lot of frustration. While she eventually apologized for this pop-off, the Michigan rapper defended her from the critics online, explaining that she’s fully within her right to advocate for herself. So not only did they have to come to an agreement on a private matter that became public, but they also had to make sure not to conflate their frustrations with fans’ hateful remarks.

Meanwhile, some folks think that DDG and Halle Bailey are rekindling their romance, but if Halo has anything to say about it, he’d probably recommend his pops a better deodorant before trying again. Jokes aside, we’re sure plenty more adorable content will come from them no matter what relationship status they pursue. Hopefully their child brings them closer together and not further apart.

Halle Bailey & DDG’s Friendly Interaction Sparks Rekindling Rumors

DDG has not been hiding his true emotions about Halle Bailey from anyone. Ever since their stunning break up back in early October, he’s continuously made it clear that he misses the actress, singer, and mother of his child, dearly. Days after their split, the Michigan rapper and content creator stated explicitly, “I am not dating anyone. I don’t have a potential girlfriend, nor do I even think about that… [and] don’t plan on getting into another [relationship] at all… I am not finna get a new girlfriend.” Then, on his most recent single, “WHAT U BAD FOR” featuring Real Boston Richey, he double down on staying single.

Thing about Halo mommy, you know that’s my baby forever / Y’all know that I love that—.” People following this relationship closely have been pretty happy for Halle Bailey moving on from him. However, their month apart could be over thanks to a recent clip circling social media. Live Bitez reshared a video of them looking pretty cute and friendly together and it’s got some thinking they either got back together or never broke up to begin with.

In the video, DDG is showing off some new clothing samples that look to be dropping at some point. While “modeling” the apparel off in front of Halle, she’s extremely complimentary and friendly throughout the interaction. “Oh my God it’s so cute,” she says to DDG. He cracks a smile, and you can tell that things seem to be pretty good between them despite all of the drama.

The internet picked up on it too, and as we said, they are buying that they could be dating again. “They have a child together so it’s not far fetched,” one IG user believes. “They have a child together and they clearly still love each other,” another adds. However, others aren’t as sold, labeling it as just good co-parenting. “They have a kid together guys, they are probably really good friends and want to cultivate a healthy co-parenting relationship and environment for halo,” one surmises. Regardless, it’s good to see Halle and DDG acting this way, especially in front of their baby boy.

A New Movie Based On Pharrell’s Childhood Will Feature Halle Bailey, Janelle Monáe, Anderson. Paak, And Missy Elliott

Pharrell had one of the year’s most notable movies with Piece By Piece, a biopic animated in the style of Lego. He’s not finished telling his story through film yet: It was just revealed he’s teaming up with Michel Gondry on Golden, a movie set for 2025 that was inspired by his childhood.

The cast is led by Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Halle Bailey. Bailey isn’t the only noteworthy musician in the movie, as the film also features Janelle Monáe, Anderson. Paak, and Missy Elliott. The cast is rounded out by Da’vine Joy Randolph, Brian Tyree Henry, and Quinta Brunson.

Of the movie, Pharrell tells Empire:

Piece By Piece is about my life, whereas Golden is about a neighborhood that I grew up in. This is very different. It’s a musical expedition, set in the summer of 1977 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with the spirit of the music [of that time]. You know how in Dirty Dancing and Grease, the music was almost a character? That’s what it’s like in this film. It’s a coming-of-age story about self-discovery and pursuing your dreams, but it’s so much more magical than that. It’s a celebration of Black life, Black culture, and most importantly, Black joy.”

The film was originally titled Atlantis, after the housing development where Pharrell grew up. Of the name change, Pharrell explains, “It just speaks to the narrative, the area, the energy and literally everything about [the film, which is] this analysis of what being ‘golden’ is. Children and grown-ups with inner children within them can connect to it and realize that there’s a golden aspect to them too, whether it’s realized or latent.”

DDG Links Up With Angel Reese To Promote “What U Bad For”

DDG linked up with Angel Reese in a new video he shared on social media on Saturday. In the clip, he raps along to his new song, “What U Bad For,” which he and Real Boston Richey dropped earlier this week. In response, Reese poses next to him while he performs.

Users had plenty of jokes in response to DDG’s post when The Shade Room shared it on Instagram. Many referenced his ex, Halle Bailey. “Can y’all please stop promoting Halles baby daddy. We never knew who he was and still don’t care,” one user wrote. Another joked about their height difference. “When you trying to rizz your baby sitter but she ain’t going for it,” they remarked.

The video comes after DDG sparked rumors that he wants to get back with Halle Bailey. In a video shared to his YouTube channel, earlier this week, he explained his stance on having more children. “One thing that I do not want to do is to have ‘baby mamas’ or whatever y’all like to call it,” DDG explained, as caught by Complex. “If I was to have another kid, it definitely would be with the same person. I don’t want to have kids with multiple people. I feel like that’s just too much. I’m perfectly fine with Halo. I can live the rest of my life with just Halo as my son, I don’t need to have another kid, but I wouldn’t mind having like a daughter or something. I think that would just be dope, you know, but I want him to be able to kick it with his sibling.”

DDG and Halle welcomed their first son, Halo, late last year. They officially split up last month. Check out DDG’s video of himself hanging out with Angel Reese below.

DDG & Real Boston Richey Hype Their Ladies Up On “What U Bad For”

If you have been keeping an eye on DDG’s movement online lately, a lot of it has been related to Halle Bailey. The Michigan native has clearly not been okay since the breakup last month, even saying so himself. On a recent Q&A livestream, the rapper and YouTuber was asked about moving on and seeing someone new. He quickly shut that down, saying, “No, I’m not dating. I haven’t moved on.” Given how fresh it is, it makes a lot of sense. A lot of people have not been the kindest to him since their falling out, assuming he was at fault.

However, on his new single with Real Boston Richey, “WHAT U BAD FOR,” DDG is addressing that very topic, as well as where his mind is at regarding Halle.Yeah, they cappin’ and s*** on the blogs, they think I’m a bum, but f*** that s*** / I like when they countin’ me out, ’cause I know I’m that n****, I love that s***.” He then adds, “Thing about Halo mommy, you know that’s my baby forever, y’all know that I love that— (Go).” Whether or not this anthem for the baddies was just a vehicle to drop these bars in will remain a mystery. But if it was, it’s certainly doing its job at creating some conversation.

DDG Admits He Still Loves Halle Bailey In New Song “WHAT U BAD FOR”

DDG and Halle Bailey can’t seem to go very long without discussing one another. This is a chicken or the egg situation, admittedly. It’s impossible to know if they are talking about each other fans are interested, or if fans are interested because they are talking about each other. Either way, DDG and Bailey have been the focus of numerous stories since their break up in October. DDG, in particular, has dedicated a lot of his online content to discussing the mother of his child. He did so again on November 15, when he put out a new song.

The song in question is called “WHAT U BAD FOR.” DDG brags about all the women he’s bagged and all the money he’s made, but the most interesting bars come when he drops the boastful facade. He delves into his personal life, and the way he feels about Halle Bailey. “Thing about Halo mommy, you know that’s my baby forever,” he raps. “Y’all know that I love that—.” The word “go” takes the place of the word that would have otherwise completed the line. Elsewhere in the song, DDG talks about the criticism that he’s gotten online since the break up.

DDG Calls Halle Bailey His “Baby Forever”

“Yeah, they cappin’ and sh*t on the blogs, they think I’m a bum, but f*ck that sh*t,” DDG adds. “I like when they countin’ me out, ’cause I know I’m that n**ga, I love that sh*t.” The rapper’s bars might be a bit surprising to those who haven’t been keeping up with his live stream. Those who have, however, are aware that he has already admitted to still having feelings for Halle Bailey. In a recent Q&A stream, DDG told fans that he doesn’t want to have kids with multiple women, nor does he feel ready to date another person. “No, I’m not dating,” he asserted. “I haven’t moved on.”

DDG has mentioned Halle Bailey in his lyrics, before, but in a wildly different context. The rapper alluded to his superstar ex on the 2023 song “Famous.” He alludes to the fact that Bailey got close with her Little Mermaid co-star during the film’s press tour. “I been so insecure that I be thinkin’ you really be f*ckin’ n**gas you in movies with,” he rapped. Many theorize that this insecurity was partially to blame for the couple splitting. Either way, it appears as though there’s more to this story than a simple break up.

DDG Reveals He Has Not ‘Moved On’ From Halle Bailey, Wants More Kids in the Future

DDG Drops New Collection With Anti Social Social Club Titled 'Who We Hate to Be'

DDG got candid for his fans, revealing in a stream he has not moved on from Halle Bailey. “No, I’m not dating,” DDG said to his fans. “I haven’t moved on.”

He also revealed that he wants more kids but not with multiple people. He wants to have them within the next 2-3 years to avoid the new baby being too far apart in age from Halo, risking the chance they don’t have a tight bond. “I feel like that defeats the entire purpose of having another kid.”

Speaking on it he said, “I don’t want to have kids with multiple people. I feel like that’s just too much.”
