Live Nation Partner Heather Lowery orchestrated the inaugural Femme It Forward Grammy Weekend High Tea Party in West Hollywood. The event brought together award-winning artists and female executives in music to honor Grammy Nominees Coco Jones, Summer Walker, and Halle Bailey.

As performers and cultural leaders, these women were celebrated for their contributions to the culture of Black women in music and entertainment. My Black is Beautiful, the brand partner, played a pivotal role in bringing this exclusive event to life, reflecting Femme It Forward’s commitment to recognizing and providing visibility for women.

“Success never comes easy, and for most of us in the room—certainly myself—we have to work at least twice as hard as everyone else,” Lowery said in her toast. “A part of me always feels like I am at square one, no matter how long I have been doing this. I am expressing this because I am not alone and know that many people in this room know exactly what I am talking about.”

The star-studded gathering featured entertainment by acclaimed DJs Amapiano DJ, Uncle Waffles, and DJ Rosegold, with a show-stopping performance by UCLA’s Gluck String Quartet dedicated to the honorees. Synchronized swimmers from The Black Swans added a unique visual element, choreographing routines to the tunes of Halle Bailey’s “Angel,” Coco Jones’ “ICU,” and Summer Walker’s “To Summer From Cole.”

Celebrity attendees included AMBRE, Rapsody, Baby Tate, Tierra Whack, Kyla Pratt, Maeta, Lady London, and more. The event offered a multi-sensory culinary and cocktail experience, featuring an upscale tea bar and immersive activations. An art experience curated by Mashonda Tifrere’s ArtLeadHer, in collaboration with Auttrianna Projects and UNREPD, showcased the work of Maya Seas, Megan Lewis, Chantel Walkes, Leah King, and Cortney Herron, empowered by Live Nation Women. Guests also enjoyed luxurious cocktails featuring CÎROC Limonata, a new refreshing flavor from CÎROC’s expanding library of tastes. The Femme It Forward event exemplified the collective celebration and empowerment of women in the music industry.

Halle Bailey Slams Users Online For Suggesting That She Lied About Her Pregnancy With Son Halo

As they did with Rihanna in 2023, fans frantically played detective to determine if Halle Bailey was expecting her first child. For months, the “Angel” singer managed to avoid discussing future plans with her boyfriend DDG. That all changed on January 6, when the first-time parents confirmed the birth of their son, Halo.

Now that the news is out, Bailey has begun sharing content she recorded while pregnant. But some aren’t particularly fond of the light-hearted material, given how secretive Bailey had been. Some have even called her out for gaslighting and lying to her followers when they asked if she was with child. Well, Bailey has had enough. On January 28, Bailey took to X (formerly Twitter) to slam folks for pushing the narrative.

“I never lied or even said anything about it, honey,” she wrote. “Making a joke about my nose was the farthest I went. I’ll never understand why you are mad i protected my own peace, wouldn’t you do the same? And I’m gonna share my pics now if I want to because my son is here safely. If you don’t wanna see it, just keep scrolling, baby LOL. God bless you! 😘♥

Bailey previously revealed that she stirred clear from social media to maintain her sanity while pregnant. Her sister, Uproxx cover star Chlöe, echoed this decision and encouraged her to enjoy the pregnancy offline to avoid people’s opinions online.

Halle Bailey Reveals Photoshopped Pregnancy Pictures Hiding Her Belly

Halle Bailey tried her best to hide her pregnancy with DDG for privacy, although fans still cracked the code eventually. Nonetheless, it’s still curious and impressive to see what lengths she and her team went to in order to shroud her image in secrecy. Moreover, the R&B star recently took to social media (specifically Snapchat) to recall a photoshoot in which they Photoshopped her belly out to lead folks astray. Unfortunately, her remarks don’t reveal who did this process for her, and a lot of fans believe that they deserve props for their successful efforts, even if other public appearances are what led fans to this theory.

“lmaooo do y’all remember seeing this pics on my insta?” Halle Bailey captioned a video of the photoshoot. “we photoshopped out my belly [laughing emojis].” Of course, she’s sharing a lot about her post-pregnancy body right now, so it’s only natural she would want to look back on her journey up to this point. After all, the Georgia native dealt with a lot of comments on her figure during the heights of her pregnancy speculation, and the truth behind it didn’t make people’s assumptions any easier to deal with. Some were harsher than others, but they let her know early on that there was a lot of interest in her love life.

Furthermore, a lot of people seem offended by Halle Bailey’s decision to keep her personal life private. For example, many folks outwardly declined to give her requested advice on breast pumping because they find it hypocritical considering that she didn’t make her journey public. Many fans came to the 23-year-old’s defense concerning this, justifying her right to share whatever she wants to share. It’s a bit of an odd debate to have of a celebrity, but we can understand both sides of the aisle given their detachment from her personal life.

Meanwhile, with new music on the way from Chlöe X Halle, we’re looking forward to this new phase of their career. They developed their individual paths a lot last year in many different areas, and to see them reunite will be a treat. Hopefully this is something that the duo doesn’t keep secret for much longer. Uproxx cover star Chlöe Bailey did a recent interview with People Magazine, where she discussed her sister Halle’s pregnancy and how they tried to hide it until she was ready to share her baby with the world. As Chlöe put it, it was the “best kept secret ever.”

“We just ignore it,” she shared. “I would tell her, like, take social media off your phone, you know, I keep all her other secrets. So this was just another one in the books.”

Chlöe herself is also “on cloud nine” about the fact that she’s now an aunt. Halle and her boyfriend, DDG, welcomed their son, Halo, which they revealed earlier this month through an Instagram post.

Both the sisters are still keeping busy. Chlöe performed at the Urban One Honors: Best In Black event. Halle is set to host a Masterclass that fans can livestream, which will be part of the festivities for Grammy Week. More information about that can be found here.

Chlöe also recently teased during a TikTok livestream that the two could be reuniting to put out some new music. Both sisters worked on their solo projects, with Chlöe dropping In Pieces, and Halle appearing as the lead in the live-action Little Mermaid.

Check out Halle Bailey and DDG’s announcement of Halo’s birth below.

Grammy season is underway. As the events are rolling out, members of the Recording Academy are looking forward to enriching their minds with music knowledge and creativity.

“I am so excited for this second installment of Grammy House,” Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, said in a statement (via Billboard). “The response last year from younger fans and artists just starting their relationship with the Recording Academy was overwhelming, and we’re a better organization because of the increased engagement with them. I’m grateful for the amazing artists and partners who are helping make this year’s Grammy House an even bigger success.”

One of the Grammy Week events includes a special Masterclass with singer and actress Halle Bailey. Members of Grammy U will be able to attend the Masterclass in person by invitation only. The good news for non-members is that they will be able to livestream the event on Friday, February 2 at 1 p.m. PT, via the Grammy Awards’ YouTube and Twitch channels.

Over the course of the past year, Halle Bailey, who performs under the stage name Halle, starred in two movie musicals — The Little Mermaid and The Color Purple released her solo debut single, “Angel.” She has proven to be quite successful in both music and film, and while it’s not clear what her Masterclass will be about, she’ll surely have some valuable insight to offer.

Halle’s Masterclass is just one of a handful of Grammy Week events from the Recording Academy, so learn more about what else is going on here.

No, Ice Spice Does Not Have A Little Munch In The Oven, Despite The Viral Photo Circulating Online

In 2023, no other rap rookie shined quite like Ice Spice. You name it, the “In Ha Mood” rapper accomplished it. From chart placement and big brand partnerships to massive collaborations with superstars Nicki Minaj (for the Barbie movie soundtrack) and Taylor Swift, Ice Spice is one to watch.

This year, based on interviews from her producer, RiotUSA, the Bronx native doesn’t have any plans on slowing down with her debut album slated to drop this year. However, thanks to a now-viral photo shared by Ice Spice, users online think that could be pushed back. After uploading an image on X (formerly Twitter) to show off her casual chic look of the day, her followers’ reaction was quite what Ice Spice expected.

The number one thing on fans’ minds was: Is Ice Spice pregnant? The question nearly became a trending topic as the image’s impressions on the platform alone rocketed to over two million.

Ice Spice chimed in without skipping a beat to shut down the speculation quickly. “Nobody’s pregnant,” she wrote. “N****s just phat.”

Images taken from other angles seem to support Ice Spice’s claim. However, after the lengths Halle Bailey went to in order to hide her pregnancy on social media, users aren’t convinced by Ice Spice’s explanation.

Chlöe Could Be Reuniting With Her Sister Halle Bailey, Or So The Singer Teased While Chatting With Fans

2023 belonged to the Bailey sisters. Both Uproxx cover star Chlöe and Halle Bailey accomplished considerable career feats in their solo pursuits. For Chlöe, that included hitting the road for her first solo headlining tour, dropping her debut studio album In Pieces, and appearing in several film and TV projects. Halle’s resume was also quite impressive.

Before welcoming her son with DDG, Halle starred in The Little Mermaid and The Color Purple. She even snagged a Grammy nomination for her debut solo single, “Angel.” With both siblings swamped with professional opportunities, fans have let go of the idea of a Chloe X Halle reunion. However, not all hope is lost. On January 20, during a TikTok livestream, Chlöe teased that the supporters’ wish had been granted.

When asked by a user when the duo would release new music, Chlöe quickly answered, “Soon.”

Shortly after dropping their sophomore studio album, Ungodly Hour, the siblings broke the news to fans that they would be taking a hiatus. With Halle hard at work on her forthcoming solo album, it’s hard to say how a reunion would fit into the plans. Maybe instead of an entire project from the duo, Chlöe is hinting about a one-off track on Halle’s upcoming project. Either way, fans can’t wait until it becomes tangible.

Halle Bailey’s baby is here, and now she and those close to her are pulling out footage from her pregnancy. The latest to deliver a video is her sister, Chloe Bailey.

In the video, Chloe and Halle are dancing to Drake’s “Rich Baby Daddy,” with Halle’s stomach showing during the turn-up session.

Earlier this month, Halle Bailey confirmed what fans long speculated, she was pregnant. She and her boyfriend, rapper DDG, announced the birth of their son Halo on Instagram.

“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son,” Bailey wrote. “Welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥.”

DDG shared, “my biggest blessing by far 👶🏽❤ son son.. never been so in love 🥹 baby halo.”

Chloe X Halle Twerk It Out To A Drake Favorite In The First Video From Halle’s Pregnancy

Now that Halle Bailey has finally revealed the birth of her and DDG’s baby Halo, the floodgates of pregnancy content have opened. After months of Halle staying off social media to protect her mental health, she’s apparently given her sister Chloe the green light to start sharing the videos and photos the two inevitably shot during the pregnancy. Chloe’s first post shows that the baby weight didn’t slow the younger Bailey down one bit as the sisters teamed up to twerk it out to Drake’s For All The Dogs ratchet favorite, “Rich Baby Daddy” featuring Sexyy Red and SZA.

The rumors of Halle’s pregnancy swirled throughout the last quarter of 2023 as the Color Purple star mostly stayed out of the press cycle for the film despite playing a major role in it and being featured heavily in the trailers. Any appearances she did make in public were in very baggy clothing to hide the baby bump. However, the sisters — and DDG — went to extreme lengths to downplay the rumors, with Chloe appearing to address them by telling fans to “keep my sister’s name out your mouth” and DDG trolling fans with a baby doll on a livestream.

Now that the baby has arrived, though, he already has over 50,000 followers on Instagram, despite only having one photo. But in terms of the Bailey fam social media, it seems we’re mostly just happy to see more Chloe X Halle content — and the potential for a follow-up to Ungodly Hour.
