Dwight Howard Showcases Gym Workouts With His Kids

Dwight Howard is nothing if not a workhorse basketball player. The first overall pick in 2004, he went on to have a dominant career in the NBA. Eight-time all-star, five-time all-NBA first team, a championship in 2020. Furthermore, his defense was truly elite. He won back-to-back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year awards and made four all-defensive first teams. Add in an Olympic gold medal and a host of other accolades and you have a first-ballot Hall of Famer right there.

However, Howard isn’t technically retired. Starting in 2022, Howard has been playing in the Taiwanese League. At the end of his first season, he had captured an all-star nod and Most Valuable Import. He also earned first-team honors for both the league as a whole and all-defense. Additionally, he led the team in rebounding. Now it appears that Howard is sharing his mentality with his children.

Howard Preaches Hard Work In Gym Videos

“In the process of being GREAT it’s going to be laughs, frowns, smiles, tears, blood, and sweat but that’s what is needed for us to succeed as individuals and also collectively as a family 🙏🏾I’m just teaching my kids what it means to be resilient, to be determined and to have discipline. Every day is a battle and some battles are going to be harder to win than others, but we have to fight them until we WIN!And if we WIN the day every day we’ll never lose in the end ! We have to finish every mission we begin and follow through. That’s the most important part ! Never say you can’t! Remember Philippians 4:13 🤔… YOU CAN and you will! Just follow through. That’s how you be Great 🙏🏾,” Howard wrote on Instagram.

The caption accompanied a collection of videos of Howard putting his kids through fairly intense workouts. In one video, he leads his kids into their home gym with the caption “Me & my kids walking into the gym @ 7am every morning”. Another shows Howard encouraging his visibly upset son to push through the pain to complete a workout on a stationary bike. His kids are also seen boxing with full pads. In a calmer image, Howard is seen doing Tai Chi with his daughters. For the record, Philippians 4:13 reads “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

Method Man Flexes His Abs On Instagram, Comments Are Flooded By Thirsty Fans

Aging is a difficult part of life for some to cope with. Thankfully, due to the social media age, we’re constantly being reminded that life doesn’t begin to end after age 40. In fact, several of our favourite artists and entertainers are only getting better as they grow into mid-life, both mentally and physically. Among those constantly impressing us with their apparent ability to look younger every day is Method Man, who gave his Instagram followers a progress update straight from the gym on Saturday (June 24). In the video, the Wu-Tang star wears a white tank top and track pants, cooly lifting up his top to show off his washboard abs for the camera.

“Operation get rid of the muffin top 😩,” the multi-talent wrote in the caption, though there’s obviously no muffin top in sight. “For motivational purposes only,” Method Man added. “‘TRAINING IS COMMITMENT AND LIFESTYLE,’ POWERED BY #KILLERBEEPRE 💥 #TICALATHLETICS 🐝.” Clearly, all the hard work he’s put in has the New Yorker feeling himself, and based on the comments, it’s abundantly clear that the rest of the world is too.

Method Man’s appeal has been undeniably lately, whether at the gym or a work function. Earlier this month, Modern Family actress Julie Bowen couldn’t help but approach the legendary lyricist to let him know just how fine he is – a compliment which he graciously accepted, much to the internet’s enjoyment.

Megan Thee Stallion Hits The Gym, Serves Body, And Attends Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton Show In New TikTok Vlog

Megan Thee Stallion seems to be feeling brand new in all the best ways following a tumultuous 2022. She’s publically addressed her legal battle with Tory Lanez, making it abundantly clear that it’s something she wants to put behind her. Elsewhere, she seems to have found new love with Belgian soccer player Romelu Lukaku. Interestingly, Thee Stallion never publically confirmed a split from Pardison Fontaine. Still, she and the athlete were photographed holding hands at one of his teammate’s weddings in May.

As badly as her listeners are craving a Hot Girl Summer anthem, Thee Stallion has been clear as of late that she has no plans to drop music until she’s in a stronger state mentally. Nevertheless, that hasn’t stopped her from performing old favourites from her discography. At this time, it remains unclear when she’ll be sharing her follow-up to Traumazine. On Friday (June 23), the Houston native posted a TikTok updating followers on what she’s been up to. “Y’all miss me? Don’t ask me ’bout no dang music [right now] lol,” Megan wrote in the caption.

A post shared by Megan Thee Stallion (@theestallion)

As her vlog begins, we see her putting in work at the gym. In fact, she even revealed that she’s recently learned how to do a pull-up. Along the way, Megan hilariously pokes fun at people before heading to the spa to get a special treatment. Afterward, it was time to visit the Hermes store and pick up a new Birkin – as one casually does – before heading to Pharrell’s highly anticipated Louis Vuitton menswear debut. “So anyways, I went to the show and this ni**a look like a scammer,” she declared as the comedic clip came to a close.

In other news, it was recently revealed that Tory Lanez’s first attorney advised him against blaming Kelsey Harris for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Of course, the Canadian was ultimately found guilty in late 2022 and remains behind bars awaiting sentencing. Read our latest update on that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Willie McGinest Hit With Lawsuit Over Gym Fight

Willie McGinest is a New England Patriots legend. Drafted fourth overall in 1994, McGinest won three Super Bowls and made two Pro Bowls while in New England. A member of the Patriots Hall of Fame, McGinest holds two NFL records. McGinest’s records are for most sacks in a postseason and most sacks in a postseason game.

However, McGinest has also had his fair share of legal troubles. As a freshman at USC in 1990, McGinest and two other men faced trial over charges of battery and false imprisonment. A 23-year-old student accused the men of drugging and molesting her. However, all three men were acquitted. In 2016, one DeAndre Parks sued McGinest after accusing the former Patriot of assault and threatening behavior. Finally, in 2022, McGinest was arrested and charged with felony assault. This occurred after he was attacking a man at the Delilah nightclub in LA.

Another Lawsuit For McGinest

First reported by TMZ, McGinest is being sued once again for yet another assault. Per the lawsuit, a man is accusing the retired player and three other men of assaulting him at a gym in 2021. Andrew Cortez claims he was working out a 24 Hour Fitness in Long Beach when someone took one of his weight plates. Cortez said he wasn’t finished using them. That’s when McGinest reportedly inserted himself into the situation and hit Cortez in the face with a closed fist.

The suit also alleges that the altercation had been broken up by gym staff. Furthermore, Cortez reportedly alleges that he is still suffering emotional distress as a result of the attack. Additionally, Cortez is still dealing with the consequences of the physical injuries he suffered. The plaintiff is seeking monetary damages of an unspecified amount. However, the path forward also remains unclear. McGinest is still facing the 2016 and 2022 lawsuits. Meanwhile, he is yet to comment on his latest legal issue. This is a developing story and we’ll have any updates here at HotNewHipHop.

Kanye West & Bianca Censori Visit Chick-Fil-A Before Gym Workout

Once again, fans are curious as to every move that Kanye West and Bianca Censori are making these days. During their most recent public outing, Ye got roasted for wearing padded boots up to his knees while out for dinner with his wife. Of course, it’s nothing compared to the onslaught of backlash and due reprimands that came after his public controversies, which put him in this reclusive space in the first place. However, now fans are curious as to the couple’s balance of healthy living and fast-food indulgence. Before hitting up a gym in West Hollywood on Monday (May 15), the two hit up Chick-Fil-A for a bite first.

Kanye West fans likely squirm at the mention of the chicken chain, as it inevitably recalls the infamous lyrics to his 2019 track “Closed On Sunday” off of JESUS IS KING. Still, that’s not the only thing that caught spectators’ eyes on their stroll. Moreover, the Chicago artist wore what seemed like sock-shoe hybrids. This is notable because, just days ago, reported emerged that Kanye filed a trademark for “YZY Sock Shoes,” hinting at another product to come.

What’s more is that, despite his near-complete absence from the music world, maybe fashion is where Kanye West will return, however controversially. After all, he recently held his Yeezy Season 10 fashion show, which reportedly had Nazi ties. As such, any return from the 45-year-old likely won’t be any prettier than his most recent public reckoning. Regardless, at least he and Bianca Censori have been able to enjoy their private life, albeit surrounded by paparazzi. Hopefully that time has involved some reflection and healing before moving things back into the public fray.

Meanwhile, whether for his political troubles or Adidas negotiations, the “Off The Grid” MC is as watched as ever. Both fans and staunch detractors alike keep a close eye into his moves, an interest born out of his legacy and his mistakes. But for every bit of concerning news, something quotidian like this pops along that at least gave us a chuckle for the “Closed On Sunday” connection. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Kanye West.

The video features exercises like squats, as well as using a stair climber. In the video, Megan can also be seen drinking what looks to be protein shakes. She clarified that the goal was not necessarily to lose weight but to transform her body in a healthy way.

Megan The Movie Star?

Reports indicate that Meg may have received an offer to star alongside Ben Affleck in an upcoming film. The Safdie brothers, renowned for their work on the acclaimed film Uncut Gems, will direct the movie. The filmmakers are considering Megan for the role of Affleck’s girlfriend in the film, which is set in 1990s New York and centers around the sports memorabilia industry. Affleck portrays a former baseball player who experiences a significant comeback. Additionally, Adam Sandler and Steve Harvey are reported to have roles in the film.

The Safdie brothers earned recognition for their notable film Uncut Gems, which they released in 2019. The film had an incredible ensemble cast that included Adam Sandler, Julia Fox, The Weeknd, LaKeith Stanfield, and Kevin Garnett. The upcoming film, potentially featuring Megan Thee Stallion, will commence filming during the summer. While the release date remains undisclosed, it will exclusively premiere on Netflix. What do you think of Megan’s workout routine? Are you excited to see her starring opposite Ben Affleck? Sound off in the comments!

Jim Jones, Fabolous, Maino & Dave East Working On Gym-Inspired Album

When it’s time to get gains, rappers often focus just as much on the strength of their pen as they do on the strength of their bodies. Now, four New York MCs are teaming up to bring those two worlds together for a full project- and really show the weight of their work. Moreover, Jim Jones, Fabolous, Maino, and Dave East are reportedly working on a gym-inspired album titled Fit Lit. If you recognize that title, it might be because they released a song of the same name on Jones and DJ Drama’s collab tape, We Set The Trends.

Furthermore, this new information comes straight from Maino, who spoke to the Amazing AllHipHop Podcast. Although he didn’t share a release date, he said that the album is almost done. “I’m gonna tell you some secretive shit that I’ve never talked about,” he revealed to the hosts. “It’s actually an album that’s I’ll say 85 percent done. Me, Jim, Fabolous and Dave East. Fit Lit– it’s us together because we be working out. That’s our little Fit Lit Club. We got some heat.”

Jim Jones, Dave East, Maino & Fabolous’ Fit Lit Album Inspired By Working Out

In addition, the quartet also dropped a music video for their collaborative track, directed by Will G, Shula The Don, and Jim Jones himself. In it, all four trade bars inside the Impact Zone Fitness and Sports Performance gym in Norwood, New Jersey. Not only that, but their fits in the visual actually call back to a viral clip of Capo and Maino roasting Fabolous for his gym wear. Of course, that was ironic because just about a week later, Maino roasted Jim for his outfit while working out.

“Bro, nah, don’t take the coat off now,” Jim joked about Fab’s look. “Yo, look how he come out! We in the gym, bro! Yo bro, why we coming to work out? You got all your s**t laid out for the week?” Hopefully, that playful and friendly banter made for compelling and entertaining bars on Fit Lit. Regardless, we’re sure they’ll update us on gym hijinks along the way. For the latest on Jim Jones, Fabolous, Dave East, and Maino, stay logged into HNHH.

6ix9ine Denies Staging Gym Attack, Calls Footage “Tough To Watch”

6ix9ine just participated in his first couple of interviews since a group of men attacked him in a gym bathroom, which went massively viral. Moreover, he spoke to NBC 6 South Florida on the incident, and made some interesting remarks and reflections on it. Of course, this follows his first public statement on the attack, which was a post to his Instagram page. However, in this sit-down clip, he goes into a bit more detail on his thoughts. Like his initial message, he expressed disappointment in people being so quick to pray for his downfall.

“For me, it was tough to watch because it was so unexpected,” the 26-year-old stated. “It’s cowardly. When I look at it, I just see hate, right? Imagine being someone who doesn’t know someone from a hole in the wall. I’ll give you an example: today is the first day that I meet you, I don’t know you from anywhere, I could have heard something about you that I may have an opinion on, but I don’t know you to hate you.

6ix9ine Addresses Attack In Interview

“Does that give me the right to attack you? To ambush you?” he continued. “I think it was cowardly. I think it was opportunistic, but again I’m not mad because I know in the streets there are no rules. I’m at a loss for words because they saw an opportunity and they took it.” Before going on, he clarified that no part of the incident was staged at all.

“I think life just keeps going,” he concluded. “I can capitalize off of anything, I’m that talented. I don’t need to get beat up to sell a record.” Furthermore, his previous Instagram statement held similar weight, in which he stood by his lone-wolf behavior. “For 2 years I been walking around with no security,” he wrote. “Not saying I promote that BUT now you see I really never hid from anything. If you ever crossed my path or ever came to my house (you girls know who you are) ya can tell the world ‘Danny drives his own cars and be solo.’ You know how many of you people seen me in real life by myself in gas stations, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.” Considering his words, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on 6ix9ine.

6ix9ine Speaks Out On Gym Beatdown: “I Can’t Say They Were Wrong”

The assault of 6ix9ine in a gym bathroom rocked the media and fans everywhere, and many have waited for the rapper to respond. Finally, a bit over a week after the incident, he posted lengthy messages to Instagram addressing the issue. While many saw this as retribution for his antics and for his taunting, it also opened up a much more important conversation on the dangers of retaliatory and provocative behavior as a whole. Sure, many expressed happiness, but that doesn’t get to the heart of the issue. With that in mind, the rainbow-haired MC first had some words of gratitude.

“HEY GUYS,” Daniel Hernandez wrote on Instagram. Moreover, he captioned a video of him in the hospital, around nature, and on set as a music video for his latest track “Bori” featuring Lenier. “IM BACK THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CALLED AND REACHED OUT. I LOVE YOU GUYS FOREAL. NEW MUSIC VIDEO LINK IN MY BIO. LIVING LEGEND/LEYENDA VIVA OUT NOW. GO SHARE AND COMMENT #LAFITNESS @lenieroficial.” However, that wasn’t the end of the 26-year-old’s acknowledgement of the violent situation, or of his own instigations.

6ix9ine Promotes New Song Amid Recovery

“First time addressing the situation,” he wrote in a separate post along with a video of the attack. “For 2 years I been walking around with no security. Not saying I promote that BUT now you see I really never hid from anything. If you ever crossed my path or ever came to my house (you girls know who you are) ya can tell the world ‘Danny drives his own cars and be solo.’ You know how many of you people seen me in real life by myself in gas stations, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.

“Anyway what happen here was nothing but cowardly,” he continued. “I’m not mad this happened. In the street there’s no rules so I cant say they were wrong. Obviously it wasn’t fair but again the streets has no rules. Just imagine having nothing to do to with a situation and feel obligated to make it your business. (Very weird) I’m happy to be here still. And I want to say I love my fans. Thank you. P.S : I never knew we respected jumping people. When did that ever become a W???” With all that in mind, come back to HNHH for the latest on 6ix9ine and check out his post below.

LA Fitness Beatdown Finally Addressed

Jim Jones Does The Milly Rock In Response To 6ix9ine’s Beatdown

Tekashi 6ix9ine hasn’t received an ounce of sympathy from anyone (except, maybe, gym staff) after he got caught lacking in a gym sauna. Last week, the rapper got beat up badly at an LA Fitness in South Florida. Still, he has no plans to leave or up his security detail. However, people like Jim Jones, whose name was brought up during court proceedings, felt vindicated by the attack on 6ix9ine.

During a recent run-in with TMZ, the Harlem rapper publicly acknowledged the beat down but he didn’t really have many words to describe his feelings. Instead, he went through the evolution of dance moves from the 80s to the 2000s. Once the camera person asked him about 6ix9ine, he began to Vogue before hitting the Milly Rock. “Gotta be sturdy out here, you heard? You gotta move tactical out here,” he said as he continued to do the Milly Rock. “I don’t know, maybe it was the wrong type of gym,” Jones added before co-signing his own fitness center.

Jim Jones & 6ix9ine’s History

The ties between Jim Jones and 6ix9ine became evident throughout the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods RICO trial. Jones’ alleged affiliation with the criminal organization became a component of the trial. At one point, prosecutors played a wiretapped phone call where 6ix9ine identified Jones as the man saying, “Now he got to get violated” to one of the co-defendants. Though Jones attempted to dodge any questions regarding 6ix9ine in future interviews, he continues to face inquiries about the rapper’s antics.

Shortly after 6ix9ine’s release, he, once again, went in on Jim Jones during an appearance on Clubhouse. He argued that he did more for the associates affiliated with Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods than the Dipset. “Jim Jones wasn’t taking care of them n***as, I took care of them n***as!” he said. “On top of that, Jim Jones was caught on wiretap on my case telling the big homie Mel Matrix to go and get rid of my security. How you do it, how you shoot at ’em, they don’t got no license to carry weapons.” Though 6ix9ine hasn’t publicly commented on the beating, it seems inevitable that he’ll go after Jim Jones’ dance moves.
