Yungeen Ace Arrested For Gun Possession, Mugshot Surfaces Online

26-year-old Yungeen Ace is living through what may prove to be one of the most emotionally tumultuous weeks of his life. Shortly after sharing news of his brother’s death on Instagram, XXL reports that Keyanta Bullard was detained by police in Jacksonville in the early hours of Monday (April 15) morning. Documents obtained by the outlet reveal he’s now at Duval County Jail, where he faces charges of possessing a firearm, weapon, or ammunition as a convicted felon. His first court appearance took place on Tuesday afternoon, but at the time of publication, Ace seems to still be in police custody. At this time, other details surrounding the arrest remain unclear.

It’s obvious that the Florida-based artist was already in distress at the time, as he had only recently shared online that his brother died. “D**n big bro, you really f**ked mama up [with this],” Ace wrote on his Story. “Both my gone.” We’re unsure how the rapper’s older sibling lost his life, but his younger brother, Trevon Bullard, was the target of a 2019 drive-by shooting. Ace miraculously managed to survive being shot eight times during that incident, though the younger Bullard didn’t make it out.

Why Is Yungeen Ace in Police Custody?

All of this trauma is likely hitting the “Shots Fired” rhymer hard, especially considering how proud he felt after unleashing Forgotten Star and a new music video for the aforementioned song. The 15-track featureless LP was Ace’s first release since 2022’s Survivor of the Trenches, which included appearances from SleazyWorld Go, EST Gee, Real Boston Richey, and Rob49.

Yungeen Ace isn’t the only young lyricist we’ve seen land in hot water with the police this month. G Herbo Arrested For Illegal Weapon In Chicago During Gun Bust

G Herbo has been arrested in Chicago, IL, for illegal gun possession, as originally reported by TMZ Hip Hop. This was part of a gun bust that occurred on Sunday at about 5:45 P.M. Law enforcement sources claim they arrested G Herbo near North Wabash Avenue and East Ontario Street. Police say they found a gun and arrested Herbo, booking him for a misdemeanor for the unlawful use of a weapon in a public place.

The Chi-Town rapper is currently out on bond and will await a court date that will happen later this year. For now, he’s allowed to walk the streets of Chicago again, though it’s advisable that he be more careful about where he goes, who he hangs out with, and what he does with his free time. This is just another feather in the cap of a long legal trouble track record for the rapper. Back in 2020, he was charged with a fraud scheme in which he was obtaining luxury trips and even puppies.

For example, Utah Jazz forward Juan Toscano-Anderson recently popped up on Twitter with his take on the situation.

“Ja friends really the police,” he expressed on Twitter about the now-viral clip of Ja Morant. “Why they always recording? If ppl got they phone out recording my privacy and private time- that’s a way to never be invited around me again. However, I am mature enough to understand accountability….. Now, however, Deontay Wilder is finding himself in a legal situation. According to TMZ, Wilder was arrested on Tuesday morning while driving around Los Angeles. As the story goes, Wilder was in a Rolls Royce when it was stopped by police. Per the report, the police felt like the windows were too tinted. Furthermore, the license plate was partially obstructed. Upon the traffic stop, cops smelled weed in the car which then led to a full search. Subsequently, a gun was found and Wilder was arrested and hit with a possession of a concealed weapon charge.

Simply put, it seems like Wilder only had the weapon for self-defense purposes. “I’d rather be safe than sorry. The End,” he wrote. As someone who is incredibly famous and wealthy, it is easy to see why Wilder would want to remain protected. Famous people are oftentimes the targets of crime and theft, and a gun is seen as a way to cover your bases. Moving forward, it remains to be seen what will happen with the charges.

There was an unfortunate run-in with the law yesterday after Lil Tjay was arrested. The New York rapper was reportedly in the Bronx with his team when he was pulled over for a traffic stop. According to reports, Tjay was on his way to film a music video with the city’s rising hitmaker, Ice Spice. However, after his vehicle was searched, police allegedly located a firearm.

Oakland Rapper Kamaiyah Arrested for Bringing Gun Into Hollywood Airport

According to a report from the Burbank Police Department, Oakland rapper Kamaiyah was arrested for carrying a loaded handgun in her purse while at the Hollywood Burbank Airport.

The report from the Burbank Police reads, “Ms. Johnson was detained by TSA in the passenger screening area of the airport after an agent located a loaded handgun inside of a purse she had in her possession”. It goes on to say, “Police responded, rendered the weapon safe, and placed Ms. Johnson under arrest. It was also discovered there was a warrant for Ms. Johnson’s arrest stemming from a 2019 investigation in Burbank of a negligently-discharged firearm inside a movie theater of a local condominium complex. She was booked and held on $70,000 bail, but has since bonded out of custody.”
