Regina King Opens Up About Her Son’s Suicide

Regina King has said she has come to terms with her son’s 2022 suicide. “I respect and understand that he didn’t want to be here anymore. And that’s a hard thing for other people to receive, because they did not live our experience, did not live Ian’s journey,” King told Good Morning America. However, she also noted that his death would always be with her. “I know that I share this grief with everyone, but no one else is Ian’s mom. Only me. And so it’s mine, and the sadness will never go away. It’ll always be with me. And I think I saw somewhere, ‘The sadness is a reminder of how much he means to me,’ you know? Happy sorrow.”

King’s son, Ian, killed himself in 2022. He had struggled with depression for many years. “Of all the things that we had gone through with therapy, psychiatrists, and programs, and Ian was like, ‘I’m tired of talking, Mom,’” King reflected. The interview, which is King’s first major discussion of Ian’s death, has been met with an outpouring of love from fans.

John Wall Reveals What Stopped Him Taking His Own Life

Elsewhere, John Wall has revealed that he “put a gun to his head” on two separate occasions while battling depression. However, the former NBA star revealed that it was the thought of his two sons that prevented him from pulling the trigger. Wall told the story in order to highlight the seriousness of mental health struggles and to encourage anyone going through the same thing to seek help.

Wall was a mainstay of the Wizards for a decade after the team drafted him first overall in 2010. However, the Wizards being the Wizards, the team never succeeded in building a team around Wall despite his star power. The team made four postseason trips in ten years despite Wall blossoming into a five-time All-Star. Wall was dealt to Houston for Russell Westbrook. However, Wall has been out of the NBA since the 2023 offseason.

Megan Thee Stallion Announces New Album & Tour Amid Nicki Minaj Feud

Megan Thee Stallion has had a whirlwind the last few days. Overall, this is thanks to her song “Hiss” which took shots at none other than Nicki Minaj. Although many felt like going after Nicki would put Meg in a tough spot, it has seemingly worked out. Yesterday, Nicki dropped the track “Big Foot,” and it did not do very well. In fact, many called it one of Minaj’s worst songs with some of her worst lyrics. While Nicki stands by the track, for now, Meg has the upper hand. In fact, Meg was on Good Morning America today, where she got to make a huge announcement.

Given the release of singles like “Cobra,” and “Hiss,” it has become apparent that Meg would be looking to drop a new album. Well, that fact has been made official. In the clip down below, Meg announced that she has an album dropping this Summer. What makes this fact even more exciting is the fact that she will be pairing the release with a Summer tour. As she noted on GMA, she has never had an album out during a Summer tour. This makes the new release even more exciting for the “Hotties.”

Megan Thee Stallion Has Big Plans

Unfortunately, a release date for the album has not yet been announced. Instead, fans are simply going to have to wait for Meg to come through with that information at a later place and time. However, if this is a Summer tour, then we could expect an album in late May or early June. Of course, this is simply speculation. Whatever the case, this is an exciting announcement, and given all that has gone on, now was the perfect time to make it.

Jonathan Majors Reflects on Incident Leading to Assault Conviction

Jonathan Majors’s first interview after he was convicted of assault and harassment aired on Good Morning America on Monday morning (Jan. 8).

Speaking with Linsey Davis, Majors recalled the incident and verdict, revealing that he was “absolutely shocked and afraid.”

Majors was convicted of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault stemming from an incident with Grace Jabbari. Next for Majors is sentencing on Feb. 6. Majors is believed to receive probation, but could face a year in jail.

During the conversation with Davis, Majors revealed that he believes he is not to blame for the physical injuries that Gabbari received.

“I shouldn’t have been in the car. I shouldn’t have been in the relationship,” Majors said. “If I’m not in the car, none of this is happening. If I leave the relationship, none of this is happening. If I’m man enough or brave enough to say, ‘I want to see someone else’ or ‘I’m done now,’ I’m not in that car. We’re not here. I’m responsible for those things.”

Majros stated he was not responsible for her physical injuries, but added, “I was reckless with her heart, not with her body.”

In the interview he maintains his innocence despite the guilty ruling from the jury. He says in the interview that he was “shocked” by the verdict and that he believed the evidence was in his favor. He also uses the interview to defend a controversial leaked audio snippet. In the recording, he tells his ex-gf she needs to be more like Michelle Obama and Coretta Scott King. He stood behind the message and claimed he was just standing behind women he idolized. Check out Majors’ full interview below.

Jonathan Majors Gets Emotional In New Interview Trailer

The trailer cut off there, and viewers will have to wait for the full interview to drop on Monday to hear his response. According to his attorney, Priya Chaudhry, Majors “looks forward to fully clearing his name.” In a statement to NBC News, she explained that jurors weren’t convinced that he intentionally hurt Jabbari during their NYC spat. In security footage from the incident, Majors is seen pushing Jabbari into an SUV during an argument.

“It is clear that the jury did not believe Grace Jabbari’s story of what happened in the SUV because they found that Mr. Majors did not intentionally cause any injuries to her. We are grateful for that,” Chaudhry said. “We are disappointed, however, that despite not believing Ms. Jabbari, the jury nevertheless found that Mr. Majors was somehow reckless while she was attacking him.” What do you think of Jonathan Majors getting emotional while reflecting on being convicted of assault?
