After multiple sold-out shows Future will hit the road with a New Line Up, which includes Don Toliver, G Herbo, Mariah the Scientist, and Dess Dior.

After a three-year hiatus, Future hit the road for his Future and Friends “One Big Party” Tour this January. With the enormous global success of his last two albums, Future had a new catalog to perform for his undeniably loyal Hendrix Army. The multi-talented entertainer, songwriter, and (Freebandz) Music Executive was ready to celebrate his success with his fans. He also wanted to allow up-and-coming artists to shine via his massive audience. Along with newcomers, superstar artists such as Kodak Black, Lil Durk, Jeezy Polo G, Est Gee, and more were all part of the lineup. Adding a familiar electrifying energy in each arena, hometown stars in each city also performed.  It was magical and the perfect time to celebrate what has been a monumental streak of success for Future.

No one had a more impactful year than Future. The hip-hop icon’s “I Never Liked You” album was the highest-selling album in 2022. Future is the only artist to chart a song every week in 2022. In addition, he was Variety Magazine’s Collaborator of the year for his work with Tems, Lil Baby, Drake, and more. “I Never Liked You” surpassed one billion Spotify streams. On the personal side, his non-profit foundation, Freewishes, was recognized as one of the country’s leading philanthropic organizations servicing the youth, senior citizen community, and families in need. Indeed, there has been a lot to celebrate for the legendary artist and his Freebandz label and team.

The “One Big Party Tour” transformed into an opportunity for Future to connect with his fans on a personal level. Still, he was taken aback by all the love and support from his fanbase. The shows sold out, and the fans showed out.

“The One Big Party Tour has been life-changing,” said Future.  “It helps me connect with my fans in ways that are unimaginable. The success and energy from the shows brought such excitement that I want to continue this tour for my fans in more cities. I want to create an experience that forever stays in their memories. I will continue to expand by touring for all my fans around the world and elevate my shows across the globe each time I go out. I’m thankful to my fans for their priceless love and unconditional support! Let’s win again together as ONE.—”

Ciara Fans Criticize Teaser For Her New Track “For Da Girls”

Ciara

Ciara fans are on the fence after she dropped a snippet of her newest track, “For Da Girls,” on Twitter. While some fans shared excitement for the new song, others called her a “hypocrite” for singing about being an independent woman and not needing a man. Ciara teased fans with a minute-long snippet of her […]

50 Cent Says There’s One Rapper ‘Way Bigger’ Than Jay-Z In The Streets

Whether it be music or business, 50 Cent has never been one to hold back.

Recently the Queens-bred mogul stopped by MSNBC to chat about his career and the new deal with FOX, the 20th anniversary of his debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’, and more. During the conversation, the host talked with 50 Cent about his thoughts on Billboard’s list of the “Best Rappers of All Time,” where he placed 17th. While flattered at the nod, the rapper noted how flawed countdown lists can be and that “music marks time,” speaking to the generational rift between the OG rappers and younger ones.

50 Cent said for today’s music consumer, Future, is the more prominent artist right now compared to an older rapper like Jay-Z.

“[He’s] way bigger,” 50 said, “Like, there’s consistent music from him that didn’t chart that, huge records that people love and appreciate. Later, it may not have the same things to hold onto that you have at points.”

But not everyone seems to agree with the Power creator. Fat Joe agrees with the list and believes that Jay-Z— who earned the No.1 spot— is more relevant now than ever. While on Instagram live last week, Joe noted that many emcees who were the “gods at the time” with “flows like nobody else” fell off, whereas Jay-Z has remained consistent.

Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow Reach Major Milestone With ‘Industry Baby’, Surpassing Drake and Future

Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow’s “Industry Baby” has proven itself quite a success. The pair’s 2021 single is now the most streamed song in the 2020s, dethroning Drake and Future’s 2020 smash hit “Life is Good.” The track, which appeared on Lil Nas’s debut album, Montero, debuted at No.2 on the Billboard Hot 100 before finally reaching the top spot a few months later and earning the duo a Grammy nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance.

.@LilNasX and @jackharlow’s “INDUSTRY BABY” is now the #1 most on-demand streamed song released in the 2020s in the US, surpassing @1future and @Drake’s “Life Is Good,” Chart Data reported.

Don’t worry, though, Drake’s commercial success isn’t ending anytime soon. Earlier this month, the Toronto rap star surpassed 75 billion streams on Spotify— he’s the first artist in the streaming platform’s history. The “Rich Flex” rapper also won big at the 2023 Grammys despite not submitting any music, earning himself four nominations, including one for best melodic rap performance, that he won for his guest appearance on Future’s No.1 hit, “Wait for U,” which also features vocals from Nigerian singer Tems. The chart-topping single appears on Future’s album, I Never Liked You.

In 2019, Drake was named one of the most streamed artists of the decade, alongside other commercial juggernauts like Eminem and Ed Sheeran. It seems like no matter what he does, Drake can’t stop winning.

Jack Harlow is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

50 Cent Says Future Is “Way Bigger” Than Jay-Z In The Streets

50 Cent just said that Future is “way bigger” in the streets than Jay-Z, as hard as they may be for some to believe. However, it’s not like the talent gaps between the two are all that big nowadays. After all, they both have over a decade of experience in the game, and are incredibly influential in their own right. Still, 50 addressed the comparison (that Future himself made initially) in a recent interview with MSNBC. Overall, 50 maintained that although Jay-Z dominates commercially thanks to his legacy, the Southern pioneer has a lot of treasures to unearth.

“Yeah, yes,” the Queens MC responded to the interviewer’s prompt that Hendrix is bigger than Hov in the streets. “Way bigger. Like, there’s consistent music from him that didn’t chart that [are] huge records that people love and appreciate. Later, it may not have the same things to hold onto that you have at points.” On that last comment, it’s unclear whether he compared the two discographies or made a statement on longevity. Regardless, the “In Da Club” rapper’s point also reflects what kind of music people want to listen to now. At the end of the day, Jay is a legend, but many believe Future’s still in his prime. What’s more is that many consider him a legend already, especially due to his influence this past decade.

However, the self-proclaimed King of New York doesn’t exactly blow out the Atlanta trap icon’s numbers. In fact, it’s a pretty close race, considering Future’s wealth of Billboard Hot 100 hits across his catalog. Even if old heads might flare up in anger at 50’s comments, it’s a very specific and circumstantial question. Beyond that, what’s wrong with bumping “HOLY GHOST” these days instead of “Holy Grail”?

Regardless, it’s quite an interesting conversation, especially coming from a legend of the genre in his own right. In the same interview, Fif spoke on his early career and why the youth fell in love with his artistry. “The stuff that they see that I’ve learned, it kinda kept me out of trouble at points. The stuff I was saying in the music in the very beginning, I was crazy to tell you the truth, Ari. I was absolutely crazy at that point. Kids fell absolutely in love with me and they were in love with the wrong part of me.

“The part that won’t actually continue to be successful,” he continued. “The part that people won’t continue to be something that people celebrate. They have to turn into something bigger and better as they go with the new information and new opportunities that come because they’re really street.” However you may feel about Future and Jay-Z’s comparison, return to HNHH for the latest on them and 50 Cent.

Dess Dior Divulges On Relationship With Future

After Future and Lori Harvey ended their widely publicized relationship in 2020, he soon began a new fling. The Atlanta trap icon’s next boo happened to be fellow rapper Dess Dior. Their romance began in late 2020 and ended at some point last year. During their time together, though, Future made many wholesome gestures for Dess and her family. Whether it was getting her a massive diamond ring for 2021 Valentine’s Day or getting Dior’s mother a birthday present, Future went above and beyond.

Additionally, the couple would be seen multiple times in public. Not afraid to flaunt their love for one another, Future and Dess Dior would post on social media about one another and go out together. While dating, the two went on a double date with Lil Uzi Vert and JT, shared each other’s music on their Instagram stories, fueled marriage rumors with formal outfits, and even rapped about each other. However, Pluto and Dess seemingly called it quits in 2022. Moving on from one another, the duo still seemed to be friendly though. This proved true when Future helped promote Dess’ September 2022 EP on his Instagram story.

Dess Dior Speaks On Future

Now, both thriving in their solo endeavors, Dess still has love for Future. In a recent interview with Angela Yee, Dess Dior was asked about her current standing with her ex. In a mature manner, Dior responded that she wishes for nothing but the best for him. “We’re very very very good friends,” she said. “He always supports me and I’ll always support him. It’s not bad blood. People get the wrong idea, it doesn’t always have to end in a shit show. You know what I’m saying? Gracefully move on.”

It’s rare that we see celebrity couples break up and stay friendly with one another, but Dess assures it is because of how good of a person she is. Later in her response, Dess said there was no need for her to block Future’s number or social media, and that there was no way he could “do her wrong” because there would be no reason to. While it isn’t very likely Dior and Future would reunite, it is nice to see them be cordial and wholesome with each other.

Polo G & Future Leave Their Mark On “No Time Wasted” Single

All through 2022, Polo G proved himself with a series of solo singles and collaborative efforts. He began the year with an appearance on PGF Nuk’s “Waddup.” Following that was his own “Distraction” and later, “Bag Talk.” Other efforts to come from the Chicago rapper include “My All” and “G Nikes” with Nardo Wick.

The first weeks of 2023 found the lyricist keeping a low profile. Mid-way through February, though, he’s ready to make his mark. On Friday (February 17), the 24-year-old finally unleashed his first-ever joint single with Future, “No Time Wasted.” As REVOLT notes, the impressive effort is likely to appear on Polo’s upcoming LP with Southside.

The younger artist carries on the chorus, singing, “Uh, I know you waitin’ / Gettin’ fed up, you runnin’ out of patience / Just keep your head up, I told you we would make it / Can’t give my meds up, I see too many faces.” Like many of his other releases, Polo’s new single finds him reflecting on life in the streets while inspiring listeners with uplifting bars.

For his part, Future chiefly flaunts the beautiful women in his life and the luxuries he’s able to afford. “Run in a Porsche with some horses like I’m racin’ / Bitch so bad look photoshopped when she naked,” the Atlanta native rhymes.

At this time, it remains unclear when Polo G and Southside’s joint LP will drop. However, we do know that the duo is reportedly currently putting the finishing touches on the highly anticipated release. It will follow the former’s third studio release, Hall of Fame, which earned him a No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

Stream Polo G and Future’s first collaboration, “No Time Wasted,” on Spotify or Apple Music below. Afterward, tell us your thoughts on the joint track in the comments. Finally, check HNHH later this weekend for more release recommendations on our Fire Emoji playlist.

Quotable Lyrics:

Run in a Porsche with some horses like I’m racin’
Bitch so bad look photoshopped when she naked
Made it out the jungle where they scorchin’ and blazin’
My dog get money and I get money, it’s contagious

Polo G And Future Share Their Motivational New Song, ‘No Time Wasted’

Hot off of Future’s One Big Party tour, Polo G has teamed up with his fellow rap star for a powerful new collab. On “No Time Wasted,” Polo G encourages those around him not to give up.

Over a triumphant beat produced by Southside, Polo reminds us where he came from and that he still sees himself becoming even more monumental.

“I know you waitin’ / Getting fed up, you runnin’ out of patience / Just keep your head up, I told you we would make it,” sings Polo on the song’s chorus.

Future delivers the song’s second verse, where, more than 10 years in the game, he still is grateful for how far he’s come, and the fact that he is able to get his loved ones whatever they desire.

“Went from a trapper to livin’ like a popstar / I done got so rich, I’m feedin’ my lil’ kids caviar / My b*tch don’t want for sh*t, she get whatever she want / My shooter walk you down, stand over you, make sure it’s done.”

Polo previously teased the song in an Instagram post, where he prompted his followers to guess who would feature on the track. Also in the post, he revealed that fans can expect an “album soon.”

You can listen to “No Time Wasted” above.

JT Prays For City Girls’ Future

JT recently opened up to Angie Martinez on her IRL podcast about the future of City Girls and how she prays for its health. While they’re one of the most talked-about and beloved duos who’ve blown up recently, their profile and success means that a lot can get in the way. Still, the Miami native spoke earnestly about her career path and the love she has for Yung Miami. After discussing JT’s personal story, the conversation eventually shifted towards the state of the duo. Overall, from the 30-year-old’s perspective, their relationship is one to nurture and protect.

“Hopefully the future of the City Girls can be the City Girls,” she expressed. “And I pray that our egos does not separate it. Or the internet, or guys, or like, nothing! Sometimes I be on my s**t; sometimes she be on her s**t. You know? Like, we’re human; we’re women. We’re not girls, we’re women. Sometimes I wanna be with my man, just like sometimes she wanna be with her man. And I hope that’s not what be the reason or interfere.” However, she clarified that she’s not scared of them beefing or cutting ties in any way. Moreover, she just hopes that their relationship can keep thriving in a volatile industry. “I do not see beefin’ and breaking up with the City Girls at all. Ever! That’s just stupid. I hope we don’t get too busy.”

Even while JT faced prison time as they blew up, the City Girls support each other through thick and thin. While their bond is strong, they also gave each other space to form their own careers and individual pursuits. For example, Yung Miami broke into the podcasting and acting world. On the other hand, JT recently made strides in the lanes of fashion and beauty. On Thursday (February 9), she announced her first solo deal: a partnership with KISS Colors & Care.

“JT is the epitome of confidence and self-expression,” the company’s VP of Global Marketing Annette DeVita-Goldstein stated. “Because KISS Colors and Care celebrates creativity and style versatility, we could not think of a more iconic brand partner to represent the brand and its philosophy. We’re thrilled to have JT as our celebrity partner – she continues to be a disruptive force in the music, fashion, and beauty industries. She is bold and embraces new hair looks with confidence and authenticity, which aligns perfectly with our new styling collection.” Regardless of what they do next, come back to HNHH for the latest on City Girls.
