Conway Wishes He Could’ve Squashed Benny The Butcher & Freddie Gibbs Beef
The feud between Freddie Gibbs and Benny The Butcher was a sad sight to see. The two lyrical giants became tight comrades who collaborated on records like “Frank Lucas” and “One Way Flight” but things went left after Gibbs dished out a series of shady tweets. Benny and Westside Gunn have publicly expressed their issues with Gibbs in the past but Conway’s remained neutral throughout the drama. During a recent interview with Akademiks on the Off The Record podcast, he explained why he didn’t necessarily intervene.
As you could expect, Conway, more than any other member of Griselda, was in a weird position during the feud. “That n***a Gibbs my n***a, man. I wish that shit never happened,” he explained. “I would love to squash that. I wish I could have. If I was there, I don’t know if that would’ve happened. I’m talking about none of it – not just the shit that they talkin’ about. I’m talking about all the way – the shit that [happened] before.” Besides the largely viral clip of Freddie Gibbs getting jumped in Buffalo, Conway said that he wishes he could’ve intervened before things escalated. Still, he felt like Freddie Gibbs was in the wrong.
Conway On Freddie Vs. Benny
We’re all aware of how Freddie Gibbs moves on the Internet. It’s a trait that resulted in many feuds, including the ongoing saga with Akademiks. Still, Conway understands how Gibbs moves online, which he admits opened the doors for the issues between Griselda and the Gary, IN rapper. “Gibbs, I just know how he do, man. He’s a funny dude on that internet shit and on Twitter and stuff, man. He was wrong, I’ve spoke with people,” he continued. “Like, Gibbs my n***a regardless.”
He continued, “And Benny my cousin, I’m riding with Benny regardless of whatever happens. But if it was up to me, none of that shit would’ve never happened. None of it.” Unfortunately, the issues between Benny and Freddie aren’t something that will be resolved in the near future. In January, Freddie told XXL that he isn’t interested in ending their issues. “ I don’t care enough to solve a beef with a rapper. I don’t care enough,” he explained. “So, I don’t care to squash no beef with nobody. You could hate me forever, and that’s fine with me because you insignificant.” Check Conway’s interview above.
Freddie Gibbs Is On The Run In His New ‘Zipper Bagz’ Video
Still riding the highs of his critically-acclaimed 2022 album, $oul $old $eperately, Freddie Gibbs has shared the newest music video from the record. His latest is the Kaytranada-produced Zipper Bags.
On “Zipper Bags,” Gibbs spits fiery bars ruminating on the hustle.
“All I know is go get the bag / …post on the block, we can split the bag / Out here servin’ the neighbors, they sniff a bag / All I know is yayo and them zipper bags,” raps Gibbs.
In the song’s accompanying visual, Gibbs is seen in a motel room, seemingly hiding out after receiving a threatening voicemail. At the end of the video, Gibbs hears a mysterious knock on the door.
While Gibbs had an exciting 2022, this next year will prove even more fruitful. In an interview with XXL this past January, Gibbs revealed his currently working on four different projects.
“I’ma hit y’all with some sh*t that y’all thought y’all was ready for, but you really ain’t ready for,” he said. “Alchemist and Madlib ain’t going nowhere, so keep that in mind. And me and Boi-1da in the studio now real, real, real heavy. I’m making the best music of my life, so it’s no reason to stop. And I’m the king of R&B, so I gotta do that album as well.”
In the meantime, you can see the video for “Zipper Bags” above.

Freddie Gibbs Clowns Tristan Thompson
While loads of rappers claim a lot of talent and skill in the game, only a select few have the chops to moonlight as stand-up comedians. Freddie Gibbs is at the top of that pantheon, and he recently clowned Tristan Thompson for a TV interview. Moreover, he took to Twitter to upload a video of Thompson speaking on Kyrie Irving’s trade request. Also, he specifically spoke about potentially linking back up with his Cavaliers teammates Irving and LeBron James. “One thing about LeBron, he makes the game so simple,” Tristan remarked. “That’s why he brings the best out of Kyrie, but all his teammates. I was mad they broke the team up the first time. So, I text Kyrie, I said ‘Time to get the gang back together.’ Because it can happen on the West Coast.”
Later, in the background, you can hear Freddie say “N***a, please” and laughing in a deep-toned, fancy accent. Presumably, he made fun of the light tone of voice and charming smiles that Thompson displayed on TV. Nevertheless, that’s what many caught onto in his Twitter replies. “Why he sound so nutrasweet?” one user replied. Another commented, “I was not expecting this n***a voice to sound like this lmaoooo.”
Still, Freddie has his own take on the Kyrie trade. “Kyrie going to the lakers,” he wrote on Friday (February 3). Many seem to agree with him, but also doubt Tristan’s chances of getting on. Regardless of its implications, the revelation spread quick and brought much discussion. For example, LeBron seemingly responded to the news with a simple eyes emoji and crown emoji on Twitter.
Meanwhile, on his part, Kyrie spoke on his desires on Twitter as well. While this situation is still developing, it seems very few can escape Gibbs’ jabs. Even though he doesn’t treat his beefs seriously, to watch him dunk on another is always hilarious. Come back to HNHH for the latest on Kyrie Irving, and for the next victim of Freddie Gibbs’ sharp comedy skills.
Jim Jones Denies Fighting Freddie Gibbs At Miami Restaurant
The truth behind the infamous Prime 112 scrap involving Jim Jones and Freddie Gibbs remains a mystery as both parties continuously downplay the melee.
Jim Jones recently appeared on FlipDaScript podcast where he was certainly open to any questions sent in his direction. During the appearance, he discussed Max B, Stack Bundles, and more. However, at one point, QueenzFlip pressed the Dipset rapper about his dispute with Freddie Gibbs. “He got attacked in the same restaurant you were in. Where were you?” QueenzFlip asked Jones, who immediately denied his involvement afterward.
“I don’t remember being in any restaurant and a fight broke out,” Jones said. “I don’t like to go to them type of places where all the hip-hoppity stuff and these guys, they – you know what I mean? The big chains on and very aggressive. I’m not into that.”
“I just do music and try to stay home and stay out the way,” he continued. “These guys are actually crazy. I’m scared of most of them. Like, it’s a scary thing. You ever been in a room with a bunch of these rappers? They, like, so fucking scary. I had to hold onto my money and make sure I put it in my sock.”
Jones’ latest comes a few months following a veiled threat to leak footage of the fight. After Gibbs described the altercation as a food fight, the Dipset rapper briefly responded in a since-deleted post.
“Prime footage loadin lol,” he wrote before suggesting that it could be a career-ending moment for Gibbs. “Should I b petty or keep or player cause this shit look nasty is all I’m a say lol.”
At this point, it seems as if we might never know what really went down at Prime 112. Check out Jim Jones’ interview below.
Freddie Gibbs Performed A Satin-Smooth ‘SSS’ Medley With Anderson .Paak On ‘Fallon’
Freddie Gibbs showed off his “Aquaman lungs” on Monday night (January 23) on The Tonight Show with Anderson .Paak to perform a medley of songs from his major-label debut album, Soul Sold Separately. Gibbs’ gift for breath control is already legendary but last night, a huge audience got to witness his prowess as he blazed through satin-smooth renditions of “Blackest In The Room” and “Feel No Pain.”
Dappered down in an all-black two-piece suit, Gibbs appeared not to take a breath as he recited his rapid-fire lyrics backed by The Roots. .Paak kept his usual ’70s-inspired look, with a fur-cuffed jacket and his signature cabbie hat, brushing the dirt off Gibbs’ shoulders.
Although Soul Sold Separately (and its recently-released deluxe edition) is barely half a year old, Gibbs refuses to rest on his laurels. He recently revealed that he’s currently working on as many as four albums at once, including his oft-teased R&B album.
Watch Freddie Gibbs’ late-night performance on The Tonight Show above. He’s also expressed a wish to branch out dramatically with more film and television roles after the positive reception for his feature debut, Down With The King, so don’t be surprised if the next time we see him with Jimmy Fallon and the gang, he’s sitting on the couch with that 1,000-watt smile beaming.

Freddie Gibbs & Ice-T Are Disappointed After 21 Savage’s Explosive Clubhouse Comments
21 Savage’s recent appearance on Clubhouse left Freddie Gibbs and Ice-T shocked. The Her Loss rapper hopped on the platform where he engaged in a heated argument over Chicago’s murder rate, basically leading to a potentially incriminating admission.
“Every n**a that we beef with, 30 of they n***as get smoked and don’t nothing happen to us!” he said.
Following the recent crackdown on Atlanta gangs, 21 Savage’s comments left many disturbed that he’d make such a claim on a highly publicized platform.
“N***az arguing over who killed the most n***az on clubhouse,” he wrote alongside a facepalm emoji.
Ice-T chimed in on Gibbs’ tweet afterward. He said that he feels law enforcement created Clubhouse as a tool to nab criminals. “I actually think that app was created by the police. Especially for Dumb MFs,” he added.
21’s comments also led Atlanta-based journalist, George Chidi, to share some advice. Chidi has closely followed the YSL RICO trial, as well as the ongoing investigations in Atlanta.
“Rappers who think APD and the attorney general’s office don’t listen to Clubhouse are talking in a public forum on recorded audio about committing murders,” he wrote. “Gentlemen. Stop living in a Key & Peele sketch.”
Rappers in Atlanta are clearly being monitored heavily these days. During Young Thug’s trial, the judge read his lyrics from “Slime Shit” aloud in court. Though his defense team attempted to have the lyrics dismissed from evidence, a judge has yet to rule on the motion.
Freddie Gibbs Says He’s Working on Four Collab Projects, ‘I’m Making the Best Music of My Life’
Freddie Gibbs is well known for his collab projects with producers such as Alchemist and Madlib. His 2020 project Alfredo even earned him a Grammy nomination and was credited as one of the best albums of that year.
Following the release of his last critically acclaimed album Soul Sold Separately, Gibbs said that he’s working on four collab projects now, noting that he’s making the best music of his life.
Gibbs shared info on his forthcoming projects in a new interview with XXL. He said that he’s working on albums with Madlib, Alchemist, Boi-1da, and hinted at a possible R&B album.
“Imma hit y’all with some shit that y’all thought y’all was ready for, but you really ain’t ready for,” he said. “Alchemist and Madlib ain’t goin’ nowhere, so keep that in mind. And me and Boi-1da in the studio now real, real, real heavy. I’m making the best music of my life, so it’s no reason to stop. And I’m the king of R&B, so I gotta do that album as well.”
Even though Gibb’s didn’t name a fourth producer, there’s some speculation that the fourth project might be with a rapper. Elsewhere in the interview, the SSS artist said that he’d like to work with Jay-Z and Lil Wayne, and Kodak Black and Future, who he called his “current favorite artists.”
Previously, Gibbs even said that he wanted to do a collab album with Tyler, The Creator in an interview with Rap Caviar.
“Cha-ching, gimme my money! We could do it, Tyler!” Gibbsa said. “I’m gonna call his mama and make it happen…I always loved Tyler, that’s like a little brother to me…I love Tyler, man, he’s such a f**king weirdo. Like, how can you not love a guy like that?”
