Drake Let His Son Adonis Rap On ‘Daylight’ From ‘For All The Dogs’ And Fans Can’t Get Enough Of It

Drake’s new album For All The Dogs is full of surprises. The first one fans noticed was when the album didn’t drop at midnight, but instead arrived at 6 a.m. ET today (October 6). In terms of the project itself, fans were delighted to see Drake’s 5-year-old son Adonis Graham get his own verse at the end of the song “Daylight.”

The boy raps, “Don’t talk to my man like that / I like it when you like it / My, my, my, my man / My, my, my, my man / Don’t talk to my man like that / I like it when you like it / My, my, my, my man / My, my, my, my man / You know which one you want / I don’t care which one you want / You can take whatever / I don’t care what you do / I will always, watchin’ for you.”

Listeners immediately loved Adonis’ appearance. The kid became a trending topic on X (formerly Twitter) after the album’s release.

Popular streamer Kai Cenat was also pumped to hear Adonis as he listened to the album live:

Adonis, of course, has been heavily involved in the album, whether he’s illustrating the cover art or co-starring in the “8AM In Charlotte” video.

Check out some more reactions to the Adonis verse below.

J. Cole Used Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs’ To Address His Alleged Beef With NBA YoungBoy

There have been rumors lately that J. Cole and YoungBoy Never Broke Again are beefing. Cole, though, made a guest appearance on Drake’s new album For All The Dogs, in which he seemingly puts the rumors to rest.

On “First Person Shooter,” Cole raps, “I still wanna get me a song with YB / Can’t trust everything that you saw on IG / Just know if I diss you, I made sure you know that I hit you like I’m on your caller ID.”

As for what’s going on here: In 2021, it was reported that NBA Youngboy had a studio session with Cole scheduled, but he apparently made Cole wait for 8 hours and never actually showed up. YoungBoy claimed at the time, “They lied and said I stood J. Cole up. They lied, they said I ain’t wanna go in the studio with him. That wasn’t even the case. I was going through something so what the f*ck I’ma go in this man’s studio session for a meet up with him, knowing that I ain’t in a mode to talk or just to be in the mode to f*ck around. What the f*ck I’ma go around this man if I know I ain’t in a mood to talk to nobody or sit there, or even be around somebody.”

Fast-forward to earlier this year, when YoungBoy rapped on “F*ck The Industry Pt. 2,” “J. a ho, that n**** played it cold like he was gon’ do a feature / So I texted his line a muscle sign, I swear it’s gon’ be nice to meet you.”

Last month, Cole featured on Lil Yachty’s “The Secret Recipe” and rapped, “N****s makin’ threats and I laugh, that’s ’cause you ain’t a threat / Don’t ask how I feel ’bout no rappers, sh*t, they OK, I guess / Incomin’ call, press the button, the one that say accept / He FaceTime to ask for a feature and saw the face of death / I’m on your song, your streams goin’ up, not quite the Drake effect / But don’t complain, b*tch, take what you get and cut the label check.”

While that was widely interpreted as being about YoungBoy, Cole’s manager Ibrahim Hamad wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “I’m pretty sure this is [cap]. Not sure how y’all heard that cole verse and put that together, impressive.”

Drake Says He’s “Not Going To Make Music” For A Little Bit To Focus On His Health

With the release of For All The Dogs, it seems like Drake might be preparing to slow down on music. The Canadian rapper’s been on a prolific run since 2021, releasing four albums in a little over two years. Add to the fact that Drake has been on tour all summer, we can imagine that the rapper needs some time to unwind. During his recent episode of Table For One, Drake revealed that he would be stepping back from music.

Drizzy explained that he’s faced some health issues over the past few years. “I’ll probably not going to make music for a little bit, I’mma be real with you. I need to focus on my health, first and foremost,” he said. He explained that he’s had issues with his stomach that he needs to focus on. “I need to get right, I have a lot of other things I would love to focus on so I’m going to lock the door on the studio for a little bit,” he added. “I don’t know what a little bit is. Maybe a year or something. Maybe a little bit longer.

Drake Will Take A Step Back From Music

It seems as though Drake has been thinking about taking a break from music for a while. Earlier this year, the rapper sat down with Lil Yachty and explained that he’s pondered the idea of a “graceful exit.” “Well, I think like on a broader scale, I think I’m at the point now where I just wanna, like—I feel like maybe we talked about this the other day—but I feel like I’m kind of introducing the concept in my mind of a graceful exit,” he explained.

He added that he’d continue to pop up and perform here and there but he wouldn’t force himself to compete. Most recently, he teased his fans when performing in Miami and declared that he’d be stepping away from music before telling them that he’s “just playin’.” Regardless, it seems as though Drake needs to shift his focus for a bit and we can’t blame him. Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs’: Here Are All The Features And Producers On The Album

The journey toward Drake’s For All The Dogs lasted a bit longer than expected. After announcing it over the summer during his It’s All A Blur Tour with 21 Savage, rumor had it that the project would initially arrive on August 25. Well, Drake later announced an official release date of September 22 for For All The Dogs, but he was later forced to delay it to October 6, in order to complete the project and not cancel any tour dates to do so.

At long last, as promised, Drake delivered For All The Dogs on October 6. It was made available to stream at 6am EST as opposed to the traditional time of 12am EST, but nonetheless, the album is here. It features 23 songs and appearances from Teezo Touchdown, 21 Savage, J. Drake Unveiled The Tracklist For ‘For All The Dogs’ But The Collabs Are Still Hidden

Drake‘s eighth studio album, For All The Dogs is almost here. He is dropping the anticipated album tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. EST with very little promotion — only a slight tease in his poetry book and a reveal of the album artwork drawn by his son, Adonis. Additionally, he shared a video yesterday morning for a song called “8AM In Charlotte,” in which, Adonis makes a cameo — and he’s previously shared “Slime You Out,” a collaboration with his once-lover, SZA.

Today (October 6), Drake took to Instagram to reveal the tracklist, just hours before the album is scheduled to drop. While Drake is known for his collabs, the tracklist does not reveal any featured artists. Perhaps he is pulling a Travis Scott, who didn’t reveal the collabs on his fourth album Utopia until after its official drop.

So far, we do know that SZA will appear on “Slime You Out,” but your guess is as good as ours, regarding the others.

Drake Says “For All The Dogs” Will Drop At Six In The Morning, Shares Tracklist

The Six God is taking the number six to another meaning. Drake took to Instagram just now to announce that his highly anticipated album For All The Dogs, is still set to drop on Oct. 6, however it won’t be available for streaming at midnight like most albums with a Friday release date. Instead, it will drop at 6 a.m., according to an Instagram post he made. Drake fans now have a reason to be up bright and early! “For All The Dogs. October 6. 6 a.m. (Sorry to all my streamers),” Drake wrote in the caption. In addition to this announcement, he also shared the tracklist for the project and credits for the executive producers, audio mixers, and sound engineers who were part of the project.

An intriguing addition to the credits is NBA star Kevin Durant, recognized as an A&R collaborator. The tracklist encompasses an impressive 23 songs, notably void of any visibly listed features, leaving listeners curious about potential surprise collaborations. The names of the songs are wild. “What Would Pluto Do,” “BBL Love Interlude,” and “Rich Baby Daddy,” are just a few of the song titles that catch the eye. Additionally, previously released tracks, “Slime You Out” and “8AM In Charlotte” appear on the list. Mere hours ago, Drake dropped “8AM In Charlotte,” along with an accompanying visual. Notably, the video features an appearance by his son, Adonis, who broke down the album cover drawing and sang along with his dad.

Kanye West Fans Thinks He Could Drop An Album Tonight To Compete With Drake

One of the most anticipated albums of the year is right around the corner and fans think Kanye West could try and compete. After an entire summer of teasing, Drake’s For All The Dogs is almost here. Earlier this year he released the song “Search & Rescue” which debuted at number 2 on the Hot 100. He did even better with his next single “Slime You Out.” For the track, he recruited SZA for their first-ever collaboration. Fans rewarded them by sending the song straight to the top of the charts. With its debut at number one, SZA became the first artist of 2023 to reach the top spot on the Hot 100 with two different songs.

Overnight Drake dropped yet another tease towards the album with “8AM In Charlotte.” It featured an elaborate music video and introduction by his son Adonis whose drawing will serve as the album’s artwork. Despite a lack of any real evidence, Kanye West fans think that he might be cooking something. Many people think that certain lyrics in “8AM In Charlotte” were intended as a Kanye diss, which would reignite years-old beef between the pair. Some online believe that the best way West could hit back would be by surprise releasing a new album on the same day as Drake’s. Check out some fan theories below.

Will Kanye West Drop A New Album Tonight?

Speculation around Kanye’s new album has begun to swirl in the past month. Video emerged earlier this week of him allegedly getting emotional during a listening party for the album in Italy. That followed rumors that he was making new songs at a “rapid pace” in order to drop a new album.

Tons of Kanye material has recently leaked onto the internet. Everything from a music video with Nicki Minaj, behind-the-scenes clips of him calling out Pusha T and Cardi B, and new songs with verses from Jack Harlow have made their way public. Do you think Kanye West is planning to drop his new album tonight? Let us know in the comment section below.

Drake Fans Suspect NBA YoungBoy Shade On “8AM In Charlotte”

Drake dropped off his new track “8AM In Charlotte” last night, and it’s managed to spark a ton of chatter online. So far, fans are digging the song, and can’t wait to hear more when For All The Dogs drops tonight. There’s also been some buzz around the accompanying music video, which features Drake’s 5-year-old son, Adonis. The boy describes the story behind the project’s cover art, which he created himself.

The song has also gotten some social media users speculating about who a few of Drake’s bars were aimed at. Some think he went after Kanye West, rhyming, “We all gotta lay in the bed we make, but that couldn’t be Drake/ You forced a lot of fake love when real ones stood in your face/ That’s why you got deserted by your n***as like pudding and cake.” Now, users have turned their attention to other lines from the song, in which they believe he dissed NBA YoungBoy.

Drake Seems To Call Out NBA YoungBoy On New Song

“You young boys take some of that money and set it aside/ Not havin’ enough to pay your tax is a federal crime,” he raps. NBA YoungBoy previously shaded him on his track “F*ck The Industry Pt. 2,” which he released in May. “Talk to Drake, cross FaceTime, he wasn’t feelin’ me/ Told me that he f*ck with Durk, damn, that sh*t gettin’ to me/ Told me that he like the sh*t I’m doin’, but can’t do sh*t with me/ So when we cross our ways, f*ck what you say, b*tch, you my enemy,” he rhymed.

Fans Speculate That Drake Dissed NBA YoungBoy

Though Drake’s NBA YoungBoy diss remains a theory, YB did take to social media recently with some scathing words. Many thought they were a response. “Try again b*tch a** n***a,” he wrote. Do you think Drake dissed NBA YoungBoy on his new song? Check out some reactions down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Drake and For All The Dogs.

Is Drake’s ‘Scary Hours 3’ Coming Soon?

Even with Drake’s newest album just hours away from release (theoretically), it looks like his fans can’t help but speculate about what else he’s got up his sleeve. While For All The Dogs is scheduled to drop this Friday, October 6 (less than twelve hours away as of this writing), there’s already a rumor going around that the third installment of his EP series Scary Hours is already on the way. As with many Drake rumors, it started with a cryptic post of his on social media — in this case, an Instagram Story reading, “Scary Hours for those who remain sleepless after all these years… shall we begin?”

Is Drake’s ‘Scary Hours 3’ Coming Soon?

Considering that Drake had to make a choice between finishing his tour and finishing For All The Dogs (choosing the album and pushing back its release date in the process), it seems unlikely that Drake has been simultaneously working on a second project. After all, such a release would probably only take attention from his new album — something that would be pretty counterproductive after the months he’s spent seeding excitement for it.

However, given the timing of the post, it was more likely a last-second promo for his new single “8AM In Charlotte.” Considering his propensity for the late-night recording sessions that often spawn his so-called “timestamp songs,” he was probably hyping fans up its release. Of course, given Twitter users’ fondness for deciphering clues (even ones that aren’t there) and taking practically everything literally, it seems that the figurative “scary hours” — i.e., Drake’s favored time for wrapping up projects with these freestyles — were mistaken for a reference to the Scary Hours EPs. He had certainly been teasing one back in June 2022.

Either way, it’s looking spooky out there for Drake haters as he preps the launch of his eighth studio album, just weeks before Halloween.

Who Did Drake Diss On ‘8AM In Charlotte?’

At midnight (October 6), Drake will finally deliver his For All The Dogs album. (He’s supposed to, anyway.) He has already released “Slime You Out” featuring SZA, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and warned an ex-lover, “I’m slimin’ you for them kid choices you made.” But “8AM In Charlotte” might be taking more acute aim at someone.

The new song arrived early Thursday, October 5, exclusively on Drake’s Instagram page. Throughout, Drake name-drops the likes of 21 Savage (his It’s All A Blur Tour co-headliner), Central Cee, Shania Twain, T.D. Jakes, and Lauryn Hill, but it’s all in a playful light. In fact, there aren’t any explicit disses at all, but fans have a theory that the third verse is a veiled shot at Kanye West.

“Conspiracy theories start floatin’ ’round like the Kennedy guy,” Drake raps. “I’ll prolly hold a grudge against you guys ’til I’m seventy-five / Ayy, n****s lyin’ for a livin’, I couldn’t relate / We all gotta lay in the bed we make, but that couldn’t be Drake / You forced a lot of fake love when real ones stood in your face / That’s why you got deserted by your n****s like puddin’ and cake / I got you on camera bowin’ down, but the footage is safe / Thank God, another USB to put in the safe.”

On X (formerly known as Twitter), people have correlated these bars to a video of Drake bowing down to Ye after bringing him out as a guest during his Summer Sixteen Tour. There’s also the outside chance that the mention of “conspiracy theories” and “lyin’ for a livin’” is related to his beef with Pusha T and Ye that crescendoed in 2018 with the public reveal of Drake’s son, Adonis. (Is it a coincidence that the “8AM In Charlotte” video stars Adonis?)

At any rate, Lil Yachty teased that Drake “deals with some controversial things” across For All The Dogs, and “8AM In Charlotte” might fall under that umbrella.

For All The Dogs is out 10/6 via OVO Sound. Find more information here.
