Chandler Jones Arrest Video Shows NFL Player Rambling About His Career, Making Bizarre Requests Of The Cops

TMZ has released the arrest video from Chandler Jones’ arrest for violating a domestic violence protection order last month. Jones was approached by police officers while parked outside the home of his ex-girlfriend. “I want you to grab me and take me out. Please,” Jones could be heard saying before trying to explain why he was outside his ex’s place. “I’m sorry about this. The reason why I’m here is because I was taking out her trash, and I was just dropping off the dumpster in the backseat. No problem.”

However, Jones grew more agitated as he was arrested. “Look at me. I’m 6’5. I’m a professional athlete, bro. I have 112 sacks — I play for the Raiders,” Jones said when officers tried to place him in a squad car. “Sir, can you take me to jail, sir? Because I’ll make louder noises, and make a sheriff come out here. Take me to jail now, or I’ll make louder noises,” he said later. However, he grew more agitated still. “Sir! Oh my God! I need help! Help! Give him the key!”

Jones Arrested For Second Protection Order Violation

However, it wasn’t long before Jones found himself back in a cell. Earlier this month, Jones was once again arrested in Las Vegas for the violation of a domestic violence protective order. Details about the arrest were not immediately made available. However, the arrest came three weeks after Jones was initially detained on the same charge. In that instance, Jones was accused of going to a woman’s home, taking several personal items from her yard, and then burning them on his property.

Jones’ first arrest came after a turbulent series of posts on social media. After a livestream in which he burst into tears after saying Aaron Hernandez didn’t kill himself, Jones shared a positive interaction with Antonio Brown before leaving social media to go to a strip club. He was reportedly arrested for violating a domestic violence protective order and posted bond later on Friday. Jones had a court date in early December concerning the first arrest. This remains a developing story and we’ll have any updates as they emerge.

During Chiefs-Chargers this weekend, CBS pointed out that Travis Kelce’s yards per game more than double when Taylor Swift is in attendance. It’s an amusing stat, if a little inaccurate. Yes, Kelce is averaging 108 yards per Swift-attended game compared to 46.5 yards in the games the singer didn’t attend. However, it’s a data set of four games against a data set of two games. Furthermore, a majority of his Swift-attended stats can be attributed to his two most recent games – monster performances against the Broncos (124 yards) and Chargers (174 yards). Before the Broncos game, Kelce hadn’t cracked 70 yards in a game. Furthermore, the games Swift didn’t attend include a 26-yard showing in a defensive slugfest against the Jaguars. Fun, but not exactly statistically significant.

Regardless, both Kelce and head coach Andy Reid appeared pretty tickled by the notion. “Hard for me to wrap my head around that sentence,” Kelce noted about the graphic. “Kelce keeps getting better with time — Taylor can stay around all she wants,” Reid joked at his post-game press conference. The Chiefs are next in action on the road against Denver.

However, it’s not been all fun and games for Travis Kelce. Speaking with NBC, his brother Jason expressed some concerns about the amount of media attention Travis’ relationship has been getting. “It’s certainly been weird, the level that it is now. On one hand, I’m happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that he’s excited about [and] that he is genuine about. But there’s another end of it where it’s like, ‘Man, this is a lot.’ There’s paparazzi talking about him fueling his car before the game today and I’m like, ‘Is that really necessary information to share?’ This is another level of stardom that typically football players don’t deal with,” Kelce told NBC Sports this past weekend.

Travis Kelce is perhaps the most spotlighted player in the NFL right now thanks to his relationship with Taylor Swift. While Jason also said that he was fine with Travis getting the attention as long as it didn’t jeopardize his safety, it may have already reached that point. Kelce reportedly recently purchased a new home in a gated community, in part due to the level of attention his current home received from paparazzi and fans. While nothing untoward has happened yet, it does feel as if the fever pitch is about to break.

Of course, Jason isn’t just speaking of turn. Traylor, also known as Trayvis, is the hot celebrity pairing right now. Last week, fans of Swift mobbed a restaurant in Connecticut because a fan account claimed the couple was lunching with Blake Lively. Outlets, this one included, report every single interaction no matter how small. Kelce and Swift can’t do normal couple things like kiss or hold hands without someone making it front-page news.

Even Kelce himself has spoken out about it. “I think it’s fun when they show who all is at the game. I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you’re watching. But at the same time, I think they’re overdoing it a little bit for sure. Post-game, the super couple was seen walking out of the tunnel interlocking hands. You have seen tons of headlines like these because this is not the first time the two have held hands. Essentially, he averages around 100 yards per game whenever she shows up. However, when “left to his own devices,” he is only able to muster an average of 46.5 yards per game. Although some may find these stats to be a “reach,” there is something to be said about a man who wants to impress his girl. Demarcus Robinson Victim Of Gunpoint Robbery, Thieves Make Off With $100K Of Jewelry

Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was reportedly the victim of a gunpoint robbery in Los Angeles earlier this week. Law enforcement were called to a robbery outside a hotel in Los Angeles and told that two men had threatened the 29-year-old with a firearm. Robinson had handed over $100K in jewelry, including an expensive watch.

A fourth-round pick in 2016, Robinson was a role player for the Chiefs until 2022. He was briefly signed by the Raiders, who cut him during training camp. However, he spent the 2022 season in Baltimore before signing with the Rams ahead of the 2023 season. Robinson is yet to make an appearance for the Rams after appearing in all 17 games for the Ravens last season. The Rams host the Steelers this weekend, with Robinson expected to be with the team. Furthermore, the police investigation into the theft remains a developing story.

Elsewhere in the NFL, an undrafted Bears rookie is set to make history this weekend. With Justin Fields out with a dislocated thumb, Chicago will start Tyson Bagent against the Raiders on Sunday. Bagent played four years at Division II Shepherd University in West Virginia and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Bears this year. A former Harlon Hill Trophy winner, Bagent joins a rare class of Division II players at the pro level. He’s just the fourth DII QB to start an NFL in the past 20 years and the first since 2010. John Kitna (Central Washington) and Todd Bourman (St. Cloud State) were the last DII QBs to start an NFL game.

Meanwhile, the Raiders will also be starting backup Bryan Hoyer after Jimmy Garoppolo was ruled out. However, both teams are absolutely battered when it comes to their injury reports. This makes the game the first true “injury bowl” of the season. Furthermore, a win for Vegas will help them cement their place as the second-best team in the AFC West behind the runaway Chiefs. Luckily for them, the third-place Chargers have to face the Chiefs at Arrowhead this weekend.

Roger Goodell Receives Three-Year Extension From NFL Owners

Roger Goodell will remain NFL commissioner until at least 2027 following a vote to approve a three-year contract extension at the NFL Owners’ meeting. “It really was quite simple, honestly. It was just a matter of getting to it, frankly. It wasn’t much of a discussion. It was pretty quick. I’m obviously honored to do this job,” Goodell said of the process leading to his extension. While the details of the new contract were not made public, it is believed to be the most lucrative in the history of league commissioner contracts, regardless of sport. Furthermore, Goodell’s contract likely contains a wealth of incentives tied to the league’s continued financial success.

Goodell took over as NFL commissioner in 2006 and has helped launch the league into the stratosphere in terms of financial and cultural success. One of this most recent achievements has been helping achieve the inclusion of flag football in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. However, it has not been smooth sailing. Several major scandals have overshadowed the league and Goodell. The most notable of these was the actions of former Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder. Snyder’s behavior ended up putting the NFL in front of Congress. However, Goodell has been able to weather each and every storm with minimal disruption, making him very valuable to the owners.

Goodell Speaks On The Future

“From my standpoint, there’s still a number of things that we want to do as a league. It’s not my agenda. When we talked about a long-range plan [with owners], we talked about, ‘this is your long-range plan’. Listen, there are a lot of challenges out there, but there are also a lot of opportunities for us. We’re focused on how we make the NFL better every day, how we become a global sport. I think some very exciting things are happening in that context. I feel really good about where the National Football League is today, but we don’t sit around and tell ourselves that. We really focus on the things that we need to do.”

Furthermore, Goodell, 64, was non-committal about whether this fourth contract extension would be his last. “We will see what the future holds. Other than that, over the next three years, I’m going to bust my butt,” Goodell said. If one had to guess, Goodell will likely take a short-term extension to see the league through the 2028 Olympics before stepping down. Goodell first joined the NFL in 1982 as an administrative intern under Commissioner Pete Rozelle.

Travis Kelce took some time on the latest episode of his podcast to joke about Taylor Swift meeting his dad. “If you were watching the game, you saw something momentous happen — which was Taylor Swift talking to Ed Kelce,” Travis’ brother Jason said. “He shouldn’t be talking to Taylor Swift,” Jason continued. “That is a terrifying conversation, I feel bad for Taylor,” Travis chimed in.

Jason explained that the (playful) fear stemmed from the fact that their father could be a bit of a conversational wildcard. “Talking to mom, alright that’s gonna be fine. If you see dad talking to anyone and you can’t hear what’s happening, who knows where that conversation is going,” Jason explained. However, the brothers quickly confirmed they were joking, with Travis calling Ed “the best fucking dad in the world”.

Kelce And Swift Make SNL Appearances

Meanwhile, Kelce and Swift made their first public appearance as a couple over the weekend. The couple made surprise cameos on the first post-strike episode of Saturday Night Live this weekend. The couple were spotted dining at Nobu before the episode, which was hosted by Pete Davidson and featured Ice Spice as the musical guest. Swift’s appearance came during the musical guest segment when she appeared to introduce the performance by Ice Spice and Rema.

Meanwhile, Kelce made an appearance during a skit about his relationship with Swift. Appearing as himself, the skit was themed around an NFL broadcast trying not to talk about Taylor Swift. The episode was the first for the show since the end of the historic writer’s strike last month. Davidson served as host, fulfilling the gig that was canceled in May just after the writer’s strike began. Meanwhile, Ice Spice teamed up with Rema to perform their hit “Pretty Girl”.
