Travis Hunter, the best football player in college football, was awarded the coveted Heisman Trophy on Saturday night (Dec. 14) in New York City with Coach Prime and son and Colorado quarterback Sheduer Sanders in attendance. In two years with Colorado, Hunter has produced some of college football’s greatest highlights ever as a two-way player at Wide Receiver on offense and Cornerback on defense. The 21-year-old (#12) was among four candidates, winning with narrow voting results. Overcome with emotion, the Colorado star thanked those who supported his journey. “I thank God, man. I never thought I’d be in this position,” Hunter said during his acceptance speech.

During his emotional speech, Hunter paid tribute to his father, Travis Hunter Sr., who couldn’t attend the ceremony. “Dad, I love you,” he said. “For all the struggles you went through… now look at your oldest son. Many NFL fans on social media have been calling for the league to suspend its business ties with Jay-Z after a woman accused him of allegedly raping her at an afterparty for the 2000 MTV VMAs when she was just 13 years old. She brought the allegation in an amendment to a previous lawsuit she filed against Diddy. While both Jay-Z and Diddy have already denied the story, some NFL fans have been calling for action.

“Hey @NFL Jay Z got a weird case why he’s still around?” one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote on Sunday. New York Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor reportedly tried to get police to evict his ex girlfriend, Draya Michele, from the Los Angeles home he bought for them. Moreover, there are a lot of conflicting claims here, primarily the idea that they had an arrangement in which Michele would rent out and eventually purchase the property. But it seems like once she started dating Houston Rockets hooper Jalen Green, Taylor changed his mind and allegedly filed an eviction lawsuit against her. However, Michele claims that he never properly served her, so she suffered a default judgement. As you can probably tell, it’s all pretty complicated right now. But Mase and Cam’ron are here to make it easy for you.

Moreover, the two addressed this situation on their sports talk show It Is What It Is, roping in the highly publicized relationship between Draya Michele and Jalen Green. Mase posited that, if Michele has a new boyfriend in Green, then he should be the one who lets her stay over, not Tyrod Taylor. Cam’ron seemed to agree, but he couldn’t help but understand why the basketball player would want to keep Michele at a distance.

The Detroit Lions (10-1) host the Chicago Bears (4-7) on Thanksgiving Day at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS, marking the Lions’ 85th Thanksgiving game since 1934. Playing their 38th Thanksgiving game, the Bears have a strong holiday history against Detroit, winning three straight matchups in 2018, 2019, and 2021. Detroit, meanwhile, seeks its first Thanksgiving win since 2016.

The Lions enter the game as the fourth team since 2000 to play on Thanksgiving with at least 10 wins, joining the 2015 Panthers and 2011 Packers. For the first time in franchise history, Detroit has firmly positioned itself as an NFC powerhouse, with back-to-back 10-win seasons.

Quarterback Jared Goff has been stellar on Thanksgiving, throwing six touchdowns without an interception across three games. He aims to join Hall of Famer Brett Favre as the only player to throw multiple touchdown passes in their first four Thanksgiving appearances.

Detroit’s ground game is also rewriting history. Running backs David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs are the first pair of teammates with at least ten rushing touchdowns each in consecutive seasons. Additionally, the Lions have scored a rushing touchdown in 25 consecutive games, an NFL record.
