Fivio Foreign Flexes His Several Remarkable Accomplishments On His ‘God Did’ Freestyle

Just less than a week after DJ Khaled dropped his 13th studio album, God Did, Fivio Foreign has shared a freestyle of the album’s title track. Despite only putting out one major label album, Fivio has become one of the most prolific rappers in the game right now, by way of his several guest verses.

The Brooklyn drill rapper has collaborated with several of hip-hop’s heavy hitters, and he lists some of his most notable collabs in his freestyle.

“I did Drake / I did Ye / I did Nas / I did Alicia Keys / I did Mary J. Blige / I did Nicki Minaj / I went verse for verse with the top legends and survived,” he raps.

He also takes time to remind us that he has a fan in none other than the Queen Bey herself, Beyoncé.

“I even sampled one of Beyoncé’s best,” he raps, referring to the fact that he sampled Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name” on his B.I.B.L.E. cut, “What’s My Name?” He also shouted Bey out for using one of his catchphrases, “demon time,” on the “Savage” remix with Megan Thee Stallion.

Elsewhere in the freestyle, Fivio thanks Khaled for coining the “God Did” catchphrase on a song called “B.I.B.L.E. Talk” from Fivio’s B.I.B.L.E. album.

Fivio Foreign Takes The Viral Energy Worldwide In His Spicy ‘London Freestyle’

When Fivio Foreign says “viral” and “movie” one cannot help but believe him. He takes his cinematic disposition on the road in his new video for “London Freestyle.”

Fivio Foreign is coming off of an incredible last 12 months, starting with his alliance with Kanye West evolving into their Donda collaboration “Off The Grid” also featuring Playboi Carti. They joined forces once again, this time with Alicia Keys for NYC anthem “City Of Gods” which kickstarted the momentum for Foreign’s debut album B.I.B.L.E. The LP featured the likes of Quavo, Coi Leray, A$AP Rocky, Lil Yachty, Yung Bleu, and more.

Prior to B.I.B.L.E and much like his recent run, Fivio was primarily known for big collaborations and those remain to this day. Just this year he has linked up with Chris Brown for “C.A.B,” City Girls for “Top Notch,” and Nicki Minaj for “We Go Up.” One can only imagine if fans and Fivio himself could have foreseen such a banner year after his 2019 breakthrough single “Big Drip” and being one of the first to innovate the Brooklyn drill wave.

Drake surely took notice when he tapped the “bulletpoint rapper” along with Sosa Geek for “Demons” in 2020, but the Drake feature only puts artists under more pressure to sink or swim. Fivio Foreign has his breaststroke and freestyle intact, as shown in this new record.

Mase Offers Clarity to Fivio Foreign’s Advance: “I Gave Him $750K”

Mase Offers Clarity to Fivio Foreign's Advance: "I Gave Him $750K"

Mase heard Fivio Foreign state he received a $5,000 advance from signing to him and offered clarity to the situation in a conversation with the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.

Speaking with Gillie Da Kid and Wallo, Mase gave an update on what exactly Fivio received, a second payout of $750,000.

“At one time, I gave him $5,000, but I gave him $750,000,” Mase said. “Because I set him up to do a deal to where I can control the deal, make the deal what it should be because I knew if he had the leverage, he would go in there and sell both of us out.”

He added, “Then, when we went in the building, I took $800,000 and he took $700,000. The reason why it went down to $700,000 is because when I gave him $750,000 and I took $750,000, he owed me $50,000.”

Mase stated the $50K was an investment into Fivio career before taking him to the record label. Fivio’s deal is with Mase’s RichFish and Columbia Records.

In a previous episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Fivio Foreign stated a friend introduced him to Ma$e and he signed a deal without a lawyer present. The deal was only giving Fivio an advance of $5,000.

“The n*gga that brought me to him was like, ‘Yo, man. Just sign that shit You buggin’,” Fivio revealed. “So I just signed it. Advance was $5,000.”

Fivio would reveal at the moment, he was in need of the money. “That shit ain’t last two weeks.”

Fivio is still in the deal with Ma$e but revealed that the former Bad Boy rapper “know the business. He really know the business a lot.” He would go on to add he is in a better situation, and while Ma$e gets a cut, Fivio insists he has control of his money. You can hear it all below.

Mase Denies Giving Fivio Foreign A Minuscule $5,000 Advance, Saying They Split Everything 50/50

The 20-year feud between semi-retired Harlem World rapper Mase and his former mentor Diddy took an unexpected twist last week when it was revealed that the two men might have more in common than previously imagined by fans. Mase was dubbed “Diddy 2.0” after burgeoning Brooklyn artist Fivio Foreign appeared on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast and claimed that he’d only received a paltry pittance of $5,000 to sign to Mase’s RichFish imprint early in his career.

Mase, who claimed that Diddy only gave him a $20,000 dollar advance in the ’90s in exchange for signing away his publishing, must have thought that he looked bad in light of passing on the misfortune to another artist. So this week, he went on Million Dollaz Worth Of Game himself to clear the air and explain that the situation wasn’t as bad as Fivio made it out to be. According to Mase, the real amount he offered was actually much larger — about $745,000 larger, in fact.

“I had to put a file together of all the history that was left out,” Mase says in the video above. “At one time I gave him $5,000, but I gave him $750,000.” He elaborates that he structured Fivio’s RichFish deal so that he could remain involved as Fivio negotiated contracts with major labels such as Def Jam and Columbia. Mase then proceeds to show hosts Gillie Da Kid and Wallo267 documents on his phone — even going as far as calling execs at Columbia on the air — that show that he tried to be fair to Fivio and give him 50/50 on all their splits.

Of course, what with Fivio admitting he didn’t know the business well at the time, it’s entirely possible that he misunderstood how things worked (it’s happened before and will likely happen again). It’s also possible that Mase is flimflamming in order to make himself out to be the hero of the narrative. As with any of these situations, the facts are likely somewhere in the middle and the details are being muddled in the retelling. In the end, I think the big takeaway is that the music business needs some serious overhauls to ensure transparency and fairness for artists and the business people who help make them stars.
