Finesse2tymes & Erica Banks Trade Shots Over Their Short-Lived Relationship

Dating is hard enough for the average person, but the love lives of celebrities are particularly volatile due to the nature of their work. Constantly being in the public eye would take a toll on anyone, but having your looks, career moves, and relationships constantly scrutinized by both the press and social media causes many stars to keep their personal life private. While some famous couples do manage to make it to the endgame together, others – such as Finesse2tymes and Erica Banks – cut ties after just a few weeks.

The pair spent a few weeks together last September, though it wasn’t long before the 90 Days hitmaker posted up with another woman online. Since then, he and Banks have been known to trade shots back and forth online, though their beef reached new heights on Friday (March 10). At the time, Finesse sat down on The Breakfast Club to explain why he and the “Buss It” artist ultimately went their separate ways after such a short time.

Finesse2tymes Tells His Side of the Story

“The age thing, that’s what I didn’t understand,” he began, referencing the six-year age gap between them. “You know, I’m a man! When I wake up in the morning, my woman get up, ‘cuz it’s time to cook, it’s time to have some sex, it’s time to clean up,” Finesse further explained. “When you get up and get on your phone, I don’t like that. Don’t get straight on your phone when you around a man.” According to the southern rapper, a woman’s job is to take care of her partner first, then she can scroll through social media.

Seeing as she’s allegedly chronically online, it wasn’t long before Banks clapped back at her former lover. “This man crazy,” she wrote on her Story while reposting Finesse’s interview with TBC. Shortly after she went Live on IG, breaking down what happened from her point of view for curious followers.

Erica Banks Claps Back

“There’s a difference between a good woman and a maid,” the 24-year-old’s rant began. “There’s a difference between a good woman, and a ‘do girl.’ You get where I’m going? With Finesse, he wants a servant.” Banks then addressed Finesse’s comments about her using her phone immediately after opening her eyes, pointing out that she conducts most of her business through her cell. “I’m about to get up, make sure everything’s straight, check on my people, check on my account, and then we can get up and talk about what you wanna eat for breakfast.”

The rap diva told listeners, “This n*gga want a servant who can get on they knees and kiss his toes. I’m just not that girl! It’s somebody out there for him to do that, it just ain’t me.” Banks also made it known that she still thinks the Memphis native is a “good person” and “funny,” but knows that they’re not meant to be together. GloRilla & Finesse2Tymes Concert Sees Third Stampede Death: Report

As a newcomer in the mainstream, this is supposed to be a carefree season for GloRilla. The Memphis hitmaker moved from a social media personality to a viral star to a certified rapper signed with Yo Gotti’s CMG. Her “F.N.F.” single took over social media, and as GloRilla has been traveling the world and amassing new fans, she’s been hit with a tragic setback. She was performing at a concert in Rochester, New York, with Finesse2Tymes when audience members believed they heard gunshots. Soon, people were pushing toward the exits.

The surge caused a stampede as the crowd ran for cover. It was just as the show was ending around 11:00 p.m.; however, an investigation uncovered that there weren’t any shots fired. Rhondesia Belton, 33, and Brandy Miller, 35, sadly died as a result of the incident. Forbes reports a third woman, 35-year-old Aisha Stephens, has also succumbed to her injuries.

The Venue Has Shut Down Following GloRilla & Finesse2Tymes’s Show

The Rochester Main Street Armory has also been under scrutiny after people reportedly called the venue a “death trap.” The Huffington Post reported that the City of Rochester refused to renew the Armory’s entertainment license. An investigation into its regulations is also ongoing, as well as if there will be criminal charges in the future. Additionally, authorities are inspecting the building for any code violations.

This event has caused Travis Scott’s scandal to be reintroduced. The Astroworld tragedy continues to be tied up in litigation, but it isn’t forgotten. A crowd surge involving thousands of fans caused ten people to lose their lives while several more were injured. Scott was blamed for the incident but denied culpability. Lawsuits have emerged from victims’ families, and the ordeal has caused artists to be more accountable for how they navigate fans in distress.

Uproxx Bar Stories is back! This time, Finesse2Tymes stops by to break down his viral hit “Back End,” which he previously performed on UPROXX Sessions.

“I knew this song was gonna be what it was gonna be when a number-one sensation on TikTok reposted it,” he explains. “It felt like success. I knew I was going to the top and it felt like I accomplished what I set out to accomplish in 90 days.” He also leaves with the promise that his “album is coming soon.”

Finesse2tymes hails from Memphis, Tennessee, where he was closely associated with fellow Memphis breakouts Blac Youngsta and Moneybagg Yo. However, despite gaining traction before the pandemic with his mixtape Hustle & Flow, his career was nearly derailed by a five-year prison sentence in 2018 for possession of a firearm by a felon.

With his release in July of 2022, though, he hit the ground running, dropping “Back End,” which became a TikTok hit, and releasing his mixtape 90 Days in December. The project peaked at No. 57 on the Billboard 200, and clearly, he’s just getting started. 2023 is looking bright for him.
