Yung Gravy Isn’t Suing Festival After Taking A Nasty Fall

A few weeks ago Yung Gravy had what looked like a pretty serious fall during a performance. He was playing at Alabama’s Hangout Music Festival when he tripped over a wooden plank while addressing the crowd. Video of the incident went viral and given how particularly nasty the fall looked fans were curious what happened. In the days following he revealed that he suffered multiple fractures as a result.

Thankfully, he seems to be in good spirits and when TMZ caught up with him recently he filled in some more details. He told cameras that despite it being his own fault he tripped, that Hangout Festival was generously covering his medical bills resulting from the fall. This probably has something to do with his decision not to pursue any kind of legal action against the organizers of the Hangout Fest. The festival was the very first stop on Yung Gravy’s summer tour but despite his injuries he continued performing and hasn’t cancelled any shows. He’s set to appear at Lollapalooza, Bonaroo, BottleRock, and more festivals over the next few months.

Yung Gravy’s Painful Trip

Aside from Yung Gravy’s fall Hangout Fest seemed to go on without any other issues. Headliners like SZA, Lil Nas X, and GloRilla performed at the fest and fans online seemed to enjoy it. Yung Gravy is coming off a 2022 where he scored his biggest hit to date with “Betty (Get Money).” Unfortunately, the song’s prominent sample of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” might have cause more trouble for Gravy than it was worth. Earlier this year it went public that Gravy was being sued by Astley for his use of the song.

Yung Gravy dropped his 4th album “Marvelous” last year. Despite that, he has been busy in 2023 so far already releasing a number of tracks. Included in the bunch if the bbno$ featuring “Goodness Gracious,” as well as “Strawberries & Creamin’” which dropped just last week. Gravy also hopped on a remix of ARTAN’s TikTok hit “She’s A 10 But…” earlier this year. What do you think of the rapper’s choice not to sue Hangout Fest? Let us know in the comments below.

Jermaine Dupri Denies Janet Jackson Dating Rumors

As Janet Jackson’s together again tour continues, she has been joined by her musical counterparts. So far, she has been joined by Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, and newly added Lil Kim on an upcoming date. Last Month, Jermaine Dupri’s appearance stirred a new set of rumors about the former couple. Jermaine Dupri has shut down those rumors.

Jermaine Dupri caught up with HipHopDX this past weekend in a new interview at the Lovers & Friends Festival. Additionally, the topic at hand led to dating rumors. Following his appearance at her Together Again tour, the topic became a leading discussion point. The discussion started with a game listing a series of couples. When his former relationship ended up being part of the game, he responded “exes.” When asked further, Dupri responded “All exes.” This was his way of shutting down the burning question at hand.

Jermaine Dupri’s Latest Interview

Moreover, Jermaine spends additional time with HipHopDX to call out the lack of media attention being put on his young protegee Young Dylan. “I’m the young man game giver. But everybody keeps saying it’s a young man’s game. So if it’s a young man’s game then why hasn’t —  you know, if it is and all these different sites claim – like AllHipHop, they claim it’s all Hip Hop. But they ain’t posted a Dylan record. The Source is supposed to be the source of Hip Hop,” Dupri said. Jermaine has notably been an advocate for young talent. His So So Def label included major young talents such as Da Bratt, Bow Wow, and Kris Kross early on. His 2011 tv show The Rap Game also put the spotlight on young rappers. Jermaine continues to have the same passion for Young Dylan.

Furthermore, fans still hold on to the possibility of Jermaine possibly rekindling his old flame with Janet Jackson. As Jermaine seemingly denied the claims, their undeniable chemistry continues to reignite the rumors over the years. As Janet is still on tour, fans also anticipate who she will invite to the stage next. Do you want to see Jermaine Dupri start dating Janet Jackson again? Let us know in the comment section below.

Busta Rhymes Receives Praise From Jim Jones For His Chain

It is no surprise that musicians run into each other frequently during festivals. This past weekend, The Lovers & Friends festival was packed with some of the industry’s best performers from the ’90s into modern-day music. Surprisingly, Busta Rhymes has had time to partake in the festivities from his busy performance schedule. Additionally, he received praise for his jewelry of choice.

This past weekend, Rapper Jim Jones ran into Busta Rhymes in a brief exchange. Jim noticed the size of Busta’s gold Cuban link chain and praised him. In a video captured by HIPHOPDX, the friendly exchange was led with a handshake and exchange of words. Additionally, Jim notices the chain placing his hand on it with immediate praise. “That s*it look bigger than daytime,” he said. Subsequently, Busta laughed it off. “That “s*it” look like it’s growing,” Jim added.

Moreover, Busta Rhyme’s appearance at Lover’s & Friends is only one of many recently. Earlier this week, he reunited with legendary singer Janet Jackson. The two performed their 1998 hit song “What’s It Gonna Be?” during the New York stop of her Together Again tour. Additionally, this performance is the first time they performed the song together during the 25-year span. Fans were able to capture the historic moment on social media. Following the performance, Busta took to Instagram to show appreciation to Janet.“Tonight was one for EVERY HISTORY BOOK!! FIRST TIME EVER THE WORLD GOT TO WITNESS THE BEAUTIFUL QUEEN @janetjackson & Myself perform ‘WHAT’S IT GONNA BE’ IN 25YRS SINCE THE CREATION OF THE SONG FROM THE ‘EXTINCTION LEVEL EVENT’ ALBUM At @thegarden,” he said. “Thank you Queen for having me tonight and being apart of this Dream Coming true. I’m forever Grateful and I love you sooooo much. Happy Early Bday Queen and Happy Mother’s Day and Happy 25yr Anniversary to our Classic.”

Furthermore, Busta Rhymes remains one of the most sought-after legends in Hip- Hop. His reunion with Janet Jackson makes a permanent stamp in Hip-Hop history. He continuously includes his larger chains as a statement piece. Additionally, the music video for the song still remains one of the most expensive hip-hop videos in music history.
