Spotify’s All-RapCaviar campaign concluded today, crowning the fan-voted MVP and Rookie of the Year winners. Among the MVP nominees, which included Metro Boomin, 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, and Lil Baby, Drake emerged as this year’s MVP.

The rising star, Destroy Lonely, took home the coveted All-RapCaviar Rookie of the Year title, beating out other talented nominees like Ice Spice, Central Cee, GloRilla, and Luh Tyler.

Drake and Destroy Lonely now join Coach of the Year winners Pierre ‘P’ Thomas and Kevin ‘Coach K’ Lee of Quality Control Music to complete this year’s All-RapCaviar campaign. The initiative brings together and celebrates the best rappers in the game. Summer Walker Seemingly Confirms Split With Lil Meech

When Summer Walker and Lil Meech went public with their relationships, fans couldn’t get enough! While the linkup between the R&B songstress and BMF star was unexpected, the internet quickly accepted the love affair as fans could only sit back and wish for the best.

Now, it seems Summer Walker is fed up with Lil Meech’s shenanigans. Sharing to her 5.7 million followers on Instagram, the “Girls Need Love” recording artist shared her thoughts on Instagram Story: “Tried my best to be jayda wayda but I couldn’t.” This seemingly alludes to Jayda Cheaves’ relationship with Lil Baby, which ended up in a split.

In fact, Jayda entered the chat on The Shade Room, commenting, ““I learned my lesson after ONE kid. Mfers round here starting they own trends and tryna INSERT ME in for laughs on the shade room. NO ”

Summer Walker continued on her Story: “It was cute though, I wish him the best.”

On the next slide, Summer Walker confirmed by writing, “Can’t do that cheatin stuff.”

To further fuel the fire, Summer Walker proceeded to post a 54-second clip from her interview with Yung Miami, touching on what she won’t put up with in a relationship.

Just earlier this month, a woman named Tiffany Marie DM’ed Summer Walker on Instagram, claiming she was pregnant with Lil Meech’s child. She wrote, “Hey girl, I just wanted to come to you woman to woman before I go to the blogs. Me and Meech have been seeing each other for the past four months and now I am pregnant. He blocked me on social media so I can’t even reach him and he changed his phone number. So maybe you can relay the message since he decided to ghost me.”

Meech then took things into his own hands, responding to Tiffany via Summer’s IG. He wrote: “Bitch, why are you lying. This meech. You don’t know me. Stop playing before I have somebody at your job.”

Sadly, this wasn’t the first time Meech had been caught in infidelity. And now, looks like Summer Walker is moving on to bigger and better things.

Pee-wee Herman Actor Paul Reubens Dead at Age 70

TV star Paul Reubens, best known for his work as Pee-wee Herman, has died at age 70. He died after a bout with cancer.

“Please accept my apology for not going public with what I’ve been facing the last six years,” a statement reads on Reubens’ Instagram page. “I have always felt a huge amount of love and respect from my friends, fans and supporters. I have loved you all so much and enjoyed making art for you.”

“Last night we said farewell to Paul Reubens, an iconic American actor, comedian, writer and producer whose beloved character Pee-wee Herman delighted generations of children and adults with his positivity, whimsy and belief in the importance of kindness,” wrote Reubens’ estate in the caption. “Paul bravely and privately fought cancer for years with his trademark tenacity and wit. A gifted and prolific talent, he will forever live in the comedy pantheon and in our hearts as a treasured friend and man of remarkable character and generosity of spirit.”

Reubens joined Pee-wee’s Big Adventure in 1985.

Philadelphia To Host World’s Largest Breakdancing Competition

On Saturday, August 26th, Philadelphia will be center stage in the world’s largest breaking (or breakdancing) competition, as the prestigious Red Bull BC One competition concludes its 2023 U.S. run with its annual National Final and Red Bull BC One Camp. The weekend will convene the nation’s best in breaking, including regional winners and runner-ups from the Orlando, Minneapolis, and New York qualifiers, and a line-up of esteemed invited contestants (wildcards).

Competitors will go head-to-head in a knockout tournament for the opportunity to be crowned the Red Bull BC One U.S. B-Boy and B-Girl champions, and secure their spot in the road to the Red Bull BC One World Final 2023 in Paris, France, taking place on October 21st at the Stade Roland-Garros Stadium.

Leading up to the main event, Red Bull will host a series of panels, workshops, and battles led by some of the best names in breaking and hip-hop. Celebrating the diversity of breaking culture and its contribution to hip-hop, programming will include a battle workshop hosted by top Dutch breaker and 3x Red Bull BC One World Champion Menno, a Pride in Break couch session with LGBTQ+ breakers including B-Girl Rascal Randi, B-Girl Beta, B-Boy Dosu, and B-Boy Wicket, and a Bonnie & Clyde exhibition battle.

As the competition sets its sights on the historic 20th edition of the Red Bull BC One World Final and the golden anniversary of Hip-Hop on August 11th, the 2023 Red Bull BC One season celebrates Red Bull’s legacy in breaking and over two decades of supporting the global break community.

Multi-platinum rapper/producer Vic Mensa has released “Eastside Girl,” his third major song of the year, via Roc Nation. Vic teamed with fellow Grammy-nominated rapper, singer, and producer Ty Dolla $ign for the house-influenced anthem, tapping into his long running love affair with the genre that began with his evergreen fan favorite 2014 single “Down On My Luck” (he recently showcased his skills as a DJ in a clip where he mashed up the two songs here). Speaking of the innate chemistry of the collaboration Vic states, “Ty is one of my favorite musicians and people to collaborate with. I pulled up to his studio to give him some of my weed brand 93BOYZ and he was working on a bunch of House music. I’ve been wanting to return to House ever since I made ‘Down On My Luck’ so it just made a lot of sense. Ty had played the guitar line already and it was giving me a surf-rock vibe so I started going a California direction with the lyrics then I programmed some House drums and samples. We were really just smoking and vibing and Eastside Girl is what came out.”
