The incident went down at Dream Hospitality Group’s party at The Stafford Room early Sunday morning. TMZ obtained footage showing Cardi enjoying herself, dancing and vibing to the music, oblivious to any potential drama. But that quickly changed when the DJ gave an unexpected shoutout to Offset, announcing his presence in the building. According to eyewitnesses, Cardi seemed startled by the mention, as fans wondered why her ex was at the same venue.

While Cardi was busy twerking and partying like Offset wasn’t even there, fans noticed the tension, especially since the two exes kept their distance throughout the night. Offset stayed on the opposite side of the room, and despite the club being packed with partygoers, the couple avoided any direct interaction. Eyewitnesses confirmed that Cardi and Offset didn’t arrive or leave together, nor did they hang out while at the event. Their time overlapping at the club was brief, with Offset slipping out solo, leaving Cardi to continue the night without any disruption.

Fans, however, aren’t buying that this was a coincidence. Many have accused Offset of stalking Cardi, questioning why he showed up to the same club she was at despite their divorce proceedings. The speculation comes just weeks after Cardi officially filed for divorce in July, requesting primary custody of their children.

As for the couple’s future, only time will tell, but for now, the tension between the two shows no signs of cooling off. Fans remain divided—some rooting for reconciliation, while others believe the best path forward for both rappers is to keep their distance.

Miami Beach Planning to Rescind Diddy’s Key to the City

Diddy has already lost the key to New York City but will also lose his honor in Miami Beach. According to TMZ, Miami Beach officials are in the final steps of rescinding Diddy’s Key to the City.

The exact cancellation of Dddy’s honor is currently in the air with the threat of Hurricane Milton this week. Diddy was awarded the key by Miami Beach mayor Philip Levine in 2015 at the Revolt Music Conference.

In June, Diddy returned New York City’s Key to the City following a request from Mayor Eric Adams.

Mayor Adams expressed deep concern over a video involving Cassie, prompting him to ask for the prestigious honor back. TMZ obtained letters sent to Diddy’s offices in New York and Los Angeles, detailing the Mayor’s dismay over the incident.

After Mayor Eric Adams stated he would check into revoking Diddy’s key to New York City, the city council urged him to do so.

In case you missed it, in 2023, Diddy received the key from Mayor Adams, who now states he was “deeply disturbed” by the video.

“The committee and team have never rescined a key before, but we are now sitting down to see what the next steps forward are going to be,” Adams said to Pix11. “We are taking everything under analysis and the team will come back to me with a final determination.”

In a statement to TMZ, council member Sandy Nurse says, “Mayor Adams should immediately revoke Diddy’s key to the city. As an abuser, Diddy lost his right to have such an honor and should be held accountable for his actions. Mayor Adams should set the example and take it away.”

Council Member Shaun Abreu added, “Mayor Adams should snatch back Diddy’s key and slam the door behind him. We won’t be missing you.”

2016 footage from the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles shows Diddy beating Cassie in the hotel’s hallway.

In the video released by CNN, Diddy is seen running down the hotel hallway in a towel to catch Cassie as she attempts to leave in an elevator. Diddy throws Cassie to the floor by her neck, followed by kicks, stomps and an attempt to drag her down the hall by her hood.

Cassie attempted to use a hotel phone, but Diddy pushed it to the ground again. Later in the video, he throws a vase at the singer.

Cassie’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, released the following statement: “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”

Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs, is speaking out against the charges against her son, referring to them as a “public lynching.” Combs expressed her views in a conversation with Page Six.

“It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies,” Janice shared.

“To bear witness what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words. Like every human being, my son deserves to have his day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence.”

She added, “I am not here to portray my son as perfect because he is not. He has made mistakes in his past, as we all have.

“My son may not have been entirely truthful about certain things, such as denying he has ever gotten violent with an ex-girlfriend when the hotel’s surveillance showed otherwise.”

The actress is objecting to appearing in court later this month and providing extensive financial documents, escalating tensions in what has become a contentious legal battle.

Court documents obtained by In Touch reveal that Berry, 58, is contesting Martinez’s request for her to attend a hearing on October 22, arguing there is no legitimate reason to compel her presence. Berry’s lawyer filed objections, pointing out that Martinez, also 58, has sought to delay hearings multiple times, claiming he lacked the resources to pursue discovery until a court issued a fee order. Despite these claims, Berry’s legal team accuses Martinez of launching an “aggressive and extensive” financial discovery process that they argue goes beyond what’s necessary for post-divorce proceedings.

According to Berry’s recent filing, Martinez demanded documents covering 70 categories spanning multiple years, requests that her legal team calls “overly broad in time and scope.” Berry’s lawyer stressed that her historical financial information has no relevance to the current issues being contested in court, particularly regarding needs-based legal fees.

The filing further alleges that Martinez’s demands are “unduly burdensome, harassing, and a waste of time and resources,” with Berry’s attorney emphasizing that the scope of the requests exceeds the matters at hand. The actress believes she shouldn’t be forced to incur additional legal fees to produce what she deems irrelevant documentation.

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez, who finalized their divorce in late 2023, have been locked in a complicated legal battle since then. Their ongoing custody issues, which include financial disagreements, have drawn considerable attention, with Berry fighting to protect her privacy and limit the extent of financial discovery.

On this day in 1992, Chicago Hip-Hop legend Common, who was known as “Common Sense,” released his debut LP Can I Borrow A Dollar? Common delivered a debut that can be set apart from any other album he’s released. As one of Chicago’s first mainstream Hip Hop albums, this album exhibits an unorthodox approach to conscious rap. With very little connection to the boom-bap scene thriving in New York, Common was able to forge his unique style and stand out among a sea of Afrocentric, for-the-cause MCs, subsequently putting Chi-Town on the map.

It was Common’s isolation and hunger that drove this project to be as prolific as it is. After winning the title of ‘Unsigned Hype’ from The Source Magazine, Common quickly rose to the ranks of new artists. His unique status brought him a record deal and the ability to take his out-of-pocket flow and poetic wordplay to the mainstream. The simple production from his four-headed beat machine of No ID, Twilite Tone, and The Beatnuts was the perfect alley-oop for Common to showcase his lyrical prowess. In no way could the instrumental outshine anything Common was saying, creating a full album. Along with the lack of any “big name” features, that proved that this album was the beginning of a bright and illustrious career.

Commercially and critically, the project was slept on. Only peaking at#70 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop charts and selling well under platinum standards, this album was underappreciated until Common had officially proved himself as one of the greats. The album’s singles “Take it EZ,” “Breaker 1/9”, and “Sound by the Pound” were all top 10 hits on the Rap charts but had very little crossover success. However, this album is retrospectively loved, appreciated, and recognized as a Golden Era classic. Can I Borrow A Dollar? was a peek into the future. Common’s immense success in household name stems from his ability to go against the tide without ruffling any feathers. He stands out while simultaneously fitting in, and today we celebrate his debut.
