Ty Dolla $ign Flexes After ‘Vultures’ Repeats on Top of Billboard: ‘Not the 2’

Ty DollaSign

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have gone back-to-back on top of the Billboard 200. Hitting X, Ty had a swift message: “Not the 2.”

Billboard notes the album will take the top spot behind 75,000 equivalent album units moved in the second week. Vultures 1 is now the first album from West to spend multiple weeks at the top spot since his Watch the Throne album with JAY-Z.

During the tracking week ending on Feb. 22, Vultures 1 accumulated 75,000 units. Of these, 72,000 units were attributed to SEA (streaming equivalent albums), reflecting a decrease of 44% and totaling approximately 95.25 million on-demand official streams for the album’s songs. Meanwhile, album sales contributed 2,000 units, experiencing an 89% decline, and TEA (track equivalent albums) units accounted for 1,000 units, down by 25%.

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s Vultures 1 album has taken over the Billboard Hot 100. Last week, all 16 tracks from the album have made the chart.

The highest charting single was “Carnival,” debuting at No. 3. “Fuk Sumn” hit No. 23.

Just over two weeks after the album’s release, the impact on rapper Ty Dolla $ign has been noteworthy. The analytical department at NLcasinospot reports that the artist has attracted even greater audience interest than prior to the release of his joint album with Kanye West. Research shows that before the first single, he had 7,502,765 Instagram followers, but today, that number has climbed to 7,611,206—an increase of more than 100,000 in just two weeks! This represents a commendable achievement.

On this date in 2001, Slum Village producer Jay Dee changed his name to J Dilla and released his debut solo album entitled Welcome 2 Detroit. The 16 track BBE distributed LP featured otherwise unknown artists from Dilla’s hometown such as Elzhi and Phat Kat among others.

Although it is a solo album, on several cuts, such as the first single “Pause”, Dilla takes a backseat and lets others command the mic. Dilla also sings the lead vocals on his cover of Donald Byrd’s “Think Twice”, which also has Motown crooner Dwele playing the keyboard and singing background vocals.

Salute to the late beat making icon J Dilla and the rest of his BBE family for bringing Hip Hop such an unforgettable classic!

[WATCH]’Where is Wendy Williams’ Producers Reveal They Knew Nothing About Dementia

wendy

Over the weekend, the highly anticipated “Where is Wendy Williams?” documentary aired on Lifetime, offering viewers an intimate look into the life of the former daytime talk show host. However, what began as a documentary exploring the whereabouts of Wendy Williams took a shocking turn when it was revealed that she is suffering from alcohol-related dementia.

The revelation came as a surprise to many, including the producers of the documentary, who insist they were unaware of Williams’ condition when they began filming. According to ETonline, producers Mark Ford and Erica Hanson defended their project, emphasizing the extensive legal and ethical measures taken to ensure the documentary was handled with care and sensitivity.

Speaking with ET’s Kevin Frazier, Ford and Hanson explained that multiple lawyers were involved in the process, along with Wendy Williams’ manager, Will Selby, to ensure that the documentary was produced in a fair and respectful manner. Ford emphasized that every individual on Williams’ side of the equation, including attorneys and publicists, signed off on the project after detailed conversations with their legal team.

Despite initial skepticism from Williams’ family, Ford and Hanson stated that they eventually gained their trust and involvement in the documentary. While it took some time for the family to feel comfortable with the project, they ultimately became directly involved in sharing their side of the story, which Ford described as essential to the documentary’s exploration of Williams’ life and struggles.

“It turned out that they weren’t there in the beginning, but there were conversations pretty soon after we began in which we started having that conversation with them directly,” Ford explained. “And it just, of course, it took time for them to trust the project, trust us. But ultimately, we felt it was so essential that we — there was no way we’re gonna, we were going to proceed with this without the family completely on board.”

The “Where is Wendy Williams?” documentary has sparked conversations about mental health, addiction, and the ethical considerations surrounding documentary filmmaking. As viewers grapple with the shocking revelation about Williams’ health, the documentary serves as a poignant reminder of the complexities of fame, fortune, and personal struggles in the public eye.

Kanye West Says Adidas is Suing Him for $250M While Dropping Fake Shoes in His Name

Kanye West George Floyd

Kanye West is not here for the sale of the new Yeezys. After the brand announced a new stock drop at the end of the month, Kanye hit the net with a message, stating he was sued.

“Not only are they putting out fake colorways that are not approved, they are suing me for $250 million,” Ye said. “And they also not paying me for these shoes they are putting out that has my name on it.

“They are using contract clauses and 50 years of business experience to rape an artist – one of y’all favorite artists – right in front of y’all in broad daylight.”

According to Complex, Adidas announced the remaining release of its Yeezy stock on Feb. 29. The “Steel Grey” Yeezy Boost 350 V2 will be available for $230 by using the Confirmed app, Adidas app, or Adidas.com.

Adidas also teased additional sneakers, showing an image with silhouettes of the Yeezy Foam Runner, the Yeezy 500, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2, and the Yeezy Slides.

Meanwhile, Kanye West delivered a message to fans to not buy them. “Anybody who loves Ye would not buy these fake Yeezys [.] I never made these color ways [.] I’m not getting paid off of them and adidas is suing me.”

You can see his full statement below.

In Sept. 2023, Ye received words of support from Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden. In an interview, Gulden stated he doesn’t believe Kanye West is a bad person.

“And then as creative people he did some statements which wasn’t that good,” Gulden said. “And that caused Adi to break the contract and withdraw the product. Very unfortunate because I don’t think he meant what he said and I don’t think he’s a bad person it just came across that way.

“That meant we lost that business. One of the most successful collabs in history — very said. But again, when you work with third parties that can happen. It’s part of the game.”

Adidas reports a revenue of $437 million in the first release of leftover Yeezy sneakers from their nixed deal with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West. The first run of shoes hit online in June, selling out. The second run began to sell on Wednesday.

The sale of the sneakers was the efforts to empty their inventory responsibly. After the first launch, CEO Bjørn Gulden said, “We will continue to carefully sell off more of the existing Yeezy inventory,”

Adidas has also announced the donation of over 10 million euros to groups like the Anti-Defamation League, the Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change, and Robert Kraft’s Foundation to Combat Antisemitism.

According to Billboard, 20% to 25% of the stock was unloaded in the first sale.

Legal Docs Allege Argument Between Diddy and Justin Combs Led to Man Being Shot

https://www.tmz.com/2024/02/26/diddy-sued-sexual-assault-man-male-rape-harassment-lawsuit/

Diddy is being sued by Rodney Jones, a producer on The Love Album, who states he was sexually assaulted and harassed by the mogul.

In the court docs, Jones detailed Justin Combs as a recruiter for underage girls and prostitutes. He also stated Diddy and his son engaged in an intense argument, which led to gunfire.

According to TMZ, a man named G was shot in the stomach. Jones states Diddy told the man to lie about the incident and say he was injured in a drive-by.

An LAPD investigation happened, resulting in the belief the victim was shot outside the studio and ran inside with his injuries.

You can read details of the entire lawsuit here. Jones is seeking $30 million in damages.

Diddy Sued by ‘The Love Album’ Producer for Sexual Harassment and Assault

Sean 'Diddy' Combs Rebrands Combs Enterprises to Combs Global as Business Portfolio Expands

Diddy is once again the subject of a lawsuit. The legal documents obtained named Stevie J, Yung Miami, Cuba Gooding Jr., and has a lengthy list of defendants.

According to NBC News, Diddy is being sued by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, who claims to have lived and traveled with the Bad Boy Records mogul from Sept. 2022 to Nov. 2023. Jones claimed he has hours of video and audio of Diddy and his staff participating in “serious illegal activity.” He is seeking $30 million in damages.

Jones was hired to produce songs on Diddy’s latest Grammy-nominated album, The Love Album: Off the Grid.

Jones states in addition to working as a producer, Diddy forced him to find sex workers and also pressured him into sex acts for his pleasure. Jones also states Diddy would hand out laced alcoholic beverages at his house parties.

For recruitment of sex workers, Diddy allegedly gave Jones a Bad Boy baseball cap, which was known to be a signal in the area that Diddy was seeking sex workers.

Jones stated he was assaulted and harassed in Florida, Los Angeles, New York, and while traveling on a yacht in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Jones says he was subjected to “constant unsolicited and unauthorized groping and touching of his anus.”

Diddy is accused of forcing Jones to work in a bathroom while he showed in a glass enclosure and attempting to “groom him into accepting a homosexual relationship.”

Jones also states Diddy would often brandish guns and bragged about being the cause of the 1999 New York City nightclub shooting, which jailed Shyne.

According to TMZ, the legal docs state Jones was forced to watch a video showing Hitmen producer Stevie J having sex with another man. He also states a cousin of Yung Miami, Diddy’s girlfriend, sexually assaulted him and tried to initiate sex in front of Diddy and his staff.

Jones also states Justin Combs recruited prostitutes and underage girls while actor Cuba Gooding Jr. was at one of Diddy’s yacht parties. Gooding Jr. allegedly was “touching, groping, and fondling Mr. Jones’s legs, his upper inner thighs near his groin, the small of his back near his buttocks and his shoulders.” Gooding Jr. settled a separate lawsuit for rape in June 2003.

Included in the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York are images of Diddy with alleged underage girls and sex workers. The suit also lists Diddy’s son, Justin Combs, Diddy’s chief of staff, Kristina Khorram, and a run of music executives, including Universal Music Group CEO Sir Lucian Grainge and former Motown Records CEO Ethiopia Habtemariam, as defendants.

Jones categorizes the record labels and their representing executives as a “RICO enterprise” that “failed to adequately monitor, warn, or supervise” Diddy’s actions.

Diddy’s legal representation, Shawn Holley, released a statement.

“We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies. Our attempts to share this proof with Mr. Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls,” Holley said in a statement. “We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those who make them.”

A rep for Justin Combs reached out to TMZ, stating, “Justin Combs categorically denies these absurd allegations. They are all lies! This is a a clear example of a desperate person taking desperate measures in hopes of a pay day. There will be legal consequences for ALL defamatory statements made about the Combs family.”
