Key Glock Declares Himself “The Greatest” in New Single

Key Glock, the celebrated rapper from South Memphis, asserts his dominance in his latest single, “The Greatest.” Teaming up once again with producer Bandplay, Key Glock delivers dynamic verses over a simmering beat adorned with ringing piano keys and arpeggiating guitars. With confidence akin to Muhammad Ali, Key Glock flaunts his prowess, boasting, “Heart cold as a polar bear (burr)/And name hotter than a f*cking desert/I spent $20,000 on some fur/Then spent $30,000 on some leather.” Fans can anticipate the music video dropping soon on Key Glock’s YouTube channel.

“The Greatest” is just the beginning of Key Glock’s May music releases, with plans for a total of five singles throughout the month. This release strategy, coinciding with the fifth month, pays homage to Key Glock’s affiliation with Paper Route Empire and his cousin and mentor, the late Young Dolph, using the hashtag #PRE5L.

This latest single follows the success of “Let’s Go (Remix),” a collaboration between Key Glock and Young Dolph that soared to #59 on the Billboard Hot 100. The remix further propelled the popularity of “Let’s Go,” already one of Key Glock’s biggest hits to date.

Ice Spice Drops New Single and Visuals For “Gimmie A Light” From Her Latest Album ‘Y2K’

Ice Spice Brings Back Antique Cameras at the Met Gala

Today, Grammy Award-nominated global superstar Ice Spice returns with “Gimmie A Light” — the first official single from her forthcoming debut album Y2K. Set for release via 10K Projects/Capitol Records, the massively anticipated Y2K is due out later this year.

Produced by Ice Spice’s longtime collaborator RiotUSA, who also handled production on career-defining hits like her gold-certified breakout single “Munch (Feelin U)”, “Gimmie A Light” centers on a sample from dancehall legend Sean Paul’s 2002 single “Gimme the Light.” With all the effortless star power that made her an icon soon after emerging from New York drill scene, the Bronx Baddie unleashes a two-minute anthem spotlighting her whip-smart bars, rapid-fire delivery, and potent vocal command. Slick and self-possessed, the result is a high-energy track stacked with bouncy beats and irresistible hooks.

For the video to “Gimmie A Light,” Ice Spice once again joined forces with fellow New York City natives George and Frederick Buford, aka The Evil Twins, the fast-rising filmmaking duo behind the visuals for past hits like “Deli” and “Boy’s A liar Pt. 2” (her platinum-certified, chart-topping 2023 collaboration with PinkPantheress). Equal parts fantasy and hyperreality, Gimmie A Light” places Ice Spice in a dizzying sequence of high-glamour scenarios: sipping Patrón El Alto on the dancefloor with a shiny piece of bling bearing her own likeness; posing with fat stacks of cash in her J’adore Dior baby tee; twerking in the back of a hot-pink Range Rover, surrounded by stuffed animals as the smoke-filled SUV speeds through the streets of her hometown.

Renowned rapper and producer Lil Jon, known for his boisterous presence and infectious beats, is embracing a new venture that might surprise some of his fans: meditation. The hip-hop icon is gearing up to release his second album, but this time, it’s not filled with high-energy tracks and club bangers. Instead, Lil Jon is delving into the realm of meditation with a project aimed at promoting mental well-being and tranquility.

In a departure from his usual persona, Lil Jon acknowledges that he may not fit the mold of a traditional meditation guru. “No, I’m not your typical meditation guru,” he admits. However, he emphasizes that daily meditation and self-affirmations have become integral parts of his routine, helping him stay centered amidst the chaos of his fast-paced lifestyle.

The rapper explains that meditation has had a profound impact on his personal growth, allowing him to cultivate a sense of calm and lower stress levels. While his music often exudes energy and intensity, Lil Jon reveals that his meditative practices have helped him find balance and inner peace.

For Lil Jon, his journey into meditation is not just a personal journey but also a platform to promote mental health awareness, particularly within underserved communities. He hopes that his openness about seeking mental health support and his upcoming album will help stimulate conversations surrounding mental well-being.

Dr. Patrice Le Goy, a psychologist and therapist, commends Lil Jon’s efforts to address mental health issues and believes that his visibility in the music industry could have a positive impact on marginalized communities. By sharing his own experiences and advocating for mental health resources, Lil Jon is breaking down barriers and making support more accessible to those who need it most.

In addition to his meditation album, Lil Jon reveals that he is working on a sleep-focused album and an EDM collaboration project. Despite his continued success in the hip-hop scene, the rapper is increasingly focused on his meditative side and hopes to inspire others to prioritize their mental well-being.

New ‘Lord of the Rings’ Movie ‘The Hunt for Gollum’ Arrives in 2026

New ‘Lord of the Rings’ Movie ‘The Hunt for Gollum’ Arrives in 2026

Well, here’s some good news for fans of the massive Lord of the Rings franchise. Warner Bros. announces plans to release the first of its new live-action The Lord of the Rings films in 2026, with a focus on Andy Serkis’ character Gollum, revealed during an earnings call by Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav.

Produced by Peter Jackson, the original director of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, along with Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, the project will delve into unexplored storylines and involve script development by Walsh, Boyens, Phoebe Gittins, and Arty Papageorgiou.

Warner Bros. unveiled the film’s working title, The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, to be directed by and starring Serkis, with executive production by Ken Kamins and Jonathan Cavendish of The Imaginarium. The initiative stems from a deal brokered in February 2023 by then-Warner Bros. studio heads Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, aimed at creating multiple films based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s beloved books through New Line Cinema, with Freemode securing adaptive rights under Middle-earth Enterprises.

Get this if this isn’t enough: a separate animated Middle-earth movie, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, is slated for release on Dec. 13, directed by Kenji Kamiyama and set 200 years before The Hobbit. De Luca and Abdy lauded Jackson, Walsh, and Boyens’ dedication to Tolkien’s legacy, expressing gratitude for their involvement in the new projects. Jackson, Walsh, and Boyens echoed the sentiment, expressing enthusiasm for collaborating again with Serkis and the Warner Bros. team.

Reflecting on the venture, Serkis expressed excitement about revisiting Middle-earth alongside Jackson, Walsh, and Boyens, as well as the Warner Bros. team and their filmmaking family in New Zealand. The original The Lord of the Rings trilogy, directed by Jackson, amassed nearly $3 billion worldwide and garnered numerous accolades, including 17 Academy Awards, with Jackson’s subsequent The Hobbit trilogy achieving similar success.

Shouts to Sean Paul. He’s so real.”

As for her upcoming album, the BX native said, “Thankfully, I had my mom, so growing up I’d see her really embody the Y2K aesthetic in its truest form. [To me, the aesthetic is…] It’s duck nails. I want it to be short. I don’t want it to be this super long phrase.” It was going to go either way. It was going to be super long phrase or one word. There was no in between for me.”

Quavo is making waves in Hollywood, with producer turned director Randall Emmett praising his acting chops in the upcoming film Cash Out, co-starring John Travolta. Yes, Pulp Fiction, Face-Off, John Travolta. That guy.

Randall Emmett, the director of Cash Out, spoke to TMZ Hip Hop at LAX, expressing his admiration for Quavo’s performance in the action-packed film. Now, if you don’t know, some say Emmett inspired the iconic Turtle character in “Entourage” back when he was Mark Wahlberg’s assistant back in the day. He’s since risen into a powerhouse movie producer, now director, yet not without controversy. Emmett was also a fixture on the reality TV hit series “Vanderpump Rules” on Bravo TV due to his past relationship with his former fiancé and mother to one of his kids, La La Kent.

Back to Quavo … According to Emmett, the former Migos frontman effortlessly shines on screen, showcasing a natural talent that could propel him into a successful acting career. Emmett highlighted the chemistry between John Travolta and Quavo on set, noting how their dynamic elevated the film’s overall quality. Despite Quavo’s burgeoning acting career, Emmett remained unaware of controversies surrounding the rapper, such as his feud with Chris Brown.

With Quavo’s undeniable talent and potential, it seems Hollywood has found another rising star in the world of rap-turned-acting.

Happy Heavenly Birthday To Former Bad Boy Craig Mack!

Craig Mack

On this date in 1971, rapper Craig Jamieson Mack was born in the birthplace of Hip Hop and went on to become one of the most impactful emcees on Hip Hop’s most pivotal label in the mid-late 90s, Bad Boy Records.

Produced by Easy Mo Bee, “Flava In Ya Ear” audibly captured the exactitude of one of hip-hop’s most celebrated eras. In the early 90’s, a time east coast rap was faint in hype, the coming of Craig Mack sparked its resurgence. The remix of “Flava In Ya Ear” featuring Puff Daddy (Diddy), LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, and Rampage pushed one of the most iconic rappers to the forefront, The Notorious B.I.G, creating a timeless hip-hop melody.

Mack was signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Entertainment when he dropped his 1994 debut Project: Funk da World, making him a Bad Boy Records pioneer. He is the first artist to release an album off of Bad Boy records, which would become the mecca for east coast rap of the 1990s, and its resurgence.

The distinctive rhymes and flows of Craig Mack are essential to the rutty and sensationally groggy sound of 1990s rap. Prior to his dawning with Bad Boy, as a young teen under the moniker MC EZ, he released one single “Just Rhymin’” in 1988, followed by “Get Retarded” with his group MC EZ & Troup.

Native to Long Island, which at the time was one of New York’s maturing hip-hop epicenters, Mack was close friends with Parrish Smith and Erick Sermon of EPMD prior to the golden era duo’s debut, and eventually went on tour with them. He helped DJ Scratch, EPMD’s DJ, amass his turntables for performances.

Mack died on March 12, 2018 from heart failure near his home in Walterboro, South Carolina. He was 47 years old. He will be physically missed, but his music will be celebrated forever!
