JAY-Z and Beyonce were both in attendance at the grand opening of a new Fanatics Sportsbook location on the Atlantic City boardwalk in New Jersey on Sunday. In a viral clip from the ceremony on social media, they can be seen celebrating while The Isley Brothers perform right in front of them. When The Shade Room shared the video on Instagram, fans noted how unbothered they seemed amid the criticism of JAY-Z’s decision to platform Kendrick Lamar at Super Bowl LIX instead of Lil Wayne.

“The Carters don’t be caring wth y’all be saying about them! They be ignoring y’all like a fly in the wall! Y’all be talking to yourself!” one user wrote. Another added: “The way the black community have this strong hate towards them is why we will never see someone in jays shoes again!” Others continued arguing about the Super Bowl decision amongst themselves.

Fans have been arguing that Lil Wayne should get to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show, considering the game is being held in his hometown of New Orleans. Jay explained the decision in a statement at the time of the announcement. “Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer,” he said. “His deep love for Hip-Hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrick’s work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come.”

JAY-Z joined Michael Rubin at the grand opening of a new Fanatics Sportsbook location on the Atlantic City boardwalk in New Jersey on Sunday. At the event, Jay helped cut the ceremonial ribbon as Rubin, along with Fanatics Betting and Gaming CEO Matt King and Ocean Casino Resort GM Bill Callahan cheered him on. Hov’s appearance at the opening comes as he continues to face backlash on social media for helping select Kendrick Lamar to perform at Super Bowl LIX over Lil Wayne.

“Folks like Nikki out here talking about Super Bowl performances and Jay out here cutting ribbons,” one user commented when Roc Nation shared pictures from the event on Instagram. “Let that be a lesson for her and the rest of them. Start learning how to be an adult.” Another fan wrote: “While y’all talking superbowl halftime shows . Jay opening BILLION DOLLAR CASINO’S… levels to this ISH.”

It’s not the first time Jay has gotten involved in sports betting. JAY-Z rocked a unique Bugatti Tourbillon watch worth $340,000 to the reopening of his storied 40/40 Club for Fanatics Fest in New York City, last week. Celebrity jeweler Jacob Arabo, who designed the piece, revealed that the legendary rapper was the first to own it in a post on Instagram afterward. “My dear friend @jayz was the first to own the 5 time zone watch. 25 years later, he’s the first to own the bugatti tourbillon,” he wrote, as caught by HipHopDX.

In another post, he added: “The Bugatti Tourbillon is the result of months of tireless collaboration between our teams, with each side bringing its expertise to the table. Inspired by Bugatti’s latest hyper sports car, the Tourbillon, the watch mirrors the car’s iconic design elements and groundbreaking technology. The 52 x 44 mm case, crafted to resemble the car’s body, features the front grille, side radiator inlets, and large sapphire side windows.”

He continued: “Inside, the watch is powered by a V16 engine block automaton made from a single block of transparent sapphire, a nod to Bugatti’s groundbreaking engine architecture. The 30-second flying tourbillon and retrograde hours and minutes, designed to mimic the RPM counter, are feats of engineering that push the boundaries of horology.” It’s far from the most expensive watch JAY has been spotted wearing as of late. Earlier this year, he was caught with a Rolex watch valued at over $4 million. Additionally, he invested in the luxury watch marketplace, Wristcheck.

IShowSpeed met some legends at Fanatics Fest in New York City this weekend, as he rightfully noted in a Twitter community post. “i met a legend today [blowing smoke emoji],” he captioned a picture of him alongside Lil Wayne. Both participated in Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and Matt Hillman’s Roommates Show program, which also had Tom Brady as a special guest. Speed even hit a backflip for them, adding to his recent athletic feats in front of superstar rappers. Recently, he also beat Travis Scott in a foot race as Quavo and others cheered them on, making for a pretty notable moment.

However, not all of IShowSpeed’s celebrity interactions go exactly as planned. Nevertheless, this means that these moments will probably go even more viral as a result, so it’s a win-win situation as long as it doesn’t cross a line. This happened when the popular streamer met Kevin Durant during a recent episode of Logan Paul’s ImPaulsive podcast. The Slim Reaper was pretty creeped out by Speed’s longing and loving stare at him, even joking about him having to back up as a result.

Then even performed their smash hit “pick up the phone” with Young Thug together, and it looks like everyone present had a great time. Of course, this is far from the first time that these two link up together for a show or for a special appearance; they have a collab album, after all. For example, La Flame recently brought the former Migo out at his Miami concert during his CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour, and to no one’s surprise, they absolutely rocked the crowd.

In fact, this record of collabs and joint concerts isn’t restricted to just concerts or parties, but also more official and philanthropic fare. Travis Scott and Quavo hit the stage at Jay-Z’s blackjack tournament, in partnership with Michael Rubin for the REFORM Alliance. The Super Bowl is less than a month away and there’s one performance that everybody is anticipating. Usher is set to take the stage during Halftime of the game for a show on one of the biggest stages in all of music. The night won’t end for him there either. The R&B legend is also planning to release his new album that same night. But he’s far from the only musical star that will be in Las Vegas celebrating the biggest football game of the year.

As they do every year, sports merchandising company Fanatics is hosting a VIP party the weekend of the big game. The A-list stars show up year in and year out to perform in the event with rappers like Cardi B and Doja Cat taking the stage in previous years. This time Travis Scott is leading the way and headlining the event. But the roster is absolutely stacked with talented voices from popular music. According to Page Six, the Chainsmokers, Ice Spice, The Kid LAROI, Lil Baby, Ludacris, Fabolous, Ne-Yo, Meek Mill, and A$AP Ferg have all additionally been tapped to perform. They’ll be taking the stage for a crowd of celebs that haven’t been formally announced yet.

Lil Baby Gives Back In His ‘Merch Madness’ Video With The Help Of Michael Rubin, Chris Paul, And More

In the video for his new song “Merch Madness,” Lil Baby has some fun with the title’s sports-related concept by teaming up with a squad of athletes to show off his philanthropic side. Filmed at a youth event where NBA players like Chris Paul and Joel Embiid gave away gear backed by Fanatics, Lil Baby roams the halls of The Frederick Douglass Academy in Harlem, New York, and hangs out with the kids as they enjoy their new sports equipment.

Other cameos in the video include Baby’s fellow rappers Meek Mill and Quavo, NFL legends Eli Manning and Tom Brady, and Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin. The Merch Madness event, which took place on June 27, reportedly gave away over 300,000 licensed pieces to approximately 100,000 underserved youth in 100 locations across the US. In the song, Lil Baby highlights the endeavor, rapping on the chorus:

Jump back in my bag, did this one for the culture
Ain’t too good to give, my cup been runnin’ over

Baby’s been growing his corporate partnership portfolio a bunch this year; in May, he announced a collaboration with Axe including his own manga, although in a TikTok he shot to promote it, he was less than impressed with the results of an AI anime filter.

Jay-Z Sports $7 Million Watch At 4th Of July Party

Earlier this week celebrities showed out in bunches for Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin’s 4th of July party. Names like Jack Harlow, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Coi Leray, and more showed up. As attention-grabbing as the list of names was the dress code. The party was an all-white affair that saw stars showing up in sleek bright white outfits. Even among a sea of notable fits though, Jay-Z stood out.

In the wake of the party while digging through all the photos fans noticed a piece Jay-Z brought with him. According to HipHopDX, the “Empire State Of Mind” rapper supplemented his fit with a rare Patek Phillippe watch worth more than $7 million. That figure comes from another one of the watches which sold at an auction. Back in April of 2022, someone picked it up for $7.7 million. There were plenty more flashy watches to be seen at the event. Both Lil Baby and DJ Khaled pulled out pricey wristwear for the occasion, but everyone’s drip was dwarfed by Hova’s.

Jay-Z’s looks didn’t just get attention at Rubin’s party. He recently showed up at Paris Fashion Week in support of Pharrell. It was the rapper and producer’s debut as the Head of Menswear for Louis Vuitton. Jay-Z performed after the show alongside Tyler, The Creator, and Pharrell himself. During his performance, he played his song “N*ggas In Paris” which features Kanye West and fans took notice when West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian was singing along in the crowd.

Jay-Z also showed up in Paris for a different reason, to relax. He was spotted on Beyonce’s Instagram relaxing with the singer after she wrapped up the European leg of her Renaissance tour. Despite Jay’s notoriously private approach to life, he’s been showing up often recently. It wasn’t even the only time in recent weeks he made a memorable appearance on Bey’s Instagram page. Lil Baby Teams Up With Fanatics For “Merch Madness” Song

Lil Baby is currently one of the biggest rappers in the entire world. Overall, he is someone with a plethora of hits. Moreover, he has numerous number-one albums. His ability to sell extremely well is something that is coveted in hip-hop right now. This is largely due to the fact that a rap album has not gone number one this year. Additionally, there isn’t a single song that has gone number one either. That will likely change at some point, although some people want it to happen sooner rather than later.

Recently, Lil Baby and Fanatics decided to team up with one another. For those who may not know, Fanatics is a brand that sells sports jerseys and other memorabilia. Moreover, Michael Rubin is involved, who is someone that Baby knows quite well. To help them usher in their “Merch Madness” campaign, Lil Baby decided to do a song that speaks on the topic. It is a pretty obvious brand sponsorship, however, these kinds of songs have gotten quite a bit better over recent years.

Throughout this track, we get some uplifting bars. Baby is rapping about uplifting the youth and succeeding in Fanatics’ mission. The production is about what you would expect from a Lil Baby song. Consequently, unless you were really checking the lyrics, you wouldn’t necessarily know this is an ad of sorts. Ultimately, this is a huge positive for music listeners.

Fans should not consider this as an official single for a new Lil Baby album. This is definitely not part of an overarching rollout.
