Hailie Jade Engagement: Fiancé Recalls Asking For Eminem’s Blessing

For practically as long as Eminem has been famous, the world has heard all about his daughter, Hailie Jade Mathers Scott. The 27-year-old inspired several of her lyricist father’s early hits, and even provided the hook to his fan favourite “My Dad’s Gone Crazy.” Over the decades, many have been following along with her life via social media, as if she’s a personal childhood friend of their own.

Earlier this year, Scott revealed that she’s reached yet another major life milestone – becoming a fiancée. After her long-time boyfriend Evan McClintock surprised her with a proposal after six years together, she happily accepted. Of course, before he got down on one knee, a blessing had to be given by Slim Shady himself.

On this Friday’s (February 26) episode of the Just a Little Shady podcast, the Detroit-born entertainer invited McClintock to join her. They answered some of listener’s most burning questions, including how they first met and what it took for Evan to get his future father-in-law’s approval. He asked the “Mockingbird” rapper the big question on Christmas Day, which also happens to be Hailie’s birthday, knowing that he may not have another opportunity to speak with Eminem.

“I saw your dad go downstairs, and I’m like, ‘I gotta do it right now, or I’m not doing it today, and I’m gonna have to schedule another time,’” he explained to his fiancée. “So I just followed him downstairs, and, thankfully, he was just down there getting your cake and I made it happen.” McClintock makes it sound as though the ask was easy, but he notes that finding the perfect ring for Scott was the real challenge.

Just a Little Shady

As it turns out, Eminem’s other daughter, Alaina Marie Scott, came to the rescue with some tips for her future brother-in-law. “She basically told me what for sure not to get,” he laughed on the podcast. “That’s all I told her, so it makes sense,” Hailie responded.

Since launching Just a Little Shady last summer, the recently engaged star has consistently been releasing episodes. Early episodes saw her recalling her time in college, answering questions from fans, and telling ghost stories. More recently, she’s discussed growing up with her Uncle Nate, Miley Cyrus’ latest single, and her own music career. The unlikely couple initially was questioned to be a paparazzi stunt, however, a $250,000 engagement ring quickly proved that their romance is the real deal. A.E., who previously dated Amber Rose, allegedly proposed to Cher a month after they had started dating. Since then, the pair hasn’t been afraid to show PDA, as seen at Super Bowl parties this month.

Sources revealed that the 76-year-old singer had already received disapproval from her close friends, according to RadarOnline. “Cher’s in way over her head as far as the vast majority of her friends are concerned,” the source shared, “they want her to see this for what it is, a fun winter fling. They don’t want her to get carried away.” But now, Cher is receiving backlash from her own children for the 40-year gap between her and her new love. Her sons, Chaz, 53, and Elijah, 46, are both nearly a decade older than their soon-to-be stepdad. Sources say worry that A.E.’s love for their mother may be blinded by her bank account.

Cher Can’t Stand The Haters

An insider revealed that the lack of support from her sons allegedly upset Cher. “Cher doesn’t believe her sons should be counting her cash,” the insider revealed, “if that’s their primary focus, they can kiss the entire pile goodbye.” The “Believe” singer is so confident in her love that she’s “willing to cut them out completely,” according to sources. “She’s been hell-bent on marrying this guy and is speaking to her lawyers about adjusting her will to make A.E. her sole beneficiary,” a source added.

Even with the unsurprising feuds brewing between Cher, Chaz, and Elijah, the timeless icon supposedly still has plans for a spur-of-the-moment Vegas eloping. The ups and downs of Chrisean Rock and Blueface‘s romance has been an ongoing debate for years. In 2022, the pair’s notoriety increased after several videos of their physical altercations surfaced online. Their domestic violence instances were brushed off as toxic behavior as they move forward with their relationship. Meanwhile, Blueface hasn’t said a peep about his girlfriend’s prediction. Their tumultuous relationship has played out for a global audience, and not everyone believes it has been healthy. Despite the pushback, Rock continues to be invited to platforms to discuss her romance. In a recent chat with the Know For Sure podcast, Rock admitted to undergoing three abortions with Blueface.

“If I have a baby, I’m keeping it this time. I killed, like, three of them,” she said. “You know you always have that bad feeling, like, this not right.”

She added she “wouldn’t mind” having a child with the rapper “right now.” However, she also stated she would need to have a ring beforehand.

LaKeith Stanfield Reflects On Holidays After “Secret” Child Drama

LaKeith Stanfield says that the holidays are a beautiful time to bond with loved ones in “the midst of any kind of climate.” The statement on Instagram comes after a woman exposed the actor as the father of her newborn child.

“Back to work. Loved the holidays and spending time with family,” Stanfield began. “Some really great moments with loved ones. Beautiful time with my fiancé and the reinforcement of our bond in the midst of any kind of climate.”

The drama went down, last weekend, after Stanfield and his girlfriend, Kasmere Trice, announced their engagement. Afterward, artist Tylor Hurd shared photos of Stanfield with her daughter and claiming that he is the father.

“Decided to leave being someone’s secret family in 2022,” Hurd captioned the photo. She has since deleted the post.

Before Hurd took it down, Standfield commented: “Thanks for respecting my not wanting to blast my child out to the internet. Very considerate of you.”

Hurd later fired back: “Value your privacy is why you lied to people saying she wasn’t your baby or that I was just a random? you value your privacy but your gf post everything y’all do lol okay.”

“I never once in my life said she wasn’t my baby,” Stanfield continued, “I hope this does whatever it was supposed to do for you.”

The “We Found Love” singer was spotted shopping for baby clothes at Kitson in Los Angeles on Monday, but it was her own accessories that got people talking.

While out and about, Rihanna was seen wearing a huge diamond ring on her left ring finger, sparking rumors that she and Rocky are getting ready to say “I do.”

Neither Rihanna nor A$AP Rocky have confirmed the engagement.
