Drake fans who live in Europe might have a blast next year. After the Canadian rapper was playing shows around North America on his joint It’s All A Blur Tour with 21 Savage, there had been questions about where he would head next. Now, Drake has responded to the possibility of bringing the show across the sea.

Will Drake Tour Europe In 2024?

Drake recently held a livestream on Stake (via Complex), where he fielded fan questions. One of these was whether he’d be touring Europe in the next year. “I’m definitely going on a Europe tour next year,” he said. As for potential cities, he is eyeing Italy, Albania, and even Tokyo, according to the publication. So, there might even be an eventual few stops in Asia.

However, it might not be right away. “We obviously have a tour coming up [in] January,” Drake pointed out. Next month, he returns to the tour with J. Cole joining him instead, as he continues playing shows on the North American leg. Drake also has his new Scary Hours 3 album out, giving him new selections to toss into the setlist.

Drake’s For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition, which he initially announced as Scary Hours 3, tacked six extra songs to the tracklist of his previously released For All The Dogs album. One of them, “Evil Ways” featuring J. Cole, is among Uproxx‘s “Best Songs Of 2023.” Now we know “You Broke My Heart” will be in the spotlight.

On Tuesday evening, December 19, Drake confirmed via his Instagram Story that he will drop a video for “You Broke My Heart” tomorrow, December 20. The announcement is accompanied by a photo of a “BRKNHRT” license plate on the street.

Previously, Drake gave the video treatment to For All The Dogs tracks “Another Late Night” featuring Lil Yachty, then “First Person Shooter” featuring J. Cole, and “Polar Opposites.” The “Another Late Night” video was directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett, while Gibson Hazard directed “First Person Shooter.”

For All The Dogs was released on October 6 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — his 13th-career No. 1 album — and For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition arrived on November 17. “First Person Shooter” featuring J. Cole also became Drake’s 13th-career No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (and J. Cole’s first). Cole and Drake will co-headline the It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What? at the top of 2024. The Best Drake Features Of 2023

2023 was a big year for Drake. In addition to spending the summer on tour with 21 Savage, he dropped his eighth studio album For All The Dogs, and reunited with frequent collaborators like J. Cole, Nicki MInaj, and Travis Scott. He even got the key to the city of Memphis, something that confused fans who weren’t aware of the Toronto native’s connections to the city.

He also made his customary round of guest features, although he did fewer this year than he has in the past. While he still blessed at least one rising artist with the coveted Drake stimulus feature, for the most part, it seemed he reserved his guest appearances for longtime friends and collaborators. Here are Drake’s best features of 2023:

J Hus — “Who Told You”

Drake’s affinity for British music turned out to be a boon for rising Afroswing pioneer J Hus as the lead single from his third album, Beautiful And Brutal Yard, became his highest-charting single yet. The song contrasts the tough-guy image men from the African diaspora all over the world must project with the simple joy of dancing to an infectious riddim, which Drake does with a loopy, crooning verse that once again stands with a foot planted on each side of the rap/R&B divide.

Nicki Minaj — “Needle”

Picking up a similar thread from his appearance on “Who Told You,” Drake continues to utilize a Caribbean-accented singsong flow on his reunion with Nicki Minaj. While Nicki sticks to her rapid-fire staccato raps, Drake sings the hook of this dreamy, dancehall-influenced standout from Nicki’s new album Pink Friday 2.

Popcaan — “We Caa Done”

Drake’s dancehall/Afrobeats fascination kicked off early in the year as he teamed up with Jamaican singer Popcaan, who signed with Drake’s record label OVO Sound in 2016. The single marks Drake and Popcaan’s fourth collaboration, continuing their chemistry from “Controlla,” All I Need,” and “Twist & Turn.” Say what you want to about Drake’s prolific use of Jamaican slang, but he and Popcaan blend naturally on records such as these.

Travis Scott — “Meltdown”

A spiritual successor to 2018’s “Sicko Mode,” the standout from Travis Scott’s new album Utopia is more menacing and slightly cracked, less interested in making listeners dance than in conveying the “tensions are definitely rising” Drake warns on the intro. It’s one of Drake’s most technical verses of the year, with subtle jabs for rivals like Kanye West and Pusha T. His threats aren’t very believable but they sound cool anyway.

Young Thug — “Parade On Cleveland”

In June, Drake blessed the incarcerated Young Thug’s new album Business Is Business with two guest verses. While “Parade On Cleveland” is the slower of the two, featuring an overdose of Drake’s syrupy falsetto, the subject matter remains the same throughout both tracks. “Parade” is dominated by Drake’s singing, with a beat switch preceded by a quick snippet of a phone call between the two rappers.

Young Thug — “Oh U Went”

Of the two Drake features on Business Is Business, “Oh U Went” is superior, pairing the gangster topics with a much more fitting beat. Metro Boomin offers a block-beating backdrop that allows both to slot comfortably into their well-worn roles, executing a flawless two-man weave without any need for extras.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Did Metro Boomin Respond To Drake’s Alleged Diss?

Drake hosted a Kick.com livestream this past weekend (the one during which he got a hefty $0.20 tip from a viewer), and some think one moment from the broadcast was directed at Metro Boomin.

At one point, Drake said, “And to the rest of you… to the rest of you, the non-believers, the underachievers, the tweet-and-deleters, you guys make me sick to my stomach, fam. Honestly. If you guys… look in my eyes: You guys want to do something? You guys…? That’s what I thought. That’s what I thought. Mmhmm.”

Many saw this as a reference to a Metro Boomin tweet that he later deleted, which read, “yet [Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss] still keeps winning rap album of the year over [Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains]. proof that award shows are just politics and not for me. Idc about awards honestly, the true award and REWARD is knowing that the music I spend so much time on brings joy to peoples everyday lives.”

Did Metro Boomin respondo Drake’s alleged diss?

A Metro tweet from after Drake’s livestream is being interpreted by some as a response. He simply shared a 9-second clip from a popular RDCworld1 YouTube video called “BLACK SITCOM THEMES VS WHITE SITCOM THEMES,” in which a group of men laughingly tell another one off-camera to calm down and put his gun down.

Drake’s 2023 Features, Ranked From Worst To Best

Drake has had a prolific 2023. This year, he toured North America and released his eighth studio album, For All The Dogs, along with a Scary Hours Edition. Despite the mixed reactions, Drake continued to dominate as both a solo artist and as a collaborator. His project included appearances from SZA, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Chief Keef, Bad Bunny, and more. Already, he’s lined up the first few months of 2024 for his upcoming co-headlining tour with J. Cole. However, between his own releases, he’s contributed numerous rap and sung guest verses throughout the year. Today, we are ranking each of Drake’s features in 2023 from worst to best. Take a look at the list below.

6. Young Thug – “Parade On Cleveland”

Drake is the very first voice on Young Thug’s Business Is Business, although he contributes twice to the tracklist. A somber and melodic intro, “Parade On Cleveland” is fitting for Thug’s first release since his indictment for racketeering-related charges against the YSL collective. Handling both a short verse and the song’s chorus, Drake makes multiple references to Thug’s incarceration. He sings lines like, “soon as I’m fresh out the box like a Tic-Tac.” Drake also proclaims that there will be a “parade on Bleveland as soon as I get home” before the song transitions into a collect-call between him and Young Thug. Although it is a solid album opener, “Parade on Cleveland” ultimately pales in comparison to their second collaboration on Business Is Business, as well as Drake’s other 2023 features.

5. Popcaan – “We Caa Done”

OVO signee Popcaan kicked off 2023 with a “Song Of The Summer” contender. “We Caa Done” brings Drake into the world of dancehall, a genre he has tackled on numerous occasions. While Drake does not contribute a full verse, he floats over the instrumental as he steals the show on the song’s chorus. The uplifting production allows plenty of space for Popcaan to provide his auto-tuned melodies, while Drake contributes a catchy chorus and carefree ad-libs. He sounds incredibly comfortable over dancehall, lending infectious vocals to the feel-good track.

4. Nicki Minaj – “Needle”

This year saw the reunion between Drake and Nicki Minaj on the Pink Friday 2 highlight, “Needle.” The dancehall-fused track sees Drake opting to sing a heartfelt yet festive verse and chorus. He likens his love interest to a needle in the haystack of life while catchily singing, “I just wanna pull up the Maybach and bend your leg back.” Drake’s verse and chorus effortlessly assist Nicki Minaj in embracing her Trinidadian roots on the sincere yet danceable track. “Needle” differs from Drake’s previous features on Nicki Minaj tracks, but still showcases the duo’s timeless chemistry.

3. J Hus – “Who Told You”

One of 2023’s most anticipated collaborations saw Drake featuring on J Hus’s latest album, Beautiful And Brutal Yard. “Who Told You” is a summertime banger that displays both artists’ greatest strengths. Hus provides his signature afroswing cadences and humorous yet charming lyrics while Drake finds his pocket in the P2J-produced instrumental. He “knows the vibes,” weaving between rapping and singing about dancing with Lilah Pi. On “Who Told You,” Drake matches J Hus’s breezy afro swing flow as they ask, “who told you gangsters don’t dance?”

2. Young Thug – “Oh U Went”

Drake’s other 2023 feature on Young Thug’s album is significantly more upbeat. “Oh U Went” includes a lively and soulful trap beat produced by Metro Boomin. While Thug rides the beat with ease, it is Drake who steals the show. He flexes on other rappers in true Drake fashion, spitting bars like, “I got more soldiers than a military / I got more stones than a cemetery / I got more streams than y’all in February.” He also spits some clever punchlines like “If a n***a really try to jam me, get jammed first like the countdown.” It is a short yet effective verse as Drake makes his mark on “Oh U Went,” contrasting his style with Young Thug’s to make a standout moment on Business Is Business

1. Travis Scott – “Meltdown”

Undoubtedly Drake’s best feature of 2023 is his verse on Travis Scott’s “Meltdown.” One of the instant favorite guest appearances on Utopia, Drake and Travis recreate their magic that they had on songs like “Sicko Mode,” “Company,” and “Portland.” “Tensions is definitely rising,” Drake warns listeners as he declares that it is “T time” before spitting one of his most menacing verses. With an aggressive whisper, he flips the various phrasings of “T time” and tells his opps that they are “scared of the 6.” His villainous verse sends shots at Pusha T and Pharrell, reigniting his 2018 beef with the former. Drake’s show-stopping verse is accentuated by an ominous beat with triumphant horns and Star Wars lasers. His verse raises both the tension and the lyrical bar incredibly high with one of his meanest verses in recent memory.

Drake Kick Stream: Canadian Wants $1B Contract With Platform, Reacts To $0.20 Tip From Viewer

At this point in his career, there’s little that Drake has to cross off his bucket list or prove to anyone else. Still, as he moves into his late 30s, the Toronto native has made it known that retirement isn’t on the horizon for him anytime soon. Even if he doesn’t follow up For All The Dogs with another LP for a minute, Drake is at least providing entertainment in other ways. Recently, he’s taken up streaming in tandem with Kick, sometimes recruiting Lil Yachty to join him for fun nights of gambling and laughter.

This weekend, the “Nice For What” artist was rolling solo while going live online, sipping on a pink drink in the tropics. “This is about you more than it is about me,” he said while sitting outside enjoying his beverage by the pool. “F**k Drake for the night. That’s what she said,” the father of one quips in the clip below. “No, but honestly tho, thank you for the $0.20 tip. I appreciate that, it’ll go to a good cause,” he promised the loyal viewer with a straight face.

Drake Hopes to Grow His Fortune on Kick

“We’re giving away [a million] tonight. I want you guys to get rich, I want you to feel rich. I hope you get blessed tonight. We got people calling in on FaceTime. This is really about blessing the people for the holidays. Happy holidays to you all, whatever you celebrate. Going into the new year, I hope I can put some money into yuh pockets,” the multi-talent told viewers.

Afterward, Drake impressed himself by successfully navigating through the stream, telling the platform he wants a billion-dollar deal from them. “I’m available,” he teased before taking a hit of his hookah. Struggling Musician Drake Reacted To Getting A 20-Cent Tip From A Viewer During A Livestream

Drake has been very successful for long time, and thus, he’s got a few bucks laying around; His net worth has been estimated at around $250 million, and while estimates like these can often be unreliable, that’s doesn’t feel like a surprising number. The point is that Drake probably doesn’t need anybody gifting him more money, but one fan did just that… but not that much.

Last night (December 17), Drake hosted a Kick.com livestream, and at one point during the broadcast, somebody made a donation… of 20 cents. Drake was talking about something unrelated, then after taking a look at his screen, he shifted, saying, “Thank you for the 20-cent tip, [donator’s username], appreciate that. That’ll go to a good cause.”

Spotify reportedly pays about 0.3 cents per stream, so in essence, the viewer donated what Drake would earn from 67 streams, so about three full-album plays.

Elsewhere during the show, Drake’s co-host asked about his New Year’s resolution, and Drake said, “Travel more for the purpose of enjoyment.” The co-host implored Drake to visit Europe and he replied with a bit of breaking news: “I will. I think I’m going to go on tour in Europe, but again, that’s for work.” He also rattled off some vacation destinations on his radar: “I’ve never been to so many places. I’ve never been to Italy, never been to Tokyo, never been to Albania.”

Are Drake And Camila Cabello Dating?

drake

Camila Cabello, following her on-again-off-again split from Shawn Mendes, seems to be sparking some dating rumors with another musician: none other than Drake. In some new photos that are making the rounds online, Cabello and the Toronto rapper were spotted on a boat together.

The first image shows Drake being super entertained by whatever they are talking about. The second appears to be Cabello sitting by him in a black swimsuit.

“Most random couple of all time,” wrote one user. However, it’s worth noting that this would not be the only Canadian that Cabello has been linked to, as Mendes is also famously from that part of North America. Users online also didn’t hold back about other things, well, they thought that Drake and Mendes had in common.

Others aren’t completely convinced, pointing out that they just very well could be two friends hanging out at a boat party. Or, they could be planning a collaboration on an upcoming song, which has also been thrown out as a possibility. Or, he’ll wind up incorporating her name on a rap lyric. Only time will tell.

Check out the photos that are causing the Drake and Camila Cabello dating rumors above. Below, find some more fan reactions to the news.

Lil Uzi Vert Previews New Song With Drake Interpolation

Ever since they dropped Pink Tape earlier this year, Lil Uzi Vert has been teasing a follow-up. They’ve been working on two separate projects, though which one is coming first has shifted back and forth. For a while, it seemed like Barter 16 would be the first follow-up. Uzi began working on the Young Thug-tributing album earlier this year. The admiration for Thugger clearly goes deep as Uzi worked with some of his frequent collaborators like London On Da Track and even recreated a famous Thug album cover for the project. Despite claims that the album has already been turned in to Uzi’s label, news on it has dried up.

Now fans are expecting LUV Is Rage 3 to be released first. That’s because Uzi has upped the teases in recent weeks as they’re clearly working on the project. They’ve previewed a few different songs recently on their Instagram story and Live. Recently, they shared a new song that had fans really excited because of what it interpolates. The new song features snippets of “7969 Santa” from Drake’s new album For All The Dogs. The specific portion sampled comes from Teezo Touchdown and features Uzi singing over it. Listen to the full clip of the new song below.

Lil Uzi Vert’s Newest Snippet

Even though they haven’t released much material recently, it’s still been a busy time for Lil Uzi Vert. Earlier this week they made a surprise appearance in their hometown of Philadelphia alongside Travis Scott. Scott is currently on his CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour in support of his new album UTOPIA which has featured a few notable guest appearances.

Uzi also may have another hit on their hands alongside Nicki Minaj. The pair teamed up for a new song called “Everybody” from Nicki’s new album Pink Friday 2 over the weekend. The track has caught on immediately with videos of fellow celebs like North West, Lizzo, and Fivio Foreign who all shared videos of themselves dancing to it on social media. The track is also pulling off impressive streaming numbers ahead of almost every other deep cut. What do you think of Lil Uzi Vert sampling Drake on a snippet of new music for LUV Is Rage 3?
