Drake & Former Miss Croatia Ivana Knoll Link Up At Leonardo DiCaprio’s Party

Drake has been doing this for a long time. Because of this, it never comes as a surprise when he links up with practically every famous face in the industry. Over the years, the rapper has befriended socialites, models, fellow artists, athletes, and various other creatives. Most recently, his ever-expanding social circle grew by one more as he posted up with a world-famous beauty named Ivana Knoll.

She previously held the title of Miss Croatia. Now, the 26-year-old is spending time with Drizzy. Specifically, they were at Leonardo DiCaprio’s Miami party earlier this week. They posed for an Instagram photo together, which she shared on her feed on Thursday (January 5) morning.

In the image, the Canadian has his arm wrapped around Knoll’s waist. They both widely grin for the camera as the model flips her hair. While not exactly matching, their dark fits were coordinated, and they looked undeniably happy to be in each other’s presence.

As Daily Star notes, the social media star made headlines at the end of 2022 after attending the FIFA World Cup in revealing outfits. The host country, Qatar, created a strict dress code for the event, but she chose to follow her own rules. As a result of her bold actions, her online presence has increased significantly. At this time, she has upwards of 3.6 million followers on Instagram.

Champagne Papi isn’t the only celebrity to appear on Knoll’s feed as of late. To kick off 2023, she shared a picture of her and “Gold Digger” hitmaker Jamie Foxx, also smiling for the camera.

“There’s no better way [than to] start [your] new year with good friends,” her caption reads.

According to reports, Foxx was also present at the Miami party where Drizzy and Knoll snapped their photo together.

Popcaan and Drake Deliver First OVO Single of 2023 in “We Caa Done”

Popcaan and Drake Deliver First OVO Single of 2023 in "We Caa Done"

Dancehall superstar Popcaan returns today to reveal his new album, Great Is He, will be released on January 27th, via OVO Sound, after unveiling the cover artwork and promising new music earlier this week.

The new album embodies the dancehall superstar’s typical blend of bombast, brooding, and brukking out, while also delving into the genre’s flexibility and importance on current music.

To get fans ready for the forthcoming album, Popcaan teamed with Drake to drop off the first OVO single of 2023 in “We Caa Done.” The new single is co-produced by TRESOR and Batundi and comes with a video directed by Theo Skurda during the team’s trio to Turks and Caicos.

“‘We Caa Done’ is all about persevering,” Popcaan said of the single. “We don’t think about limits. We’re living the life we’ve dreamed of, and despite what the haters and naysayers have to say, we will only be greater.”

You can hear the new single and see the video below.

Drake Featured On Popcaan’s New Single “We Caa Done”

Famed reggae artist Popcaan is helping his fans bring in the new year with the single “We Caa Done.” Featuring Drake, the four-minute track debuted on streaming platforms along with an official music video.

“We Caa Done” contains an infectious beat and melodic verses delivered by both artists. The new song’s visual shows Drake and Popcaan partying together on a boat and jet skiing while surrounded by blue water.

Born Andrae Hugh Sutherland in Jamaica, Popcaan rose to prominence in the early 2010s following his collaborations with Vybez Kartel and several successful solo tracks. Since then, he’s earned his place as a high-charting global artist, later teaming up with artists like Jorja Smith and the Gorillaz.

Popcaan’s new jam is his latest featuring Drake. The two previously joined forces for the Dancehall star’s songs “My Chargie,” “TWIST & TURN,” and “All I Need.” He also recently signed with Drake’s OVO Sound and released Vanquish, his first project with the label, in 2019.

In a 2020 feature for the FADER, Popcaan opened up about his vision for the future of music saying, “I want people to appreciate the dynamism of dancehall music. It doesn’t have to have that one particular sound to be considered dancehall.”

“Also, I want to encourage more international collaborations which will incorporate the fusing of various genres,” he then added.

Gearing up for the release of his upcoming album Great Is He, the 34-year-old teased the project’s cover art on his Instagram earlier this week, sharing it with his nearly three million followers.

Popcaan And Drake Throw An Island Party In Their New ‘We Caa Done’ Video

Popcaan and Drake have another hit on their hands. On their new collaboration, “We Caa Done,” the two remind us that they are running the game, as Drake maintains his status as a genre-fluid hip-hop icon, and Popcaan reiterates his longevity as one of the biggest names in Afrofusion.

In the song’s accompanying video, Popcaan and Drake are seen partying near the ocean, surrounded by beautiful women, lush waters, while wearing lavish fashions.

This is the fourth time Popcaan and Drake have collaborated. Drake was featured on Popcaan’s 2020 project, FIXTAPE on the songs “All I Need” and “Twist & Turn.” Popcaan is also credited as a co-writer on Drake’s “Controlla” from his 2016 album, Views.

In an interview with The Recording Academy, Popcaan shouted Drake out, and noted that the platform Drake shared with him early on in his career helped him garner popularity for himself and for Afrofusion music in the US.

“By being around Drake and the whole connection, it gave me a lot of exposure,” Popcaan said. “We have a chemistry where music is concerned and whatever we do, it’s always [about] just [doing] something great … It’s a very great link, and it’s very good for my culture as well.”

Popcaan is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Drake Directs TVGUCCI’s Latest Video For “BORA BORA”

It seems as though TVGUCCI is planning to have an active year in 2023. On New Year’s Day, he released a new single and accompanying video, “BORA BORA.” The video’s director is none other than Drake.

Donning a few heavyweight OVO chains and pendants, the “DUMMY” rapper turns up alongside the rest of the OVO crew. “I visit Bora Bora ’cause I’m bored / Swish, I scored / First class, all aboard / Vision clear like the board / Gucci drip, I need more,” the Toronto rapper spits in the hook of the braggadocios track.

Although it’s still unclear as to whether or not TVGUCCI has been officially signed to the OVO Sound label, he has been closely affiliated with them for years.

On Friday (December 31), fans began noticing that some OVO signees’ albums were no longer on streaming services. PARTYNEXTDOOR and Majid Jordan‘s catalogues briefly disappeared, but are now back on the platforms.

However, on Monday (January 2), the label took to their Instagram account to make an announcement. “OVO SOUND ’22, NEW SOUND ALL ’23,” reads the caption. One of the photos recaps all of their 2022 releases, which includes dvsn’s Working On My Karma and Smiley’s deluxe version of Buy or Bye 2.

Furthermore, a new Popcaan single and video featuring Drake is releasing on Friday (January 6). “We Caa Done” is the title.

Evidently, the new Popcaan and Drake single, as well as TVGUCCI’s latest offering are the start of OVO’s new sound. Check out the Drizzy-directed video below and comment your thoughts on it afterwards. Finally, make sure to stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest music news and releases.

21 Savage Flexed Both Old Hits And ‘Her Loss’ Faves For Amazon Music Live’s Final Concert Of 2022

Anytime I am able to hit a 21 Savage show, out of habit, I make that move. Floating on the massive success of his collaborative project Her Loss with Drake, the Grammy award-winning artist took to the RED Studios stage in Hollywood for Amazon Music Live’s final show of the year, so of course I had to be there.

The first time I saw 21 Savage live was at one of those iconic Ham On Everything (ironically, our UPROXX Sessions partner) warehouse parties in 2016. This was back when Savage was typecast as a “mumble” and “SoundCloud rapper” — descriptors that were meant to be taken in offense. At the same time, the Atlanta native had a whole crowd all the way in Los Angeles packed out in a smokey venue screaming all the words to “Red Opps” and “Skrrt Skrrt.” Oh, and the stage was packed out too! Three No. 1 albums, a Coachella performance, a Grammy award, a few platinum plaques, and an abundance of No. 1 hit songs later, it appears as if the “SoundCloud rapper” is doing alright.

Fast forward to his 2022 year-end Amazon Music Live appearance, and Savage is still bringing that same packed-out, energetic (but larger) crowd, only this time with an elevated stage presence immersed in glowing red light and billowing smoke. As the rap star emerged from backstage, he spun around in an accent swivel chair, donning the darkest of shades like a 9’0s R&B singer as he opened up the show with his phenomenal “Jimmy Cooks” verse from Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind.

Then, as the instrumental from Her Loss’ “3AM On Glenwood” softly played in the background, he got up from his chair, politely asked if the audience was ready to have a good time, and then requested they sing the next song with him. They sang along to all the songs, including his classic single “Red Opps” and Her Loss goodies such as “Major Distribution,” “More Ms,” “Privilege Rappers” and “Spin About U.” At some point, any hope for a surprise appearance by Drake quickly shriveled up as he continued to perform cuts off Her Loss solo. Even a pop-up from Young Nudy would have been dope, but most of the Amazon Music Live shows seem to lack guest appearances. No one seemed to mind though, because the energy in the building was so insane, especially with “Knife Talk” and “Rich Flex” as the evening’s closing numbers.

But honestly, Savage could’ve just performed any one of his projects, from The Slaughterhouse Tape to I Am > I Was to Savage Mode 2 to Her Loss, and a good time would still be had. Anyone who says Savage doesn’t have any songs in his catalog that will be remembered forever should absolutely revisit his entire discography. The way he was able to effortlessly weave in and out of his varying musical eras while keeping the crowd hype and turning the VIP lounge into the club, is why pulling up to 21 Savage show will always and continue to be the move.
