NBA YoungBoy Disses Drake, J.Cole, And Lil Yachty In “F*ck The Industry Pt. 2”

Yesterday, NBA Youngboy posted the tracklist for Richest Opp on his Twitter account. The mixtape is set to have 17 tracks, which is quite a bit considered the 33-song album he just released in April. While YoungBoy does tend to release a ridiculous amount of material, there is a good reason for it. He has been on house arrest for years. Despite the ongoing beef with Lil Durk and his online rants, the rapper is currently living a relatively peaceful life in Utah. YoungBoy has been facing legal issues since he was arrested for federal gun charges several years ago. Sadly, because of this, he cannot make public appearances.

While YoungBoy might be on house arrest, he is still achieving huge career milestones. He just became the youngest rapper ever to have 100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His first single, “Untouchable,” reached number 95 in 2017, and since then, he has managed to chart an additional 99 times as either a lead artist or a featured artist. Youngboy joins an elite group of rappers, including Nicki MinajDrakeLil Wayne, and Jay-Z, who have achieved this feat. He will no doubt chart again with some of the songs from his new mixtape. It seems like there might be some pretty controversial cuts on the album.

YoungBoy Is Coming For Everybody

With NBA YoungBoy’s new release close at hand, new bits and pieces about the project have been dropping online. His recent social media activity indicates that this mixtape will likely be more aggressive in tone. Just hours before the album’s release, the lyrics to the song “F*ck The Industry Pt. 2” were shared via social media. One thing is for certain: YoungBoy isn’t pulling any punches this time around.

In the new song, YB directly calls out several high-profile artists including Drake, J. Cole, and Lil Yachty. He even outlined the specific disses by putting the targets’ names in red. “Talk to Drake cross Facetime, he wasn’t feeling me,” the lyrics read. “Told me that he f*ck with Durk, damn that sh*t getting to me.” It looks like YoungBoy is going all out on this new mixtape. It will be interesting to see who else the rapper calls out in the 16 other tracks. What do you think of the lyrics to “F*ck The Industry Pt. 2”? Let us know in the comments!

More Drake Leaks Surface Including Lil Wayne Collaboration and Beyoncé

It appears more Drake leaks have hit the internet after the PARTYNEXTDOOR collab “Bricks” leaked late last night. Additionally, three more songs leaked online and have sent the internet ablaze. The first track is titled “Against The Wind,” with some lines eerily similar to Certified Lover Boy’s “The Remorse.” However, it’s a totally different instrumental that give it a completely new feel, plus the new bars help. The second song is called “Heated” in reference to Beyoncé’s latest album. Despite a snippet floating around the ‘net for awhile, this is the full version of the track and it doesn’t disappoint.

Furthermore, the last leaked track, the Lil Wayne collab is titled “Startrax.” Guessing from the lyrics and beat it was produced by the Neptunes as well. It’s a summertime jam that was possibly a cut for the original Tha Carter V. Moreover, this isn’t the first time The Boy has had his music leaked to the masses. A while back a song with Drake and Lil Uzi leaked called “At The Gates.” that had fans everywhere going crazy. It was the first time hearing Uzi on a track with the Toronto rapper. Check out the leaks below.

In other Drake news, the rap star recently shared his dad’s ancestry results on Instagram. The 6ix God revealed that the test results showed that he was mainly Nigerian with a few other nationalities as well. On Sunday night Drake shared the results saying, “This is my dad’s results, does this mean I’m a Naija man finally?” asking his followers. Henceforth, Denis Graham’s results show that he is 30% Nigerian. Not only that it also showed he had 28% for Cameroon, Congo, & Western Bantu Peoples, 11% for Ivory Coast & Ghana. He had another 8% for England & Northwestern Europe, along with other small percentages for Scotland, Mali, Benin & Togo, and Germanic Europe.

Despite all the leaks, Drake is still busy getting ready to hit the road with 21 Savage on their It’s All A Blur tour. Overall, what are your thoughts on the recent Drake leaks? Do you think there will be some new music from him on the horizon? Let us know if you’ve secured your tickets for the It’s All A Blur tour with Drake and 21 Savage below in the comments!

Best Drake x Nike Sneaker Collaborations

Nike has never been a stranger when it comes to collaborating with artists. When rap megastar Drake partnered with Nike, it seemed like a match made in heaven for sneakerheads and rap fans alike. A trendsetter himself, Drake has received exclusives from the iconic brand, leading to his own sneakers. The partnership produced hot releases that stayed on everybody’s radar. From exclusive collaborations, to simply letting the rapper have his first pick of unreleased sneakers, Nike and Drake’s relationship is strong.

The collaborations between the two have been some of the most sought-after kicks of the past few seasons. From the exclusive “Stage Use” Air Max to the popular NOCTA x Nike Hot Step Air Terra, the relationship between Drake and Nike continues to create bangers. Here are all the sneaker collaborations between Drake and sneaker giant, Nike.

Nike Air Max Plus “For Stage Use”

Already a popular sneaker from the brand, the Nike Air Max Plus only gained more hype when Nike gave Drake his own exclusive pair. Drake initially teased the shows on Instagram alongside OVO x NIke jerseys. Nike created the exclusive “Stage Use” Air Max Plus specifically for Drake, who debuted the shoes during the Aubrey & the Three Migos tour date in Vancouver, British Columbia. Features that make the shoe different from your usual pair of Air Max Plus are the exposed lacing system throughout the silhouette. The blue heel shank also adds a cool hit of color to the exclusive build. Sneakerheads also spotted Drake in a white and crimson red colorway of the sneaker.

Certified Lover Boy Nike Air Force 1’s

Also known as the “Love You Forever,” this collaboration between Drake’s NOCTA and Nike came during the winter 2022 season. Breathing life into a classic, the release adds the artist’s twist to the much-loved all-white Air Force 1 base. The shoe is virtually identical to a fresh pair of classic 1’s, except for the engraving on the heel, which reads, “Love You Forever” — an on-brand statement for the artist.

NOCTA x Nike Hot Step Air Terra

Another collaboration under Drake’s NOCTA sublabel, the Hot Step Air Terra puts Drake’s aesthetic likings to the forefront. The NOCTA Hot Step Air Terra came in multiple colorways, including “Triple Black”, “Champagne”, and purple. Nike also released a black and gold, as well as an all-white colorway, version of the sneaker. Like the OVO Jordan 11 “Snakeskin,” the Hot Step Air Terra also got a snakeskin-inspired rendition as well. Each colorway has a unique NOCTA branding on the tongue.

Air Jordan 4 “Raptors”

When this sneaker dropped during the surprise launch on Nike SNKRS, it almost immediately sold out. Now an extremely rare find, the “Raptors” Air Jordan 4 is a stand-out release from Drake and Nike’s collaborative history. However, the shoe sports the same exact purple, black, and red colorway as the original “Raptors” release. The difference between the original and this release is all in the sneaker’s tongue, which includes a purple Jumpman logo, and beneath it, Drake’s signature in red. With the new features matching the iconic colorway even more, this collaboration was a blessing to those who were able to grab them.

“Calipari” Air Jordan 8s

These exclusive kicks represent the Canadian rapper’s favorite NCAA team. Paying homage to the Kentucky Wildcats, this OVO x Nike collaboration was released as a pack. One pair featured a white leather upper accented by the Kentucky Blue and Red Jumpman. The other pair sports a black nubuck suede upper accented by Kentucky Blue. The shoes are also evidence of the strong relationship between Drake and Kentucky Men’s Basketball head coach, John Calipari, who received the exclusive pair as a gift. That pair, specifically, included signatures from Calipari and Drake branded on the sneakers.

“Hot 100” Air Jordan 6 Low

Drake’s album, Views ended up being an impressive hit, doing big numbers with hit singles like “One Dance.” This OVO and Nike collaboration was made as a tribute to Drake’s “One Dance” hitting number one on the Billboard Hot 100 list. A celebration of a proud achievement, this release has the flare of the artist. The shoe sports an all-white upper with a red Jumpman placed on the tongue. A closer look at the sneakers shows “Views” written on the lace lock. The same can be seen on the bottom of the sneaker through the shoe’s translucent outsole.

“Snakeskin” Air Jordan 11

One of the most exclusive drops of 2019, the OVO “Snakeskin” Air Jordan 11 continues to be a heavily sought-after sneaker. The attention-grabbing collab is one that is extremely rare to see on the street. Drake and Nike originally previewed the shoe in two colorways: pink and grey. The OVO Air Jordan 11 “Snakeskin” now also comes in two colorways of solid gold, all white, and black. Each colorway of the rare sneaker contains an exclusive snakeskin-inspired bottom. The shoe also features “45” embroidered on the heel, referencing Michael Jordan’s 1995 season. The snakeskin motif would be seen in other Drake x Nike collaborations in the future as well.

OVO Air Jordan 10

This collaboration between Drake’s OVO and Nike came in 2015 with the release of the sneaker’s all-white colorway. The shoe’s all-black colorway soon followed in February 2016. The white colorway sports an all-white base with metallic gold gracing the overlays, bottom, and outsole of the sneaker. The stingray skin overlays give even more life and variety to the sneaker’s white colorway as well. Seeing both a limited release and re-release, these kicks are another rare pair to find from Drake’s many collaborations with Nike.

OVO Air Jordan 12 Retro

Another buzz-worthy release from Drake and Nike, the OVO Air Jordan 12 also saw a short amount of time before being sold out on the Nike SNKRS site. The shoe was originally released in two colorways, “Retro White” and “Retro Black.” The latter debuted during the 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend. Both colorways contain textured faux stingray skin overlays, gold hardware, and OVO branding on the translucent outsole. Another rare collaboration between OVO and Nike, the sneakers currently still sell for over $1000 on sites like StockX.

OVO Air Jordan 8 Retro

The OVO Air Jordan 8 Retro was another modern spin on a classic. Released in 2018, the sneaker’s two colorways were revealed during the Jordan Brand All-Star unveiling in Los Angeles. The first colorway, “Retro White”, features hits of Metallic Gold and Varsity Red on its all-white base, as well as a Varsity Red Jumpman logo on the tongue. The second colorway, “Retro Black” features the same hits of Metallic Gold and Varsity Red Jumpman logo. Other details on the sneaker pack include Drake’s trademark OVO branding and OVO Owl logo branded on the shoes.

7 Underrated Drake Tracks That Deserve More Attention

Drake may have “more slaps than The Beatles” but his catalog runs so deep, that some songs go under the radar. In the past decade, he’s turned into a household name with a plethora of massive hit records. Still, some of his best work often deserve more recognition.

When discussing the most underrated Drake tracks, the standard differs from listener to listener. His least-streamed songs are bigger than many artists’ most popular songs. However, the records that we consider “underrated” is based on their comparisons to his chart-topping anthems. Below, we’ve ranked seven songs from Drake’s catalog that deserve more love.

7. “Free Spirit” (2011)

Drake and Rick Ross have a collaborative history that runs deep. They have a spotless track record of bangers like “No New Friends,” “I’m On One,” “Lord Knows,” and “Stay Schemin.” However, their most underrated collaboration is “Free Spirit,” a promotional song released ahead of Take Care. 40’s reversed and filtered production style bring out the best in Drake. Despite the hook’s overall toxic nature, the catchy and moody track stands as one of the most underrated in Drake’s catalog. The song is among the examples that spurred demand for a potential collaborative project.

6. “Connect” (2013)

On Nothing Was The Same, “Connect” follows the hit song that is “Hold On We’re Going Home.” “Connect” is not only the most underrated song on the album but is one of the Drake songs that deserves more attention. Drake creates music that perfectly soundtracks those late-night vibes. “Connect” slow and moody instrumental pairs with Drake’s signature sing/rap flow for a definitive song in his catalog. In addition, the lyrics about a dysfunctional relationship make it a quintessential Drake song that is worthy of more attention.

5. “Madonna” (2015)

2015’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late ranks high in Drake’s catalog. However, it also contains a few cuts that have been criminally overlooked. “Madonna”‘s hypnotic instrumental and Drake’s slurred inflections make the song one of the most special songs on the album. The incorporation of a Ginuwine sample also adds to the song’s brilliance.

4. “6PM In New York” (2015)

Drake’s “timestamp” songs counter any doubts the masses have about his ability to drop bars. “6PM In New York” has arguably one of Drake’s best verses ever. He solidifies his place as a rap legend and even prophesied his future success. He raps, “‘Best I Ever Had’ seems like a decade ago / Decadent flow and I still got a decade to go.” The song is a testament to his accomplishments and consistency as an MC, putting his lyrical skills on full display and even sending some subliminal jabs. “6PM In New York” is among Drake’s best verses and most underrated songs.

3. “30 For 30 Freestyle” (2015)

Drake’s solo track that closes the Future collab album What A Time To Be Alive, is a contemplative departure from the rest of the album. The 40-produced beat is minimal yet gorgeous, allowing Drake to remind his fans and the industry at large of all that he’s accomplished in his career. In a sense, “30 For 30 Freestyle” also serves as a victory lap for his 2015 run, where he released two successful albums and triumphed in a beef with Meek Mill. He even throws in the lyric, “the pen is working if you n****s need some ghost lines.” On an album full of hits like “Jumpman,” “30 For 30 Freestyle” is an underrated track of declaration that Drake’s jersey is forever in the rafters.

2. “Get Along Better” (2021)

The response to Certified Lover Boy may have been mixed, but there are plenty of gems on that album. In between the gimmicky songs (i.e. “Way 2 Sexy) are some quality songs that deserve more attention, like “Get Along Better.” While Drake and Ty Dolla $ign have worked together on a few records, “Get Along Better” might just be the best one. The instrumental brings the best R&B qualities out of Drake. However, it’s Ty Dolla $ign’s harmonies that elevates the song to the next level. Certified Lover Boy gets a lot of hate but “Get Along Better” is an album highlight and also one of Drake’s most underrated songs.

1. “Texts Go Green” (2022)

The immediate reaction from the masses to Drake’s dance/R&B-infused Honestly, Nevermind was overwhelmingly negative. The album deserves more credit and has aged incredibly well in the year since its release. The album’s production was phenomenal. It consisted of some of Drake’s best vocal performances, and he was experimenting at a time when fans wanted him to try something new. The production on “Texts Go Green” from Black Coffee is groovy yet subdued. Drake’s vocal performance is so smooth as he sings about a failed relationship that ended in blocked phone numbers. “Texts Go Green” is a clear highlight that deserves more attention from an underrated album.

PartyNextDoor & Drake’s Unreleased “Bricks” Surfaces Online

The Drake & PartyNextDoor combination has been missing from our playlists for a minute. However, with the release of “Her Old Friends” and PND’s appearance on Diddy’s “Sex In A Porsche,” we imagine that they might have new heat in the stash on the Mississauga-based artist’s next project, whenever that drops. Fortunately for fans, every so often, something out of the stash leaks online and makes waves. This week, it’s a record titled, “Bricks” that fans suspect was recorded roughly six years ago.

Fans were ecstatic to hear the collaboration between the two Canadian artists but they did point out that it sounds like it was recorded during the More Life era. “Bricks” contains a similar sample to Drake’s “Passionfruit,” which appeared on his 2017 project. On top of that, Drake uses a similar line on “Bricks” that he used on WizKid’s “Come Closer.” Regardless, it’s an exciting record that we hope will see and official release and add to their collaborative streak alongside songs like “Loyal,” “With You,” and “Recognize.”

The OVO team has been on the move this year, although fans remain on the edge in hopes that a new album from PartyNextDoor will come before the summer. The Canadian R&B songwriter released his last album, PARTYMOBILE in 2020 before sharing PARTYPACK later that year. However, with his recent single earlier this year, we anticipate that he could be coming through with some heat later this year. We could only hope that it’s here in time for summer 2023.

As for Drake, the Canadian singer is fresh off of the release of Her Loss with 21 Savage. The two rappers are now gearing up for their official tour, It’s All A Blur, which launches later this summer. Hopefully, Drake also has some new music in the stash this year. He debuted “Search & Rescue” last month before unveiling the highly-anticipated Lil Uzi Vert-assisted, “At The Gates.” Unfortunately, we can’t share the “Bricks” leak here but you could find it online fairly easily. Are you hoping to hear new music from Drake & PartyNextDoor soon? Let us know in the comment section below.

Drake Labels New Generation “Weak” After Cringey Jake Paul Vs. Nate Diaz Press Conference

An amateur boxer attempted to make a name for himself by testing Nate Diaz’s patience during the press conference with Jake Paul, which Drake labeled weak. The person, who is reportedly a member of Paul’s team, asked Diaz if he thinks he could beat his brother, Nick, in the ring. “Nate, I’m actually a boxer myself, and I’ve been trying to get into this undercard,” he said. “I’m just wondering if you think I could fight your brother Nick. If he’s anything like you, I think I’d beat his f—ng ass.”

Although officials tried to intervene, Nate Diaz was baffled by the question. Of course, he’s also known to be a hothead at times but he didn’t show it in this instance, largely because the individual was outnumbered. “Brother, you’re just gonna walk around the street or some shit? You know, all my homeboys see you right now? That was stupid, huh?” Diaz asked the individual, who later identified himself as Derek from Betr Media. “Yeah I’m pretty nervous right now,” he added. “Yeah, that was stupid… Hey, Derek from Betr Media. Stupid ass motherf—r. The f—k? You deserve your ass whooped,” Diaz concluded.

Drake Reacts To Heated Paul Vs. Diaz Press Conference

At this point, Jake Paul emerged to apologize to Nate for the hiccup, admitting that Derek was a member of his team. “He works for my company. I’ll handle that later, I’ll fire him later. I’m sorry about that, Nate,” Paul said. “Derek, shut up.” Overall, it was a cringeworthy moment that likely led to Derek from Betr Media’s bout with unemployment this morning. “I’m sorry,” Derek said timidly afterward.

To rub salt in the wound, the biggest recording artist in the world further heckled Derek. Drake took to Instagram shortly after the Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz presser and reacted to the back-and-forth. “Man why would u play with a real g [laughing emoji]. this is a weak generation,” he wrote. The Paul vs Diaz fight takes place on August 8th at the American Airlines Center. It’s bound to be a historical evening as it marks Diaz first fight as a boxer.

Billie Eilish Unexpectedly Shared A Drake Cover On Streaming Platforms But It’s Only A Minute Long

As fans wait for new Billie Eilish music, the singer has instead shared some old music: Yesterday (May 9), she brought “Hotline (Edit)” to streaming services. The track is just a minute long and it’s a cover of the Drake classic “Hotline Bling.”

While this may seem random, it doesn’t come completely out of nowhere.

Per setlist.fm, Eilish performed the song dozens of times in 2017 and 2018, seguing it into her own “Party Favor.” Those songs were paired up for a Record Store Day-exclusive vinyl release in 2018 and Eilish shared the two-minute “Hotline Bling” cover on Soundcloud shortly after. The newly shared version is just the second half of the Soundcloud upload.

As for why Eilish decided to share the one-minute version now, that remains unclear. “Hotline Bling” album Views just celebrated its seventh anniversary on April 29, so perhaps that make Eilish think about her old cover again.

Meanwhile, Eilish recently said of performing for huge crowds, “It’s weirdly in a way underwhelming when there’s more people. I played my first stadiums over the summer. […] I was like, ‘I’m in a stadium, it’s so sick, it’s so big, you’re a f*cking star.’ And then you’re on the stage and you feel like you’re alone. It feels like there’s a printed out wallpaper of thousands of people. They’re so far away that there’s like no intimacy.”

Listen to “Hotline (Edit)” and the longer 2018 Soundcloud version above.
