Drake Brought Out J Cole For A Suprise Performance At The Montreal Stop Of The ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’

Last night (July 14), Drake brought the It’s All A Blur Tour> to the Bell Centre in Montreal. Though 21 Savage was notably absent, Drake still had plenty of surprises for fans.

One of them being an appearance by collaborator and longtime friend, rapper J Cole. Cole walked through the crowd wearing a yellow shirt that read “The game has changed, you have been warned.”

Cole later arrived to the stage, where he performed his 2014 hit “No Role Modelz” alongside Drake.

Back in April, the two performed a special set at Cole’s Dreamville Festival 2023 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

At one of Cole’s shows in Miami back in 2021, Drake made a surprise appearance, where he performed three songs from his Certified Lover Boy album, where he told Cole “You are genuinely, without a doubt, one of the greatest rappers to ever touch a mic.”

Though the two rappers’ friendship goes back over a decade, the two have only released a handful of collabs — including 2010’s “In The Morning” and 2013’s “Jodeci Freestyle.” They have, however, loaned each other beats for their projects, and have brought each other out on stage over the years.

You can see some clips from the Montreal concert above.

Drake Had The Kentucky Men’s Basketball Team Come Over To His House

Drake‘s love of Kentucky men’s basketball is pretty well documented by this point. For years, Drake has made appearances in Lexington, like the time that he appeared at the team’s Big Blue Madness event and got to warm up with the rest of the roster, although he did find himself on the receiving end of some jokes due to a pretty ugly airball he launched from behind the three-point line.

Regardless, Drake and John Calipari’s squad are basically tied together at the hip at this point, and recently, this meant that the young men who suit up for the Wildcats got the chance to go hang out at Drake’s place. The Wildcats were greeted by a gigantic banner in front of the place and then got the chance to practice a bit on his basketball court.

Calipari, the longtime Kentucky coach, posted a video from Drake’s pool, confirming that they were, indeed, at Drake’s.

The Wildcats are in Toronto for Globl Jam, a tournament that features men’s and women’s teams from several different countries, with Kentucky basketball representing the United States. The team played against Canada on Thursday, and there is no word on who Drake wanted to win that game.

Drake & Bobbi Althoff’s Upcoming ‘The Really Good’ Interview Clip Is Awkward And Cringey, But Certainly Worth A Watch

Drake, can you do something for me? Get rid of your uncomfortable Drake-isms for me. The “Search & Rescue” rapper’s forthcoming appearance on TikTok influencer Bobbi Althoff’s The Really Good podcast will be awkward and cringey, as the teaser clip suggests, but it’s certainly worth a watch.

Following the satirical interview format made popular by creators such as Funny Marco, the pair engage in one of the most uncomfortable conversations we’ll see this week.

The clip opens with Althoff confessing, “I don’t know any other questions.” After a short exchange, the duo seemingly begins to flirt, and they get more comfortable under the sheets of the bed they share.

However, the funniest part of the clip, the influencer asks the musician, “Do you think it’s funny when your reference your own song? People could use that word, and it doesn’t mean your song.”

Drake replied in-between laughter, “I just thought that you were ending the interview on a note where you were like, ‘Haha, I do know your songs.’ You were just asking for a flight.”

“No, I don’t know your songs,” Althoff admits, much to Drake’s dismay.

Althoff hasn’t revealed when the full interview will be uploaded, but her followers have promised to tune in.

Police Are Investigating After Drake’s Dad Dennis Graham Received Disturbing Phone Calls

Police are investigating an incident of an unknown caller contacting Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, and making disturbing comments, according to TMZ. On Wednesday night (July 12), police say someone called and texted Graham repeatedly over the course of 15 minutes, and when Dennis answered, went on a rant about the Freemasons and Drake. The police took a report, but haven’t announced any leads for who might have called Graham or what they wanted.

It isn’t the first time Drake’s had to deal with stalkers. Last spring, a woman named Mesha Collins, who had previously broken into Drake’s house in LA and helped herself to sodas from his fridge, tried to sue Drake for invasion of privacy (to the tune of a whopping $4 billion — which he does not have, by the way) and filed a restraining order against him. If that seems backwards, well, Drake righted the ship a month later, seeking his own restraining order against her for constantly visiting his home and sending threatening emails. In one, she encourage him to shoot himself in the head.

Drake and his dad seem like they are friendly, if not close, with Drake joking with his pops about an ancestry test Dennis took. With his dad’s 30% Nigerian heritage, Drake cheekily wondered if “I’m a Naija man.”

J Hus Drops Highly Anticipated Album “Beautiful And Brutal Yard”

Since the success of his previous album, Big Conspiracy, fans have eagerly awaited J Hus’ next solo project. The release of Beautiful And Brutal Yard marks a significant moment for the artist’s career, especially after a three-year period of scarcely releasing music. Hus kicked off the campaign for his latest album with the release of “It’s Crazy.” The accompanying marketing campaign created a sense of anticipation as billboards, police tape, and mysterious phone recordings were scattered throughout East London, breeding curiosity and excitement surrounding his next opus.

However, the release of “Who Told You” ft. Drake ensured fans that the album’s release was imminent. With a high-profile collaboration from Drake, who has shown Hus nothing but love from the jump, the two artists topped the UK charts, marking J Hus’ second #1 single following “Must Be.” Still, the release of Beautiful And Brutal Yard showcased that he had much more in store for fans who’ve demanded for the Afroswing vibes for their summer playlists.

Jermaine Dupri and Drake Team for Documentary on Magic City

Jermaine Dupri Offers Clarity To Forthcoming Freaknik Doc

Jermaine Dupri is not stopping at Freaknik with his documentary skills. Dupri announced he and Drake have teamed up for a cinematic look into the legendary strip club Magic City.

According to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, the doc will be called Magic City: An-American Fantasy and will explore the club’s place in Hip-Hop history and launching artists we have come to love since 1985. The doc will highlight Magic City’s role in crime, entrepreneurship, and women’s sexuality and commodification.

“Magic City is a second home for me,” said Dupri. “It’s the one place where celebrities, hustlers, politicians, and Atlanta locals all come together. I’ve watched it evolve over the years from a local joint to an internationally recognized spot. It’s about time we tell this story the right way.”

Joining Dupri and Drake’s DreamCrew Entertainment in creating the doc are producer Cole Brown, production company Scheme Engine and actress and Atlanta Hawks co-owner Jami Gertz.

Drake Fans In Boston Lined Up At 6 AM To Secure The Best Views For The ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’

Drake may or may not have just incurred a hefty fine for playing his recent Detroit tour stop way too late, but some fans have been showing up to his next It’s All A Blur stop way too early. A Twitter account called Only In Boston has posted a photo purporting that some Drake fans have pulled up to the North Station of TD Garden in order to gain access to the floor section for his show there tonight.

The venue uses a wristband system to organize entry for general access, lining fans up for the show entry according to the numbers on the wristband they acquired in the morning. So these concertgoers are more than likely only grabbing their wristbands for later, but the sight has still prompted confusion, derision, and wonderment on Twitter.

From some of the responses, it seems that the system isn’t as widely known or understood as it could be, while some of those who had already attended previous shows say it’s not worth it. Then, there are the Drake haters, who just sound a little mad that they couldn’t get tickets.

Meanwhile, Drake’s tour so far has proved eventful, as the Canadian star has been beaned with phones, announced new albums, and stoked old rivalries. You can see the remaining tour dates here.
