Drake Named “Rap Caviar’s” 2023 MVP

One of the most popular accounts on Spotify has to be “Rap Caviar.” Especially with the hip-hop genre being one of the most popular across the globe. Their playlist currently sits at 15,521,112 followers and routinely has the most well-known rap hits and stars featured. As the hip-hop community is more than aware, Drake is almost always at the top of the heap. Overall, it is hard to picture who else is over him for “Rap Caviar’s” MVP for 2023.

With no Drake album until For All The Dogs later this year, his feature run is undeniable. Some of his most notable are his two appearances on Young Thug’s surprise album BUSINESS IS BUSINESS. He shows out for “Parade on Cleveland,” and “Oh U Went” with over 33 million spins. Then, Drake and Travis Scott who consistently deliver on their collaborations, teamed up for “MELTDOWN” off of UTOPIA. Using some ASMR style he went into an intimidating but whispered flow while taking shots at Pharrell and Pusha T.

“Rap Caviar” also has an All-Rap First Team featuring 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, and Metro Boomin alongside Drake. All four of these respective artists have hits under their belts too. Lil Uzi gave fans the long-awaited Pink Tape about a month ago. Metro Boomin not only put out HEROES & VILLAINS at the end of 2022 but also curated the soundtrack for Spider Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Some fans did not mince their words on Drake’s selection for this award either.

One comment reads, “And yet he’s a terrible rapper,” with another saying, “This man can’t rap, please stop. No one cares about tik tok shower music.” How do you feel about Drake being atop the list for ‘RapCaviar’s’ 2023 MVP? Who do you think deserved to be the best hip-hop artist? Drake Reached Out To The ’36G Bra’ Girl After She Impressed Him At A Show And Gave Her Life Advice

Following one of Drake’s recent shows, a girl named Veronica Correia has gone viral after she threw her 36G bra onstage and the rapper took notice. Since then, the 21-year-old got a reported offer from Playboy and is buzzing in the news.

Now, in a new interview with the Club Ambition podcast, she is sharing her side of the story — and some reveals about her DMs with Drake after it happened.

“He slid up on a story and just laughed at one,” Correia said. “I took a day or two to respond. You know, ’cause I just didn’t know what to say, so I just liked it. And then I wrote out this paragraph basically just thanking him for the experience, like an awesome show. And then I told him that I own the coffee shop in Cumberland and asked him just if he liked coffee and how he likes it.”

As she pointed out, Drake revealed that he takes his coffee “iced and sweet” and continued to laugh at all of her messages. The rapper also commented on the fact that she’s really “sought after” right now.

“He said just to live your amazing life like people are faceless and they would never really say the negative comments to you,” she continued. “So, that was like, ‘Awww!’”

Drake Was Allegedly Forced To Cancel His ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’ Memphis Show Due To Production Issues

With every stop it makes, Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour has delivered a memorable moment to get fans talking. Whether the rapper is hinting at his future music plans or sharing a tender moment with his mother onstage, the “Parade On Cleveland” rapper has treated countless ticketholders to several memorable encounters. Unfortunately, those planning to experience it for themselves when the tour stopped in Memphis, Tennesee, are out of luck.

According to Commercial-Appeal, the It’s All A Blur Tour date set for August 6 has been officially canceled. The publication alleges that a member of Drake’s team told a representative for the hosting venue, FedEx Forum, “Due to the magnitude of the production of the Drake concert, it is logistically impossible to bring the show as designed to the FedEx Forum on August 6. Unfortunately, the show is canceled.”

Fans held out hope when the show was initially rescheduled back in June. However, now that the Ticketmaster landing page for the show displays the note, “The event organizer has had to cancel your event,” that ship has sailed. The report says concertgoers will be fully refunded based on Ticketmaster’s refund policy.

Drake has shown the city of Memphis great admiration. This played a part in his being awarded the key to Shelby County, where the city is located.

Angus Cloud Tributes Poured In From Across The Hip-Hop World, With Drake, Questlove, And More Offering Thoughts

In the wake of Angus Cloud’s death earlier this week, tributes to the late actor have poured in from across the hip-hop world. The actor, who was 25 and best-known for his role as Fez on Euphoria, was apparently beloved in the hip-hop community and counted a number of rappers among both his fans and friends. While luminaries like Drake and Questlove likely loved Cloud from afar as fans of his work, others, like 03 Greedo and Guapdad 4000, apparently shared closer connections.

Quest, for instance, shared his thoughts on Instagram, writing, “Fez was the spiritual center of Euphoria and definitely my fav character on the show. Love to his entire family and to those who knew him.” Drake simply shared a photo of the actor captioned “good soul.”

However, Bay Area natives like Guapdad 4000 and Mistah F.A.B. had more personal observations, sharing memories of their encounters with Angus. “It’s weird posting when my friends from oakland die..it happens so much i cant keep up,” wrote Guap. “its weirder posting when my ‘famous’ friends die . So this one is double weird . It’s hard to find someone from the same place doing what you do and being where u at. Bay Area Icon.”

F.A.B., meanwhile, remembered Cloud’s visits to his store Dope Era in Oakland, recalling that the actor would “come in and drop bands.” “I’m saddened to see the news of him passing because he was such a humble human,” he reflected. Another California rapper, 03 Greedo, remembered how Cloud would DM him to keep his spirits up while he was incarcerated in Texas on drug charges.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Drake Remembers ‘Euphoria’ Star Angus Cloud: ‘Good Soul’

Drake Remembers 'Euphoria' Star Angus Cloud: 'Good Soul'

Euphoria star Angus Cloud died at the age of 25 on July 31. With his death rippling across the entertainment industry, Drake, producer for Euphoria, offered a salute to Cloud.

Drake posted a picture of Cloud to his Instagram story, penning “Good soul 😢🕊.”

Cloud’s family released a statement after news broke of his death:

“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.

We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”

Drake Concert Attendee Dissed For Using Phone While Standing Feet Away From Rapper

For many Drake fans, the opportunity to experience one of his concerts from floor seats would be a dream come true – one that leaves them unable to take their eyes away from the performance unfolding in front of them. That definitely isn’t the case for everyone at his It’s All a Blur tour, even with the astoundingly expensive ticket prices. During a recent show of Champagne Papi’s, a female attendee caught the internet’s attention with the uninterested expression on her face amid the concert.

As the 36-year-old does his best to entertain the thousands watching on, one of those fortunate enough to be just feet away from him couldn’t stop checking her phone. Near the end of the clip she appears to be capturing a video of Drake singing, but still, social media isn’t letting her off easily. “Why she on her phone?” a TikTok user asked after catching the video. “The girl in the back trying hard to be mysterious ✨,” someone else speculated, suggesting that she thought playing nonchalant would attract the performer’s attention her way.

“Y’all getting mad she on her phone not knowing people deal with anxiety differently,” someone else chimed in, giving the anonymous woman some grace. Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a concert patron go viral this month. Just last week, the woman who threw her 36G bra on stage at Drizzy landed herself a deal with Playboy‘s content-selling service.

Drake recently wrapped up an impressive string of shows in New York City, and he couldn’t help but make an appearance at Starlets Strip Club. Not only did the Canadian leave behind Travis Scott’s UTOPIA briefcase, but he also spoke with Sidetalk NYC about what he looks for in a woman these days.
