Kendrick Lamar Has Reportedly Generated This Much Money From “Not Like Us”

Kendrick Lamar is easily one of the biggest artists in the world, and the last couple of weeks have certainly proved that. Overall, it can be easy to forget Lamar’s chart dominance as he takes a decent amount of time between projects. However, throughout his beef with Drake, he has been dropping a plethora of songs that are doing extremely well on the charts. For instance, “Not Like Us” is the biggest song in the world. Furthermore, “Euphoria” is currently third on the charts, with “Meet The Grahams” coming at number 12.

Throughout the past week, “Not Like Us” has broken a plethora of Spotify streaming records. It broke some of Drake’s longstanding records, and it was also the fastest track to hit over 100 million streams. Despite this being a diss record, it has a ton of replayability, with Lamar beating Drizzy at his very own game. According to DJ Akademiks, this song has certainly led to a lot of financial success for Kendrick. In fact, in the first week of its release, “Not Like Us” has brought in a total of $280K. Of course, this is an estimation based on sales numbers and the fact that the song is already eligible for Gold certification.

Young Thug Thinks This Of The Drake & Kendrick Lamar Beef

Young Thug has been in jail for over two years now due to the Rico case against him in the state of Georgia. Overall, this has left him out of the loop on many of the inner-workings of the music industry. However, he does have an inside source these days in Mariah The Scientist. The R&B singer has been visiting Thugger in prison and has been able to play him some music, while also explaining the intricacies of rap beef. Of course, we are talking about the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

Given that Thug has a relationship with Drake and Metro Boomin, one would be curious to know what he thinks about what’s happening. Although as Mariah The Scientist explains, he isn’t really taking sides. “For sure. I tell him everything. I might tell him too much. I play him the [diss] songs over the phone and s–t. He’s a lover of music in general,” she explained. “He f–ks with everybody. I don’t think he would ever be able to – let me not speak for him. He love music though.”

Subsequently, Mariah The Scientist went on to say how Thugger feels about the beef in general. “He thinks it’s interesting, for sure,” she noted. “We were listening to some of the songs. Not all of them, because now I’ve gotten lost. In the beginning, I was like, ‘Hey, there’s a tizzy going on.’ I played him some of it. I feel like those two people are both great rappers. With all of the rappers with the guy and the girl rappers, granted it’s cool for the craft, and to be able to keep up with that — because let me not lie and say there’s no competitive energy in the music industry. Because there is.”

Dame Dash Thinks Drake’s Career Is Suffering: “Things Are Different Now”

It’s a good time to be a Kendrick Lamar fan. Conversely, it’s a tough time to be a Drake fan. Lamar beat Drake is what’s being described as the definitive rap battle of the 21st century. Both rappers proved they could hang, but Lamar managed to snag a number one single with “Not Like Us.” His streaming numbers have also seen an uptick in recent weeks, while Drake’s have dipped. Nobody thinks the 6 God’s career is over, but there is a general sense that his reputation has taken a hit. This is something Dame Dash recently explained during a barbershop interview.

Dash, who previously picked Kendrick Lamar to win the battle, had praise for both rappers. He said that their back-and-forth represented the greatest battle in hip-hop history. “As a battle,” the mogul asserted. “This is the best battle of all time. I been through… I been in hip-hop for a while, this has been the most impactful battle.” High praise from the man who stood by Jay-Z during the legendary Nas battle of the early 2000s. The reason Dash holds Drake vs. Lamar in such high regard is because he felt as though their songs actually impacted each other. Drake, in particular.

“The battle songs are changing the trajectory of that artist’s life,” Dash noted. “It just seems like, things are different for Drake right now. I’ve never seen this happen before.” The co-founder of Roc-A-Fella was shocked by how brutal and critical Lamar got with regards to Drake’s personal life. “This sh*t was real,” he added. “I mean it turned into war.”

There’s validity to Dash’s statements, but Drake’s star power is still immensely brighter than Lamar’s. K. Dot was able to score his second solo number one with “Not Like Us,” but Drake’s “Family Matters” also came it at number seven. Drake still has 11 more number ones that his opponent. The aforementioned streaming dip is also somewhat misleading. Lamar saw a 49% boost after he won the battle, and Drake saw a 5% fall off. Even with these numbers taken into account, though, Drake lapped Lamar.

The Toronto rapper pulled in 100.7 million streams from May 3-6, while Lamar only managed 50.62 in the same time span. Drake still wins the numbers game at the end of the day. It will be interesting to see how much fan opinion impacts his legacy in the long run, however.

Gunna Reveals Whether He Considered Pushing Back “One Of Wun” Amid Drake & Kendrick Lamar Beef

Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s viral feud has mostly fizzled out by now, but nonetheless, its lasting impact on hip-hop continues to be a hot topic of debate. Amid the debacle, Gunna unveiled his fifth studio album, One Of Wun. Despite arriving at a time when fans were largely distracted by Drake and Kendrick’s beef, it’s been fairly well received. It’s projected to move 60-65k album-equivalent units in its first week. This would be a slight drop-off from his last effort, A Gift & a Curse.

During a recent airport chat with TMZ, the hitmaker revealed whether or not he ever considered pushing the release back to avoid being overshadowed by all of the drama. He says that it never crossed his mind. According to Gunna, he’s laser-focused on his own endeavors, so much so that he oftentimes overlooks whatever else is going on in the space.

Gunna Says He Didn’t Consider Delaying His Release

“I’m in my own just… You know how that be. Like, I don’t even really see other sh*t that’s going on,” he explained. “It’s hard to see.” Fans certainly can’t blame Gunna for being distracted. Aside from releasing a new full-length project, he’s also just kicked off his “Bittersweet” tour, which is another massive undertaking in itself. He also just announced the launch of his new clothing line, P By Gunna, which is scheduled for June 5 of this year.

Unfortunately, however, that announcement wasn’t as well received as his other projects have been. As a photo of his P By Gunna billboard in NYC made its rounds online last week, an up-and-coming artist took to TikTok to accuse the rapper of stealing his logo. DJ Akademiks Gets Called Out For Defending Drake’s Kiss With Underage Girl

It’s no secret that DJ Akademiks is a loyal Drake supporter, but during a recent stream, viewers called him out for crossing the line. Ever since Kendrick Lamar accused Drake of being interested in minors on “Not Like Us,” social media sleuths have been looking back on the Canadian rapper’s past. They’ve managed to dig up some seriously questionable moments in the process. In one resurfaced clip, for example, he’s seen thirsting over a 17-year-old girl onstage, and kissing her even after she told him how old she was.

For obvious reasons, the clip has many viewers concerned and convinced that Kendrick may have been on to something. DJ Akademiks, on the other hand, thinks it doesn’t prove much. During a recent stream, he debated with his own fans about the clip, leaving them in awe with his willingness to brush off the behavior.

“That was like 15 years ago,” he says in a clip from the stream. “Drake was like 20. I’m not saying that was cool…” Immediately, the fans began to question his take, calling him out for defending the performer. “Hold on, so just because it was 15 years ago, it completely negates the fact that he found out she was underage and then proceeded to kiss her on the lips?” one of them asked. “I’m not saying it’s not odd,” Ak responded. “I’m just saying if that’s the only thing you have and you’re trying to paint him as this weird sexual deviant, and that’s the only thing you can fall back on because nothing else holds water…”

Kendrick Lamar Albums Continue To Ascend Billboard Charts Following Drake Battle

Kendrick Lamar is one of the biggest hip-hop artists of all time. However, the same could be said of Drake. In fact, when it comes to pure numbers, Drizzy remains at the top. Overall, Drake’s reign at the top has been put in serious jeopardy thanks to his recent battle with Lamar. In the eyes of fans, Drake was thoroughly outclassed by his opponent. Furthermore, Kendrick has been winning the numbers battle as “Not Like Us” became the number-one song on the Billboard charts. It’s been wild to watch unfold, and throughout this entire journey, Kendrick has remained out of the public eye.

As it turns out, this success in the battle has led to a whole lot of success as it pertains to the album charts. When it comes to the Billboard Hot 200, Kendrick’s albums have been seeing huge increases in their chart position. For instance, DAMN is currently 18th on the chart. However, it was down at 41 just last week. Additionally, To Pimp A Butterly has gone from not being on the list, all the way up to 109. Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers as well as good kid, m.A.A.d city have also seen lots of success. The former went from 192 to 55. While the latter went from 51 to 23.

Kendrick Lamar Continues To Dominate

This is in stark contrast to Drake, who has seen all of his albums lose positions on the charts. It shows that listeners are currently siding with Kendrick, and they want to hear if he may have dissed Drake elsewhere in his discography. If Lamar were to drop an album this year, there is no denying it would do some incredible numbers in its first week.

Drake Vs. Kendrick Lamar: Dame Dash Declares Winner Of The “Best Battle Of All Time”

Drake and Kendrick Lamar just participated in one of the most legendary rap battles of all time. Overall, there was a lot of animosity here that culminated in some diabolical tracks. The three most shocking songs were “Family Matters,” “Meet The Grahams,” and “Not Like Us.” Since then, “Not Like Us” has become the number one song, while tracks like “Euphoria” are number three on the top 100. It hasn’t been great for Drake, and at this point, the vast majority of people are declaring Kendrick as the winner.

While on the America Nu Network, Dame Dash spoke at length about the recent feud. In here, he noted that this was the greatest battle of all time. Furthermore, he gave us a definitive winner in the Drake Kendrick Lamar war. “As far as fighting goes, in this moment, Kendrick won,” Dame noted. “It’s almost by far now. Last week, it was neck and neck, but after the last exchange with the pedophile thing and the response and the [impact] of ‘Not Like Us,’ it seems like he’s disrupted Drake’s life.”

Dame Dash went on to say that he has never seen an artist like Drake be dismantled in this fashion. Did Drake Diss Kendrick Lamar On “The Shoe Fits?”

Drake and Kendrick Lamar have been embroiled in perhaps the largest rap beef of all time. Overall, it escalated extremely fast. For 10 years, it has been bubbling, however, fans were only subjected to subliminal bars that were up to interpretation. That all changed when Kendrick dropped his verse on “Like That” which subsequently led to the release of “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.” Lamar did not take kindly to these and ramped things up with “Euphoria” and “6:16 In LA.”

Eventually, “Family Matters,” “Meet The Grahams,” “Not Like Us,” and “The Heart Part 6” were released in a 48-hour timespan. In the end, Kendrick was declared the winner by most, especially with “Not Like Us” going number one. Now, Drake fans are going back into his catalog to see if he may have dissed Kendrick elsewhere. Well, fans have discovered some interesting bars on the song “The Shoe Fits” which comes off of Drizzy’s Scary Hours 3 EP which acted as a deluxe to For All The Dogs.

In the song, Drake raps “All your fuckin’ captions lately talkin’ bout happy and glowin’/all of that snappin’ and posin.’” For some, these are allusions to Whitney Alford, although it could be about anyone. Subsequently, in the track, Drake talks about the woman being slapped around by her partner. Of course, Drake accuses Kendrick of domestic violence on “Family Matters.” Because of these connections, fans believe Drake was talking about Lamar on this song. However, there is no confirmation that this is true. Once again, he could be talking about anyone. Regardless, fans are going to craft their theories, and “The Shoe Fits” is proving to be a prophetic song within the Drake fanbase.

Drake Vs. “The Riddler”: Christopher Alvarez Breaks His Silence After Being Caught Up In Bizarre Conspiracy Theory

Drake has been at the center of numerous conspiracy theories over the years. However, that has ramped up given his latest feud with Kendrick Lamar. Throughout songs like “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us,” Lamar accuses his enemy and his crew of being pedophiles. These are massive allegations and they typically come with understandable outrage. This subsequently leads to people putting their detective hats on, although that doesn’t always lead to solid work or valid theories.

Over the weekend, a Twitter account popped up called “EbonyPrince2K24.” The account posted some esoteric surveillance footage from The Mark Hotel, where Drake was staying at points throughout 2023. Moreover, the account was posting the items from the “Meet The Grahams” album cover. They noted that Akademiks and Drake had until Monday to apologize for calling them a liar. If not, they would spill the beans. Well, Monday came and went and the account provided no information. However, Christopher Alvarez, the disabled journalist in the surveillance footage, came out and dispelled some of the rumors and conspiracy theories that were going around. Some thought that Drake had assaulted the reporter, and that’s why EbonyPrince2k24 was bringing him up. As it turns out, that is not the case whatsoever.

“I was with Drake that night because we briefly met after dinner, but all the accusations are false,” Alvarez wrote in an article posted to The Brooklyn Eagle. Alvarez went on to note that all of these conspiracy theories are extremely disappointing. He has worked incredibly hard for his reputation as a reporter, and he felt as though a lot of this could have put his career at risk. It is yet another example of the internet doing way too much. Meanwhile, the account now known as “The Riddler” hasn’t posted anything since Monday afternoon. Once Alvarez posted his own story, EbonyPrince2K24 went ghost. We still don’t know who is behind the account.

Drake Posts New Photos Of Himself In Nike Gear As Kendrick Lamar Feud Comes To An End

Drake has had a pretty rough week and for obvious reasons. Overall, his beef with Kendrick Lamar has not gone according to plan. Although he seemed confident that he would come away with a win, Lamar stepped on “Family Matters” with “Meet The Grahams.” A Day later, Kendrick rectified the vibes by dropping “Not Like Us.” That record has since become the biggest song in the world and many believe it has the potential to be the song of the summer. Needless to say, Drake has been bested in the same way he typically defeats other artists.

Based on some information from the likes of DJ Akademiks, it would appear as though this feud is over, at least for now. Even Drake seemingly threw up the white flag on Sunday with his latest post about summer vibes. That said, it doesn’t seem like Drake has any interest in going away and hiding. We know this because this morning, he took to his Instagram story and offered up some fit pics. As you can see down below, Drake was wearing what appeared to be a reflective Nike NOCTA jumpsuit.
