Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s iconic feud will be examined in an upcoming documentary titled, Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake, according to Deadline. It will feature archival footage as well as interviews with friends and collaborators of both artists.

Shaminder Nahal, head of specialist factual for Channel 4, discussed the project in a statement: “Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake is not just a biography; it’s a cultural exploration of two of the most influential voices in modern music. This documentary will delve into the unique journeys of Kendrick and Drake, examining how their backgrounds, talents, and visions have made them global icons.”

Acme Films, who previously produced the film, Public Enemies: Jay-Z v Kanye, in 2017, will be handling the project. The company’s creative director, Jaimie D’Cruz, added: “It’s only a few years since our previous Public Enemies film for Channel 4 explored the rivalry between Jay Z vs Kanye. But Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake feels like a story that takes place in a time when all the rules have changed, and beef is all around us.”

The documentary announcement comes after Drake made headlines for reflecting on losing friends and dealing with betrayal at a nightclub in Toronto over the weekend. “You’re gonna come to a point in life where people you thought were friends, or people you thought were close to you, they might switch up, they might try to move funny with you, they might stab you in the back, they might do a lot of things to you,” he said. “You’ll come to that realization. Wherever you’re at in life, you’ve probably been there, and you’ll be there again. That’s how life is. But look, sometimes it’s you and you alone, by yourself. Chris Brown Producer RoccStar Claims Singer Is Being Villainized In New Doc

Chris Brown has been a controversial figure for most of his career. His talent, and his ability to make hits is undeniable. His personal life, however, has been characterized by assault charges and allegations. The latter aspect will serve as the focus of an upcoming documentary. Chris Brown: A History of Violence will detail the alleged assaults that the singer has been accused of throughout the years. The ID release will include interviews with Brown’s alleged victims. One person who is opposed to the documentary, however, is the singer’s longtime producer, RoccStar.

TMZ asked RoccStar about the documentary, and the producer made it clear that he didn’t buy into the allegations. “I don’t understand,” he stated. “He’s probably one of the nicest, coolest dudes. That’s like one of my closest friends.” RoccStar, real name Leon Youngblood, Jr., also told the outlet that he felt the singer was being victimized by his accusers. “I just realized that the documentary wasn’t a positive doc,” he admitted. “I’m lost… We’re trying to go find victims now? I think that’s unbelievable.” RoccStar added that Chris Brown is one of the most successful artists of his generation, as well as a “family man.” He’s of the opinion that the singer’s critics should “get lives” of their own.

RoccStar Feels Chris Brown Has Become The ‘Victim’

“People are just trying to bring him down,” RoccStar opined. “He’s talented, man. Let him live. Let him do his thing… Now he’s the victim.” This is not the first time the producer has spoken up in defense of Chris Brown. RoccStar talked about his long-standing relationship with the singer during a recent appearance on AllHipHop. He also spoke highly of Brown’s process, and the fact that they’ve managed to make an impressive body of work together over the years. “CB don’t really mess with people too hard,” he said. “The fact that he trusted me to come in and make sure the frequency was tuned to where he’s going, in life and with tech, with different things.”

Chris Brown and RoccStar do go way back. The latter first worked with Brown on the 2014 release X, which yielded the smash hit singles “Fine China” and “Autumn Leaves.” Other albums with RoccStar production include Indigo (2019), Breezy (2022), and 11:11 (2023). RoccStar has been most involved with 11:11, providing production and songwriting on a whopping eight songs. The two are definitely in sync when it comes to the studio. One can only assume that RoccStar is going to skip out on watching the new doc. Chris Brown: A History of Violence, meanwhile, will air on the ID channel on October 27.

Megan Thee Stallion has been one of the biggest rappers of the 2020s. She’s also been one of the most polarizing. Megan has been able top drop massive singles, including a few number ones. She’s also been involved in behind-the-scenes drama that has boosted her public profile. The rapper has won a criminal trial against Tory Lanez, and a beef against Nicki Minaj. There’s no shortage of things to talk about when it comes to Megan Thee Stallion, which is why she’s getting her own documentary.

In Her Own Words will be a multi-part series, according to Variety. The documentary will chronicle the last two years of Megan Thee Stallion’s life. Years that have been characterized, as we mentioned, by staggering highs and very public lows. In Her Own Words is directed by Nneka Onuorah, who did an exemplary job with the Lizzo release, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls. The documentary was announced back in 2022, and fortunately, fans won’t have to wait long to watch it. In Her Own Words will land on Amazon Prime Video on October 31.

The overriding goal of the documentary is to set the record straight on Megan Thee Stallion’s life. She’s been the focus of countless allegations and rumors. “You’ve heard the hot takes and read the stories — now go straight to the source,” the description for In Her Own Words stated. This is not the first time the rapper has been the subject of a documentary. Megan’s legal battle with Tory Lanez was a topic of exploration in the recent Max release Megan Thee Stallion vs Tory Lanez: Five Shots.

Megan has not spoken at length about the documentary, but she talk to Billboard about her business ventures. She made it clear that she’s in complete control of her image at this point. “I’m proud of all my business deals because everything I do is personal to me,” she stated. “I put 100% into my partnerships, and I’m always so grateful when people want to step into my world.” This includes her endorsement of Presidential nominee Kamala Harris as well as her music. The rapper recently performed at a Kamala Harris rally, and her self-titled album topped Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in June.

Investigation Discovery has announced a new documentary that will detail Chris Brown’s alleged history of abuse. The network previously helmed the viral Nickelodeon exposé, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV. The upcoming project is titled, Chris Brown: A History of Violence, and will air on October 27th, according to Variety.

The logline for the documentary notes that it will detail, “Chris Brown’s past all the way back to his troubled childhood, explores the lasting impact of the cycle of abuse, and poses the question: how does a man with such a violent public record maintain his superstar status? With expert and cultural commentary layered throughout, the documentary provides thoughtful reflections into each survivor’s experience and the psychological destruction in the aftermath of their abuse.”

Amid Diddy’s longwinded legal battle, one of his most vocal critics has been 50 Cent. He consistently trolls the Bad Boy Records founder online and even began teasing a documentary about his legal woes late last year. In May, Fif made this a reality and sold the doc to Netflix. Now, the Alexandria Stapleton-directed doc has been confirmed, and its proceeds will go towards helping victims of sexual assault.

“This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far,” 50 Cent and Stapleton told Variety exclusively today. “We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives.”

Wendy Williams’ Guardian Sues A&E For Allegedly “Humiliating And Exploiting” Her

Earlier this year, Lifetime unveiled their controversial docuseries, Where Is Wendy Williams? The doc puts some of the beloved former talk show host’s most vulnerable moments on display, including her opening up about mental health issues. This resulted in mixed reactions among viewers. While some thought it was informative to showcase Williams’ struggles, others began to accuse producers of exploiting her. This was only compounded when it was revealed that she was diagnosed with dementia and aphasia.

Now, according to PEOPLE, Williams’ guardian Sabrina Morrissey has filed a lawsuit against A&E Television Networks and its executive producer. Reportedly, she accuses them of “humiliating and exploiting” Williams for money. Morrissey alleges that they’ve made “millions off Wendy’s back,” while only paying her $82K for her participation.

In the suit, Morrissey also alleges that the crew “kept filming, trolling for the most embarrassing and shocking footage to titillate and sell to their audiences.” Williams’ team is asking that A&E cover Williams’ medical expenses and supervision for the rest of her life. The lawsuit comes after Creature Films executive producer Mark Ford spoke with PEOPLE about the doc in February.

“There was a guardianship in place the entire time we were filming with Wendy that was court-appointed to oversee her finances and her medical care. Rihanna’s former publicist spoke out about a new documentary about Jay-Z and new drama that sparked because of it. YouTuber Trap Lore Ross published The Disturbing Death of Jay-Z’s ‘Mistress’ earlier this month. It centers on the mysterious death of 28-year-old model Cathy “Kori” White, who died in 2011 after suffering a reported brain aneurysm. White allegedly told Jay-Z that she was pregnant with his child prior to her death. Jay-Z was married to Beyoncé, and they were expecting their first child, Blue Ivy. Rumors ran rampant, and many concluded White’s death was more sinister than anyone let on.

The documentary mentioned a publicist named Jonathan Hay. Hay represented Rihanna at the start of her career when she was promoting her debut single, “Pon de Replay.” In the past, Hay admitted to making up a story about Rihanna and Jay having an affair. Hay’s goal was increased publicity for his artist, and it was a successful ploy. Following his mention in the new documentary, he took to Instagram to note there was much more to the story. After that, he went to AllHipHop and discussed it further.

“So I was like ‘f*ck Jay-Z,’ since he won’t give us any attention and he’s being disrespectful to Amil, who was a single mother,” said Hay. “I’m going to get his attention and be disrespectful back to Jay-Z, as Rihanna was the best thing on Def Jam by far. I thought Jay-Z was a dirtbag, so I put out the story that Jay-Z was in a love triangle with Rihanna and Beyoncé, and that caught fire, sparked conversation, increased radio airplay, press coverage and other forms of attention. I was in an unapologetic ‘by any means necessary’ state of mind.”

The rumor, while untrue, caused police to interrogate Hay. The police had their attention on Jay-Z for several years, ever since an incident between Jay-Z and former music executive Un Rivera. That incident ended with Jay-Z allegedly stabbing Rivera. Hay attempted to explain that the rumors of an affair between Jay-Z and Rihanna (then a 17-year-old) were a publicity stunt, but the police didn’t believe him. Eventually, they did, and Jay-Z’s team made Hay issue a public apology for his actions. Hay alleges that he was supposed to get his other clients promoted on TIDAL for his cooperation, but never did.

Foolio‘s mother, Sandrikas, says that she’s working on a documentary about the late rapper following his death, last weekend. In a lengthy statement on Instagram, on Tuesday, she explained that the “real” story is “coming soon” and reflected on her son’s passing. Foolio was shot and killed while celebrating his birthday in Tampa, Florida outside of a Holiday Inn.

“RIP Son … Charles Jones II ‘Foolio'[.] The ‘Real’ Life Story Documentary Coming Soon,” she wrote. “The story that only I can tell because I know the Truths from the Fakes, I think Im the ‘ONLY’ mother that keep it Real while MOST others know dam well what was going on with their OWN sons, this been going on since 2014-2015.”

She added: “Some of these same women ‘Celebrating’ your death is some of the same Women looked up to me, sitting in my building I was their TEACHER and they were my STUDENTS at a Big Grown Age taking notes, not lets forget that!!! The same women that was buying your CDs for their kids, lets not forget that!!! These same women sons did the same thing you did went tit for tat on this drill music in which I NEVER Condoned. Mfs ask where his mom, it starts from home!!! Them not knowing I stayed on you bout this beef chit, cussed u out, begged u to take stuff down and when I was SHOT 8 times, I spared their lives even tho mine was changed!!!”

Sandrikas concluded the message by giving a shout out to the artists that believed in her son from the beginning. She named Zaytoven and Young Thug specifically. “I do wanna THANK those who believed in him at the age of 17when he moved to ATL @rapcoalition, @zaytovenbeatz, especially thuggerthugger1, and others who had a impact on his career,” she added. 50 Cent’s Explosive True Crime Documentary “TikTok Star Murders” Is Coming Soon

On top of impressing fans with his “Final Lap” tour, 50 Cent has been hard at work on another project, this time focusing his efforts on the small screen. Recently, he announced an upcoming true crime documentary, TikTok Star Murders. The doc will cover the tragic story of Ana Marie Abulaban, a 28-year-old content creator who was murdered by her husband Ali Abulaban. She and her alleged lover, Rayburn Barron, were shot and killed in October of 2021. Last month, Ali was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder for the shooting.

TikTok Star Murders will reportedly feature never-before-seen cellphone footage, audio, and more. It will also include interviews with close family members and friends of the former couple. The doc will become available for streaming exclusively on Peacock on June 25.

Diddy has long been considered something of a boogeyman in hip-hop circles. Numerous rappers are seemingly scared to expose the mogul for his alleged wrongdoings. Despite his reputation, 50 Cent has been a public detractor of Diddy for years. This has culminated in 50’s constant trolling of the Bad Boy Records founder ever since Diddy’s legal troubles first began.

In the last year or so, Diddy has been accused of violently assaulting people, including his ex-girlfriend Cassie, as well as participating in numerous drug and sex trafficking crimes. 50 Cent even has a personal stake in Diddy’s operation, as his baby mama Daphne Joy has been accused of serving as Diddy’s sex worker. She has since denied the allegations.

Diddy and the members of his inner circle have not made things easier on themselves either. Last week, a video emerged which appears to show Diddy violently beating, kicking, and dragging Cassie throughout the hallways of a hotel. The LAPD issued a statement explaining that they would not pursue assault charges due to the statute of limitations. Still, Diddy seemingly admitted to his wrongdoing in the footage with a recent apology video. “I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help… Had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry,” he said in the video.

The Doc May Need Multiple Installments To Cover All The Details

50 Cent first flooded social media with fake renderings of posters for the Diddy documentary back in December 2023. While posting about the conception of Diddy Do It, 50 joked that he may need to continue adding new episodes as more victims continue to come forward. Diddy’s mounting legal trouble has seen something of a snowball effect in recent months. Multiple lawsuits, accusations, and a federal raid on Diddy’s residences have continued to compound.

Currently, there is no public confirmation of how many episodes Diddy Do It will span. There is a possibility that the Diddy documentary could continue on for multiple seasons.
