Diddy has been behind bars since for several weeks. The mogul has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since he was charged with racketeering and trafficking. According to TMZ, however, Diddy is still trying to make bail. The outlet reported that the Bad Boy founder issued another appeal to be released from MDC Brooklyn on bond. His legal team has filed documents appealing the most recent denial, claiming that he is not at risk for fleeing the country.
Diddy’s legal team previously offered a whopping $50 million bond, but it was denied at the urging of the prosecutors. The legal team, led by lawyer Marc Agnifilo, feel that the sizable bond amount ensures that Diddy will not be a flight risk. They also noted that the mogul has not had any female visitors besides the occasional family member. TMZ also reported that Diddy promised not contact grand jury members, and continue to look for a buyer for his private plane. To further sell the prosecution and the judge, Diddy said that he would agree to be subjected to drug tests on a weekly basis.
Diddy Offered To Take Weekly Drug Tests If Released
Both of Diddy’s previous attempts at posting bond have been denied outright. U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky denied Diddy’s initial attempt to make bond on the grounds of his alleged actions. “I don’t believe that counsel has the ability to control you,” the Magistrate ruled. “Given the very significant concerns I have, particularly because of substance abuse and what seem like anger issues.” The second attempt to post bail was denied by U.S. District Judge Andrew L. Carter. Diddy and his legal team tried to present a different array of guarantees, including GPS monitoring and visitor limitations. Unfortunately for them, the outcome was the same.
Carter determined that the offers made were “insufficient,” and ruled that Diddy must stay behind bars in order to ensure the integrity of the upcoming case. Marc Agnifilo has been the most vocal member of the Bad Boy founder’s legal team. After the second appeal was denied, he told reporters that he would not rest until Diddy was freed. “I’m not going to let him sit in that jail a day longer than he has to,” Agnifilo asserted. We will have to wait and see if Diddy’s third attempt at making bond proves successful.
Diddy and Cassie were together for years, but the information that has come out over the last year has radically altered how the public views them. Diddy has been accused of several harrowing acts by Cassie and other alleged victims. The Bad Boy founder has been charged with racketeering and sex trafficking. He also received widespread hatred after security footage leaked in which physically assaulted Cassie in a hotel hallway. The internet has been sifting through old Diddy clips ever since his allegedly darker side has come to light. And the latest involves Cassie.
TMZ uncovered footage of Diddy and Cassie performing together at a Dubai show in 2018. The couple take the stage, and Diddy performs one of his best-known solo hits, “I Need a Girl, Pt. 2.” Cassie appears to be all smiles as she dances with the mogul. Nobody suspected anything was wrong at the time, and in watching the footage back, it’s easy to see why. Two years prior, however, Diddy had attacked the singer during the aforementioned hotel incident. To make matters even more sinister, Cassie decided to break up with Diddy for good only a few months after this 2018 performance took place. Reps for the singer confirmed the timeline.
Cassie Broke Up With Diddy Shortly After 2018 Show
Cassie has been vocal about the trauma she allegedly suffered at the hands of her famous ex. She took to Instagram shortly after the hotel footage surfaced to clarify her stance on Diddy. “Domestic Violence is THE issue,” the singer explained. “It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of heart work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past.” Diddy initially denied the allegations made against him by Cassie, but changed his tune upon the release of the hotel footage. He issued a much maligned apology in which he voiced regret over what he did.
Cassie is allegedly not alone in her experience. The singer is one of many alleged victims who have come forward and accused Diddy of physical and/or sexual abuse. Diddy’s lawyer, however, claims that Cassie will be one of the alleged victims who plan to testify against the Bad Boy mogul during his criminal trial. This claim arrived shortly after the lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, tried to turn the media narrative against Cassie and accuse her of being unfaithful to the mogul. He also alleged that Cassie hit Diddy with a cell phone prior to the hotel confrontation. Neither of these allegations have been proven.
The number of Diddy lawsuits and allegations is simply dumbfounding and it’s going to continue to grow. Tony Buzbee, a high-profile Houston attorney who’s worked against clients such as Deshaun Watson, is helping contribute to that stack of legal papers by representing 120 alleged sexual assault/abuse victims. It’s worth noting their cases have yet to be filed. Earlier this month, he revealed this in a press conference and spoke with a sense of urgency and encouragement. “This is an important matter that we intend to aggressively pursue. We will leave no stone unturned to find all potentially liable parties, to include any individual or entity who participated in or benefitted from this egregious behavior,” he began.
“As we do this important work, we ask that the public understand it is very difficult and takes an incredible amount of courage for victims to come forward. I ask that we treat these brave individuals with the dignity and compassion that they deserve as they go through this trying time.” Following these statements, Buzbee then implored any one with potential allegations against Diddy to call the Sexual Assault Hotline. This instruction has led to some pretty negative reactions from other media personalities and the internet at large. Charlamagne tha God, along with the rest of The Breakfast Club, were quick to label it as a “joke” and that it’s going to discredit people who might have actual stories to tell.
Well, there’s a good chance that Buzbee and whoever else was responsible for opening up the phones are going to prove these critics right because the number of callers is jaw-dropping. According to HOLLYWOOD UNLOCKED and E! News, the attorney says that since that aforementioned press conference, the hotline had received 12,000 in just 24 hours. “When I made an announcement that I was going to pursue this case, the floodgates really opened. In a 10-day period we got 3,200 calls and then from the press conference we had yesterday, we had 12,000 calls in about 24 hours… I was not expecting the high volume of contact that we’ve gotten in the last 24 hours,” Buzbee said. Of course, this doesn’t mean that all of them are in “good faith,” so it will be interesting to see how all of these unfold.
What are your thoughts on attorney Tony Buzbee saying the Diddy Hotline has received 12,000 calls? Do you think this is going to ruin any potentially real victims’ chances of receiving justice? How many of these do you think were actually real callers? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Diddy. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.
Former Roc-A-Fella Records CEO Dame Dash made a really brash claim regarding the legal troubles of Diddy, suggesting that the music mogul spiked wholesale quantities of his Ciroc Vodka. Dash even goes as far as to say that male Hip Hop artists may have unwillingly turned “gay” after unknowingly consuming the spiked liquor.
In an interview on his America Nu Network, Dash said, “What’s crazy to me is if his hustle is putting stuff in people’s drinks, he made a liquor. I mean, that’s the illest shit in the world that everyone was partying and you don’t know what was in that drink.” Trying to bring his claims to context, Dash asked, “If he was — pause — undercover gay, ’cause I didn’t know it, and obviously if he was knocking men out and they were waking up violated, he’s making somebody gay that doesn’t wanna be gay. So I’m like, ‘What was in them drinks?’
Dash also suggests that during this time period of Ciroc’s apex of popularity, Hip Hop’s male figures became feminine. “And then I’m starting to think, ‘Damn, when did Hip Hop start to lose its masculinity?’ No disrespect to nobody, but tough n-ggas started wearing dresses and pocketbooks. I’m just thinking it through — maybe that could be the reason why Hip Hop took a turn for the feminine.” Adding a little humor to his serious allegation, Dash asked, “If homie was really putting shit in people’s drinks and he’s making the liquor… I’m not even saying it to be funny, but they saying he was putting shit in muthafuckas’ baby oil so how could you trust that person to serve you drinks at such a big scale?”
As Sean “Diddy” Combs’ racketeering and sex trafficking case continues to stun the entertainment industry, it has also given Jaguar Wright a new spotlight. The veteran singer has been a whistleblower—of sorts—for those who lean into audacious and unsubstantiated rumors. It isn’t difficult to find an interview of Wright poised on a couch, chatting about the alleged ills she’s witnessed throughout her career—or, at the very least, things she’s learned through private investigators or the grapevine. Further, there isn’t a name that’s safe from Wright’s stories that include tales of sex abuse, trafficking, drug use, violence, and intimidation. Her allegations take aim at some of the most influential players in the game, and often, Wright expounds on Diddy’s Bad Boy empire.
Some have questioned why Wright hasn’t been sued over her allegations. Others don’t believe that she has as much intimate knowledge of her peers as she presents. Still, enough people have tuned in, including Piers Morgan, who recently invited the singer to his show. While there, not only did she once again mention Puff, but she also included Shawn Carter, better known as Jay-Z. Wright has accused Hov of shady and violent dealings, and Diddy’s arrest has only amplified her exposure to the masses.
“For four years, I’ve been screaming not just Diddy, but Diddy and Jay-Z are monsters, and the victim-making machine kept going on,” said Wright. Morgan wanted to know why Wright believed Jay has remained tight-lipped about Combs’ case. “Because that’s what he does,” Wright answered. “He starts little fires everywhere and forces everyone to carry water while he sneaks away without a response. That changes now, Shawn. You must respond, you have no choice. Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein, Robert Kelly, Sean Combs have one person in common professionally and privately: Shawn Carter.”
It is very clear that Wright isn’t afraid to speak her mind, whether or not the public believes her. Moreover, her ongoing interviews over the years have made for viral moments, adding themselves to Hip Hop infamy. However, some, like DJ Vlad of VladTV, don’t believe the hype. He told Piers Morgan that he thinks of Wright as a conspiracy theorist and wouldn’t invite her to his platform. Regardless, there always seems to be a media outlet poised to chat with Wright, and we’ve gathered a few outrageous allegations she’s made about rumors surrounding Diddy, his freak-off parties, and celebrity dealings.
Jaguar Wright Says She Has Been To Diddy’s Freak-Off Parties
According to Wright, she hasn’t just heard about what goes on at Diddy’s rumored “freak-off” parties—she’s attended them herself. During her chat with Morgan, Wright called the music mogul “one of the most dangerous people” she’s “ever met.” She also referred to Combs as “the devil,” claiming he has been wreaking havoc on the industry “for 30 years.” Wright also alleged rituals would take place, people were drugged, and some sex workers who attended the events wore secret cameras. Further, Wright explosively claimed, “I have my own tapes. I see what they do… Putting girls into suitcases. Dumping them in alleyways. It’s horrifying.”
“We got to stop making Diddys,” Wright added. “And if we’re going to do that, then we got to go back. We got to go back to even further: the mentors of these people. Because Diddy was taught how to do what he does systematically, and Clive Davis has been his greatest teacher.”
Alleges Nicki Minaj Has A Video Of Meek Mill & Diddy
After a viral audio clip circulated online, Meek Mill’s name was linked to gossip about Diddy’s alleged nefarious deeds. The sound was of two people, alleged to be men, having a sexual encounter. In an interview with RealLyfe Productions, an outlet that Wright regularly visits, the singer touched on the controversy. Wright alleged that it was Nicki Minaj who leaked the audio because the femcee supposedly had the actual video footage.
“He’s a f*cking fruit loop, he Diddy-fied. He’s a deep-fried f*ggot, period,” said Wright. “F*ck Meek, real rap. Yeah, that was f*cking him. F*cking Nicki put that sh*t out to hear. Goddamn Nicki recorded that at the freak-off in Calabasas. She been waiting to drop that sh*t on Meek.” Wright accused Minaj of hiding that it was Diddy on the tape; however, Meek refuted the allegations. He purported that he was being targeted because of his success and influence.
Accused Diddy Of Being Responsible For Kim Porter’s Death
Although Wright isn’t the only person who has perpetuated this rumor about Diddy and his late ex, Kim Porter, she has certainly added fuel to the fire. Conspiracy theories have surrounded Combs after several of his friends and acquaintances passed away. In a differing interview with RealLyfe Productions, Wright brought up Puff’s pre-Bad Boy career at Uptown Records. She said the label “started with five people: Andre Harrell, Al B. Sure, Heavy D, and Puffy [Diddy].” Wright added, “Kim was the longest-working employee. She was there from the very beginning; she was Andre’s personal assistant. Kim is dead, Heavy D is dead, Andre Harrell is dead, the only two left are Puffy and Al.” Then, she referenced Al B. Sure’s coma health scare. “Al almost died. Isn’t that interesting?”
“They were all writing tell-all books,” Wright continued. “Has Puffy ever been in a coma? Has anything happened to him? He must be the luckiest motherf*cker because it seems like everybody that worked at Uptown Records from the very beginning are gone. Just him.” Although Porter’s “tell-all” was recently released, the author admitted it was a work of fiction.
Said Diddy Had An Encounter With Christopher Williams
While many people that Jaguar Wright often mentions don’t come forward with a rebuttal, Christopher Williams decided to call her out after learning that his name was tied to her rumors. Wright would allege that Williams, who was a prominent singer in the 1980s and ’90s, had an oral sexual encounter with Diddy. Her quotes caught widespread attention, and Williams, obviously, wasn’t too thrilled about his name being entangled in Wright’s interview.
During his chat on Willie D Live with the Geto Boys icon, Williams categorically denied Wright’s claims. “Anybody that knows me knows that is ridiculous,” said the singer. “One person in the world alleges that I gave Puffy fellatio to get a record deal in like ‘92. I came out [singing] in ‘89, I had a record deal in ‘88.” Williams added, “If I were gay, I would be openly gay, so again, that wasn’t even the emphasis of it; it was the other stuff that was said around it.” Additionally, “Now she’s going on and on and on like she’s sure. But I’m like, ‘Bro, she’s hurting.’ I’m praying for her because we have to make a different stand and a different choice at this time. If I’m really solid, how can what she says affect me?”
Wright Claims Diddy Tapes Include Obama, Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé & More
As stated earlier, there isn’t a famous person who can hide from Wright’s accusations. In one of her interviews, she listed several famous figures as not only co-signing Diddy’s alleged abuses but as participants who have purported sex tapes with Combs or from one of his “freak-off” parties. “I believe that Barack Obama has a tape,” she alleged. When mentioning Puff’s ex-girlfriend, Wright added, “I know that Jennifer Lopez has multiple tapes.”
Then she claimed that there was a visual of Beyoncé, in addition to saying, “I definitely know, they probably recycled some old Stevie J and Eve stuff. I know Drake got a tape, I know Rihanna got a tape, I know Chris Brown is on one of them tapes. I know Trey Songz has been, like, a supporting actor in many freak-off films. Definitely Usher.” Yet, Wright alleges that the public would be “shocked” at just how many politicians and “royals” were also involved.
“I’m still trying to figure out when Harry and Meghan [Markle] are going to be honest about their freak-off tape,” Wright continued. “I don’t think anybody wants to talk about that.” Her latest interview with Piers Morgan is just the tip of the iceberg of rumors, gossip, and allegations she has made against Combs and several other industry professionals. Meanwhile, Combs remains behind bars, awaiting trial after his bond was denied. Reports of at least 120 accusers against Combs have been shared, and the public awaits on pins and needles for information about which of their favorite artists may have been named in court documents. As for Wright, despite being heavily criticized for her comments and accusations, she remains unmoved.
Lord Jamar always has something to say. The rapper has become a regular on podcasts and interview channels. He has bold opinions and wild stories, and he regularly sticks by both. It was only a matter of time before Lord Jamar weighed in on the Diddy situation. The rapper claims to have heard stories about Diddy dating back to the early 1990s. He seem unsurprised by the wave of allegations leveled at the Bad Boy founder. In fact, he claims that Diddy’s sexuality actually led to him being fired from his first industry job.
Diddy got his start as an A&R at Uptown Records in the early 1990s. He worked under Andre Harrell, and helped to develop iconic R&B acts like Mary J. Blige and Jodeci. Diddy was fired from Uptown in 1993, in turn leading to the creation of Bad Boy Records. Diddy has repeatedly blamed his ambition as the reason he was fired, but Lord Jamar tells another story. The Brand Nubian rapper alleges that Diddy was let go because he was caught having sex with another man in the Uptown offices. “That’s why I heard,” Lord Jamar told The Art of Dialogue. “He got caught in a precarious act, doing something real baby oil-ish in the office.”
Lord Jamar implied that the other man involved in the alleged “precarious act” is also someone of not. He declines naming the man, however. “I don’t know,” the rapper stated. “I’m just saying, that was the rumor.” Jamar then went on to allege that Diddy is part of a so-called “Gay Mafia” within the music industry. He didn’t get into detail about who the other members of this alleged group were. He did, however, claim that the Bad Boy founder is not actually the one in charge.
“You just saw one of the gay mafia members. That’s who he is, that’s who Puffy is,” Lord Jamar told the outlet. “He is one of the members of the mob. He’s a mafia member. But he might not be the Don Carl, he is not the godfather. He is one of the heads of the family.” Jamar isn’t the only one who has claimed to have heard unnerving rumors about Diddy in the 1990s. The latter’s former bodyguard alleged that he heard a story involving Diddy and a teenage Usher, which you learn more about here.
Dame Dash and Diddy were moguls during the same time period. They were two of the faces of New York during the late 90s and early 2000s. Dash has had his legal troubles over the years, but nothing can compare to what Diddy is currently going through. The Bad Boy founder is currently behind bars. He’s been accused of horrifying crimes by multiple parties, and is awaiting trial on federal charges. One of the allegations leveled at Diddy is that he spiked the drinks of the attendees at his so-called “freak off” parties. This allegation has led Dame Dash to question one of the mogul’s side hustles.
Ciroc was launched in 2003, and entered into a partnership with Diddy in 2007. The mogul became the face of the alcohol brand for years. This association has led Dame Dash to question whether dangerous things were being put in the bottles that were being sold to fans. “What’s crazy to me,” Dame Dash told America Nu Network. “Is, if his hustle is putting stuff in people’s drink. He made a liquor. Everybody was partying, and you don’t know what was in that drink.” The Roc-A-Fella founder clarified that he doesn’t have proof to support this claim, and is simply making a correlation that he finds to be concerning.
“They saying homie was putting sh*t in motherf*cker’s baby oil,” Dame Dash added. “How could you trust that person to serve you drinks at such a big scale?” The mogul also recounted an incident from years ago in which he alleges that N.O.R.E. tried to get him to take a shot of Ciroc. Dash brought his own personal drink with him, which is something he’s done for years. “Now y’all can understand,” he noted. “Why I always wanted to make my own. I was taking shots of my own.” He then alleged that N.O.R.E. got extremely drunk from drinking Diddy’s brand.
Dame Dash is obviously best known for his affiliation with JAY-Z. He talked about JAY during the America Nu Network interview. He did not accuse the rapper of being affiliated with Diddy, but he did voice some concerns about what he may know. Especially given how close Dash and JAY have been over the years. “JAY’s supposed to be my son’s godfather,” Dame Dash asserted. “There are some levels that I know are dark, but again, I’m just hoping that it’s not that dark.”
Diddy has already lost the key to New York City but will also lose his honor in Miami Beach. According to TMZ, Miami Beach officials are in the final steps of rescinding Diddy’s Key to the City.
The exact cancellation of Dddy’s honor is currently in the air with the threat of Hurricane Milton this week. Diddy was awarded the key by Miami Beach mayor Philip Levine in 2015 at the Revolt Music Conference.
In June, Diddy returned New York City’s Key to the City following a request from Mayor Eric Adams.
Mayor Adams expressed deep concern over a video involving Cassie, prompting him to ask for the prestigious honor back. TMZ obtained letters sent to Diddy’s offices in New York and Los Angeles, detailing the Mayor’s dismay over the incident.
After Mayor Eric Adams stated he would check into revoking Diddy’s key to New York City, the city council urged him to do so.
In case you missed it, in 2023, Diddy received the key from Mayor Adams, who now states he was “deeply disturbed” by the video.
“The committee and team have never rescined a key before, but we are now sitting down to see what the next steps forward are going to be,” Adams said to Pix11. “We are taking everything under analysis and the team will come back to me with a final determination.”
In a statement to TMZ, council member Sandy Nurse says, “Mayor Adams should immediately revoke Diddy’s key to the city. As an abuser, Diddy lost his right to have such an honor and should be held accountable for his actions. Mayor Adams should set the example and take it away.”
Council Member Shaun Abreu added, “Mayor Adams should snatch back Diddy’s key and slam the door behind him. We won’t be missing you.”
Cassie’s lawyers respond to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ apology video posted today:
“That he was only compelled to ‘apologize’ once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words.” pic.twitter.com/4QxhJjrdXO
2016 footage from the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles shows Diddy beating Cassie in the hotel’s hallway.
In the video released by CNN, Diddy is seen running down the hotel hallway in a towel to catch Cassie as she attempts to leave in an elevator. Diddy throws Cassie to the floor by her neck, followed by kicks, stomps and an attempt to drag her down the hall by her hood.
Cassie attempted to use a hotel phone, but Diddy pushed it to the ground again. Later in the video, he throws a vase at the singer.
Cassie’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, released the following statement: “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”
Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs, is speaking out against the charges against her son, referring to them as a “public lynching.” Combs expressed her views in a conversation with Page Six.
“It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies,” Janice shared.
“To bear witness what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words. Like every human being, my son deserves to have his day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence.”
She added, “I am not here to portray my son as perfect because he is not. He has made mistakes in his past, as we all have.
“My son may not have been entirely truthful about certain things, such as denying he has ever gotten violent with an ex-girlfriend when the hotel’s surveillance showed otherwise.”
50 Cent has never hid his disdain for Diddy. He was seemingly ahead of the curve by a couple of years, as everybody in the music industry has resorted to mocking the Bad Boy mogul. Given the allegations made against him, the mockery makes sense. 50 Cent is the originator, however. An interview began to circulate of Friday, October 4, and it dated back to 2018. Diddy wasn’t involved, but he was the topic of conversation. 50 Cent then reposed the clip and threw in some more digs at the mogul in the caption.
The interview took place on The Breakfast Club. 50 Cent was promoting the film Den of Thieves along with his co-stars, O’Shea Jackson, Jr. and Gerard Butler. The other two had more prominent roles in the film, but it’s obvious that 50 is leading the interview. The whole line of questioning has to do with 50’s disdain for Diddy. Charlamagne tha God then proceeds to read a comment that the rapper made with regards to Diddy. “Sorry I can no longer help you guys,” the comment stated. “Soon you will all be gay and happy. You are all now left under the leadership of Puffy Daddy. Report to the nearest rainbow.”
The comment drew laughter from everybody in the room. 50 Cent, never one to miss an opportunity to troll, doubled down on his 2018 roast in the caption. “I just want to apologize for being heterosexual,” he wrote. “I understand it’s offensive these days. I’m sorry I was born this way, I hope you can accept me in the new world.” 50 has repeatedly alluded to Diddy’s sexuality over the years, and another viral clip saw him roast the mogul for trying to take him shopping. “I thought that was the weirdest sh*t in the world,” he recalled. “Because that might be something that a man says to a woman.”
50 Cent is, of course, laughing all the way to the bank. The rapper is currently in the midst of working on a Diddy documentary for Netflix. The documentary sold for an undisclosed amount, but 50 is excited to spread the word. “This is a story with significant human impact,” the rapper told Variety. “It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far.”
