Snoop Dogg explained that faith and his family have been helping him get through the loss of his brother, Bing Worthington, who passed away at the age of 44, last week. Snoop shared a montage of family photos soundtracked to October London’s “Mulholland Drive” on Instagram, Tuesday.

“Prayer n family getting my spirit bac in order. RIP @badabing33,” Snoop captioned the post. In response, fans shared plenty of supportive messages for the rapper. “Im deeply sorry for your loss !!! You know we’re here for all of you! May Gods comfort & your memories forever remain with you! WE LOVE YOU,” one comment reads. Another fan adds: “Snoop, our prayers and thoughts sincerely go out to you, your family, your friends and the other family’s here who are going through this difficult time. Peace be with you.”

The loss of Bing comes for Snoop less than three years after the death of their mother, Beverly Tate. Worthington worked with Snoop on a number of occasions over the years in the capacity of a tour manager and business partner. He also ventured into his own hip-hop career and joined the short-lived group, Lifestyle. “When I put the [Lifestyle] album out, I was putting everything in the music together,” Worthington explained to Vice in 2016. “My guy was a great rapper and I was a great rapper, but I was like ‘why am I working on the music? I should be doing all the business side of this thing.’ I love meeting people, talking business, that got me going. Pop Smoke is trending on social media as fans reflect on his career and influence, four years after his death. The Brooklyn rapper was shot and killed during a home invasion in Los Angeles. He had released his second mixtape, Meet the Woo 2, just 12 days earlier. It debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200.

“Pop smoke was really about to take off, I can’t believe it’s been 4 years,” one fan on Twitter wrote on Monday. Another posted: “Pop Smoke (July 20th, 1999 – February 19th, 2020) only 20 years old. You can’t even be proud of what you worked for because these snakes will try to take it from you. May Allah have mercy on him, forgive his sins, and make his grave spacious and full of light.” More fans shared their favorite tracks and verses from the late artist.

Today, Snoop Dogg took to social media to announce that his half-brother, Bing Worthington, has passed away at the age of 44. He shared various posts honoring his late brother, including a shot of him alongside their late mother, Beverly Tate. Bing’s cause of death has not yet been revealed.

“Bac wit momma,” Snoop Dogg captioned one of the photos, “[Bing] always made us laugh.” He also shared a short clip of him, Bing, and their other brother Jerry spending time in a cemetery, presumably visiting their mother’s grave. Friends and fans are out in full force, leaving their condolences in the rapper’s comments section. Countless users are also reflecting on the memories they were able to make with Bing ahead of his passing.

Snoop Dogg Commemorates His Late Brother On IG

Aside from being his brother, Bing also worked with Snoop over the years, starting off as a roadie and eventually becoming his tour manager. He previously made his own music with a group called Lifestyle, releasing a few albums before he ultimately decided he preferred working behind the scenes. A few years back, he opened a music studio and production company, a merger of his label Dogg Records and Canadian label Urban Heat Legends.

The unfortunate news comes only weeks after Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, had a “severe stroke.” The 24-year-old has since made what appears to be a full recovery. She suffers from Lupus, an illness that can increase one’s risk for stroke. At the end of last month, Snoop Dogg opened up about the frightening health scare in an interview with People. “[She’s] doing a little bit better,” he told the outlet. When asked whether or not the event changed his perspective, he replied, “Yeah, yeah. Eddie Cheba, Pioneering Hip-Hop Legend, Passes Away

Eddie Cheba, the trailblazing DJ who inspired Russell Simmons to pursue a career in hip-hop in the 1970s, has passed away. His close friend, Van Silk, confirmed the news in a statement provided to AllHipHop. Cheba went into cardiac arrest at 7:16 AM, ET on Tuesday after being sick for a number of months and suffering several strokes. 

“I met Eddie beck in 1975 the same time I met Dj Hollywood and Reggie Wells. Reggie Well and Eddie CHEBA grew up in Douglas Houses in Manhattan,” Van Silk told the outlet. “My experience with Eddie Cheeba is very sentimental. He play for many of my parties and we did Broadway InternInternational together. Eddie definitely cannot be left out of the culture of Hip-Hop. Trust me. Even the great article written by Roosevelt Dynamite Simmons is fantastic. Sad to say Eddie Cheba last performance and interview was last August 11 at the Rapamania 50 event. Eddie was booked to perform, but I told him to get on the mic. We have along personal history and been in touch with him over the last six years. He will definitely be missed.”

Simmons was one of the first to confirm Cheba was previously hospitalized back in 2023. Yo Gotti Makes 1st Public Appearance Since Big Jook’s Murder

Yo Gotti made his first public appearance since the death of his brother, Big Jook, on Friday night in Detroit at 42 Dugg’s concert at Little Caesars Arena. On stage, he appeared to be wearing a bulletproof vest under his shirt. Clips of the performance are circulating on social media. Jook was shot and killed outside a Memphis restaurant, last weekend.

When DJ Akademiks shared a clip of Gotti’s appearance, many fans were surprised to see him back to work this quickly. “N***a just buried 2 of his family members and out here on stage I know n****s grieve differently but wtf,” one user wrote. Another complained about people being insensitive about the situation in the face of tragedy. “I cant believe people so insensitive in the comments like they really know these famous people like he died in front of his family have some respect karma spend the bend for us all,” they commented.

Rick Ross also called for an end to gun violence in a message on social media. “I flew out of Houston 3 a.m., got back to Miami,” Ross said. “I’m headed to an event titled 5,000 Role Models where we acknowledging the young leaders, the young kings, our young brothers. We gotta empower the brothers. And while I’m speaking on this, our brothers in Memphis: I need y’all to know there’s only one way to wisdom and wealth, and that’s through each other. You understand? Key Glock Mourns Death Of The Glock Firearm Company’s Founder & Engineer

As one of Memphis’ top MCs right now, Key Glock is slowly becoming one of the first names you rattle off when thinking about the best trap artists today. However, the depth behind that name has quite an interesting backstory, which just recently got a saddening but honorable new set of context. Moreover, he recently took to Twitter on Wednesday (December 27) to mourn the death of Gaston Glock, the engineer who founded the Glock firearm company and designed its products. “RIP UNK,” the Tennessee rapper expressed on the social media platform, a succinct but nonetheless tributing statement on an underrated influence in his career trajectory.

Furthermore, he’s used the “Glock” name for a lot of his promotion and branding, such as his most recent album Glockoma 2. But Key Glock had previously explained that his artist name stems from a nickname that he got while coming uo in Memphis. As such, there might be more direct reasoning as to why this name is what he formed a career off of, and whether he had a special affinity for Glocks. Still, the Paper Route Empire hitmaker has never gotten too specific about this name’s origins, so there’s plenty to unveil if he so chooses.

Elsewhere on social media, he also had to respond to some pretty bizarre and worrisome allegations about backstage conduct. For those unaware, a fan alleged that they found a note around the “meet and greet” section for a recent show that read: “If you ain’t f***ing or sucking, leave!” When the “F**k A Feature” spitter caught wind of this, he claimed that he wasn’t responsible for this if it even happened in the first place, and seemed quite peeved at the assumption. “Key Glock ain’t said s**t,” he tweeted in response to these rumors spiraling on the Internet.

Bobbie Jean Carter Was Found Unresponsive In Her Bathroom On Day Of Her Death: New Details Revealed

Bobbie Jean Carter was found unresponsive in her bathroom on the day she died, in a similar fashion to that of her late brother, Aaron Carter. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Florida revealed the details surrounding her passing to Page Six on Wednesday. 

They explained that first responders discovered her on Saturday morning following a call to her house. From there, they took her to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa. Medical examiners then pronounced her dead. An exact cause of death remains unconfirmed. Bobbie Jean was arrested for retail theft and drug possession back in June after having fentanyl in her purse. Her roommates, however, say she’s been off drugs completely since landing on probation.

Bobbie Jean’s mom, Jane Carter, announced her passing over the weekend in a statement noted by Page Six. “I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean, and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time,” Jane said, referring to the deaths of son Aaron and daughter Leslie Carter. “When I am able to think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement, but until then, I would request to be left to grieve in private. However deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater.” She concluded by asking for prayers for her “precious 8-year-old granddaughter, Bella, who previously lost her father and is now also left without her mother.”

Lizzo “Heartbroken” After Beloved Dog Pooka Passes Away

Fans have seen countless celebrities taking part in holiday festivities this week but unfortunately, Lizzo’s in the process of mourning. The songstress took to social media earlier this week to reveal that she’s lost her pet dog, Pooka. It’s unconfirmed what led to her beloved pup’s passing. She’s made it clear, however, that the loss has been difficult to swallow.

She took to Instagram yesterday to share a variety of photos of herself and loved ones posing with Pooka. “I’m not ok im so heartbroken rip Pooka,” she captioned the carousel. Lizzo Says Goodbye To Pooka

Earlier this year, she was hit with a lawsuit from various former backup dancers who accused her of sexual harassment and other workplace misconduct. She’s since moved to have the documents sealed, though the judge has yet to rule on the motion. Her team argues that “documents, correspondence and testimony that contain sensitive, confidential information and/or proprietary business information, including employee compensation, contract negotiation, and third-party sensitive contact information” should not be available to the public.

After addressing the allegations and denying any wrongdoing, Lizzo shared last month that she’s in the process of self-improvement. “I’m working.. on music, myself, relationships with people and food, my anxiety, my body, my business, and my trust issues with the world. Takeoff’s Dad Joins In $1 Million Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Takeoff’s Dad, Kenneth Ball, is reportedly joining in the $1 million wrongful death lawsuit against 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston, which the rapper’s mother, Titania Davenport, filed back in June 2023. He’s joining as “Intervenor,” which simply describes a third party who attaches themselves to an existing legal case. Ball is also seeking $1 million from the venue. Together, the two name 18 instances where the venue failed to provide adequate security measures to protect its patrons.

“[Kenneth Ball], the natural parent of [Takeoff], has suffered substantial pecuniary loss both in the past and in the future. Indeed, [Ball] has suffered past and future pecuniary loss, including funeral and burial expenses, psychological and psychiatric expenses, loss of advice, loss of counsel, loss of services, loss of care, loss of maintenance and loss of support,” Ball’s lawyer Brant J. Stogner explained in a statement caught by AllHipHop.

In response to the lawsuit, the owners of 810 Billiards & Bowling have denied any responsibility in the killing of Takeoff. Their legal representative, Stephanie M. Krueger, says the focus should be on the two who allegedly pulled the trigger, Patrick Xavier Clark and Cameron Joshua. “Ample evidence exists supporting a claim that Patrick Xavier Clark’s intentional criminal actions proximately caused, in whole or in part, the damages for which Plaintiffs now seek recover,” Krueger said in a statement. Clark faces between 5 years to life in prison for the shooting.

Despite joining her case, Ball is reportedly involved in a dispute with Titania Davenport over their son’s $26 million estate. The rapper died without a will and Georgia law states that the closest relatives have exclusive rights over both his money and assets. This would include his music catalog. Jigg And Celly Cell Pronounced Dead After Milwaukee Shooting

Earlier this week, two up-and-coming Milwaukee rappers, Joevon “Jigg” Wilder and Marcell “Celly Cell” Hendrix, were fatally shot in their home city. They were 26 and 24 years old, respectively. According to the medical examiner, Jigg was pronounced dead in a vehicle early Monday morning, while Celly Cell was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital less than an hour later.

Authorities have yet to release more information about the circumstances leading up to the shooting, and no arrests have been made at the time of writing. Their families held vigils for the late artists the following evening. The mother of Jigg’s child, Taylor Cross, reflected on the loss, noting how her late partner always managed to be there for his loved ones. “A great dad to his son, great son to his mother,” she called him. “You could count on him to be there for the people he loved.”

Jigg’s Grandmother Describes Him As A “Good Father”

“His dad was super tough,” she added. “The toughest person I know. It’s depicted in his music but it doesn’t show his soft side. He loved his son so much, so much.” Jigg’s grandmother, Peggy Wright, also described the rapper as a “loving and caring person.” She additionally took the opportunity to raise attention to gun violence in the city, noting how something needs to be done. “Milwaukee is a lost town,” she explained. “It needs some help. They need to do something about all this killing. I know just with my grandson, it’s not going to stop.”

“He was a good father,” she says of her grandson, “He had a good personality. He was a character.” Wright also adds, “He was laid back and chill and would just write songs.” TeeGlazedIt, who worked alongside Jigg on various music videos, also shared a heartfelt message about the loss on Instagram. “Naw cuz this sh*t can’t be real,” he said. “We just had dat long a** talk in front everybody dey seen it.
