Court Docs Reveal Tory Lanez and DaBaby Planned to Rush the Stage During Megan Thee Stallion’s Rolling Loud Set

DaBaby Targets Those Who Attempted to "Assassinate" His Career On Freestyle Over WizKid's "Essence"

As pieces of Tory Lanez’s court documents continue to emerge, a new memorandum notes Lanez and DaBaby attempted to “rush the stage” during Megan Thee Stallion’s Rolling Loud performance in 2021.

That was the same year, DaBaby revealed Tory Lanez was inside a costume on stage with DaBaby. Megan performed before DaBaby, and once the “Suge” rapper hit the stage, he brought out Tory Lanez. Following that moment, he would go on to perform one of his biggest hits with Thee Stallion, “Cash Shit.”

The legal docs state, “It was also brought to the victim’s attention that the defendant and [DaBaby] attempted to rush the stage during her performance.” Thee Stallion didn’t consent to Lanez being present.

In April, DaBaby revealed he hoped to return to his friendship and working relationship with Megan Thee Stallion. TMZ caught up with the rapper as he was in Beverly Hills and revealed he was open to getting back on track with Thee Stallion.

“Absolutely, Meg,” DaBaby said. “We are cooler than a fan.”

Regarding Tory Lanez, DaBaby said it’s hard to speak with him these days.

DaBaby also revealed that new music would be coming at the end of the month.

DaBaby being back cool with Megan Thee Stallion would be a long way from this. You can hear it from DaBaby below.

DaBaby And Tory Lanez Reportedly Planned To Crash Megan Thee Stallion’s Set At Rolling Loud 2021

In addition to recommending a 13-year prison sentence for Tory Lanez after he was convicted of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020, Los Angeles prosecutors have also accused the Toronto rapper of attempting to crash his victim’s 2021 Rolling Loud Miami set with the help of DaBaby.

While that festival remains infamous for DaBaby’s onstage comments that cost him numerous other festival slots and corporate endorsements, it was also notable that the Charlotte rapper brought Tory Lanez onstage to perform their new collaboration, drawing the ire of Megan Thee Stallion fans who saw it as an act of disloyalty after Meg had collaborated multiple times with DaBaby.

Now, according to the memo filed LA District Attorneys requesting a 13-year sentence for Lanez due to his lack of remorse for his actions, it appears that DaBaby and Tory’s original plan was even worse. While it was previously reported that Tory and DaBaby had entered the green room, violating Meg’s restraining order against Tory, the memo asserts that they “attempted to rush the stage during her performance.”

Whatever they planned to do after that remains unclear because they were prevented from disrupting her performance. Instead, DaBaby introduced Tory during his own set, where they performed “Skat.” After this, Megan Thee Stallion fell out with DaBaby, whose own popularity took a nosedive due to his antics over the next several months — including his own juvenile attempt to use their prior relationship for clout on his song “Boogeyman.” On the song, he alleges that he also had a sexual relationship with Meg, which could explain his partnership with Tory, even after Tory was accused of shooting her.

Tory’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13.

Megan Thee Stallion is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

50 Cent Surprises Steakhouse Waitstaff With $1,000 Tip Following DaBaby Dinner

He was undeniably wild in his younger days. However, 50 Cent has become known as a renowned businessman now that he’s settled down. Of course, the New Yorker still loves to troll his contemporaries on Instagram. Still, that doesn’t mean he’s not spreading love too. According to Page Six, Fif’s most recent random act of kindness took place following a steakhouse dinner with DaBaby, during which they reportedly ordered one of everything on the menu.

The father of two was hosting a celebration for a new deal with his Branson Cognac brand and obviously didn’t hesitate to splurge. Insiders reveal that he and guests dined on a salt and pepper lobster alongside numerous steaks. The party went on until the restaurant closed. It was also attended by Power Book II: Ghost actor Woody McClain, DJ Camilo, and DJ Self.

Thankfully 50 is getting positive reviews from the waitstaff, even with the large order. The media mogul made it worth their while, as he reportedly left a $1,000 tip on the bill. He’s since commemorated the evening with an Instagram post, though he made no mention of his extensive gratuity. “Good times, Good living NY vibes Brooklyn Chop House,” the “I Get Money” artist wrote in his caption. Since sharing the post earlier this afternoon, Fif has earned plenty of praise in the comments for taking Jonathan Kirk under his wing and showing support, despite the numerous times the industry has tried to cancel him in the past.

Elsewhere in New York, DaBaby nearly accepted an incredibly NSFW offer from a fan backstage at the city’s Hot 97 Summer Jam. While he was on his way out, the embattled rapper was approached by a woman offering to give him head right then and there. DaBaby Fan Offers To Orally Pleasure Him In Front Of Crowd, He Declines

It was a wild Sunday (June 4) at Hot 97 Summer Jam in New York City for both artists and attendees alike. Coi Leray turned up the heat with her lively performance ahead of her sophomore album later this month, and Ice Spice joined Lil Tjay during his set after bringing out Flo Milli during an entertaining show of her own. Elsewhere, DaBaby also had the crowd turning up, though an NSFW moment with a salacious fan backstage is making more waves than his actual time on stage.

As XXL reports, Jonathan Kirk was backstage at the annual event, on his way out with a crew of security when a woman approached him. “Pull it out. Can I suck it right now?” she asks the embattled rapper, who first reaches down his pants, but quickly has a change of heart. Cameras caught him saying something to the solicitor, and looking back at her multiple times over his shoulder, though it’s unclear exactly what the exchange was. She’s since made herself known @most_hated_mara_ on Instagram, where a video of her yelling at DaBaby after their interaction is currently on her feed.

“DaBaby played so hard,” Mara wrote in the caption of her post from Sunday evening. “Everything he rap bout is cap cause he ain’t let me throat baby sh*t @dababy @theshaderoom @theshaderoom @theshaderoom @dababy.” It’s obvious that the woman wanted the attention of the blogs, and she’s since got it.

According to her bio, Mara is a mother of three, but she certainly doesn’t let that get in the way of her being free. Speaking of children – seeing as the “BOPS” rapper’s most recent co-parent, DaniLeigh was charged with a DUI hit and run earlier this month, it’s likely wise he opted to keep his privates to himself in public.

Who Is DaniLeigh? Get To Know The “Dominican Mami” Singer

DaniLeigh is a creative multi-hyphenate who’s showcased an ability to curate chart-topping hits or choreograph dance routines. The 28-year-old has been everywhere, from DaniLeigh’s controversial public relationship with DaBaby to spearheading Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour choreography. The Def Jam Recordings phenom has worked with the likes of Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez, and Pharrell. Unfortunately, she was reportedly arrested during Memorial Day Weekend. According to TMZ, she was driving under the influence when she hit somebody with her car. DaniLeigh was arrested early Tuesday in Miami Beach and is accused of causing severe bodily injury to the victim. Now facing three felony charges, her career is seriously under threat.

Named Danielle Curiel, she was born in Florida to Dominican parents. That Latin influence appears in her sound, blending the worlds of R&B, Latin, and Hip-Hop. She referenced this when talking to Unclear, stating, “Plus growing up Dominican… that’s our way of life. Family Sundays we get together, sing, dance, enjoy life.” When DaniLeigh was a teenager, she began singing and dancing. Similar to the beginnings of many other artists, she would begin to garner attention by posting covers of songs on YouTube. Moving to Los Angeles at 16, she would quickly make connections in the creative capital of the US.

Rock Icon Prince Kickstarted Her Career

However, her teenage success is largely attributed to her close relationship with the iconic singer Prince. The flamboyant rock icon initially reached out to DaniLeigh to dance to his new song, 2013’s “Breakfast Can Wait.” After submitting the video, Prince decided to have her direct the video. At only 18 years old, she suddenly found herself directing a set after years of re-enacting covers in her childhood home. Nicole Kirkland, another choreographer associated with the music video, dispelled DaniLeigh’s claims regarding her role. She stated, “Did the choreography? But I did the choreography for the submission. And then I & @antoinetroupe choreographed the video,” wrote Kirkland, before she went off on the singer. DaniLiegh clarified her stance but stood firm on Prince wanting her to be involved.

DaniLeigh & DaBaby Were In A Relationship

DaniLeigh’s musical and directorial experiences eventually manifest into roles like her sophomore album, MOVIE. Released with a visual counterpart, Dani told us, “Just the fact that I got to do something like this for my album showed people that I am a creative person. This pandemic has either made people be like, ‘Bro, I don’t know what to do,’ or the other way around where they have time and they’re just, really excited type of thing.” MOVIE depicts how she was forced to move on from the relationships. One of the exes is meant to mirror DaniLeigh’s experience in her relationship with DaBaby.

DaniLeigh has been the source of media drama for reasons beyond her DUI incident this Memorial Day weekend. DaniLeigh and DaBaby were in a very public relationship throughout 2021 and 2022. She gave birth to a daughter, Velour, back in December of 2021. However, the relationship between the two went sour shortly after the child’s birth. While DaBaby has claimed that Dani was a side-piece, she is steadfast in her knowledge that the two were more. In addition, she received backlash for releasing “Yellow Bone,” which usually references light-skinned or mixed-race Black women. Audience members went after DaniLeigh, leading to a full apology from her over Instagram Live.

Career Successes

Not long after her successful directorial debut, DaniLeigh’s career took off. After releasing a slew of singles, she was signed to Def Jam Records ahead of the release of her debut album, Summer With Friends. “All I Know” would be the hit track off of the project, sampling Aretha Franklin amid groovy R&B production. After signing with Def Jam, she collaborated with MCs such as Lil Yachty, YG, and, most recently, Fivio Foreign. By the end of the 2010s, DaniLeigh had gone from recording covers on YouTube to choreographing music videos for DaBaby and releasing hit tracks such as the Chris Brown-aided “Easy.” There were rumors that she was working with some Hip Hop icons on her next project. However, her recent arrest could spell disaster for her career. While that plays out in real-time, her fans wait impatiently for updates.

DaBaby Unveils ‘New Jack City’ Inspired “SELLIN CRACK” Visual Featuring Offset

DaBaby Unveils ‘New Jack City’ Inspired “SELLIN CRACK” Visual Featuring Offset

Everything DaBaby releases is a banger. But beyond that, one thing you can count on is that he will deliver the most cinematic visuals.

Today, the Charlotte, North Carolina rapper returns with his newest music video for “SELLIN CRACK,” featuring the one and only Offset. Clocking in at five minutes and 40 seconds, the video is inspired by the classic 1991 film New Jack City, which starred Wesley Snipes, Mario Van Peebles, Ice-T, Chris Rock, and more.

Directed by DaBaby and frequent collaborator Reel Goats, “SELLIN CRACK” sees both DaBaby and Migos decked out in swaggy, old-school outfits as they’re seen delivering their own versions of the iconic Nino Brown character. Not only do they bring the song to life, but they recreate timeless scenes from the movie.

Special guests are seen throughout the music video, including D’Aydrian Harding, Kane Kongg and Samaria Stewart. The song itself is produced by Charlie Heat, following the success of DaBaby’s previous standout visual for “SHAKE SUMN,” which is currently at 3.6 million views in just two weeks. “SHAKE SUMN” serves as the go-to twerk anthem for this upcoming summer.

Both tracks come from DaBaby’s most recent three-track bundle, CALL DA FIREMAN, released at the top of May.

DaBaby Songs: Rapper’s Best Collabs

Undoubtedly, DaBaby was on top of the rap game at one point. Though he hit a few bumps, his career is far from over. In 2019, DaBaby’s career really took off. He dropped his debut studio album, Baby on Baby, where the hit song “Suge” saw great success. Soon, he started working with some of the biggest names in Hip Hop. The Charlotte rapper has made songs with Lil Baby, Offset, Lil Yachty, Drake, Young Thug, and Roddy Ricch, just to name a few.

It’s no secret DaBaby was headed toward becoming the biggest thing in Hip Hop. From his songs to his videos to his freestyles, he separated himself from the other rappers in his class. It’s safe to say he has the respect of his peers with all the collaborations he has. Let’s look at some of DaBaby’s best song collaborations to date.

11. “Levitating”- Dua Lipa ft. DaBaby (2020)

Many people would say DaBaby went pop after his song with Dua Lipa. Who knew he would sound this good on a production like this? It looks like Dua Lipa did, and it gave her a hit record. Hip Hop is popular music and has been for years now. It just makes sense for collaborations like these. DaBaby shows he has different flows in his arsenal, making it a bright spot in his catalog. This is one of DaBaby’s best collabs and songs.

10.“Baby Sitter” ft. Offset (2019)

DaBaby gets clever on “Baby Sitter.” The song is a play on his name and the word “babysitter.” A babysitter provides care to a child when the guardian is not present. For the track, DaBaby taps Offset for a verse. Offset takes advantage of this solo opportunity and holds his own. ”Baby Sitter” was the second single behind “Suge,” giving the impression that club songs like these may be his signature sound.

9. “Lonely” ft. Lil Wayne (2021)

It’s always good to see the young and old rappers collaborate. DaBaby taps Lil Wayne for their single, “Lonely.” The song did not appear on either artist’s album, but the video is very creative. DaBaby directs the video for “Lonely” as he plays The Joker from the Batman franchise. It looks as if he is in an insane asylum with Lil Wayne. Both rappers make their lyrics come to life in this short single. “Lonely” may not be as popular, but it’s one of DaBaby’s better songs.

8. “Toes” ft. Lil Baby & Moneybagg Yo (2019)

After connecting on “Baby,” the Babys get together for “Toes.” They also bring Moneybagg Yo along, as he has worked with both artists before. Though the song has three artists, it’s a pretty quick song. All artists along with the chorus rapped by DaBaby finish in under 2:30. It seemed as if that was the theme for his sophomore project, Kirk, as most of the songs are under three minutes. This Lil Baby and Moneybagg Yo collaboration is one of the highlights of this album. Other guests included Kevin Gates, Nicki Minaj, Migos, Chance The Rapper, and Gucci Mane.

7. “Cry Baby”- Megan Thee Stallion ft. DaBaby (2020)

“Cry Baby” seems like a part two to “Cash Shit.” This time, DaBaby raps the chorus and in his verse, he once again mentions his collaborator. In return, Megan mentions DaBaby’s government name, Jonathan. Their relationship on wax is reminiscent of Nicki Minaj and Drake. Both are flirty, open, and very sexual on this record. It’s safe to say both rappers are comfortable with each other. Just before this track, DaBaby tapped Megan Thee Stallion for “Nasty” with Ashanti. It’s just as raunchy as “Cry Baby.”

6. “Nasty” ft. Megan Thee Stallion & Ashanti (2020)

DaBaby used a sample of Ashanti’s “Baby” to make “Nasty.” Even better, he taps the legendary R&B singer for a verse. The North Carolina rapper gets the best of both worlds on this track. You hear the raunchy and aggressive bars from Megan Thee Stallion. While Ashanti’s verse gives off subtle but sexy. DaBaby is caught in the middle of this music threesome. Everyone gets a turn to deliver a satisfying song.

5. “Baby”- Quality Control, Lil Baby & DaBaby (2019)

Surely, Quality Control would love to have both “Babys” on their roster. Well, at least they have one with Lil Baby being one of the faces of the label. DaBaby is featured on “Baby,” a track from the compilation album from Quality Control. They both have similar names, but you can clearly mark out their differences. One thing’s for sure, though, they both can rap, and this made for a good record.

4. “For The Night”- Pop Smoke ft. DaBaby & Lil Baby (2020)

“For the Night” ended up being a hit for Pop Smoke. The song was released on his posthumous album, Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon. DaBaby winds up on another song with Lil Baby after not being on the track initially. “For the Night” sounds like a record to drive at night as it has a smooth but upbeat sound. It’s a perfect record for the album’s title. With an album filled with standout features, “For the Night” arguably has the two best artists on it. Many believe this song was one of the best songs of 2020.

3. “Under The Sun”- Dreamville, J.Cole, Lute, ft. DaBaby (2019)

Are there more J.Cole and DaBaby collaborations coming? After “Under The Sun,” many have wanted more from the two Carolina rappers. J. Cole is often regarded as an elite emcee. Therefore DaBaby had to come with his A-game. And he did just that as his verse was a standout off the Dreamville mixtape, Revenge of the Dreamers III. The “Suge” rapper proves he can stand next to the best of them.

2. “Cash Shit”-Megan Thee Stallion ft. DaBaby (2019)

At one point, DaBaby and Megan Thee Stallion were the hottest acts in Hip Hop. Everything Megan touches seems to turn to gold, and at one point DaBaby could not miss on a record. They combine to make “Cash Shit,” their first song together, which comes off the Houston Hottie’s Fever mixtape. Many felt the song was one of the best songs to come out in 2019. In his verse, DaBaby gets clever and raps about a woman named Megan. He even calls her a stallion. The way DaBaby flirts with the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper makes you want more music from the two.

1. “Rockstar”- DaBaby ft. Roddy Ricch (2020)

“Rockstar” might be DaBaby’s biggest song to date. When he dropped this, he was one of the hottest rappers out. He also did himself a favor by collaborating with another young hot rapper, Roddy Ricch. This might have been the song that helped his career take an incline. It was his first No. 1 record. This record is special as it isn’t a typical Hip Hop record with rock and pop sounds. This is the first time DaBaby displays his versatility and creativity.

Roddy Rich’s Biggest Collabs, From Nipsey To DaBaby

Roddy Ricch took off in 2018 and hasn’t looked back since. He’s one of the younger artists from the West Coast looking to lead the way for years to come. However, just a few years in, the Compton rapper has been able to make songs with some of the biggest artists in music. Roddy Rich’s collaborations have made for some of his best work. He was able to make a song with the late Nipsey Hussle before he was murdered.

On the West Coast, you have YG, Tyga, Kendrick Lamar, and Vince Staples, to name a few. Like these artists, Roddy Ricch is next in line to be a star. However, he may already be looked at in the same light as his peers. Besides Kendrick, Roddy has the most Grammy nominations and wins. After collaborating with Mustard, the 24-year-old has continued making music with high-profile artists. Clearly, he gets the respect of his peers as he has been on plenty of features. Arguably, he’s one of the leaders of the new school. Let’s take a look at some of Roddy Rich’s biggest collabs.

“Rockstar” – DaBaby ft. Roddy Ricch

Within a short time, DaBaby became one of the most beloved rappers in Hip Hop. He secured his first No. 1 record with “Rockstar.” This gave Roddy Ricch his second No. 1 song and another Grammy nomination. Just a couple of years in and success with songs like these have Roddy on many people’s radars.

“The Woo” – Pop Smoke ft. 50 Cent & Roddy Ricch

There are not too many artists to do it like 50 Cent. The Queens rapper is a legend in Hip Hop. Although he does not make music as much anymore, his name on a record is still valuable. Before Pop Smoke’s untimely murder, the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper believed the Brooklyn rapper was just like him. They joined forces for “The Woo” and tapped Roddy Ricch.

This Roddy Ricch collab put Roddy in an exclusive category. Pop Smoke was soaring to new heights, and with the guidance of 50 Cent, who knows what he could have been. Not many artists can say they were on the same song as the “Dior” rapper. Roddy Ricch can. Not too many artists can say they have a hit with 50 Cent. But Roddy Ricch can.

“Stunnaman” – Birdman ft. Roddy Ricch & Lil Wayne

Birdman will forever be a part of Hip Hop history. He and his brother, Slim, created one of the most powerful record labels in music. Before Roddy Ricch was born, Cash Money Records took over Hip Hop. In the late nineties and early 2000s, they were a force to be reckoned with. The label had Lil Wayne before he was a teenager and saw him become one of the best rappers Hip Hop has seen right before their eyes. With Wayne, Cash Money Records eventually added Young Money Records, which birthed the leaders of this generation in Drake and Nicki Minaj. On “Stunnaman,” Roddy Ricch finds himself amongst Hip Hop royalty rapping alongside Birdman and Wayne. There are not too many people bigger than these two in Hip Hop. This Roddy Ricch collab is a gem.

“Racks In The Middle” – Nipsey Hussle ft. Roddy Ricch & Hit-Boy

Hip Hop felt a void when Nipsey Hussle was murdered. His music, message, and spirit were something Hip Hop had never seen before. Roddy Ricch described his relationship with Nipsey and how “Racks in the Middle” came about on The Breakfast Club. He clearly valued his relationship with the Crenshaw rapper as he explains they were friends before music. Hit-Boy has been a go-to producer for years, and Roddy has already rapped over one of his beats early in his career. “Racks in the Middle” was the last song we heard from Nipsey before he died. It earned all three artists two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. They won the latter at the 2020 Grammy Awards. This Roddy Rich collab will always be a highlight in his career.

“Pure Souls” – Kanye West ft. Roddy Ricch & Shenseea

There are not too many people, in general, bigger than Kanye right now. He makes headlines whenever he is out in public. His music remains a topic of conversation whenever he drops. For his Donda album, he tapped Roddy Ricch for “Pure Souls.” This Roddy Rich collab came as a surprise. This was big for both artists as they let go of their quick feud. After Ye posted a video of him urinating on one of his Grammy Awards, “The Box” rapper took to Instagram to disapprove of Kanye’s antics. The feud did not last long, as “Pure Souls” was born shortly thereafter.

“Cooped Up” – Post Malone

“Cooped Up” is one of the lead singles from Post Malone’s Twelve Carat Toothache album. Though it is early in his career, Roddy finds himself on another radio hit. Post Malone is one of the biggest stars in music today. “Cooped Up” is the first collaboration between these two. Roddy excels on the pop-rock-Hip Hop track showing his versatility. Joining forces with the likes of Post Malone only increases Roddy’s popularity across all audiences.  This Roddy Ricch collab can be played in any setting.

“Ballin’” – Mustard

In 2019, Roddy Ricch and Mustard combined for two hit records, “Ballin’” and “High Fashion.” The former gave Roddy his first Grammy nomination of his career. Mustard already proved to be a hitmaker years before he linked up with Compton artist. This collaboration elevates Roddy’s resume as ”Ballin” may be the most important song in his catalog. He has Mustard to thank for that. The producer/artist is known for making great music with California artists, such as YG and Tyga. This Roddy Ricch collab was one of the best songs in 2019.
