DaBaby Was Reportedly The Shooter In An Incident At His North Carolina Home
This past Wednesday night, it was reported that an intruder broke into DaBaby’s North Carolina home and was shot and injured. The shooting happened on the football field of the property (that’s right, DaBaby has a football field) and a report in The Morgantown Herald said the person was taken to a medical facility. Now new details have emerged, including a 911 call, that confirm that the shooter was in fact DaBaby himself.
There are quite a few confirmations of what happened here, but the most obvious one, is DaBaby posting an Instagram a clip from Cam’ron’s 2002 film Paid In Full and basically admitting it with a caption that read, “chose not to take a n***** life the other day & it felt great. Buddy ain’t deserve to go, I step righteously. Heal up & live my boy! Just don’t bring ya ass back.”
TMZ reports that according to their “law enforcement sources,” the intruder was shot in the leg after a verbal exchange. DaBaby then called 911 and cooperated with police. WSOC-TV released a recording of the 911 call and while much of it is unintelligible, you can hear the caller (DaBaby, presumably) saying, “He’s trespassing on my property… I don’t know what he’s here for, what he’s here to take, what he’s here to do, but he’s shot in his leg. He’s neutralized until you guys get here.”
This is not the first incident of gun violence for DaBaby, who’s also apparently been getting a number of noise complaints from neighbors since he moved into the Troutman, NC home in 2019. In 2018, he shot an alleged assaulter at a Walmart who eventually died and was put on probation for a year. He also currently being sued for assault in a separate incident involving DaniLeigh’s brother. Trouble always seems to find trouble and DaBaby can’t seem to stay away from it.

DaBaby Reportedly Shoots a Trespasser at His North Carolina Estate
DaBaby shot a trespasser in self-defense on his property in North Carolina. According to TMZ, DaBaby exchanged words with the intruder before shooting him in the leg. DaBaby would call 911 after the shooting and cooperate with the police as they arrived.
DaBaby was home at his estate in Troutman, North Carolina, when someone came onto the property uninvited. The gunshot wound is considered non-life-threatening, and the victim was transferred to a hospital for treatment.
TMZ spoke with Troutman town manager Ron Wyatt who revealed that you couldn’t walk onto DaBaby’s property by accident, and the rapper occasionally stays there. One of DaBaby’s relatives also resides at the property.
“On 04/13/2022 at around 1945 hours officers with the Troutman Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at 135 Stillwater Road,” Troutman PD said in an online statement. “Officers arrived on scene where they found one subject suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The subject was transported by Iredell County EMS to a medical facility for treatment.
“Due to the ongoing and continuing nature of this investigation, no information as to the names of those involved or the circumstances can be released at this time. This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community at large.”

An Intruder At DaBaby’s North Carolina Home Was Shot And Injured
A person who broke into DaBaby‘s home in North Carolina was shot and injured Wednesday night, according to The Morganton News Herald. Around 7:45 pm police responded to a reported shooting at the property, taking the injured individual to a medical facility for treatment. The person was apparently on the football field on the property, but further details are scant as police are still investigating.
The home has been the center of a number of complaints from neighbors, with 31 calls for service to the Iredell County emergency communications office since the rapper moved in December of 2019. The majority of the complaints regard to noise and lighting, with burglar alarms going off and the construction of a wall and guard towers apparently annoying the citizens of the quiet neighborhood. A report about the complaints quoted some neighbors speculating that the rapper was building a football field — speculation that has turned out to indeed be true.
DaBaby was previously involved in another shooting in 2018. The rapper says that he was approached and threatened by an armed man while shopping at Walmart with his children. DaBaby shot the man, who later died, claiming self-defense. He was later sentenced to one year on probation for carrying a concealed firearm.
