Tory Lanez Not Charged With Witness Intimidation, Court Says Juror 39 Rode With Him In An Elevator

We’re hardly more than a week into Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez’s trial. Already, though, the world is struggling to keep up with all the details pouring out of the courtroom. Seeing as this trial isn’t on full display like Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s was previously this year, we’ve had a much less intimate look at what’s been going on behind closed doors.

What we know so far is that the Houston native’s former BFF, Kelsey Harris, didn’t come through. Prior to her time on the stand the prosecution said she would confirm that she was a witness to Lanez shooting her friend. Her testimony was instead full of forgetful moments, which have some (including Keri Hilson) speculating that she may be a victim of bribery.

In fact, the “Big Ole Freak” rapper’s own attorney, Alex Spiro, made claims that the “Bussin Back” artist looks to have been compromised. As a result of her spotty memory, the prosecution was able to play Harris’ previous interview. In that, she plainly says that the Canadian fired the weapon at her friend.

The discrepancies in Kelsey’s recent testimony and her old story have been undeniably raising eyebrows. So much so, in fact, that Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta motioned to include two new charges of witness tampering on top of Lanez’s existing charges, according to Rolling Stone.

Specifically, she cited allegations that the “Say It” singer offered Thee Stallion and Harris a “$1 million bride” to keep quiet. Additionally, she mentioned California Penal Code 136.1 – a rule that makes dissuading a witness a crime.

Ta told the court, “It’s based on testimony by both the victim and Ms. (Kelsey) Harris [about] statements the defendant made in the car, offering them a million dollar.”

Seeing as the 27-year-old brought up the hush money earlier in the proceedings, Judge David Herriford had some questions. The DA shared that she wasn’t sure what Kelsey’s testimony would be. However, when the recording artist’s former friend was in agreeance with the claims, a filing decision was made.

Lanez’s lawyer, George Mgdesyan was quick to object. Furthermore, he argued that prosecutors have known what Harris would say since as early as September.

Ultimately, Judge Herriford sided with the father of one’s defence, rejecting the additional charges. “I think it’s unfair at this juncture, so I would deny that motion,” he said. He also noted that Tory’s team would be in a “difficult position” putting together a proper response on such short notice.

That’s not the only drama that’s been unfolding in the courtroom so far this week. On Monday (December 19), it was revealed that a female jury member was seen riding in an elevator with Lanez and his legal representatives.

Those live-tweeting from the courtroom say that the woman is known as Juror No. 39. “A younger light-skinned Black woman with braided hair. [Her] style of dress that included pink cheetah print pants last week. [She] was asked to stay behind, then she went back into chambers to talk to Judge Herriford,” Law and Crime‘s Meghann Cuniff wrote.

At this time, it remains unknown if there’s cause to remove the juror. It was additionally noted that she somehow knows Lanez “through Instagram.” However, she insists she can be “fair” because she “generally isn’t on social media.”

Reports say that Juror No. 39 was spotted with Tory on both Friday and Monday. During the latter, reporter James Queally was also on board. “I did not see them talking or hear any discussion of the case,” he confirmed.

As for Thee Stallion’s side of things, yesterday the court heard her former stylist’s testimony. Read all about that here, and check back later for any more updates.

Lil GotIt Reacts After 6ix9ine Mentions Lil Keed To Diss Gunna

The word “snitch” clearly triggers Tekashi 6ix9ine. Hip-hop’s shunned him (with the exception of Akademiks and Wack 100), but he’s apparently the resident expert when it comes to cooperating with authorities. Needless to say, 6ix9ine couldn’t help but react to the viral video of Gunna admitting YSL is a gang.

6ix9ine invoked the name of the late Lil Keed in particular to throw shade at the YSL camp. The Long Live Mexico rapper passed away three days after prosecutors hit Young Thug and YSL with RICO charges. However, one of his final posts reiterated how YSL was not a gang but a label and a family in support of his incarcerated cohorts.

Tekashi used the post to taunt Gunna following his admission that YSL is, indeed, a gang. “Ya dead mans last post on IG,” 6ix9ine wrote. “@gunna if he was alive he be disappointed to the Yes Mam.”

Keed’s brother, Lil GotIt and Young Thugs’ sister, Dolly White, fired back at 6ix9ine. Following his IG diss, Dolly and GotIt told 6ix9ine to refrain from bringing up the late rapper in his attempt to prove his point. “Aye, keep it towards Gunna, bruh. Don’t put my brother’s name in shit, n***a. You trippin’,” he said. “I don’t give a fuck about none of that… I ain’t playin’ about my brother.”

He continued, “I don’t care about security, I don’t care about none of that. Get down with a n***a. on my momma.”

Dolly White also shared a post with Lil GotIt by her side where she shared a similar message. “Chill on that Keed shit, bro. ‘Cause Keed ain’t get killed and this ain’t that type of time… Troll all you want to but chill on that Keed shit,” she said.

At this point, 6ix9ine hasn’t responded to Keed or Dolly White but it seems unlikely that he’ll slow down on his trolling.

Trey Songz Turns Himself In After Previously Denying Bowling Alley Brawl With Woman & Man

Trey Songz seemingly thought he was in the clear following a New York City fight between him and two others earlier this fall. However, a new report from TMZ reveals that the R&B vocalist did end up turning himself in to authorities as a result of the allegations against him.

According to the outlet’s law enforcement sources, the singer was feeling heat at the end of November over the reported altercation. Specifically, he’s facing accusations of striking two people in the face at a bowling alley in October. One of the victims, a woman, was in the hospital afterward to get treatment for her injuries.

When the news first broke, it was said that Songz “punched her in the face repeatedly and dragged her by her hair.” Additionally, sources note that she was an employee at the establishment where the fight went down.

The second victim, a man, claims the Virginia native punched him in the eye. Following the brawl, he allegedly refused any medical treatment.

Immediately, reps for the 38-year-old denied the gossip. From the sounds of the latest reports, his attorney, Mitch Schuster, also believes his client is innocent.

“We have been proactively communicating with NY law enforcement, the DA, and all those involved,” he informed TMZ recently. “While we will respectfully and proactively work through all the appropriate channels we are confident that Trey will be fully cleared of any wrongdoing.”

Currently, Songz is not behind bars. He previously turned himself in at an NYPD station last month. After going through booking and getting a desk appearance ticket for assault, he later left.

A motive for the alleged bowling alley beatdown remains unknown. Additionally, we’re unsure when the “Na Na” hitmaker will have his day in court.

Check back in with HNHH later for any updates on the situation.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Former Stylist Testifies, LA County DA Looking For Missing Ex-Bodyguard: Report

As we head into week two of Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez’s trial, more interesting testimony is coming out on the stand. Previously we heard from the shooting victim herself, as well as her ex-best friend, Kelsey Harris. Now, other figures such as her former stylist, EJ King, have been sharing the details that they recall from that fateful night.

Though he wasn’t at the crime scene when the rap diva was injured by gunfire, the fashion expert did attend a party at Kylie Jenner’s house with his client and her friend. On the stand, King recalled encouraging the Houston native to leave the party earlier in the evening, also noting that she was drinking a considerable amount.

He spoke to the courthouse on Monday (December 19). At the time, the defence began with questions about how he, Megan, and Kelsey protect themselves when security isn’t around. “We’d have tasers, mace,” he shared. When asked specifically about other weapons or a handgun, he responded, “Not that I recall.”

Next, King heard a question regarding Thee Stallion or Harris with something resembling a firearm in their possession. “Possibly… but it’s not my business,” he asserted.

When speaking specifically about the get-together at Jenner’s residence, he made it known that he and his friends stayed later than the other guests. “I remember Corey [Gamble] insinuated to wrap up the party,” the creative director stated. This was allegedly before Tory Lanez’s arrival around 8 or 9 PM.

According to King’s testimony, he encouraged the “Hot Girl Summer” hitmaker to leave. “I don’t like feeling like the last Black [people] in somebody’s house,” he added. Seeing as he doesn’t drink, he “was already on alert” after witnessing Megan make a “slight comment” to the evening’s host.

While Harris is said to have told Jenner, “You’re fun, you’re a vibe,” the 27-year-old reportedly chimed in, “I’m really glad because I thought you were a lame.”

During cross-examination, DDA Alexander Bott described the “Bussin Back” artist as a relatively happy drunk. “Kelsey is just a little Tazmanian devil,” King described. “But she has a lot of bark, so she can cuss you out.” As for “bite,” he says he’s never seen Harris get aggressive.

Upon Lanez’s arrival, both Jenner and Thee Stallion were allegedly happy to see him. More drinking ensued, although the Traumazine creator’s “energy shifted from fun Megan to irritated Megan.” Additionally, her former stylist noted that she can become “aggressive” once faded past a certain point.

“I think you said Megan’s a different person when she’s drunk?” the defence asked. “Yes, when she’s past the faded point,” King responded. “Was she past the faded point that day?” they pressed. “Yes,” he concluded.

While that testimony was certainly interesting, the court is still waiting to hear from Thee Stallion’s former bodyguard, Justin Edison.

This past weekend, reports surfaced claiming that he’s missing. He was due to take the stand on Friday (December 16), however, internet sleuths thought they tracked him down at the FIFA World Cup instead.

Those reports have since been denied, and last we heard, the Los Angeles County District Attorney has sent a team out to search for him.

Yesterday morning, they made a visit to a LA home where they hoped to find him and get some availability for his testimony. Unfortunately, his location remains unknown at this time but he’s not technically a “missing” person.

Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, told TMZ Live that they last heard from Edison on Thursday (December 15) night. It was fully expected he would be in court the next day to provide testimony he thinks could’ve been “devastating.”

The lawyer is under the impression that witness intimidation is going on, noting that prosecutors have launched an investigation. On that same topic, the DA’s office simply said, “No comment.”

Megan Thee Stallion’s Ex-BFF Kelsey’s Diss Track Entered Into Evidence

It’s Day 6 of the Tory Lanez trial, and the week has kicked off with a bang. Megan Thee Stallion’s former stylist was said to have testified today. Additionally, reporter Meghann Cuniff stated, “There is an issue wth a juror that is being discussed in private.”

Cuniff added there wasn’t context given as to what the concern may have been. “But the juror, a younger light-skinned Black woman with braided hair and a style of dress that included pink cheetah print pants last week, was asked to stay behind.”

Later, it was reported that a juror was in an elevator with Lanez and his team on more than one occasion. James Queally of The Los Angeles Times wrote: “There was an ‘incident’ with a juror, per judge, but was not explained. But I did end up an elevator with Lanez, his security and PR folks today, and that specific juror was in there.”

“I did not see them talking or hear any discussion of the case.”

Queally also added that it would be the defense’s turn to lay their case out for the court. It was further stated that Kelsey Harris’ diss track to Megan, “Bussin Back,” would be entered into evidence. Therefore, her lyrics will be analyzed.

In the song, Harris accused Megan of lying to the District Attorney about her, but there were other seemingly damaging references.

It was all good, yeah, about a week ago (About a week ago)
Shout out Bobby Shmurda but this b*tch is really tweaking, bro
If I was the one with the gun you would’ve heard about a murder (R.I.P.)
Said her back was turned but that girl know who really hurt her (I ain’t hurt you, bitch)
Never been a jealous friend and the people really know it (Nah never been)
If you would’vе kept it silent then I would’vе been told it (Bitch)
See I really thought I knew you, thought that you would keep it G
If you wanna talk gangsta, b*tch, I’m really from the street
Imagine lying to the D.A. saying I took some hush money (Huh?)
Put a muzzle on your friends, y’all acting like some crash dummies (Skrrt)

Expect much more about this case this week. The verdict in Harvey Weinstein’s trial stole the spotlight today (December 19), but the public is impatiently waiting for the Tory Lanez trial to conclude.

Nipsey Hussle Murder Case: Eric Holder Denied Bid To Reduce First-Degree Murder Conviction

A judge formally shot down Eric Holder’s bid to reduce his conviction from first-degree murder to a lesser charge.

Holder and his attorney appeared in court on Monday for his sentencing. However, the judge laid down the law when it came down to a motion requesting a reduction of the first-degree murder conviction to second-degree murder or voluntary manslaughter, per Fox11.

In addition to trying to reduce the charge, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge H. Clay Jacke also shot down the possibility of a new trial. Holder’s attorney previously filed a motion for a new trial. The judge postponed Holder’s sentencing date until Feb. 22nd, 2022.

In July, a jury found Holder guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Nipsey Hussle. In addition, the jury also convicted Holder of two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, and assault with a firearm.

During the trial, Holder’s attorney explained that his client shot Nipsey Hussle during a “heat of passion.” If you recall, the incident came about after the California rapper labeled him a snitch publicly. Holder’s lawyer explained that manslaughter charges were more suitable rather than first-degree murder. He said that Holder’s actions were a result of “impulse and rashness.”

Still, a jury found Holder guilty of intentionally using a firearm to cause great bodily harm against the victim.

The death of Nipsey Hussle rippled across the globe. The rapper died on March 31st, 2019 after he was struck by bullets. A medical examiner that testified in the trial said that a bullet ripped through Nipsey’s right abdomen and severed his spinal cord. If he were to survive the gunshot, Nipsey would’ve been paralyzed in his lower body.

We’ll keep you posted on any further updates surrounding Eric Holder’s sentencing for the murder of Nipsey Hussle.

Megan Thee Stallion’s “Missing” Guard Said To Be At FIFA World Cup, Other Security Denies Rumour

A new week is upon us, which means we have more updates from the courtroom housing Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez’s trial. Last week ended with a serious shock. Reports that the Houston native’s ex-bodyguard, Justin Edison, had mysteriously disappeared ahead of his testimony began circulating online.

“We recently learned that Justin Edison went missing right before he was scheduled to appear in court,” attorney Alex Spiro told The Shade Room. The rapper’s ex-employee was due to give testimony last Friday (December 16). He was going to say that the Canadian artist gave him an apology for the shooting, according to the prosecution.

Initially, reports said the LAPD was launching an investigation regarding Edison’s whereabouts. However, TMZ shot those rumours down, though they have no new information on his location.

Thankfully, Media Take Out has come through with answers for us. According to their sources, Thee Stallion’s former bodyguard has himself a new gig – all the way in Qatar. Presently, he’s working as personal security for a “very important person” (who wishes to remain anonymous) attending the FIFA World Cup.

Of course, the games officially ended yesterday (December 18), but that doesn’t mean Edison will be back in the US in time to testify. He apparently has plans to “continue his [current] security gig” until his client is home, safe and sound.

The outlet’s insider believes he won’t make it back until this coming Thursday, at which time the Lanez trial may be wrapped. Photos uploaded to @prime_security214 on Instagram show Edison (thought to be second from left) with a group of other staff. “Eating with a few good men,” the caption reads.

After the FIFA rumours began circulating, internet sleuths left comments on the Prime Security IG page. “Y’all this Meg security guard that’s ‘missing’ chile…” one of them reads.

Making a post of their own to address the situation, the account owner wrote, “Before you come on my page or comment on any of my posts know the faces and have the right person. Clowns like this, their mom should’ve swallowed them instead of having you. #PlayWithSomethingSafer.”

At this time, it remains unclear if Justin Edison’s whereabouts are known, or if he will testify. Check back in with HNHH later for more updates on Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion’s trial.

Gunna Will Plead The 5th If Called To Testify Against YSL

Gunna’s attorney, Steve Sadow, says that the rapper intends to plead the 5th if he’s called to testify against YSL. The news comes after Gunna recently accepted a plea deal to be released from Fulton County Jail.

“Yes but he will take the 5th and not testify,” Sadow said in messages shared by The Neighborhood Talk.

Gunna accepted the deal in the courtroom last Wednesday. The judge sentenced him to five years in prison with one year served. However, the four remaining years were suspended, and instead, he will be subject to special conditions including 500 hours of community service.

“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” Gunna said in a statement.

Despite the statement, fans online were quick to assume that Gunna had snitched on his associates. Sadow put these rumors to bed in a post on Instagram afterward.

“Gunna did not snitch to get out of jail,” Sadow wrote. “He has said nothing and is not cooperating. His plea statement cannot be used in court against any other defendant. So please stop spreading lies.”

As for Young Thug, his trial will begin in January. His attorney, Brian Steel, says that plea deals being offered to other members of YSL are proof his client is being targeted.

Check out Steve Sadow’s comments below via The Neighborhood Talk.

Shanquella Robinson’s Father Speaks On Seeing Her Lifeless Body: “All I Want Is Justice”

When the story of Shanquella Robinson’s tragic death first went public, updates regarding the ongoing investigation were frequent. Now, as we near the two-month anniversary of her passing, the late woman’s family remains without answers from the FBI and Mexican authorities.

Earlier this month, a rally was held in the 25-year-old’s hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. At the time, various members of the community spoke out with words of comfort as well as determination to help Shanquella’s parents. Her father, Bernard was obviously emotional and even got vulnerable about his frustration with the situation.

“All I want is justice,” he told the crowd before him. Initially, Bernard and his wife were told that their daughter died due to alcohol poisoning. Upon seeing her lifeless body in a casket, though, he says he knew that wasn’t true. “I saw the knot… The cut on her lip,” the mourning man recalled.

“I know for a fact that they did some bodily harm to her,” he declared. As you may know, in the wake of Robinson’s death, a video began circulating online that shows a brutal attack during a vacation in Cabo. The circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear, though U.S. authorities are working with Mexican police to ensure Shanquella’s killer is held accountable.

While speaking at the rally, Bernard said, “I just want the Mexican authorities, the embassy, to do the right thing, make it right. Because they came over there on your soil and did what they did and came back here.”

In previous interviews, he and his wife revealed that their daughter’s friends came by to visit after returning from Cabo. After her death certificate came back claiming atlas luxation as the cause of her demise, though, they all vanished.

The last we heard, a warrant is out for at least one of Shanquella’s six friends, said to be a female. Additionally, the U.S. will work with Mexico to extradite the suspect in this case.

The wait for updates has been so frustrating, that even Yung Miami is using her platform to push for answers. “Update on Shanquella killers?” she wrote over the weekend. “Are they in jail? I can’t stop thinking about her.”

Amar’e Stoudemire Arrested For Punching Daughter Hours After Receiving Master’s Degree

Authorities arrested Amar’e Stoudemire the night of December 17th for allegedly punching his daughter in the jaw and slapping her several times. Police charged the former NBA player with battery and stated that the incident came from an argument between Stoudemire’s daughter and her grandmother. Moreover, officers reported that his daughter was “giving attitude” when he struck her. Officers set his bail at $1,500. Also, this happened just hours after Stoudemire posted that he received his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Miami. He celebrated his 40th birthday mere weeks ago.

According to police reports, the former basketball star’s daughter told them that her father struck her hard enough to draw blood. However, it’s unclear whether this was his 17-year-old daughter or his 14-year-old daughter. An officer working the case wrote “I observed blood stains on the victim’s sweater and sweatpants” on the arrest report.

“The mother of the victim, Alexis Welch,” they continued, “showed me the photo she received from her daughter, which shows the victim crying and blood running down her face.”

Welch told authorities that after her daughter sent her a picture, she rushed to get her and her two sons. Also, Stoudemire allegedly asked Welch to pick their daughter up because she was “being disrespectful.”

Reportedly, at around 8pm on Saturday (December 17th), the grandmother called Stoudemire’s daughter. She responded, “What?” Then, her father “rushed inside her room and asked her why she was giving attitude.” Later, his daughter said she wasn’t having a tone, and she said her father told her “You’re talking back again.” The daughter reported that the 40-year-old then struck her.

Meanwhile, the UM graduate said that his daughter called Welch to pick her up. She was sad “because she received a whooping from him for being disrespectful and a liar.” When authorities arrived on the scene, they saw bloodstains and arrested Stoudemire for punching his daughter. His bond is set at $1,500.

The last we heard of Amar’e Stoudemire, he was calling on Kyrie Irving to apologize for his antisemitic comments. Stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates on this story.
