He spent months preparing himself for a new season of his career, but today (January 16), Lil Tjay has been arrested. Last summer, his fans sent him well wishes and prayers after he was attacked in New Jersey. He suffered several injuries after reportedly being shot seven times during a botched robbery.
Following a lengthy recovery, Tjay has returned to entertaining his fans from one stage to the next. He’s even shown off the scars from the bullet wounds. His supporters have anticipated the next phase of his career, but he had a minor setback. TMZ reports that while the rapper was in the Bronx, he was detained by police.

This is a developing story, so information is scarce. However, the outlet also stated that Tjay was arrested in connection with an “alleged weapons violation.”
Law enforcement reportedly stated they initiated contact with the rapper during a traffic stop. It was noted that Tjay was on his way to film a music video with Bronx native Ice Spice.
After stopping the rapper, police reportedly found a firearm in his vehicle. It is unclear why they searched the vehicle in the first place.
Videos of the arrest have popped up on social media after bystanders recorded the incident. In one clip, the rapper is escorted to a police vehicle as the person recording asks if he is okay.
The explosive case developing against Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan has become a worldwide phenomenon. The brothers were arrested last month in Romania after authorities claimed they were leading an organized crime operation. It is alleged that the Tates coerced women into believing they were dating before forcing them to create pornographic content for their online channel.
Andrew Tate established himself as a self-described misogynist social media influencer. Following his arrest, an audio clip of Tate telling a woman he “loved” sexually assaulting her was released. In an interview with the BBC, Tate’s head of security, Bogdan Stancu, said he only witnessed his boss ask for women to leave, not stay.

According to Stancu, he saw more than 100 women visit the Tates’ home within his two-year employment. He claims he was even advised to “physically remove women from the Tate house,” reports the BBC. However, “no force was ever used.”
The security guard further stated that the way Andrew Tate presents himself to the public doesn’t match how he is behind closed doors.
“Some of the girls misunderstood the reality and believed [they would] be his next wife,” said Stancu. “When they realized the reality, it’s easy to transform from a friend into an enemy, and make a statement to the police.”
While this seems to align with the police’s assertations that Tate coerced the women, Stancu remained dedicated to his employer.
“I never doubt Andrew,” he also said. Stancu called the accusers “young and stupid.”

Additionally, Stancu claimed that Tate was constantly worried about someone coming after him. He was asked if it was all paranoia.
“I would not say ‘paranoid’ but something similar, maybe,” Stancu answered. “He wanted to have a normal life and couldn’t – maybe it’s normal to be a little bit more paranoid.”

Also joining her was Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire, and The Hangover executive producer, Scott Budnick. It’s worth noting that the latter made a documentary on incarcerated teenagers in 2016. Another project is now in the works, sources say.

Moreover, Romanian police recently seized Andrew Tate’s highly valued assets, including luxury cars and watches, at his Bucharest property in Romania. As part of the investigation against him, authorities confiscated a $3.9 million collection of vehicles and jewelry.

Furthermore, the 36-year-old British-American influencer grew notoriety for his lavish lifestyle and misogynistic views. Officials detained him in Bucharest and also charged him with rape and running an organized crime ring. His brother and two other Romanian citizens also face said accusations. While the news shocked many, it’s not entirely surprising given Tate would often brag about his abhorrent behavior.
Moreover, the confiscated assets consist of 15 sport cars and 14 pricey watches, which Romanian police seized on Saturday (January 14). The Romanian Asset Recovery and Management Agency provided said information in a press release. Also, the found cash in several currencies, which brings the total value of the assets up to 18 million lei ($3.9 million).
Even though the official report did not name Tate, pictures from Associated Press and Reuters match the blue Rolls-Royce in Bucharest with the one in the government statement. Also, authorities towed away a BMW, Aston Martin, and Porsche with license plates reading “T8.” Moreover, the residence itself displays the name “Tate” with a lit-up sign.
Meanwhile, a judge upheld an extension of the influencer’s arrest from 24 hours to 30 days on Tuesday (January 10). Afterwards, Tate failed to appeal the seizure of his assets according to an AP report. Romania’s anti-organized crime agency, DIICOT, identified six victims in Tate’s original arrest report. According to their statement, Tate’s gang seduced women with romanticism and then physically hurt and mentally coerced them. Moreover, perpetrators kept them under surveillance and forced them to “perform pornographic demonstrations.” The criminals sexually assaulted at least one woman on two separate occasions, according to the report.

Juice WRLD’s ex-girlfriend Ally Lotti came home to a new whip following her theft and drugs arrest.

Lotti jumped on Instagram following her release to stunt on her detractors. She shared a photo of a brand-new Benz that was waiting for her at home. She revealed the new whip following her and her boyfriend’s arrest at a Walmart in Arkansas.
“Came home the other night to my new penthouse overlooking the river and my brand new 2023 Benz GT,” she wrote. She thanked her boyfriend afterward for the gifts. “You moved mountains for me to b home for my gifts; aka your brand new matching Bentley// you’re surprises are exquisite and your promises, you never break.”
Police arrested Lotti and Carter at a Walmart over the weekend. The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office nabbed Ally on charges of possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with the purpose to deliver at least 2 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft of property. Police released Lotti on $2.5K bond.
Authorities also booked Carter on a theft of property charge. However, they released him without bond shortly after.
Lotti’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, said the arrest occurred because they forgot to ring up an item in self-checkout. However, a security guard detained them, leading to their arrest, which is when the drugs were discovered.
“My clients would never take something intentionally and this seems like a misunderstanding. Subsequent to the arrest for petit theft a search revealed narcotics. I and my co-counsel @legalsicario have been hired to address this for a quick and fair resolution to the outstanding legal matters,” Cohen wrote in a statement.

Once again, Tekashi 6ix9ine is ruffling feathers, and Funk Flex shared a few thoughts. 6ix9ine, along with several other artists, has been vocal about Gunna taking a plea deal in the YSL Rico case. Gunna was the first of eight co-defendants to cop to a plea, sparking a wide range of discussions regarding snitching.
The rapper’s attorney has clarified that Gunna didn’t cooperate with the authorities. However, there seems to be an “unfollow” trend happening at the moment, and it’s reported that rappers like Lil Baby, Meek Mill, and Polo G have quietly deleted Gunna.
Meanwhile, 6ix9ine has made Gunna a target. He’s compared the response to his legal controversy to that of the Georgia hitmaker, and Funk Flex chimed in with a post where he says he’s no longer boycotting 6ix9ine’s music.

Flex also added that “many of your favorite [artists] cooperate with law enforcement.” He said he didn’t want to name names.

Flex also said Bobby Shmurda, Rowdy Rebel, Fetty Wap, Boosie Badazz, and Young Thus “are the last of the stand up tradition.” He was seemingly referencing the rappers who did their prison time.

The case of YNW Melly is still developing, and his associate YNW Bortlen allegedly spoke to police about the incident that provoked his arrest. Moreover, newly released audio shows a conversation between Bortlen and an unidentified speaker. During the exchange, the YNW associate spoke briefly on the night two close friends, YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy, died in a shooting.

“I’m trying to make sure I don’t get hit,” the rapper began. “And you’re telling me about this- I don’t know, you know what I’m saying? I’m driving… S**t crazy, bro.”
Furthermore, the last update we got from Melly was a plea for his life. Moreover, the “Mixed Personalities” rapper posted on Instagram that he “feared for [his] life” after threats from officials at his prison.
“As of this moment today I am officially in fear of my life,” Melly wrote last December. “A new Captain named Hubert and XO Jenkins have taken over the jail for two weeks now. They’ve handed out even harsher punishments for me [than] the previous ones in place.
“They are watching my every move on camera,” he continued. “Making sure I don’t use the phone to tell the world how I am being mistreated, discriminated, threatened physically, harassed… [Deputies, lieutenants, and sergeants] say ‘they will hide me from the world’ and threaten to ‘beat my ass every day.’ If I tell my lawyers they will lie and say I hit them first.”
Meanwhile, many assume that the person Bortlen spoke to is a detective. While the rapper did not provide any specific details or incriminations in the clip, the other voice goes on.
“I know it’s not for you to worry about,” he began. “But if you told me it happened there, there’s got to be some evidence there… There’s going to be broken glass over there, when the windows got shot out. There’s going to be casings from the people shooting at your car. Okay, there’s going to be stuff, evidence over there. Right now, there’s nothing, okay? I kind of think I know what happened.”
While it seems the other voice sought out more details, the released clip cuts off at that moment. Moreover, the lack of evidence as of now seems to hint at a difficult case to make heads or tails of. Regardless, confessions and conversations like these will prove instrumental to the “Murder On My Mind” rapper’s case.

Tory Lanez’s court battles continue as he hired a powerhouse defense lawyer and legal team for his appeal. After authorities found him guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion, he fired his original attorneys. Now, he’s hired Jose Baez, who famously and successfully represented Casey Anthony when she was accused of murdering her daughter.

According to TMZ reports, sources close to the artist’s representatives said Baez will work with attorneys David Kenner and Matthew Barhoma. Moreover, these two new members of his team also have their fair share of experience. Kenner represented Suge Knight and got him probation on a robbery charge and also worked with him on his manslaughter case. In addition, Kenner also beat a murder case for Snoop Dogg around the same time he represented Knight in the ’90s.
Also, Baez worked for Aaron Hernandez in his high-profile case. Before the football player took his own life, the attorney fought for an appeal of his conviction in the murder of Odin Lloyd. Prior to this case, he helped Hernandez beat a double murder case and represented many celebrities.
Still, all eyes are now set on Tory Lanez’s future. Recently, Kenner requested to a judge to postpone Lanez’s sentencing so he can catch up with the trial’s court transcripts. If he catches up, he will be able to prepare his appeal more effectively. Later, the judge granted said request, and the rapper’s sentencing is now set for February 28th. Moreover, he’s facing 22 years in prison and potential deportation to Canada.
Even with all this drama surrounding the case, the people affected by it are starting to heal. Some shocking footage released online recently, showing police arresting Jaguar Wright for an alleged domestic dispute. Moreover, the video comes from the incendiary R&B singer’s husband, who filmed the incident and shared it on social media. According to her husband, she and an ex-cult member named Solar came to the barbershop he was at. During the altercation, they fist-fought and Wright allegedly dumped some of her son’s ashes.

Furthermore, in the video that Wright’s husband shared, he explains his side of the story. Before that in the video, you can see authorities take the singer away.
“She came up here and assaulted me while I was at a f***ing barbershop,” he said. “Her and f***ing Solar came to the barbershop… bruised me and assaulted me. Throwing [her son’s] ashes out the car, calling n***as b***hes and hoes. Somebody else called the cops on her. I can’t calm her down.”
Last we heard of Jaguar Wright in the news, she made some damning accusations of assault to her ex-partner, Common. From what Wright’s husband explained, she’s been very involved in alleged cult behavior with supposed members. While police took her away, he aired out his frustrations with her proximity to another circle.
“I never caused this to my wife,” he stated. “She did this to herself. Hanging out with… motherf***ing sex cultists… they both f***ing drunk as f**k.” Later, he explained an incident that happened the night before where they fought over a gun. However, it seems they called the cops for that incident as well, although it’s the only account we have of the incident.
“Please pray for her,” her husband pleaded in the video. “Please, please, please pray for her. Pray for us… I don’t know why she did this shit, bro.”
That being said, in another video from Wright herself, you can see a small part of the fight between Wright and her husband. As multiple people both from the barbershop and close to each party try to intervene, you can hear the argument between everyone.
Afterwards, the singer goes back to her car, calling out her husband’s entourage and asking for Solar. Also, the video shows her throwing what seem to be her son’s ashes, as she mentions him. Whatever the case, people in the comments are hoping that she gets help soon.

On Saturday (January 14) evening, circulating reports stated that Juice Wrld’s ex, Ally Lotti, was arrested. Thanks to mugshots, the world has confirmation of these allegations. More details have been coming out in the hours since.
As HipHopDX reports, the 29-year-old caught police’s attention early on Saturday morning. Her charges include possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with the purpose to deliver, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and theft of property.

Records show that Lotti’s jail was the Crittenden County Detention Centre in Memphis, Tennessee. Most of her day was spent behind bars, but at 8:45 PM posting a $2,525 bond sent her home.
The Instagram influencer – born Alicia L. Leon – didn’t act alone. A young man named Carter Jamison was arrested alongside her. According to DJ Akademiks, he’s her current romantic partner and received his own charges for theft of property. Unlike his girlfriend, though, he didn’t have to make bond and was free by Saturday morning.
Before landing in this situation, Lotti’s relationship with the late Juice Wrld led her to skyrocket to fame. The two spent approximately 12 months together prior to his passing at Chicago’s Midway International Airport in December 2019.

At the time, the “Lucid Dreams” hitmaker suffered a seizure following a private flight from California. His ultimate cause of death was an accidental overdose of oxycodone and codeine.
Since then, though, Lotti has come forward alleging that the reports are inaccurate. “There’s a lot of shit y’all don’t know that I f*cking grieved through myself while I let y’all grieve and talk mad shit on me. I don’t care,” she previously ranted on social media.
