In the wake of a controversy over whether he really counts as hip-hop or not, Tommy Richman will apparently keep plugging away at promoting his debut album, Coyote, with a full slate of 2025 tour dates. The “Million Dollar Baby” singer went on a mini-tour ahead of the album’s release, but now that it’s out, it looks like he’s garnered enough support to make a full 27-stop tour possible. The Coyote tour begins in February at The Showbox in Seattle, Washington, and will run through April 1st in Saint Paul, Minnesota, before hopping the pond for a handful of dates in Europe.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 15 at 10 AM local time, while pre-sales will kick off tomorrow (Wednesday), November 13 at 10 AM local. You can find more information here. You can see the full tour dates below.

Tommy Richman Shared His ‘Coyote’ Tracklist Featuring MyNameIsntJMack, Paco, Trevor Spitta, & Zachary Moon

Tommy Richman blew up with “Million Dollar Baby,” his single that debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 on May 11. Richman followed that with “Devil Is A Lie,” which peaked at No. 32 on the Hot 100 in July.

So, the bar is high for Coyote, his debut full-length album due out this Friday, September 27.

After staging his Before The Desert mini tour, Richman revealed the album’s tracklist on Tuesday, September 24.

The 11-track offering does not include “Million Dollar Baby” or “Devil Is A Lie,” but the tracklist does have “Whitney” and “Thought You Were The One,” which Richman released as singles last week and in late August, respectively.

Richman will release Coyote via Pulse Records, which partnered with Brent Faiyaz’s Iso Supremacy in August 2023, as exclusively reported by Billboard at the time. Richman was their first signee.

Tommy Richman Drops “WHITNEY” One Week Ahead Of Upcoming LP

Tommy Richman has been upsetting but also impressing a lot of listeners in 2024. He’s been in the professional music business for longer than that. However, this has really been his coming out party without a doubt. The release of “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” has propelled that for sure, but he’s proven to be much more than that. That’s something he’s looking to show the doubters, according to a statement obtained from Uproxx. “I’ve been building up my discography for years. I’m not a one-hit-wonder”. What he’s also looking dispel the belief that he has one mode of singing, which is that expressive falsetto delivery. While it’s still prevalent, Tommy Richman does switch up the production style on “WHITNEY”.

This is presumably the last promotional track we are going to receive before the release of his next album, COYOTE. The project is slated to drop on next Friday, September 27, and is going to be carrying 11 songs. As of now, it looks like “THOUGHT YOU WERE THE ONE”, his most recent record outside of “WHITNEY”, is serving as the lead-off cut. That means that “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” and “DEVIL IS A LIE” are being axed from the tracklist. But we will just have wait and see. On “WHITNEY”, Tommy is once again delivering a more heartbreaking cut, as it seems that this woman he’s talking about is not as ideal as he once thought. As we mentioned though, the production choice is different, as he goes in synth-pop/nu-wave direction with a driving series of punchy drums. Things really take off vocally on the chorus too, as Tommy wails away across it.

Quotable Lyrics:

Why do things get odd?
I don’t know, I said, b****, I don’t know
So, let me just understand this, understand you, yeah
I can’t think of so many ways to try to give you some chances lately
How many times I tried to be so simple, baby
So simple, baby

Tommy Richman Delivers An Emotional Ballad With “THOUGHT YOU WERE THE ONE”

Tommy Richman has become both a darling and a mortal enemy in the eyes of hip-hop purists. The DMV/Woodbridge, Virginia singer and rapper has been making waves in the underground/indie scene for a few years now. Since being taken under by R&B mainstay Brent Faiyaz, his career has really blossomed. He’s now a superstar in the making and like we said earlier there are some mixed feelings towards his growing popularity. “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” is the record that’s been ruffling some feathers, but he is clearly not looking to fit into any mold. Tommy Richman is showing that with each new release, including on “THOUGHT YOU WERE THE ONE”.

This single number four or five from his next full-length project COYOTE, which will be out on September 27. Part of the reason that Tommy Richman doesn’t really conform to any sort of stereotype are his unique production choices and wild vocal delivery. His high pitch notes are something that no one could really replicate in our opinion. It might sound goofy and too over the top to some, but to us its a breath of fresh air. His upper register allows for the emotional weight of the song to really shine through. You can hear the wishful thinking in his voice somehow, as he dreams about wanting a girl to be in his life. Check out the single with the link below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Maybe thеre’s a chance if I pray every day, I’ma get what I want to
I dreamed last night, you’re in my head
You’re always sticking with me even when I don’t want you
I’m treating you right, not doing you wrong
I know you won’t forget the night you spent so long
Looking at my face, my eyes are a maze

Tommy Richman Announces Debut Album ‘COYOTE’ for Sept. 27th

unnamed (1)

Rising star Tommy Richman has officially announced the release of his highly anticipated debut album, COYOTE, set to drop on Sept. 27th via ISO Supremacy/PULSE Records. The announcement comes alongside the release of the latest COYOTE visual trailer, further fueling excitement for what is shaping up to be a monumental year for the artist.

Richman has been making waves with his hit singles “DEVIL IS A LIE” and “MILLION DOLLAR BABY,” both of which have charted on Billboard’s Hot 100. “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” has solidified its status as a cultural phenomenon, currently holding the #1 spot on Mediabase’s Top 40 and Billboard’s Pop Airplay Chart. The track also topped Billboard’s Global 200 chart and TikTok’s Billboard Top 50, recently surpassing 1 billion global streams. Celebrated as the song of the summer, “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” was included in former President Barack Obama’s 2024 Summer Playlist.

COYOTE marks Richman’s debut album following his signing with fellow DMV-native Brent Faiyaz’s label, ISO Supremacy/PULSE Records. The album features songs that began during a challenging period in Richman’s life, later finalized in the desert in early 2024. Richman sees COYOTE as a thematic follow-up to his 2022 EP, ALLIGATOR, showcasing his artistry and range.

In addition to the album, Richman is set to embark on his first headlining tour. Due to high demand, he has added a live show in Chicago on September 15th after selling out previously announced shows in Washington D.C., New York, and Los Angeles. Earlier this month, Richman made his late-night TV debut with a performance of “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Rap Duo Coyote Team Up For The Collab Of A Lifetime With Shaquille O’Neal On “3 Lokos”

The rap combo of brothers Ladies Love Guapo and Ricky Blanco is fairly new to the Los Angeles rap scene. They started releasing music to streaming platforms about three years ago, and they have already recruited a legend to their newest single. “3 Lokos” features NBA and Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal, who if you were not aware is big in the music scene. The Diesel is also a DJ and longtime rapper, releasing his first song back in 1993, “(I Know I Got) Skillz.” That song would appear on his first studio album, Shaq Diesel.

Shaq quickly followed up a year later with his second full-length, Shaq-Fu: Da Return. However, he would take a long break from rapping until a few years past his retirement in 2011. In fact, 2016 was the next time he would hop on a beat. “My Squads Lit” by Pairanoid and Kryoman was the first track he would appear on in over 22 years. Since then, the Big Aristotle has become a massive DJ, packing outdoor shows and sending fans into moshpits. All of this history brings us to this new track from Coyote, “3 Lokos.”

According to TMZ, Shaq has been a fan of theirs for quite a while. Over time they formed a relationship, and the three of them began to work together in the studio. “[Shaq] was like as long as it’s some hardcore stuff, I’m down. So we made a hardcore hip hop ’90s-type song and we’re like ‘Bro, let’s send it to Shaq,’ and he got on it, did his thing, he spit like 32 bars. He went off!” Ladies Love Guapo said. Shaq certainly goes crazy over the aggressive instrumental. Shockingly, he does not curse one time, making it even more impressive. Hopefully, we get more moments like this from the Shaqtus.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new track, “3 Lokos,” by Coyote and Shaquille O’Neal? Did Shaq rap well on this cut? Is he the greatest former or current NBA player that can rap? We want to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
