Sexyy Red’s NSFW Beauty Brand Prompts Backlash Over Raunchy Product Names

Sexyy Red has dealt with pearl-clutching backlash ever since she blew up, from boring takes about her twerking too much to some legitimate criticism of her lewd nature. Even though most of this conversation turned into an overreaction online, it’s sometimes easy to see why people are so disgusted by the antics. For example, she recently announced the launch of her new beauty brand, Northside Princess, and the product names are… Creative, to say the least. Here are some highlights: “Bootyhole Brown,” “Yellow Discharge,” “Gonorrhea,” and “Sex On My Period.” With these shade names, it’s funny to think about a middle-aged Macy’s worker restocking “Nut” on shelves.

Jokes aside, this backlash – however understandable – is also the type of reaction that is best expressed by one’s wallet. If you don’t buy it, you don’t really need to say anything else about it for your opinion to be clear to Sexyy Red and her team. She’s much busier elsewhere, wishing Chief Keef a happy birthday amid some alleged love triangle drama and continuing to pop out for electric performances. Still, whether or not Northside Princess is a hit, there is plenty more where these titles came from. They will probably grace a song title or two, if not some lyrical nods.

Meanwhile, in other Sexyy Red news, she recently opened up about postpartum depression following the gold certification of “Get It Sexyy.” “The night get it sexyy was made I was goin thru a lot. Just had my baby felt depressed and was goin thru postpartum,” she recalled on Instagram. “My team in Miami would leave me in the studio to write songs. I would just b in there crying thinkin about life.

“I finally said send me back to St. Louis so I can b around the ones I love and get back to me!” Sexyy Red continued. “Boom I’m in St. Louis. I invite all my sisters and friends to my studio session. We had blunts, bottles, food allet and I came out wit GET IT SEXYY GET IT SEXYY. It really was ah confidence booster for me. We was so turnt all my sadness was gone I love my family period.”

Lizzo Fans Defend Her From Trolls Amid Viral Before-And-After Fitness Comparison

Lizzo has been through a social media firestorm over the past couple of years, both for warranted and unwarranted reasons. On that latter point, at least she’s been able to uphold her body positivity standards and continue to share her love for fans through her shapewear brand YITTY and other public statements and initiatives. However, following the singer’s viral fitness transformation video in which she showed off her workout routine, many haters think that she betrayed her own “unhealthy standards” supposedly promoting being “out of shape” or is only getting fit because of cyberbullying. Her fans quickly clapped back at these misconceptions.

But Lizzo isn’t just receiving a lot of defense on her behalf: she’s also defending other criticized public figures. “For everyone saying that Kamala Harris didn’t do anything when she was VP, please, for $5,000. Do not use Google,” she remarked on social media. “Tell me what any vice president has ever done during their term that was notable that you noticed. It’s funny because when Joe Biden was VP, the only things I really remember him doing was making cool videos with Barack.”

Lizzo Fans Come To Her Defense Amid Trolls’ Reactions To Workout Video

Elsewhere, Lizzo also reacted to how other media satirized her body positivity message and her physical transformation, namely a South Park episode. “Guys, my worst fear has been actualized,” she told fans online when she heard that the animated comedy show jabbed at her. “I’ve been referenced in a South Park episode. I’m so scared. I’m gonna blind duet to it right now. Here we go.” After finishing the clip, the Detroit native said the following. “I  just feel like, damn, I’m really that b***h.” See more fan reactions to Lizzo’s viral fitness video below.

“I’m really that b***h!” Lizzo exclaimed in the South Park reaction. “I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f**k to the point where these… men in Colorado know who the f**k I am and put it on their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years. I’m really that b***h and I showed y’all how not to give a f**k and I’ma keep on showing you how not to give a f**k.”

Kash Doll Claims Her Baby Daddy Was In A Shootout With People Trying To Rob Her

Kash Doll recently shared a harrowing tale on social media about how her baby daddy was in a shootout with a group of people that tried to rob her home in Atlanta. She relayed that she usually doesn’t share her personal matters online, but was so outraged by her overall community situation that she had to speak out. “I’ve been violated bad,” the rapper’s story began. “Since I’ve been in Detroit, I guess people was looking at my Story and they see that I’m not home. And they found that this was the best opportunity to run inside of my house and get all of my Birkin bags in Atlanta.

“However, it’s cool, they got caught,” Kash Doll continued. “They got into a shootout with my child’s father, and the police got all of them. We ain’t took no L. It’s a celebration, but it’s also sad that it’s Black people that’s just running inside of people’s homes trying to take their things. What if my kids was there, what if my sister was there, what if my mom was there? What if he was there asleep and y’all caught him sleeping? They came in with guns! I’m putting y’all in my business today because I’m so upset [with] the community leader over in Brookhaven in the block that I stay in.

“I stay in a nice neighborhood, you know, where I’m the only Black person on my block and the youngest person on my block,” Kash Doll went on. “And this man had the audacity to go to the news. He went to the news and told them that my house is a drug house. Because it’s traffic and a lot of Black people there. He just assumed that since it’s nice cars and other Black, nice, successful people pulling up that’s entertainers, that’s friends, producers, that have nice things as well. And it’s a lot of traffic because I have two kids under two… That I have drugs in my home.

“The sacrifices I make, how hard I work, everything that I do for you to just associate me with drugs just because I’m young, Black, and successful,” Kash Doll concluded. “That’s crazy that you went to the Internet – no, you went to the news, my n***a. And told the news that me and my child’s father is running a drug house. Like, this is the day. I know The Shade Room post stuff. Today is the day that I need you to post this because he need to know why I’m so successful. Why I live in the biggest house on the block. Why I’m Black and I’m the youngest person on the block. And why he keep seeing all these successful cars and all these foreign whips and my kids…”

Chris Brown Reacts To Tank Calling Him A Better Artist Than Michael Jackson

Last week, Tank earned himself a great deal of backlash for his appearance on Stephen A. Smith’s talk show. At one point in the episode, he praised Chris Brown, arguing that he’s a better artist than the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson. He claimed that Breezy beats MJ when it comes to production, songwriting, singing, dancing, and more. The bold take left viewers outraged, and insisting that it’s not even close.

His comments even sparked a reaction from Brown, who took to his Instagram Story yesterday to share a clip from an old interview. In it, he shares his thoughts on being compared to MJ, stating that there’s simply no competition. He added that he’s a huge fan of the late hitmaker, and doesn’t at all believe he’s better than him.

“That’s cap. I stay the hell out of it [the debate]. My personal take is that I wouldn’t even be breathing or being able to sing a song if that man didn’t exist,” he explains in the clip. “So, I don’t know if they look at it like a Jordan and Kobe thing but I can’t even look at it, he’s lightyears ahead. There is no competing with him, hell no. I got shrines of this man hanging up at my house. Hell nah, I’m not better than Michael Jackson.” Clearly, Brown is siding with the masses in this debate and doesn’t have any problem giving credit where it’s due.

What do you think of Tank claiming that Chris Brown is a better overall artist than Michael Jackson? What about all of the backlash he received for the bold take? Joe Budden Checks Michael Rubin For Controversial Take On Black Culture

During his recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, Michael Rubin made some controversial remarks that didn’t sit right with a lot of viewers. He said that he doesn’t like how Black people are quick to “hate” on one another, which he later apologized for. “Look, I’m just being blunt. It’s me, It’s the one thing I’ve learned about Black culture that I don’t like is that Black hate on hate,” he said. Amid backlash, Rubin took to social media to explain that his intention wasn’t to offend anyone, but simply to encourage people to uplift each other. Ultimately, however, he recognized that it was not his place to speak on Black culture.

In a new episode of Joe Budden’s podcast, he weighed in on the debacle. “Did he speak about Palestine?” he asked. “It seems like there’s a lot happening over there… It seems like there’s plenty to say there, he didn’t say a word?” Clearly, Budden thinks Rubin should have stayed in his lane and didn’t appreciate his criticism of another culture. This wasn’t the only part of the interview he wasn’t a fan of, however.

Joe Budden Wonders If Michael Rubin Discussed Palestine On “The Breakfast Club”

Budden went on to discuss Rubin’s comments about Meek Mill, who’s been at the center of sexuality rumors for a while. Rubin explained that despite theories, Meek has “not one gay bone in his body,” and provided some context for the viral video of the rapper doing bunny hops after losing a game of tennis. According to him, it was Meek’s idea. Budden says he wishes Rubin hadn’t addressed this at all, calling it one of his “favorite rumors.”

Pretty Vee Gets Cooked Online For Racist New Video

Pretty Vee has had a pretty hectic few months in the public eye, catching heat for her Sonya Massey comments and other online antics. Moreover, the most recent of these is a new video she uploaded online that depicts her, for lack of a better description, making fun of Asian culture to the tune of Megan Thee Stallion and Yuki Chiba’s “Mamushi.” The comedian dances and salutes in a pretty mocking way, and while it’s clear that it’s just meant as a joke and not an attack, a lot of people didn’t find it very funny. We’ll see if she responds to this backlash in any significant way.

Elsewhere, Pretty Vee recently stepped into the online space to defend B. Simone after a brief and unintentional social media spat with Soulja Boy. “Don’t play with me @souljaboy. You better play with them ones like this but not @thebsimone. Again she said what she said, now WHAT. I rebuke you in the name of Jesus you living creature [several crying-laughing emojis].” We doubt that this scuffle will escalate beyond an isolated viral moment, but it’s Soulja… We wouldn’t put anything past him.

Pretty Vee Faces Heavy Backlash For Offensive Clip

Back to Pretty Vee, though, she also went viral recently for making fun of her ex Rick Ross’ Vancouver incident with Drake fans during her comedy show. For those who didn’t catch that story, Rozay played Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” diss track at a festival in the city, and allegedly refused to turn it off at folks’ request. Then, a group of OVO die-hards confronted Ross and his entourage, resulting in a fight that the rapper feels the aftermath of to this day. In fact, one of these guys actually released a diss track against him, despite the sad reality that he will probably never respond.

Regardless, it’s not as sad as the reality in which Pretty Vee took things too far with this video. Her beef with Rick Ross will probably keep being a background narrative in their careers. But it’s clear that they can stir up controversy for far less than that. Let’s just hope that the next cultural exchange on Vee’s behalf comes with more respect and explanation.

Charlamagne Tha God Thinks Michael Rubin Is Actually Right Despite Backlash

Michael Rubin’s recent appearance on The Breakfast Club resulted in a couple of notable social media narratives that listeners debated over. One of these were his remarks on Drake attending his White Party in the aftermath of his Kendrick Lamar battle. But a far more controversial part of the interview was when the Fanatics mogul remarked on what he thinks is lamentable about Black culture. Particularly, he said that Black people are too quick to hate on each other. While reflecting on these comments on the radio show’s next episode, host Charlamagne Tha God and the rest of the gang explained Rubin’s perspective and even agreed with him.

“Yeah, Meek said Michael shouldn’t have said that out loud,” Charlamagne Tha God’s analysis began. “Michael said one of his friends called and said that wasn’t his place to say it. But guess what? None of those people said he lied, because he didn’t. Now, I’m not into broad generalizations, because we know all Black people don’t hate each other. We know all Black people don’t tear each other down, but it does happen enough for him to make that observation. And it happens enough for us to have those conversations amongst each other.

The Breakfast Club Speaks On Michael Rubin Backlash

“And as I told him, if those are the conversations they’re having in private, bring it to the forefront,” Charlamagne Tha God continued. “We know what it is, we know why it is: white supremacy. And I would rather focus on what he said, which is let’s continue to push each other up. I’d rather focus on that. We literally had a conversation about Jewish people hating on other Jewish people. He started talking about people saying he’s a bad Jew because of how much he supports Black people. We literally had that conversation right after the Black conversation. We had a whole conversation.

“I don’t have any problem with critique,” Charlamagne Tha God concluded. “I don’t have any problem with people being held accountable if they do something foul. To me, that’s not hate. But we all know exactly what Michael Rubin was talking about because we talk about it amongst ourselves. Anyone who doesn’t acknowledge that isn’t actively trying to fix it.”

Lil Rod Addresses Diddy In New Video: “I Want My Money By Monday”

Lil Rod’s lawsuit against Diddy is one of several filings accusing the Bad Boy mogul of sexual assault, harassment, abuse, sex trafficking, and other crimes. Moreover, it seems like Rodney Jones Jr.’s still waiting for his money and expecting Sean Combs to respond eventually, as he detailed in a new video. Uncle Murda ran into Rod at 50 Cent’s “Humor & Harmony Weekend” event, and teased him about being the one to sue Puffy for $30 million. Eventually, Jones Jr. said “I want my money by Monday.” It makes sense that the two men would be joking about this, as neither has much love for Combs and Fif is an even more ardent detractor of his fellow executive’s.

Furthermore, the last update we got on Diddy’s situation is another theory from the G-Unit mogul. “I’m the only person in hip-hop culture that has produced any hit television. Why wouldn’t I be the person to produce it?” he told US Weekly about the documentary he produced about the disgraced multi-hyphenate. “And I’m not on the tapes. See, some of the people who have been around in the culture who are not saying anything. That’s because they’ve been to the parties… They don’t know what part of their experiences are on tape. So it keeps them quiet. And it looks like I’m the only guy, but I’ve been [saying] for years that something’s not right.”

Lil Rod Calls Diddy Out

Elsewhere, Boosie Badazz thinks that other accusers like Cassie want even more money from Diddy, much like how Lil Rod is demanding his cut. “It’s just a mess right now,” he posited during his latest DJ Vlad interview. “It’s just a mess everywhere right now. Cassie and that side don’t sound too happy. I know she ain’t got no $30 million.”

Meanwhile, as far as Diddy’s legal situation, there haven’t really been much updates on his whereabouts or his moves. Instead, a lot of recent conversation revolved around Yung Miami’s Caresha Please confessions about their relationship. As for his numerous lawsuits on the table, we haven’t really seen much development in any of them. But all of that could change very quickly, so we need to simply keep our eyes peeled and keep asking for what’s next.

Afrika Bambaataa Reunites With Sexual Assault Accuser That Walked Back His Allegations

Afrika Bambaataa has one of hip-hop’s most complicated, controversial, and crucial legacies in legendary and ugly ways alike. The hip-hop originator and pioneer also faced a slew of child sex trafficking and sexual assault accusations over the past eight years or so, which have really tainted his contributions to the culture in at least a small but nonetheless significant way. However, one of his accusers, Ronald “Bee-Stinger” Savage, linked up with him at an event for a Zulu Nation member, and Savage gave the following statement exclusively to AllHipHop: “Never underestimate the power of God when he intervenes in an affair he sets everything straight.”

“Bambaataa is not a pedophile and, in my eyes, he was doing something that was consensual with someone that he thought was of age,” Savage said of Afrika Bambaataa during a recent interview with Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur. “I wish, back in 2016, I remembered about the fake ID, I wasn’t thinking about that I had forgot about that I was in deep depression and still dealing with the trauma as an adult. I want to apologize for the little kid that didn’t know anybody and just wanted to be down with this thing called hip-hop so I pretended to be older.

Afrika Bambaataa’s Accuser Changes His Perspective

“This is something that took place 35 to over 40 years ago,” Savage continued concerning Afrikaa Bambaataa. “This man has never been convicted of anything. Let it go. I needed to set the record straight [and get] my closure. I just hope this brings healing to people around the world. If I can have forgiveness and healing, so can you.” Ronald Savage is a former hip-hop artist that also got involved in a lot of politics and activism in New York, particularly in regards to child molestation.

He accused Afrika Bambaataa of sexually abusing him back in 1980 when Savage was just 15 years old. This kicked off a wave of accusations against the rap legend. This will probably be quite a complex and controversial walk-back to see evolve in the public consciousness. Let’s see how people respond to this shifting legacy.

Kanye West Allegedly Plays Diddy & R. Kelly Tracks Back To Back During DJ Set

Kanye West reportedly played songs from both Diddy and R. Kelly back to back during a DJ set attended by producer Mike Hector. Hector posted updates from the event on social media over the weekend. In one post on X (formerly Twitter) caught by HipHopDX, he wrote: “I’m at this party and kanye djing. he played 2 diddy songs and then a r kelly song right after. this n***a do not give a f*ck.” He also apparently played songs from Prince, Eurythmics, The Eagles, JAY-Z, and more.

Back in 2019, he addressed separating the art from the artist during a Sunday Service performance. “Everybody, they want the art from the artist, but anytime they do anything erratic, they just gonna pull up full documentaries on ’em. And then they gonna come with the Michael [Jackson] documentary,” he said at the time. “We can enjoy all their music all we want. I thought I wasn’t going to go there today but uh … If we gon’ tear down artists, let’s go ahead and take [Leonardo] da Vinci out the Louvre while we at it. Let’s take down all the art.”
