Drake Reacts To HNHH Comments On Original “Take Care” Review

Drake shared a series of comments on HotNewHipHop’s original review of his now-classic album, Take Care, on Instagram, Sunday. The post comes after the release of his newest album, For All The Dogs.

“Reading these comments from when Take Care dropped,” Drake captioned the screenshot with a laughing emoji. One user argued that Thank Me Later was better than Take Care. “Features went harder on TML, classic verses from all of them,” they wrote. “The rapping was better and no track had to be skipped. Take Care has a few I don’t really like… good album but not great.” Others labeled it “weak” and noted they “lost respect” for Drake.

Drake dropped Take Care back in November 2021, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 and selling 631,000 copies in its first week. He brought a star-studded list of collaborators to appear on the project including The Weeknd, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Birdman, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and André 3000. Drake Reacts To HNHH’s Comments

Reading criticism of his work is nothing new for Drake. After the release of For All The Dogs, he feuded with Joe Budden, who responded negatively to the project. In a lengthy post on social media, Drake wrote: “@joebudden you have failed at music. You left it behind to do what you are doing in this clip cause this is what actually pays your bills. For any artist watching this just remember you are watching a failure give their opinion on his idea of a recipe for success… a quitter give their opinion on how to achieve longevity…”

Billie Eilish and Megan Thee Stallion make music that is about as different as you can imagine for two mainstream superstars. Despite that, they’ve always been pretty big fans of each other. As early as two full years ago a clip of Billie dancing to Megan’s viral hit “Body” was proving that the two had a lot of mutual admiration. Clearly in the years since that respect hasn’t gone anywhere as the pair are once again hyping each other up online.

This time it came in the form of another dancing video, though this time it’s Megan doing the dancing. She shared a TikTok showing off both her dance moves and twerking ability in a pair of clips taken as she appears to be getting ready to go work out. “Before the gym She toned but it still move dont panic” the caption of the TikTok clip reads. But fans in the comments were less focused on the video itself and more focused on who popped up in the comments. “Megan I’m literally free whenever,” Billie Eilish commented, leading hundreds of fans to swarm to the post looking for her comment. Megan Thee Stallion isn’t the only rapper that Billie is a big fan of. Last month during a TikTok live, Nicki Minaj was sharing some news about her upcoming new album and a potential Drake collab. During the video, she also shows fans her newest Air Alpha Forces shoes, Eilish’s collaboration with Nike. Minaj also shows a message that came with them “excited to share my newest shoe, the air alpha force, with you. love, Billie.”

In an Instagram story posted of the shoes, Minaj proved that the admiration goes two ways. “When one of your dream girls sends you a pair of her kicks,” she said in the post. Tyrese Blasts DJ Envy For Lying About Disrespecting His Wife

Just when we thought that the dispute between DJ Envy and Tyrese ended, it seems like there’s more to uncover and call out. Moreover, the singer and actor alleged that the radio hosts claims that he disrespected his wife are completely untrue. He said as much during a very lengthy Instagram video, which he put out there because Envy embarrassed him on a public platform. Overall, the message contains a lot of additional allegations, assumptions, and attacks against the media personality’s side of the story. It’s a complicated web to weave, but he broke things down in a few areas.

First off, Tyrese pulled up text messages between all three individuals that they received over the last year or so. This disproves DJ Envy’s claim that they blocked the Fast & Furious alum up until about a month ago, according to the screen star. In terms of their dynamic, he also claimed that Envy and his wife weren’t there for him during hard times, whereas he had done a lot to help them in their relationship. While the Los Angeles native didn’t go into too many specifics, he did hilariously share that he sent Envy’s wife pictures of his new Rolls Royce car.

In addition, Tyrese explained that the timeline of events that DJ Envy used regarding his psych med behavior doesn’t actually line up with any alleged disrespect that he showed his wife. The 44-year-old also defended his character, saying that he’d never do anything to disrespect a known colleague’s partner. In the most basic of terms, he said that Envy lied about the whole thing and is actually just covering up his own reluctance to stay close to him. With this, the R&B crooner will likely provoke some more back-and-forths.

Meanwhile, this Instagram video actually contrasts what Gibson had said in an earlier video, which was much more emotional. Apparently he decided to speak on the issue further after all. The resulting fallout might come soon, it might come late, but one thing’s for sure: during his Breakfast Club interview, he acted much more calmly than how he actually feels about these claims. Lil Xan Looks Back On His Controversial Tupac Comments, Clarifies Them

Lil Xan emerged during a time in hip-hop where disrespecting and undervaluing the old guard was the norm. Moreover, he called Tupac Shakur “boring” during a 2018 interview, which made old heads and younger fans alike immediately discredit him. Other examples of this included Lil Yachty calling Biggie Smalls “overrated,” but Xan’s comments rang especially blasphemous to many. However, the California MC’s grown a lot since then, and believes he finds himself in a much better space these days. While speaking to AllHipHop for an interview, he explained the circumstances behind it, but interestingly enough, maintained that he wouldn’t change it if he had the chance today.

“That interview should’ve never even been aired ‘cause I wasn’t in a good place during the interview,” Lil Xan stated. “I was angry at that time. And all that came down to was a result of me just trying to get the interview done quicker. I was like, ‘Next question. Next question.’ And then they just give me questions and I’m messing around.

Lil Xan’s Interview With AllHipHop Explains Tupac Comments

“I think Tupac is a legend,” Lil Xan continued. “I don’t have to explain myself to anybody, but I grew up on a lot of old school West Coast, a lot of old school East Coast. But after that, that was just a little mishap. It was the result of me not being as mature as I am today. Inexperienced with interviews a lot, too. If you would ask me if I could go back and rewrite that, I wouldn’t though. Because it started an interesting conversation in hip-hop. I did get a lot of backlash, of course, but as the years have gone by since that moment, it started what I think is a very good conversation in hip-hop.

“Why do these new cats in hip-hop that weren’t even born when someone like Tupac was around, why do they have to idolize them like the older people?” the 26-year-old posited. “They can appreciate the craft and the music. Drake & Lil Yachty Troll Each Other’s Parenting Under Drizzy’s Adorable Adonis Post

Drake is always a proud father online, and recently posted some adorable content with his son Adonis on his Instagram. Moreover, the post includes a clip of Drizzy getting his mom a new watch, and asking his five-year-old why he said he doesn’t want it (it’s apparently too expensive). In addition, he also included a picture of him tending to Adonis’ braids, which actually caught the attention of one of his famous friends. Lil Yachty hit the comments with a funny message: “It’s no way your sitting here acting like your braiding his hair for the internet.” In his equally comical response, the Canadian superstar went perhaps a little harder that he had to on the Atlanta pioneer out of context.

“I was unbraiding it b***h,” Drake replied in the comments section of his adorable IG post. “Your son said you ain’t hit him in 6 months on his finsta he said he need some Jordans and a backpack for school.” For the sake of Yachty and his son (who we’re not sure if he even exists), we hope that the 6 God is mostly joking. Maybe he meant to refer to his daughter and not a son, but even then, she would be about two years old as of this comments exchange.

Regardless, it was still pretty funny to see these two best friends go back and forth over what should’ve been just a normally wholesome post. Of course, it’s far from the first time they’ve teased each other online, although they hadn’t involved their parenting skills for a long time. For example, Lil Yachty had a hilarious response to the following Drake-written caption on Instagram. “Least you can do is introduce me to the new you or the old clone or whatever she’s called,” he captioned. “But you expected me to know who she was all along. They used to banish ppl from towns for things smaller then what you’re on.”

Ne-Yo Keeps Trolling Critics Of His Trans Children Comments, Doesn’t Care

If you’ve caught up with pop culture gossip news in the past few days, you likely know that Ne-Yo’s sitting in a pool of hot water right now. Moreover, he recently made some comments criticizing transgender people, in particular parents who allow their children to transition at an early age. While the singer said that he “loves everyone,” his comments didn’t sit well with many people who understandably interpreted them as transphobic. However, he doubled down on them via an Instagram statement and video soon after, and now added another one to that affirmation. In it, the Arkansas-born artist walks around the house and lets an anti-hater audio clip play.

“Look at me,” the audio clip in Ne-Yo’s new video began. “What about me would make you think that I care about about your opinion of me? Your opinion of me is not the opinion that I have of myself. You ain’t make me, so you can’t break me. You didn’t build me, so you can’t kill me. Uh, you know what? God established me, so ain’t nothing you can do to me. Furthermore, his emphasized stance on these matters came after his publicist apparently posted an apology to his page, which he then backtracked immediately with another post. “Ok. Swae Lee & iLoveMakonnen Go Back & Forth After Call-Out

iLoveMakonnen recently ruffled some feathers in the rap game by exposing artists in his DMs after collaborating with NBA YoungBoy. Moreover, he called out Swae Lee, Metro Boomin, and Post Malone for leaving him in the dust until this collab came around. In our original coverage of this post, we mentioned that the Rae Sremmurd member in particular left some comments under his indignant screenshots. However, shortly after, the “Tuesday” MC and singer responded to these with some additional thoughts and concessions. While it doesn’t seem like there’s any real beef here, the alleged ghosting just left hard feelings in its wake.

“Bro I was saying that to you goofy not for any reason besides spreading love,” Swae Lee told iLoveMakonnen. “I’m good in the game. I knew you when you was throwing up on shrooms bro relax tf. I saw you on the TL heard the new jam and privately told you it was hard don’t be that guy. That’s funny though bro fr.” Then, Makonnen responded: “yes it was a beautiful garment and u stay booked busy and werkin it’s no denying. U have nice day, post the link if u like the album rollout. U should’ve been on outside but u was ignoring a n***a.”

Asian Doll recently took to Twitter, going on a rant about haters posting negative comments about Summer Walker’s body. She claimed that disses about changes to the singer’s body are low-blows, noting that she’s “always been a baddie.” “Depression #1 side effect is weight loss,” she wrote on Twitter, “Seeing a woman not physically look like herself can be the reason.” Her post continued, Summer is bad always been a baddie so y’all hoes kicking her while she down is some low sh*t idc y’all b*tches fake & love seeing successful women down bad.”

She also added, “b*tches be swallowing pills to get thick but worried about summer walker body when they body pumped up with pills off Alibaba.com for weight gain.” Shortly after her posts, Asian Doll began to receive some criticism herself for previously selling weight-gain pills. Some social media users thought it was hypocritical for her to chime in, while she herself promoted supplements to assist weight gain. The rapper clapped back, however, claiming she simply sold them “to be funny.” “Hoes was trolling my weight,” she added, “I made 50K plus off that sh*t.”

Walker’s been making headlines lately for her recent breakup with Lil Meech. Her subsequent social media posts have revealed that the catalyst for their split was cheating, on Lil Meech’s part. The news didn’t come as too much of a surprise to those following their relationship. Though they were only an item for a few months, they were constantly involved in scandals, most of which involved Lil Meech’s infidelity.

Walker made it clear that she doesn’t want any part of the cheating, claiming she “tried [her] best to be Jayda Wayda but [she] couldn’t.” She appears to be doing well despite the breakup, however. Russell Simmons Responds To Family’s Comments About His Behavior

Russell Simmons recently got caught up in a lot of heat based on allegations that came forth from his family. Moreover, his daughter Aoki and his ex-wife Kimora detailed his abusive relationship with them, sharing a clip of him screaming at his 20-year-old daughter via FaceTime. Also, they shared text messages in which Simmons blames Kimora for his situation and for taking his money. During Aoki’s Instagram Live session expressing her fears and emotions surrounding the situation, the disgraced record exec actually took to the comments to apologize. Also, he recently shared a response to these developments seemingly addressed to Aoki and his other daughter Ming.

“God is testing you a little bit, it’s ok,” Russell Simmons wrote on Instagram. “Be strong, they are called growing pains as you know. We grow through adversity and struggle. One particular message from Aoki throughout all this hinted at the Def Jam co-founder’s mental health struggles. “My father is not well,” she wrote on Instagram. “For years, he needs help and won’t accept that he refuses to acknowledge he is not himself. He has threatened and bullied my sister, my grandma, he has harassed my grandma in the middle of the night in poor health, send a man to my sisters apartment at 2am to scare her. He lashes out at ANYONE who does not say ‘oh Russell everything is fine.’ Well it’s not fine.

Janelle Monáe Called A “Hypocrite” Amid Topless Era

Janelle Monáe has gotten some heat on social media lately, after comments she made during a 2013 interview with Essence resurfaced. When asked about her style during the interview, Monáe claimed she was looking to be a positive role model for young girls, claiming that she believed covering up was the way to do so. “People don’t ask Jay-Z to take his shirt off when he rhymes,” she explained, “Redefine what it means to be sexy and what it means to be a woman.” “Showing my skin is not what makes me sexy,” she claimed, “I like skirts and dresses just like everyone else, but I had a message I needed to put out there. It was up to me to show people and young girls there was another way.”

Users have dug up the interview, calling Monáe out for stripping down more than a few times as of late. Her “self-renaissance” has included posing topless for Rolling Stone, telling them, “I’m much happier when my titties are out and I can run around free.” Monáe also recently revealed the album art for The Age Of Pleasure, which again, features the performer posing topless. She explained to Rolling Stone, that a personal evolution has allowed her to feel, “more nude, more present, and less anxious,” than ever. The artist also recently flashed her chest during a performance earlier this month, leading to a Twitter uproar.

Social media has been quick to scrutinize the performer amid her newfound confidence in revealing her body. “Sad to say, but money and fame do change some people,” one social media wrote in response to the resurfaced comments. Another added, “She literally ‘changed’ from trying to show girls a better way to being on some nut shit.” Someone else chimed in, saying, “It’s called she trying sell albums lol.”

Some users, on the other hand, came to Monáe’s defense, claiming, “It’s ok to evolve and change your mind.” One user showed their support, adding, “She showed y’all that for over a decade. Now she’s on a different time.” Another commenter raised the question, “People can’t gain confidence or evolve?”
