Logic And JRB Team Up For Hypnotic New Single “D.A.R.E”

Earlier this week, Logic dropped off a new single alongside JRB, “D.A.R.E.” The mellow track tells a tale of getting just a little too high for comfort, pairing amusing lyrics with hypnotic production. Logic teased the atmospheric song a few days back, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the drop.

Now that it’s arrived, it’s safe to say that listeners aren’t disappointed. Distorted vocals blend with an eerie instrumental to create a track perfect for the approaching spooky season. The song’s murky accompanying artwork and early-on reference to alien abduction certainly drives this point home.

Logic x JRB – “D.A.R.E”

The track also follows the release of the performer’s new mixtape Inglorious Basterd, which he delivered to fans last week. It was made available for free to listeners on Bandcamp, and features 20 random cuts, with samples from Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Rick Ross, and more. He teased it back in August, giving fans a taste to come with the song “Still Pushin’.”

Logic’s had quite the year in terms of releases. Aside from the new single and Inglorious Basterd, he also dropped his eighth studio album, College Park, in February. He spoke to Danny Brown about his output in July, revealing that he’s got plenty pent up to share with listeners. “I don’t think it’s an age thing,” he explained. “As creatives, we all work differently, you know what I mean? Drake’s SZA Collab Isn’t “Hard” Enough For Charlamagne Tha God

Earlier this month, Drake finally dropped off his eagerly-anticipated collaboration with SZA, “Slime You Out.” The single comes just ahead of the release of the Canadian-born performer’s new album, For All The Dogs. For the most part, listeners have been enjoying the laid-back track. With that being said, there is at least one person who wasn’t expecting such a mellow offering from the hitmaker, Charlamagne Tha God.

During a recent episode of The Brilliant Idiots podcast, Charlamagne shared his thoughts on the single, claiming that it wasn’t exactly what he thought was coming. According to him, not many people paid the release any attention. “Drake put out a song last Friday and nobody cared,” he says in a clip from the show. “It came out last Friday and people just started talking about the lyrics yesterday.” He continued, noting how long it took for the discussion about the song’s lyrics to begin.

“That’s not Drake-like,” Charlamagne says. “He’s gonna be fine, regardless.” He went on to discuss the possibility that listeners were expecting something heavier from the artist, based on the cover art and album title. “I think we was looking for something a little more harder, a little more aggressive than this slow joint with SZA.” When someone notes that he planned on “bringing back the old Drake” for the new LP, Charlamagne claims that he’s not familiar with Drake’s older work, so he doesn’t know whether or not it missed the mark.

Set It Off is slated to drop on October 22. It’s already confirmed to include various high-profile features from Latto, Chloe Bailey, Travis Scott, and more. Another artist that the former Migos star has joined forces with on the LP is fellow Georgia native Future.

During the stream with Cenat, Offset took the opportunity to preview their collaboration, giving fans a taste of what’s to come. Rick Ross Hits Up Tyrese For A Collab Amid DJ Envy Beef

Rick Ross has waded into the current beef between Tyrese and DJ Envy. “@Tyrese, let’s drop one,” alongside a picture of Hollywood Unlocked reporting on claims that Ross wants to sign the musician to MMG. Tyrese is currently feuding with The Breakfast Club host after he claims that Envy mocked his divorce. In a lengthy Instagram post, Tyrese said that “the gloves are off”. Furthermore, Tyrese warned Envy that, “I would strongly suggest you tread lightly, I don’t do cease-and-desist letters, I don’t deal with lawyers, I don’t snitch, I don’t gaslight.”

Of course, Ross has his own beef with Envy. The two artists feuded over their rival car shows earlier this year. Meanwhile, Ross took jabs at Envy over a collection of real estate scam allegations that the DJ is also facing. With this latest move, it’s clear that Ross is more than happy to add fuel to the fire and team up with others that are currently squaring off with Envy.

The California MC collaborated with her, for which the New York rapper gave his blessing, and their picture together that sparked infidelity rumors means nothing.

“I didn’t know ‘Pac was signed to Death Row, you know what I’m sayin?” Faith Evans began. “Or I never would’ve agreed to do a song with him. Ice Spice added a Boston legend to her efforts to promote her new collab with Dunkin’ Donuts. The first ad for the Ice Spice Munchkins Drink dropped during the VMAs on September 12. In something of a meta advertisement, Spice and certified Boston Boy Ben Affleck try to come up with names for her signature drink. It’s a fun little spot with Affleck turning his Southie accent up to 11 while an unimpressed Spice serves as his straight woman.

The promotion has been on the radar for a while now but the ad spot was the first official debut of the promotion, which will hit stores on September 13. “Pumpkin spice season has gotten a bit predictable lately, so we sought help from our friends Ben Affleck and Ice Spice to create a new pumpkin obsession that only Dunkin’ can offer. The result? The collaboration you never knew you needed: Pumpkin Munchkins and Frozen Dunkin’ Coffee, blended together to create the Ice Spice Munchkins Drink. It’s fun, it’s delicious, and it’s not your ordinary pumpkin drink,” Dunkin’ Donut’s CMO Jill McVicar Nelson told Food & Wine.

The Ice Spice Munchkins Drink, available September 13, is a frozen coffee blended with pumpkin munchkins and topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. “The pumpkin-forward flavor appeals to those early bird pumpkin aficionados, regardless of the season’s official start. With its frozen base, it’s the perfect go-to for those eager to embrace the pumpkin wave ahead of schedule,” Dunkin’ said of the product in a press release.

Spice also released a statement to promote the drink. “I’ve always been a Dunkin’ girl. Collaborating with Dunkin’ and Ben Affleck on this spot was a dream. The drink has a fun twist, a little something in the name for my fans, too. I can’t wait for everyone to try it,” she said. The Ice Spice Munchkins Drink is available from September 13 for a limited time and while supplies last.
