Oftentimes, women are criticized for being too heavy, but Coi Leray has the opposite problem. Rather than dealing with obsessive internet trolls counting her every calorie, the “Players” hitmaker regularly hears from those who think she should be eating more and gaining weight. Understandably, the rising artist gets tired of the discourse every now and then, causing her to expertly clap back on social media. Most recently, she turned to Twitter on Thursday (April 6) to get a few things off her chest.

“Skinny and proud,” she wrote yesterday afternoon. In a follow-up post, the 25-year-old added, “People be like you need to eat. Only thing I’m eating is this motherf*cking hit.” Much to her fan’s pleasure, Leray then went on to tease another new release on the way. “Actually… I’m ready to eat another one… Ready for more music?”

Coi Leray Responds to Trolls Criticizing Her Weight

The upcoming single will follow plenty of huge collaborations for the Trendsetter. She teamed up with David Guetta and Anne-Marie for “Baby Don’t Hurt Me,” as well as Tokischa for yet another remix of “Players.” Additionally, we heard her reimagine Sabrina Carpenter’s “Nonsense,” as well as work with Busta Rhymes and DJ Saige. Aside from drumming up excitement for what’s to come, Leray also made it known that she’s got a few other noteworthy personality traits aside from her size.

“Skinny with good p*ssy,” one salacious tweet on her timeline reads. “Skinny and talented,” the Massachusetts native bragged in another one. Coi Leray Thirst Traps In A Black G-String & Chain Bra: “These B*tches Mad”

If there’s one thing we can obviously always count on Coi Leray to serve up, it’s a seriously fire thirst trap. On Monday (April 3), the Trendsetter artist continued her streak of tantalizing the masses with her sultry looks, this time posing in little more than a tiny black g-string and a metal bra made of tiny chains. Along with her unique lingerie set, the multi-talent also donned sky-high platform heels and a pair of short black leather gloves, complete with tiny metal studs all over the fabric.

In her caption, the 25-year-old previously wrote, “And these b*tches mad, they blame it on TikTok… Yeah these b*tches mad, I got all these BIG BOPS😘!” Leray’s first photo finds her sitting pretty, seemingly kneeling on a counter in a dressing room, perhaps preparing to shoot a music video for one of her many recently released “Players” remixes. For the following two snapshots, she switches up her angle, giving followers a closer look at her petite, perky behind in her barely-there underwear.

As expected, those in the comments had plenty to say about Leray’s thirst traps. “She’s gainnnnnningggggg😍😍,” one person wrote of the “Anxiety” artist’s slim figure. “They finna be sick when they can’t talk about ya weight anymore.” Another criticized her decision to flaunt her body for the masses, writing, “Being original didn’t work so she fell right in line with the rest…” Aside from the fan commentary, friends like La La Anthony and Ka$hdami dropped by to show their support for the Boston-born lyricist.

Her nearly nude mirror selfies certainly caught our attention, but that’s not the only noteworthy content appearing on the genre-bending singer’s social media as of late. Cardi B And Ice Spice Lead The Way For Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2023 Lineup

Festival season is in full swing. The latest long-running fest to announce its summer lineup is New York’s Hot 97 Summer Jam. Moving this year to Elmont, New York’s UBS Arena (home of the NHL’s New York Islanders), the one-day festival is scheduled for June 4 with tickets going on sale Saturday, April 8 at 10 am.

It’s a true hometown showcase this year, with Cardi B headlining and a full list of hip-hop it-girls — Coi Leray, Ice Spice, and Lola Brooke — from the tri-state area looking to make an impact. Meanwhile, Bronx natives French Montana and Lil Tjay and Brooklynite Fivio Foreign will round out the lineup, along with a Hip-Hop 50 tribute from Yonkers’s own The Lox. The only out-of-towner on the bill is GloRilla, a fitting addition alongside some of the other ladies on the lineup.

As of right now, it’s looking like Summer Jam is going to be Cardi B’s first festival headlining set since the pandemic, while it’ll be the biggest hometown show yet for Ice Spice and Lola Brooke. It’ll also mark an important opportunity for them since Rolling Loud New York was unfortunately canceled at the last minute this year.

Coi Leray’s ‘Official Last Remix’ Of ‘Players’ Features Tokischa

Coi Leray presented SZA with the Woman Of The Year honor at Billboard‘s 2023 Women In Music event at the start of March. Leray is moving like she wants that Women Of The Year title for herself in 2024 — from her inclusion in Hulu’s RapCaviar Presents and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Nonsense” remix to continuing to refresh her November 2022 single “Players.”

“Players” already got a remix featuring Busta Rhymes, but Leray isn’t stopping there. When you keep hitting home runs, why stop swinging? She just dropped another “Players” remix featuring the rising Dominican star Tokischa.

“The official last remix,” Leray wrote on Instagram, complete with three fire emojis. “I NEED ALL MY LATINAS TO GO CRAZY THIS WEEKEND.”

“Diamond chain, that’s my bestie / Trust nobody, these b*tches is messy,” Tokischa raps in English, seamlessly transitioning from her Spanish bars. “Big ass smile, my mouth gotta bling / Thinkin’ ’bout money, not thinkin’ ’bout him / Soy la perra, you already know me / Wanna eat my ass en mi penthouse suite.”

“Players” became Leray’s first-ever Billboard Hot 100 top-10 hit, slotting in at No. 9 on the chart dated April 1. She celebrated the news with an Instagram reel set to Tee Grizzley’s “Winning” captioned, “Top 10 [five heart emojis, three party popper emojis] thank you again for all your support! each and every one of you [prayer hands emoji].”

Miley Cyrus’ ‘Flowers’ Is No. 1 For Another Week While Coi Leray Earns Her First Top-10 Song On The Hot 100 Chart

Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” is a hit and it’s not slowing down: It came out about two-and-a-half months ago and it’s still the top song in the country. On the new Billboard Hot 100 chart dated April 1, “Flowers” is once again No. 1 for an eighth total week. The Endless Summer Vacation favorite was Cyrus’ first song to debut at No. 1 and is her second chart-topping single after “Wrecking Ball.”

She’s not the only one making noise on this week’s Hot 100, though, as two artists have made their debut in the top-10 on the new chart: Coi Leray’s “Players” has risen to No. 9 while TikTok-boosted country star Bailey Zimmerman’s “Rock And A Hard Place” is No. 10.

Previously, Leray had two songs reach the top 40 of the Hot 100: 2019’s “No More Parties” featuring Lil Durk peaked at No. 26 while last year’s Nicki Minaj collaboration “Blick Blick” topped out at No. 37. “Players” samples the Grandmaster Flash classic “The Message” and has become a hit on TikTok. She also recently released a Busta Rhymes-featuring remix of the song.

Zimmerman, meanwhile, is readying his debut album, Religiously. The Album., which is set for release on May 12 via Warner Music Nashville. “Fall In Love,” his debut single that immediately preceded “Rock And A Hard Place,” managed a Hot 100 peak at No. 29.

Aside from putting a spin on her own release, Leray also came together with pop star Sabrina Carpenter on the remix of her “Nonsense” single. As Uproxx notes, the original version of “Nonsense” arrived as the breakout single from Carpenter’s July 2022 album, Emails I Can’t Send. The project peaked at No. 56 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart last month, as well as at No. 18 on the Pop Airplay chart in early March. With this collaboration, the blonde beauty is sure to breathe life and love from audiences back into her project.

If we had to crown a remix queen following this weekend’s roster of new releases, it would undeniably be Coi Leray. The Boston-born rap star not only joined Sabrina Carpenter on the updated version of her “Nonsense” track, but she also came through with another must-hear collaboration of her own. Following David Guetta’s “Players (Remix)” from earlier this month, she tapped Busta Rhymes to join her on the same track, this one reimagined by DJ Saige.

“Create a block forever knowin’ my shit hot / Flirtin with a n*gga while twerkin’ on TikTok,” the lyrical legend raps on his verse. “Hurtin’ everything like we workin’ the pitch rock / Playin’ with the cooch like Penelope Pitstop.” Busta also joins Leray on the hook, throwing in some adlibs while she reminds listeners that “girls is players too.”

Coi Leray Taps DJ Saige and Busta Rhymes to Remix “Players”

On the refrain, which many listeners will recognize from countless TikTok videos, the Trendsetter hitmaker sings, “Yeah, ’bout to catch another flight / Yeah, the apple bottom make him wanna bite / Yeah, I just wanna have a good night / I just wanna have a good night.” The original release of “Players” already has upwards of 150M streams on Spotify, and it’s entirely likely this new version will eventually grow to match that.

Leray seems to be gearing up for a big year of music, following her successful run in 2022. She shared “Anxiety” as her first single before teaming up with YungManny and Zubin on “Givenchy.” Following that came “Blick Blick” with Nicki Minaj, her debut album, and a slew of other songs including “Wasted,” “Fly Sh!t,” and “Hold Me Down” with 42 Dugg from CMG’s “Gangsta Art” album.
