MIA Teams Up With Alex Jones To Promote Tin-Foil Clothing Brand

MIA has had one of the most unpredictable music careers of the 21st century. She was one hailed as a cultural tour de force, with hit singles and an eclectic sound. The artist’s output has lessened in recent years, however, and her statements have become increasingly more controversial. She denounced the COVID-19 vaccine in 2020. She also converted to Christianity in 2022, which sparked more than a few polarizing Twitter posts. None of these incidents compare, however, to her latest venture with Alex Jones.

MIA recently appeared on Jones’ web show InfoWars to promote her new line of clothing. InfoWars may seem like an odd place to promote, but the clothing in question aligns with Jones’ beliefs. The latest set from MIA’s OHMNI collection includes tin-foil items and accessories. The “Paper Planes” rapper went on InfoWars to explain the reasoning behind this aesthetic precaution. She claimed that tin-foil lined items will protect customers from things like electromagnetic frequencies, WiFi and “evil dust.”

MIA Claims Her New Clothing Will Ward Off “Evil Dust”

In addition to her InfoWars appearance, MIA issued a press release. This further expanded on the concept of the OHMNI collection, and the potential “benefits” it may pose. “Future backwards is R U TUF,” the statement reads. “If the conspiracy theorists are wrong, good for you, you own some beautiful clothes made with pure silver and precious metals. But, if they are right, you just might have saved the future of humanity.” The statement also promises that the OHMNI collection will provide “100% brain coverage” and prevent 4G and 5G from “entering your brain.”

This is not the first time MIA has been linked to Alex Jones. The international pop star actually defended Jones after he was ordered to pay the families of the Sandy Hook school shooting. She claimed that the celebrities who allegedly “lied” about the COVID-19 vaccine should also be forced to pay the families of those who suffered. “If Alex Jones pays for lying shouldn’t every celebrity pushing vaccines pay too,” she tweeted in 2022. It seems her feelings towards Jones have only softened with time.

Doja Cat Teases Her Vivacious Curves In Black One-Piece

The running theme around Doja Cat in 2023 was one of hatred. After some of her actions and comments on social media, a lot of fans turned on her. Then, her music was also controversial. Tracks like “Paint The Town Red,” “Demons,” “Attention,” and “Balut” were just a few that got people talking. So much so that listeners were calling her a Satanist. However, she shot all of that down in a sit-down with Apple Music.

“This whole very confident Satanism thing is like, I’m sorry – when the f*** did I say that I was a Satanist? When did I ever say anything or even go marching outside the church? Talking about—no, when the f*** did I say that?” Doja continues, “It’s really tacky and annoying and f*****g discredits a lot of the hard work that I’ve put in. It discredits a lot of the hard work that a lot of people have put in.” Doja may not be looking to change anyone’s opinions about her, but maybe some will come around.

She might have gotten off to a good start by “giving fans what they want” with a new photo shoot. On her Instagram, the Scarlet rapper teamed up with Brooklyn-based clothing company LUAR. The photoshoot shows her giving her followers a look at her stunning curves in a semi-revealing one-piece. It is a black top that V’s off to cover her chest, then goes around the circumference of her body. Doja also dons a black headpiece with high boots and goggle-like tinted glasses.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new Instagram photo dump from Doja Cat after collaborating with a clothing company? Is this one of the best looks she has ever put on? If not, what would you rank above it? Do you see her having another explosive year after her 2023? Will fans begin to accept her once again, or will the haters pile up higher? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Young Thug Teases New Clothing Brand As YSL Rico Trial Resumes

Young Thug is currently in jail as he stands trial in the YSL Rico case. This is a case that has a lot of implications for the future of hip-hop. Overall, some lyrics are being used as evidence, which brings into question the whole idea of freedom of expression. Furthermore, Thug is a highly influential artist, and if he were to be convicted, there is a chance that he could be locked up for decades. Needless to say, there is a whole lot at stake here. However, the trial has been confusing due to a myriad of factors.

Prior to Christmas, a co-defendant was stabbed in jail which subsequently led to a delay in the proceedings. On Tuesday, the trial officially resumed and Thugger was all smiles in the courtroom. This has been a lengthy process, so we can imagine just how happy he is to get this show on the road. In fact, Thugger has more than just the law on his kind these days. Recently, he took to Instagram where he promoted a brand-new clothing line called Act Normal. You can see the IG story, below.

“If you support me then…you know the rest,” he wrote. Furthermore, there was a link to the brand’s website which is still very much a work in progress. As HipHopDX reports, Isaiah GQ is a part of the brand. Meanwhile, it is unclear what Thug’s association is. He has his own brand called Spider, although this could be a separate endeavor. Either way, the first collection for Act Normal should be coming out soon. Hopefully, we get some more details on this, very soon.

Let us know what you think of the new brand, in the comments section below. What are some of the pieces that you would like to see? Diddy’s Brand Sean John Will No Longer Be Sold By Macy’s

Earlier this month, Diddy’s former partner Cassie filed a hard-hitting lawsuit against him, which was accompanied by a long and horrific list of allegations. She accused the Bad Boy Records founder of rape, physical and emotional abuse, and more. They’ve since come to a settlement, though his team says that it was in no way an admittance of guilt. “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love,” Diddy stated. Regardless, his reputation has taken a considerable hit. This isn’t the only hit he’s taken as of late, however.

According to new reports, Macy’s will no longer be selling his clothing brand Sean John in stores or on their website. A source claims there were already plans in place to do so prior to Cassie’s lawsuit. Diddy has had an exclusive partnership with Macy’s for more than a decade, with the department store selling his Sean John merchandise since it launched in the late 90s. The source told RadarOnline that the brand just isn’t selling anymore like it once was, leading them to “phase out” the label entirely.

Source Says Sean John Isn’t Selling Like It Once Was

As part of our ongoing review of our brand portfolio, the Sean John collection has started to phase out of assortment since early fall 2023,” the source explained. “It’s the course of business.” They added that Macy’s is “always evaluating what’s relevant” to their customers, noting how Sean John products have simply stopped moving.

Sources close to Diddy claim that Sean John is simply being “reimagined.” They also say that there are “no official plans” to re-release it, however. According to them, Macy’s phasing out the brand is “relevant because this is part of the process.” What do you think of Macy’s planning to “phase out” Diddy’s brand Sean John? Are you disappointed? Kylie Jenner Earns $1M Within One Hour Of Khy Clothing Line Launch: Report

Virtually every move the Kardashian-Jenner sisters make is highly scrutinized (and often criticized) by the public. Still, that hasn’t stopped any of the famous family’s five sisters from raking in serious dough thanks to their various business endeavours. The youngest, Kylie Jenner, is the latest to share a new creative project with her fans, taking a step away from her skincare and cosmetics companies to instead focus her energy on affordable luxury fashion in the form of her Khy clothing brand. Just weeks after soft launching online, the products officially went on sale this week, and according to PEOPLE it only took an hour for Jenner to secure a millionaire’s bag.

The outlet exclusively reported on Friday (November 3) that the mother of two sold out of offerings like the faux leather trench, Moto gloves, and minidress. All of the designs came from Jenner in tandem with Namilia, who’s based out of Berlin. However, ahead of Khy’s official debut, a creative named Betsy John put the reality starlet on blast for allegedly stealing the brand’s concepts from her.

Kylie Jenner Expands Her Empire with Khy

Jenner has yet to address these allegations and instead is gearing up for Khy’s second collection to launch later this month. “I want people to know how completely involved I am in this,” she recently told Vogue of her project. “From original concept, to designing, or co-designing if we’re working with other designers, from picking fabrics, colours, I’ve been in every fit meeting. I am the creative director of the brand and marketing. There’s not an Instagram post or video that hasn’t been personally edited by me, there hasn’t been an Instagram post that I haven’t posted myself.”

Rumour has it that Kylie Jenner could have more than just her clothing line’s success to celebrate this weekend. Some social media sleuths are speculating that her eldest sibling, Kourtney Kardashian, has given birth to her first baby with Travis Barker after the socialite was at the hospital. Kid Cudi Launches Clothing Brand, Members Of The Rage

Kid Cudi launched his clothing brand, Members of the Rage, on Thursday at the London department store, Selfridges. At the release, he spoke with High Snobiety about how the brand came together. Cudi says the late Virgil Abloh and his OFF-WHITE brand served as an inspiration for the effort.

“I had some samples made, and they came back terrible, so I became discouraged and stuck to doing music with some movies on the side. It wasn’t until 2021 that I started getting back into it,” said Cudi. He further explained that he got motivated while quarantining for two weeks in Australia.

“I think without being forced to have free time, I wouldn’t have ever sat down and developed it,” he admitted. “I spoke to Virgil who was really supportive and then reached out to Nigo for guidance on the logo. We went back and forth for a month or so and then we had it.”

From there, he explained he wants the clothing brand to “be a problem for fashion, but a good one.”He elaborated: “People see MOTR and see a Kid Cudi brand, but this isn’t a game. I have goals. We’re coming for the top. I look at what Virgil did [with Off-White™] and that’s the template. If I can do even half of what Off-White™ did for the culture, then I’d be than happy.”

Jordyn Woods Responds To TikToker Critiquing Her “Overpriced” Clothing Brand: Watch

Despite the endless resources celebrities have at their disposal to make their brands top quality for their fans, they still end up missing the mark. In the past, we’ve seen Kim Kardashian criticized for various products she’s released. Her little sister Kylie Jenner’s swim line was also an infamous fail. Now, the latter’s former best friend, Jordyn Woods, is being accused of releasing “overpriced” clothing – according to one TikToker, anyway.

Earlier this week, @thestellawilliams, a Black fashion creator, made a video giving her first impression on several dresses ordered from Woods by Jordyn. In the caption of the clip, she made her opinion obvious, writing “Count your mf days. Be soooo [f*cking] fr rn.”

Throughout the now-viral clip, the plus-size fashion influencer talks about the product’s quality. Specifically, she compares it to that of the disgraced fast-fashion company, Shein. “It’s so bad, I just unfollowed the brand,” Williams revealed. “I would never, ever have any of my followers spend $123 on these dresses. It just feels like a cash grab.”

“Not trying to be dramatic, but the stuff is so cheap feeling,” she explains. “It literally feels like the clearance section of Shein. “I’m this close to unfollowing Jordyn Woods because I actually feel disrespected as a Black woman.”

Of course, it wasn’t long before the California creative herself saw the review, and unlike other celebrities who hide when hit with hate, she faced it head-on, sharing a response on her own TikTok page.

To begin the video, Woods took a moment to thank Williams for her comments. “OK I just want to lead with wow you look phenomenal in the dress, I honestly think you look so good. Thank you for buying the dress – you look great.”

She then added, “I also want to thank you for bringing so much exposure to my brand being that we just launched Monday. There’s always room for constructive criticism and I’m always listening to the consumer to see how I can get better and improve. I will say there is a way to be honest and real without bringing other people down and other influencers into it.”

“Opinions are subjective until you have felt the material and you know, some people are going to love it and some people aren’t going to like it,” the Life of Kylie star pointed out. “That’s just what it is with everything.”
