Ice Cube has often had a strange relationship with politics. While he’s often been praised for some of his activism he also took a controversial anti-vaccine stance during the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, he controversially appeared on an episode of Tucker Carlson’s Twitter show. In a conversation with the former conservative news host, he revealed just how serious he was in his anti-vax stance. He claims to have turned down a $9 million movie role because he refused to get the vaccine.
Now he’s once again crossing paths with politics. That came when he posted a response to a decades-old conspiracy theory on Twitter. In response to a clip shared by a different conservative pundit, Alex Jones, one fan brought up a conspiracy theory about a conversation of powerful voices in rap music meant to shift the genre in a violent direction. “I believe Cube @icecube likely has direct knowledge of “the secret meeting” that Krayzie Bone was referring to in the above long clip … Which leaves speculation that either the N.W.A. group was directly involved in the matter or were at least the model that all other groups were to mimic, being the group was directly blamed for the rising crime rate by the federal government at the height of the groups career,” his tweet reads. “Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one and they all stink! What evidence do you have to make a statement like that?” Ice Cube said in a quote tweet response to the fan. The fan did try and backpedal on their comments in the replies to Cube’s quote tweet. But the rapper himself seems to be done arguing the point.

Alex Jones, the right-wing conspiracy theorist who founded InfoWars, has returned to X. The reinstatement came after Elon Musk ran a poll to determine whether Jones should be returned to the platform. Of the nearly 2 million votes, 70.1% voted to reinstate Jones. Furthermore, Jones has been off of X since 2018 when most social media platforms banned him. Most platforms cited some sort of term of service violation in regard to Jones’ defamation cases related to the 2012 Sandy Hook shootings. That case recently wrapped up earlier this year.
However, Musk did appear to temper fears that Jones could bring down more legal trouble for X. “He cannot break laws,” Musk wrote after announcing that Jones would be unbanned. Jones is yet to make a post on the site after being unbanned. While many of Elon’s fanboys celebrated the move, it was another shift toward the right for many moderate Twitter users. It’s been a common theme across Musk’s tenure as owner.
Furthermore, Jones’ unbanning comes as Musk struggles to retain advertising revenue on the site. Back in November, Musk’s positive response to an anti-Semitic conspiracy caused major problems for X. Musk openly embraced an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory as “the actual truth”. Additionally, this led Apple, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, IBM, Oracle, Paramount, and Xfinity to name a few companies to leave the site. More advertisers have since left the site,
Earlier this week, Musk was seen replying “the actual truth” to a post promoting an anti-semitic conspiracy. The conspiracy in question that Jewish communities are “supporting hordes of minorities” that are “flooding” into Western nations to replace white people. The conspiracy theory is a version of the Great Replacement Theory. The notion is used by white supremacists to justify their opposition to multiculturalism and immigration. Furthermore, advertisers have told multiple outlets that they do not wish to see their products advertised alongside Neo-Nazi content that Musk now appears to be actively promoting.
Alex Jones is someone who has always been extremely controversial. Overall, his controversial ways have gotten him into a whole lot of trouble. Although he has never really cared about his reputation, he still faces consequences for it. For instance, he was sued for his comments about the Sandy Hook massacre. Essentially, Jones tried to say that the whole thing was a hoax and that the parents were crisis actors. It was a horrible thing to say that came with extreme consequences.
Recently, Jones went to trial over his comments. Subsequently, he was hit with a pretty massive penalty. He was essentially ordered to pay the parents over $1 billion. However, he quickly came out and tried to declare bankruptcy in Texas. With that said, it became clear that it would be extremely difficult for any of the families to get their money. According to Hollywood Unlocked, this has led to a new offer that would see Jones spending a whole lot less.
Essentially, Jones would pay out $85 million, minimum. He would have to pay $8.5 million every year for 10 years. Furthermore, half of every dollar he makes over $9 million would go to the parents. Overall, this is a pretty hefty sum of cash, regardless. However, in Jones’ situation, it is a lot better than the amount that he was going to have to pay out, originally. At the end of the day, his lawyer is still apprehensive, and he has yet to accept the offer.

In a statement to TMZ, the non-profit’s Executive Director Liora Rez elaborated on the dangers of Kanye’s rhetoric. Most recently, the former Adidas collaborator shared new music referencing the “Deathcon” tweet. Also, far-right commentator Alex Jones slammed his obsession with Hitler. As he continues to associate with harmful media figures and spew more misconceptions, groups like StopAntisemitism work to dispel them.
“Kanye uses his celebrity platform to push dangerous antisemitic tropes about Jews and power and he refuses to stop,” Rez told TMZ. “His continuous onslaught of bigoted statements has resulted in horrific antisemitic acts perpetrated by white supremacists, Black Hebrew Israelites, and other fringe groups looking to cause Jews harm.
“Jew hatred is already out of control in the United States,” she added. “The last thing we need is a celebrity like Kanye to add fuel to that fire.”
Unfortunately, Kanye’s “antisemite of the year” comments have caused more hateful actions against the Jewish community. For example, a group on an L.A. freeway held up a sign that read “Kanye is right about the Jews.” Later, demonstrators perpetrated hateful language and allegedly gave Nazi salutes.
At face value, Kanye has pushed back on some of that, albeit once confronted by Piers Morgan in particular. Moreover, he told the TV host that he only had ill will towards Jewish people who mistreated him in the industry. However, he followed such apologies with praise for Adolf Hitler and saying Jewish people should “forgive’ him. Then, he made these statements to many far-right figures, who have either since criticized them or fueled the bigoted fire. Either way, he’s not showing any sign of stopping, which only gets more dangerous.
Alex Jones called out Kanye West and Nick Fuentes for having a “Hitler fetish” after the two appeared on his show, last week. Jones reflected on the interview while speaking with right-wing YouTuber Steven Crowder on Tuesday.
“There is this Hitler fetish. And no, I’m not into dudes in fancy peacock military uniforms that, by the way, got 22 million Germans killed,” Jones said. “Hitler was horrible, screw Hitler, burn in hell Hitler.”

Speaking of Kanye in particular, Jones remarked, “I don’t think he’s mentally ill — I think he’s enjoying himself.“
Jones also labeled Fuentes “baby Hitler” and a “Nazi lover.”
Of the entire interview, Jones says, “I can’t bring myself to watch it again — I can’t stand to watch it.”
Fuentes responded to the criticism by labeling Jones “controlled opposition” on Telegram afterward.
“MTG and Alex Jones both threw me under the bus to appease Jewish groups,” he wrote. “I don’t take it personally but people need to be aware that they are the definition of controlled opposition.”
Speaking on Jones’ InfoWars show, Kanye West had admitted to liking Hitler.
“The Jewish media has made us feel like the Nazis and Hitler have never offered anything of value to the world,” Ye said at one point. “I see good things about Hitler, also.”
After the interview, West posted a picture of a swastika on Twitter. Elon Musk banned him from the platform in response.
